"Oh for fuck sake!" he growled "Vir, you stupid bitch, you just had to fuck everything up!" he said. They were surounded and outnumbered. "Jane, quickly!" he yelled "Grab one of those cubes and let's book it!" he ordred as he held his zipline gun in his right hand. Fighting robots wasn't Layton's expertise, what was he suppose to aim at? The eye? If that didn't work, then what? At that moment, Layton realised that it would be very bad if the elevator suddenly stopped working.

Jane quickly grabbed the cube and started running in the direction of the elevator. Suddenly the door seemed much further away than before. Just a few metres more. The smell of burned metal and flesh filled her nose but, the girl didn't stop to look. "Open the door," she screamed panicked as alarms were going off. This certainly wasn't good. Not good at all.

A bright light was what Vir saw. A shocking and electrocuting surge of energy struck Vir and entered her. Vir was not left unscathed - both physically and mentally - for the shock reached her wiring connected to her brain and reached her brains, reaching there once more. The shock fried and sent an array of electrons moving at a new peak that rewired her brains.

A scream escaped Vir's mouth subconsciously. A scream without emotion, but of pain. Emotionless agony of a body that had once reeked only of anger and now anger was diminished. The unethusiastic scream stopped after a small moment as she stood there still. Vir panted as she looked around with her wide eyes like a deer in the headlights. She knew what was going on, she knew where she was, but... she was thinking. A word and fear filled her now calmed mind...

What?

She heard the screams of her compatriots as she snapped to reality. They are in a danger. Her adrenaline started pumping again as she quickly around to others. She ran towards the elevator, but not before taking a quick turn around as she took at the droid that had previously attacked her. She pulled her trigger as she emptied her clip with care at the droid at locations that she presumed from appearance to be potential weakspots.

It seems that the elevator wouldn't be very useful now, especially now that it's been completely deactivated. But for good measure, it exploded, sending hot molten debris everywhere. "This isn't your tomb, but you're welcomed in it," the droid said to the group. The bullets fired at hit seemed to bounce off, not a single scratch from Vir's or Layton's rifles. It seems to be made from some superior material.

Nuli had quickly grabbed Jane's shirt before she stepped too close to the elevator, and she swiped the cube from her hand. It was already beginning to get hot.
"We're gonna die." the archaeologist panicked quite a lot.

Not yet though, Nuli held the cube tightly and concentrated, she then yeeted it right at the droids. As expected, it quickly exploded. Sending a shockwave across the temple's room, the flames engulfed the droid, forcing it to retreat. The explosion also left a gaping hole on the ceiling, but they're several floors until they arrive at the surface.

But of course, it really began to get hot now, the explosion damaged something, sending the thousands of other cubes in a frenzy. They all began getting really hot at the same time. Like an oven.
"Guys, travel up." Nuli ordered

Layton glared at the giant hole above them. "Shit, shit, shit!" screamed a voice inside his head. He knew what he had to do. Layton was suddenly struck with adrenaline like never before. He sprinted twards Jane and the archeologist, he then began sliding on his knees and grabbed both of them with his left arm. "Hold on!" he yelled as he fired a zipline above them. The tip of the line was lodged firmly in the roc, metal or whatever it was.

Ziiiiiippp!!!!

The three of them were propelled upwards at an incredible speed. When they reached the other room, Layton struggled to hold them both, and quickly tossed them onto the other floor. "RUN! GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!!" At this point, Layton was thrown into an unforseen panic, his life was at stake. After collecting himself, he dcnded into the room filled with robots "Hold on! I'm on my way!" he alerted the other two.

Jane screamed out when she suddenly got pulled away from the elevator. "No," she screamed as she reached out for the artefact that was pulled out of her hands but, her scream was drowned out by the explosions. Suddenly there was fire everywhere, though the rush of adrenaline she barely felt the stibging of burns on her hands.

Before she could do anything however she got jankend of the floor. Her supriced scream quickly changing into a coughing fit. As she got thrown on the floor above she collapsed through her legs trying to catch a breath with all the smoke around.

As she recolacted herself enough to have a cohesend thought she screamed,"the artefact can't leave without the artefact," frantically. Or atleast she tried because the only thing she managed to do was breathing in evenmore smoke starting another coughing fit.

Vir's senses weren't the best. One moment they were running and shooting, the next an explosion happened and caused fire. Vir's senses and sense of her surroundings kept on flickering, as moments in between were left with her not noticing what had happened. Vir had found herself in middle of smoke as she started coughing. She heard the woman screaming above her as Vir once more got a hold of her surroundings. She took a quick breath of air as she started holding it in. She quickly ran to the elevator as she proceeded to take out her knives. She started banging against the roof of the elevator until the knives cut through the ice. Once that occured she quickly climbed up and started using her knives to dig into the icey walls as she started climbing up the long shaft for safety.

Reinforcements had to come of course, and they came in number. Some of the drones were about half the size of Nuli and very wide. Each one of them was glowing red and swarming into the room. One of them had fired right at Nuli, only missing when Nuli had moved out of the way. She quickly lept up, grabbing one of the drones and holding on tight. The drone flew and swayed trying to get Nuli off but she kept holding on, warming particular circuits directly. She managed to sway the drone towards a panel, getting another cube, then towards Vir. The Quark grabbed the human's arm while the drone carried the two to where Jane and Layton were waiting.

Once to the above room, Nuli let go of the drone, landing on the floor, unfortunately, the slippery flood made her slip face down. The archaeologist opened her and took out a case, placing the cube in it. That should allow the cube to be carried without melting the temple or burning everyone. "Elevators are shut down, but we still have the stairs, they're that way." The archaeologist said to the group.

With a sigh, Layton quickly made his way up with the others. "Then I advise we do it quickly before they fall appart or something worse." He said as he bolted for the stairs "This isn't how I imagined running away out of a tomb." he commented "I imagined we would be running from a boulder, NOT MURDEROUS ROBOTS!" he began to think of all the ways he could die, but getting vaporized by robots was NOT on the list. "Just wondering, how many floors till we reach the serfice?" he asked in a panicked breath.

As soon as Jane saw the alien had the artefact she started running chased on by Layton's words. She was too busy getting up the stairs without falling to really listen to Layton. With the ice melting a little stream has formed, making the stairs even more slippery. Falling now could very easily be deadly. But, there was no time to think about dieing on those stairs with the heat of the flames on their backs.

Vir was momentarily spooked by the grabbing hand of Nuli as she quickly reacted by swinging her fist straight at Nuli's face. Once Vir turned her head to look at what she thought to be a drone she noticed that she had punched Nuli in her face.''Oh, shit! Sorry.'' She commented as she let Nuli pull them up. ''Are you absolutely sure this is safe?'' Vir said as she looked cautiously at the drone that was - for some reason - carrying the two upwards.

As the squad gathered up Vir looked at others in silence as she started to think about something: Why is she in this mess? Who are these strangers? What happened to her? She looked down at her armor as she faintly recognized the police riot armor that had been tarnished by years of combat she had ensure in her... her... time that she struggles to remember due to it all being a fuzzy memory. What is going on?

After a moment of silence and following others Vir slowly took a couple of big steps on the stairs as she rushed to the front. ''You guys have rope, right? Tie yourselves and one another to a rope.'' She said as she took her knives as she started stabbing her knvies into the walls with care. ''If any of you slips we can pull you back up from the rope. '' She said as she took one of her two knives and throws it at the general direction behind her. ''Catch and use this to get a steady hold on the walls. If you slip then this is your only source of avoiding falling to your death.'' She said as she started walking up the stairs carefully. After a moment of walking she took her backpack as she pulled out her coil of rope as she threw it back at whoever was behind her. ''I suggest that the physically weakest ones will be in the middle.'' She explained.

"Okay Layton, go in the middle," Nuli said, jokingly of course, "Eh I'm just kidding," Nuli commented, proceeding to go right tot he back, she held onto the rope and took a deep breath. Waiting for everyone else to get into position. Things were beginning to heat up, quite a lot and the entire temple began getting hot and humid, with lots of water melting from the ice. The archaeologist, of course, found herself in the middle. She had the cube stored in her bag, safe and sound and she's the weakest one of them all.
"There should be hover bikes on one of the floors if we make it to them." The archaeologist said

The droid, of course, refused to leave them alone though, and some new droids ended up appearing. One tank looking droid had somehow managed to crawl out from the hole. It hovered close to the ground and there was just one giant cannon at the front. Of course, there were dozens of other smaller drones as well, may of them also armed with dangerous lasers and plasma rifles.

The monstrous droid fired it's cannon, missing the climbing group just lightly but destroying a bit of the stair. The plasma also burnt out a bit of Nuli's rope, making her slide right back down to the bottom. Luckily, she managed to hold onto the wall using Vir's knives. "Go one without me," she said while the droids began making their way up, surrounding her. Nuli took out her new plasma sword and activated it, swinging it at the monstrous droid to keep it back

Layton looked back to see Nuli with a cute little plasma sword, surrounded by robots, this caught him by surprise because this whole time, Nuli struck hm as the tipe of person who wouldn't get herself into that kind of situation. For a brief moment, Layton thought of running away, but then -out of nowhere- he had a moment of clarity. For him, stealing was always about gaining, with Nuli dead, he would gain nothing.

So he weighed his options, either he would get the hell out of there with his life and possibly lose a crew member, or risk his life and help them instead. This was starting to get to him, and he didn't like it. Besides, letting a teammate die would ruin his reputation.

Layton made his decision. He shot his zip line at the biggest robot, breaking through it's eye, then he quickly grabed the line with his metal arm and activated his shocker. Letting out a strong wave of electricity directly into the robot. Probably not enough to shut it down, but enough to stun it. He then pulled himself twards it and performed a tossball kick. Though, to his embaressment, it barely fazed the drone at all.

Dialogue options:

1) Well, this is embaressing...
2) To be honest, this went down differently inside my head.
3) [Lie] This was my plan all along, haha!!!
4) You're lucky you have a nice ass, or else you'd be dead!

Option chosen: 4)

Layton then proceeded to grab Nuli by the back of her jacked and zipline both of them back to the stairs. Taking down a few drones on the way there.

Jane got into position more on the back just as she started to knot the rope around her waist, the drone appeared again. Before she could do anything to help the woman in her surprise Layton jumped into action. As he got back on his feet she grabbed the battery around her neck. At the ship she had the time to recharge a bit but, it wasn't quite at full capacity. The small girl pointed at the drone sending yet another bolt of electricity at it. "Come hurry up," she said as she hurried to knot the rope around the waist of the others, without really looking if her bolt of electricity even hit.

Vir disliked that choice.

Vir turned her head around as she saw the droids approaching. ''Blueberryjuice, get out of the way!'' She shouted at Nuli as she stopped her treck to take a few shots at the droids. She started shooting as she aimed directly at their sensory radars that would pop up as eye-shaped cameras in an effort to blind them and weaken their combat effectiveness. After a while of shooting she emptied her clip as she removed it and let it drop to the moist floor. She reloaded her gun with an another clip before she took a hold of the knife oncemore. ''Everyone keep your heads down!'' She shouted as she held her gun with one hand as she kept shooting behind her at the droids blindly. She held from her knife with her other hand as she continued walking up the stairs.

The big droid took enough punishment, Vir's shots with Jane's lightening and Layton's grabbing hook managed to somehow break something inside. The droid spun around in circles, hovering up and down before finally exploding, destroying most of the droids near to it. And sending a shockwave that cracked the ice and sent everyone up the stairs unto the next room. As usual, Nuli would break her fall by laying down directly on top of Layton, and the archaeologist fell on top of Vir somehow.

Nuli stood up immediately and got to work, she looked around and grabbed her laser sword again. The foundation was beginning to break after that droid's explosion. She took one deep breath and sliced the air with her sword. Or as it seemed. Turned out she sliced a cloaked droid in half, and it fell down the stairs and exploded. She quickly took out her tablet, luckily the ship should be sensitive enough to receive the signal. With a push of a button and the insertion of a password, the ship began to fly towards the temple, waiting to blast off into space.
"The ship's waiting outside for us," Nuli said to everyone. She then swung her sword, cutting down another cloaked droid.

Layton started using his zipline gun like an electrified whip. Suprisingly enough, it was working just fine. Step by stp, he was making his way up the stairs. With every step, a drone was executed. "Jane and the archeologist should go first!" he yelled. He was starting to have fun, but still ready to go with the flow when it came to tactics. "Hurry it up people!" Layton demanded.

The girl screamed out as an explosion sent her flying up to the other floor once again. Quickly she got back on her feet and followed the others. The girl didn't real weapon with her. Instead, she made sure she was leaking out electricity so every drone getting near enough got a shock. It did cost an awful lot of sugar so she would definitely need to eat something soon. But, for now, getting to the ship was more important.

The ground shook gently as the ship barged its way into the room. Vir was shaken by the sudden appearance of a ship. ''...A real flying ship?'' Vir let slip her lios. She had not been inside of one before in her life. The first itme she was in a ship was mere hours ago. She then took the knife out of the wall as she started runbning towards the ship. ''Go go! Run!'' She shouted.

The ship had to blast its way through much of the temple, lots of destruction and much if it was blown up. Unfortunately, much of the droids were too distracted by the group to have stopped the ship. So, it made its way inside the temple, and the entrance opened up for the five to escape. Better get inside, all the chaos and drama was really melting the ice, and all the cubes were cooking down there, spreading the heat upwards.

Of course, it wasn't that easy. The golden droid suddenly appeared from above, with three more of those mysterious droids. It appeared to have been already repaired, looking brand new. "You thought you can escape me?" The droid asked in victory. Then it wirelessly ordered one of the droids to fire right at them, " Hand over the cube so I can begin the necessary repairs to this facility."
