Abraham - Barn

Her words gave him more comfort than he could have ever felt, and her kiss left him in a state of bliss that had been absent from his eternal life since he fell. He desperately wanted to pick her up in his arms, like he did in the olden times, and bring their lips together in a joining of passion and love, alas it was not to be. His ears heard the devil stand, he expected to see a broken shell of a daemon, what he saw instead, was his former master.

The armor on his wings, the power from the black flames, the hatred in his eyes. Abraham had to stop himself from bending the knee in worship of the true Lucifer, this devil didn't control him anymore, and he never would again. Abraham's crimson filled his iris' completely as he shifted back into his hybrid form. He stood in-between Satan and his love, staring at him eye to eye. "Anariel, no matter what happens here today, know that I've always loved you, and will continue to do so even if death pulls apart."

He entered into a combat ready stance, his eyes conveying his determination to finish what he started here. For a moment that seemed to last an eternity, they just stared each other down, when suddenly Abraham made the first move, aiming a left claw to the right side of the devil's ribcage, Abraham feinted, retracting his hand and using the momentum to spin at an inhuman speed before unleashing a left spinning heel kick aimed for Lucifer's jaw.

Anariel

The moment they held one another was too sweet, and lasted for too short a time, Anariel noticing the rise and return of Lucifer just a moment before Abraham picked up on it. It had been millennia since she had seen Lucifer in his full glory, and though he stood now before them in the mortal incarnation of such raw power, she had no doubt that he had attained the full measure of his strength once more. She looked at him for a moment, then to Abraham.

"If Death should take one of us, she will take us both, but I do not think your former owner desires our deaths so much as he desires to make an example of us." She drew her blade, letting her spear rest, assuming a stance with the blade held low before her, tip nearly brushing the ground, her left pair of wings swept before her to mask her body's motions.

Before she could try to coordinate more with Abraham, he shot forward. She cursed silently at his rash actions, but used the moment to begin casting a heavy spell. It was no form of offensive magic, rather a method with which she could send a message to any and all creatures she felt the desire to send one to, but the speed at which she spoke and the sudden flares of energy warping around her as her voice wove the ethereal threads together would look like any powerful spell might. She just hoped she could get the incantation off before Lucifer decided to go for her. She just needed to get the message to Rythe and Aeriseth that Lucifer had returned in full strength, and that she and Abraham were in danger.

Lucifer grabbed Abraham's foot as he tried to kick him in the jaw, he watched as Anariel begin do her little move. He waited patiently as scythe disappeared, only to be replaced by his beloved broadsword, Crow. "Oh, I've missed you! You remember this sword, right pet?" He asked Abraham as he dropped his hold on his foot and backed up some, admiring his sword. "Come now, songbird. I know you can do better than that. You too, wolfman. Now I'll give you one more chance because I'm feeling generous." He readied his sword with a sadistic grin wide across his face.

The reflexes of Lucifer shocked Abraham as his foot was stopped dead in it's tracks by the devil's hand. The broadsword which had cut many a mortal in two, now loomed over both the envoy and ethereal's heads. Hearing Anariel begin the incantation, he began to approach Lucifer cautiously, trying to stall for as much time as he could possibly give Anariel to finish her spell. "All that power you just regained, and you couldn't fix that wing? Even if my power should pale in comparison to yours, you've still become a shadow of your former self."

With Lucifer's reflexes seeming to excel at blocking normal speed attacks, Abraham would have to vary his strategy. He began to run circles around Lucifer, his speed so fast that the naked eye wouldn't be able to keep up with him, the dust around him kicking up to form a small tornado around him. He waited for the perfect opportunity to strike, and unleashed a flurry of lightning fast claw strikes to Lucifer, coming at him from all angles as he ran and struck at the same time.

She finished her spell, ensuring that the others of import would know that Lucifer was whole once more, though she did not mention what they had found of Uriel. She would explain that personally, when the chance found her. She had, after all, more pressing matters on her hands. Standing up from her kneeling position, she folded her wings and let them absorb into her. There was no need to risk damage to them if she could help it.

"I am the Songdaughter, first female given life by Aditi herself." She stepped forward, flourishing her blade somewhat to relax herself. "You would do well to remember that, Lucifer, God of both the Dawn and the Dark, Corrupter of Man." She breathed out, then in, and then stepped forward again, this time letting her battle nature take over.

Calm as the eye of a storm, Anariel raced in, bronze blade flashing crimson in the ruddy light shining through the broken ceiling. She swung once to test out the speed she was facing, then sidestepped to swing again, each motion blurring slightly as the grey mist than enveloped her wings began to stream from her skin. Despite the fury of her motions, her face, clear as day, was devoid of anger. Instead, it held nothing but focus on the fight, knowing that to lose might be to lose everything.

"Don't you remember? I need the forgiveness and grace from our beloved Aditi so I can be made whole again." he mocked, his tone spitting. "Thanks to Song Bitch over here." Lucifer dodged each of Anariel's nothing bothering to give notice to Abraham's unorganized attacks, in front of his steps while raising his blade to Anariel matching some of the attacks he didn't dodge. When there blades striked, he used the connection to push his mass towards Anariel before removing his blade, sending a swift kick to her midsection, spinning with the momentum as he also swung his blade down towards her. "Hush now, songbird."

As each of the king lycan's strikes seemed to whiff Satan completely, it became obvious to him that he'd need to become Anariel's shield. Using his absurdly fast healing factor to nullify damage dealt by Lucifer. He was fortunate that the devil had stopped paying attention to him, as he brought the sword down on her, Abraham stepped in between, attempting to catch the blade. It sliced through his fingers and buried itself deep into his clavicle.

The outside damage was negligible as his body quickly began recovering, but the mental damage was unbearable. The wound seemed to close around the blade. making it look more like Lucifer had run Abraham through with it, the area surrounding the entry wound and exit wound went through a process of charring the skin to almost black and then healing before starting again. The lycan howled in pain, the burning seeming to do more damage then the blade itself, but he held firm, trying to keep the sword immobilized inside of his own body.

The kick connected, driving in under her sword arm. As the force of the blow physically lifted her off the floor, her chest plate denting ever so slightly in the side, and she began to sail sideways, his blade carved just a bit into her right ankle, only stopping because Abraham dove in to take the brunt of the attack. Had he not, she likely would have lost the foot entirely.

She crashed and slid against the floor, gathering a host of scrapes and bruises as she did. She started to stand, only to falter as her ankle refused to hold her weight. She whimpered somewhat, tried to force herself to fight through the pain, but realized that, without the support of her other leg, she would be unable to fight. At least, she would be unable to fight safely.

The archangel closed her eyes, a few tears leaking out, and opened up her wings, praying quietly that they remain useful to her. With a single flap, and a bit of magic to alter the density of the air around her, she rose into the air, legs hanging below her, a dribble of blood forming a pool beneath her. She pushed through the blazing throb in her ankle, her mind screaming at her to rest.

She screamed, letting that inner pain release a bit through outward sound, and leaned forward, shunting her body forward by magic instead of by physical force. Her blade shimmered again in the light surrounding them, and she faltered, her concentration breaking as the pain truly began to drive through her. She had not felt such pain in what seemed like forever, but despite her mental fortitude, it sheared through her like his blade had her body. She couldn't take much more, and with her falter, she fell to the ground, magic slipping from her control to drop her to the ground in a heap, wings draped over her.

She did not move, but she groaned as blood continued to slowly leak from her leg.

Rythe, Arriving at the Barn

"The three of you, circle around the barn find vantage points. You two, watch from each entrance. Keep your shields at the ready, Lucifer will try to strike at any advantages against him." As the five split apart, Rythe sped towards the barn, the loud stomps of the horses making his arrival apparent from within the barn. He pulled himself up, crouching on the horse, neither blade drawn, balancing on the racing steed. As the first of the Wardens gained their view of the situation, two from the air windows above, two from each entrance while another watched the exterior of the barn, Rythe began to access their vision.
His horse quickly approached the barn door at full speed; just before it reared back to avoid the wooden wall before it, Rythe kicked off the saddle, shattering through the wall with his heavy shoulder-plates whilst drawing the Eclipse, knowing Lucifer was using the opposite element as his blade, while his other hand held onto his katana at his side. His pale blue blade swung downwards towards the now-whole god, roaring a coarse warcry as his body nimbly plummeted towards him.

Lucifer heard the horses and looked on as Rythe entered the barn and immediately blocking the strike with his own blade which he ripped out of Abraham. "Ah, Rythe. It's nice to see you too! Sucks we've had to see each other on such bad terms." He pushed Rythe away, making some distance before he charged at the newcomer at a quick speed, his blade aimed for his midsection.

Despite the pain, the lycan couldn't help but smirk slightly at the appearance of his old friend Rythe. The elation was cut short however as Lucifer's blade was ripped painfully out of his chest. He fell to the ground, shifting back into his human form. His body was repairing the physical damage, but the mental toll such excruciating pain had caused him, left him on the brink.

He looked over to Ana, who sat in a heap of great feathers, and used the last of his strength to crawl his way over to her. His vision was blurring severely as he reached her side, but he thrust out his hand and grasped hers. "Ana, please, get up." A golden glow started to surround him, as a power he hadn't used since falling from heaven began to reemerge. The glow transferred over to Anariel, as her wounds began to heal themselves at a pace on par with his own. He'd managed to let her use his own healing factor. Once her ankle was completely reattached, he let out a weak smile. "Give him hell...Ana." He said before darkness overtook him, and he lost consciousness.

As the golden light from Abraham began to surround her, Anariel felt a warmth similar to that she'd once felt when she was very young. Her ankle healed shut, muscle and tendons knitting back together far faster than she could have healed them herself, the skin sealing over seamlessly. She recovered as if by a miracle, and there wouldn't be even a scar to show for the damage she had been dealt. As the magic worked its way through her, fixing the minor bruising and various smaller injuries she'd sustained, she stirred, great wings rustling slightly as she tucked them back into place by reflex. When she came to fully, the sound of battle sharply tuned her senses.

She still had work to do.

She squeezed Abraham's hand softly, releasing what power he'd given back to him to speed his healing in whatever way it could. With a whisper in his ear to provide him comfort in unconsciousness, she stood, all the pride she'd had left gathered and tempered. She had a right to be proud, but it would not help her here. Her hand went out to one side, calling her spear, and when it coalesced from the ether moments later, she immediately spun it into a ready stance that she'd long ago taught the Wardens. Despite the differences to her physically, she could only hope that Rythe would see the stance and recognize her for her, not for a minion of Lucifer.

Body ready, spear almost humming with anticipation, Anariel loosed herself the dozen or so feet towards the devil. She extended her arm, carrying the spear with it, sending the blade first over the last few feet to try and penetrate his back, a harsh cry leaving her lips for that brief moment of the thrust.

Rythe, Barn

Having anticipated as many moves as possible before engaging, Rythe gave a light smile as he watched Lucifer's blade arc towards him. While he didn't quite recognize the other angel, it was obvious she was not pure. There was nothing pure in battle, only the victor and the fallen. Drawing his katana, he parried the blade while stabbing outwards at his opponent's torso with the Eclipse. The dual blades were extremely uncomfortable to work with, limiting his offense greatly, but he had dabbled in the form long ago, he would need as much defense as possible while exploiting mistakes and gauging power. His mind was still open to sprouting his wings, he would need the distance to utilize the rays of light from his blade, yet he was hesitant, knowing them to be quite vulnerable. If it came to be, and his defense was shattered, the guillotines would hopefully be able to hold the god off until they escape...

Lucifer blocked Rythe's swing with his arm, blood oozing from the wound. He paid it no mind as he pushed both swords aside with his own and his arm, sending a close-ranged kick towards Rythe's sternum. Immediately after, he dissappeared, hiding in the shadows dancing close to Abraham's unconcious body. Once there, he leapt out and lifted the wolfman's head, placing his dark blade across his throat. "So Anariel, what shall we do now? We can stay locked with the threat of me slitting his throat or you try something and I actually do." To be sure of his plan, he sent his flames around him and Abraham, creating a barrier of sorts. "It's up to you, songbird."

As she shot forward, her target vanished, and she twisted at the last moment to not risk skewering her brother, Rythe. She paused for a moment, only to spin as Lucifer reformed, blade pressed tight to Abraham's throat. She was about to lunge at him again, to drive her weapon down into his chest through the top of his shoulder, but his threat gave her pause. Her brow furrowed slightly.

"You have threatened worse, Lucifer, and done worse still. What would you have of me to keep him whole?" she asked, her muscles going slack as she caved. In her head, she suspected that he wouldn't simply drag his weapon across Abraham's throat, but simply take his head off entirely with the motion. She knew, at least, that he had all the strength necessary, and as much as she loved Abraham, she was afraid to die. She would never admit it aloud, but she had lived for so long that the fear of death loomed larger than ever in her mind.

Her spear vanished, dissipating into light, and her wings tucked close around her as she hugged herself. With her arms around her torso, armor and all, the wings folded around that, wrapping her in a cocoon of feathers.

Aeriseth
Arriving at the Barn

A large cluster of energy appeared outside of the barn, spreading into a circular form; a portal. Aeriseth appeared through the portal, revealing her large black wings extended at full length. Lady Death clenched her fists as she looked around, there were Wardens mounted outside of the barn which meant who, or what, she was looking for was inside. Aeriseth gritted her teeth together as her wings began to disappear into thin air. She knew better than to fight the Devil himself with her wings exposed. The succubus slowly moved away from the portal, unclenching her hands to allow for her double headed scythe to appear in her hands; Reaper's Descent. The pink ethereal vapour that had appeared when she created the portal continued to dance around her body as she approached the barn, unsure of what she was going to witness.

Lady Death scanned her surroundings closely before entering the barn, taking note of the lush greenery around her to use at her disposal. She knew that if she was to fight toe to toe with Lucifer, that she would need to use every weapon in her arsenal. Manipulating nature was one of her deadliest tricks that she would be able to fully utilize in her current surroundings. As Aeriseth walked plant life began to grow alongside her, small vines lined with thorns as a means of defense should their encounter draw them outside; she would be ready with a few tricks up her sleeve. Along the walls of the barn venus fly traps began to sprout, instantaneously growing into giant threats that loomed over the doorway. A grin appeared on Lady Death's face; dramatic entrances always excited her. She approached the barn doors, her weapon in hand as she pushed through their heavy weight and appeared in the room.

"HONEY I'M HOO--" her voice was cut short as she saw Abraham being held by Lucifer, a dark blade across his throat. Her gaze then shifted to the heap of feathers cocooning someone, the wings did not look familiar to her but she could only assume that it was Anariel because the only other person in the room was Rythe. Two Ethereals, Two Envoys. Lucifer. This was no time for games and Aeriseth's expression quickly changed to that of a hardened warrior, one that had been plagued with battle for centuries. She stared harshly at her old master, her eyes paying close attention to the steel against her fellow Envoy's neck. "My, my Lucifer... It seems you've been awfully busy. Why don't you put down the dog and come play with some fresh meat?" she mocked him, hoping he would release Abraham but not knowing why she hoped that.

Rythe, Barn

Rythe watched with quiet anticipation as his swords were swept to the side before feeling a heavy kick. He stumbled back slightly before composing himself once again, laying eyes upon Lucifer with his blade to Abraham's neck. While he was bitter over their initial siding with the other god, there was no reason to let his former brother die for no reason. It was apparent that he had changed sides once again... He glanced towards the others, noting the noisy arrival of Aeriseth and the now weaponless Anariel.

Breathing out heavily, he gave a quiet sigh, "Lucifer, I'm going to throw you my weapons... There's no need to kill him..." Carefully, and quite slowly, he tossed both of his swords towards them. Threatlessly, the blades embedded themselves in the soft ground, inches next to Lucifer, slightly in between him and his hostage. For what seemed like whole hours to Rythe, the blades motionlessly sat before they flashed to life. The Eclipse suddenly burst with light, blinding anyone who gazed anywhere near it while his katana released an overwhelming torrent of wind around itself, blasting them apart at slightly different angles. As quickly as possible, he painfully ripped his chain guillotines from his wrist, whirling them shortly, then launching off two of the heavy blades towards Lucifer, in quick succession.

"Oh, it's the slut." he spoke as he looked over at Aeriseth. "What's your plan? Fucking me to death?" he said with a short laugh before turning his attention back to Anariel and Rythe. "Seeming that the other two are not as spirited as you I'll oblige, it was pleasing to see the show of cowardice for someone's pathetic life." Letting go of Abraham's head, removing his blade as he did so and moving to Aeriseth. Quickly building a wall of flames to seperate and block off Anariel's, Rythe's and Abraham's access to the up coming fight. Walking close to Aeriseth, he tilted her head up to him, placing a finger under her chin. "Do your worst, whore."

Alexander flew through the portal, immediately dismissing his wings as he ran after Aeriseth into the barn. Stopping in his tracks as he eyed Lucifer backing up a few steps, drawing his weapon with a glare.

Lila ran out of the portal, looking around her eyes landing on the barn ahead. Running foolishly into the danger ahead, she stopped behind the Envoys, eyeing the monstrous daemon ahead. "So this is Lucifer?" she asked as she removed her whip and sword instantly. She knew she couldn't hold a candle to the powerhouse in front of her, but hey, she wasn't one to back down from a fight. A feral grin spread across her lips.

Abraham - Barn

The sudden impact of his limp body hitting the ground jolted Abrahams system, the flurry of Rythe's swords as they flung his body through the air, woke him up completely. He came to a stop near Anariel and Rythe and slowly began to stir. Pushing of the ground with both of his hands, he got himself to his knees and observed his surroundings. Ana and Rythe were currently weaponless, and Lucifer was holding the chin of Aeriseth.

He brought himself to up to his feet shakily, moving his way over to the cocoon of feathers that was Anariel. He'd never seen her look so scared before, he fell against her, warming her with his embrace. "I'm ok, Ana." He whispered in her ear. He looked back to Lucifer in time to see Alexander and an unknown woman show up. Along with an angel with black wings, who smelled very similar to the devil himself. "Watch the red-headed angel. He may be one of Lucifer's sons." He whispered to Anariel again as he leaned against her for support.

Eddie Toorn - Barn

As the black winged angel made his way into the barn, the entire sight struck him with fear. He saw both Ethereals, Rythe and Anariel, the latter of which he noticed had changed her wing colors, all three envoys, at least he assumed the burly man leaning on Anariel was Abraham, and Lucifer himself. His legs shook as he regarded the devil, he could feel the pure evil radiating off of him, and yet there was something... familiar within his visage. Without even thinking he whispered. "Father?"

As the blast of air struck her, Anariel grabbed the air, her spear forming in her hands at a moment's notice. She rammed the weapon down to hold herself in place against the wind the ripped at her, her wings opening involuntarily. She steadied herself against Abraham, using him to recover faster from the shock. She smiled at the sound of his voice.

"Do not worry, Ra. I have met young Eddie before. He and I have not always had the best of conversations, but I do not fear him so much as the god in the room." She actually let out a slight chuckle, then steeled herself again as the wind subsided. She looked at Abraham for a moment, then placed a hand on his cheek.

"Rest now, Ra. We have the fight in hand, and claw and wing. There are enough of us that, if nothing else, we'll keep him busy. If things get too bad," she paused for a moment. "A warrior worth their salt knows the value of a tactical retreat, you know?" She pulled her spear back out of the ground and flapped her wings, shooting out of the broken roof to hover for a moment. She drew back her hand, spear radiating a soft light, prepared to let loose, to throw her weapon like a bolt of lightning from on high.
