When this story begins many superheroes, villains, and everyday people will have been what they are for years already, growing closer to retirement and closer to being rejected by the people they choose to protect, or not. I have left things mostly vague since much of the past events don't matter, but there are some major events that characters can reference, or have been apart of, if any writers want that for them.

- First contact with the future Red Lantern Atrocitus by Canadian soldiers. Incident is covered up by Project Cadmus.
- First World War brings about the Amazonian warrior Wonder Woman. She disappears for the better part of a century and becomes a mythical figure among soldiers.
- Justice Society of America is founded in the 1960s by the original Flash, Jay Garrick, Doctor Fate, Hourman, Wildcat, Starman, and the Black Canary.
- Felix Faust launches attack on Metropolis in the mid 1960s, revealing magic to the public and the presence of Doctor Fate.
- Doctor Fate forms the Sentinels of Magic in the early 1970s to protect the world from magical threats with Deadman, Zatara Zatara, The Phantom Stranger, and Madame Xanadu.
- General Zod's attack on Metropolis and attempted invasion of Earth in 2008. Thwarted by the heroes who would go on to form the Justice League.
- Lobo's first appearance on the planet hunting down a man named Kyle Rayner in 2011. He was defeated by Earth's Green Lanterns and Superman.
- Sinestro attacking Earth in 2013 only to be defeated by many of Earth's mightiest heroes. This led to the Justice League expanding their membership.
- The death of Jason Todd at the hands of The Joker in 2012. Joker was wounded and disappeared into Appalachian Mountains. Joker Gang dissolved and disappeared from organized crime in Gotham.
- The Question murdered in late 2015 at the hands of rogue FBI agent Philip Roarke, dubbing himself Black Mask, in Gotham City.
- Jonathan Crane, The Scarecrow, murdered by Deathstroke in late 2015.
- The Riddler, Edward Nygma, murdered by Cheshire in Gotham City hours before the death of The Question.
- Formation of Task Force X. Date unknown.
