Humanity Hates Us (Private with Enki, Widowmaker, and Rachel Rider)

Don't drown.
It's the year 2022. Society is killing itself, but humanity blames one set of people. The X-men.
The X-men have been in hiding for two years. Authorities threaten that if the outcasts are caught in public, or caught at all, they are to be killed on sight.

These outcasts still live in hiding, be it with others like them or alone.

Power: Paint, ink, any kind of substance in that catagory. She can control it, summon it, and even create life with nothing but a piece of paper and a little magic.
Other: Her eyes are constantly changing color, though they were once silver.

Name: Mirage Inara
Age: 14
Gender: Female
Bio: She had discovered her mutant ability at a young age, but due to its nature, it just made her and her family look insane. When her parents came in and saw her playing with realistic looking fairies and unicorns, they started to question some things. And when she woke up from a nightmare to a room filled with monsters and demons, my mother thought she was downright possessed. Incidents like these continued, with her father questioning her mother's sanity more each time she came home. After her illusions finally caused the family to shatter as the father left and the mother attempted to kill herself and Mirage, she was sent off to an aunt who offered to look after her. In truth, this aunt was a sympathizer to mutants and had seen the signs of her power manifesting. She grew up relatively happy as her aunt taught her how to keep her power under wraps. However, when her friend came over and her bedroom doors closed, the rule against illusions went away and they spent their evenings wearing the prettiest dresses Mirage could image up. That was where she was wrong. As they group up and went to high school, her friend saw a presentation regarding mutants and instantly became suspicious. After telling her parents, Mirage was placed on a watch list, and she had no idea that the

Personality: Rather introverted and very quiet. She has a wild imagination and loves to daydream. When it comes to her powers, she has grown to rather dislike them, seeing them more as a curse, especially due to some of the symptoms using it causes. She’s skittish around new people but is very trustworthy of those she knows. However, she is naive with familiar faces and sometimes makes bad decisions in friends, which could lead to some problems.
Power: She can create illusions that look and even feel real, but they don’t alter reality. She can choose who sees what, but she must see every illusion she makes. Sometimes she unwillingly makes personal illusions that she can’t tell are fake, and when she stretches her powers too much, she starts to become erratic, not being able to tell reality from her fantasies, and has even come close to self-harm in the past, only her Aunt keeping her from actually going through with it.

Name: Darshan Hadenas
Age: 21
Gender: Male
Bio: As a kid, seeing the entire world every time he blinked made his childhood rough. He was sent to an insane asylum for Schizophrenia, where he learned to somewhat control his powers, focusing on a particular region, but it never went away. Each night, he’d wander around the world, seeing sights and watching people. But every time someone saw him, they screamed, and he’d wake up in a panic. After a while, he realized that this was no hallucination, and he planned his escape, memorizing the routes of the guards and nurses, slipping into predetermined hiding places. Once out of the asylum, he ran on the streets, and eked out a living as a thief until he heard of the X-Men, and decided to join them, going to places he knew they were headed and waiting.

Personality: Very closed off, he has a tough guy persona and is a natural leader. When he cares about someone, he tries not to show it by being kinder to everyone, which can make romance confusing. He is extremely defensive of his friends, and will
Power: When he closes his eyes, he can see everything. It is extremely overwhelming, and usually, he limits the area he sees to make it more tolerable. And time his eyes aren’t receiving light, he uses his other “eye”, so in essence, he can see in the dark but much more so. He tries to blink as little as possible due to this. When he sleeps, he doesn’t dream but instead just sees with his other “eye”, appearing as a ghost-like apparition to those who see his ‘walking’ around if he focuses.

Darshan looked over the city from his vantage on top of an abandoned apartment building. He saw this place marked as a target on the patrol briefing he viewed earlier. This would definitely attract attention. Apparently, some girl that was caught doing mutant activities was hiding out here, so, for now, this was where he'd stay too. She had been rather careless in her hideout, it was obvious she came here in a rush. The boards were sloppy and there were little defenses other than said boards, which only covered the front windows. Darshan didn't know the girl's name or powers. It was either this or a townhouse, and this place was easier to hide on.

Colossus would be arriving alongside Darshan as they were both on the hunt for the mutant female. He thought this would be a good exercise for the Recruit as he was considered a mentor figure to the younger generation of X-Men. Planting a gentle hand onto Darshan's shoulder, he would breathe a sigh as he spoke. "Sigh... Why must they make this difficult? Darshan, this would be good exercise for you and a potential new recruit. Be careful however. You may have a grip on your new powers but you're still a youngling. Be extremely careful not to overdo it, okay?" He exclaimed, having a look around for the girl himself. "A new potential recruit to the X-Men is better than another casualty."

Inside the abandon apartment building sat Liz, hugging her knees and cowering in a corner. She was terrified for her life, and at any given moment, someone could come bursting through that door with a gun aiming at her head. It would only take the pull of a trigger for her to be dead. The only defense Liz had was a bunch of wooden board strewed about, and maybe a bodyguard--if she could only find a sheet of paper. What really bothered her was that this place didn't seem to have a since stray piece of paper. In all honesty, she hadn't done much searching, in fear for her drawing attention to herself. But.... it was her best bet if she wanted to survive. With that, Liz stood from her corner, and left the room she'd been sealed in in search of some paper.

(Shit, I forgot about Leon XD)

Leon sat behind Colossus, waiting patiently. He knew that he wasn't the one to go in and help this girl because he was too young. Darshan was older than him, making him the obvious one for the job. As Leon sat on the side line, he couldn't help but wish he was the one out there. He itched for a fight, wanted to fight for all the mutants. but of course, for now, he'd have to sit on the sidelines and wait.

Darshan closed his eyes, and the darkness was filled with the entirety of his other sight. Focusing, he brought his field of view to just the city. A patrol was coming this way. It seemed to be a kill or contain squad from the looks of it. These tended toward the former, though. He checked in on the girl, who seemed to be looking for something. She looked scared, and he felt bad for her. He remembers what it was like, on the run, barely scraping by...
His eyes snapped open and he stood up, looking at his two companions. Leon had came to the X-Men around the same time as him, but he was younger. He did have a rather impressive power though. "KoC squad, headed this way on Birch street and Frost avenue. Looks like this will be a fight on two fronts." He walked to the edge of the building. "Girl is on the move too. Looking for something."

"Good job, Darshan. Lead the way." He exclaimed as he praised him for good use of his powers. "Alright. Darshan, Leon. This will most likely end up being a rough situation. There may also be civilians in the area as well so restrain your powers. Try not to be too destructive." Colossus exclaimed, making a valid point on the situation. "You may be future X-Men, but our powers can still cause more destruction than we desire. And sometimes, it might even drive you mad. Remember, restraint is key and remember our goals. Now. Let's get going."

Leon grinned and nodded, standing. He waved his hand and a dagger materialized into his hand. Leon liked to think his powers were the most powerful, and it was a rare possibility that he'd go insane.

Inside, the more Liz failed to find something, the more frantic she got. She burst into a room she hadn't checked yet, and almost fainted when she caught sights of a blank piece of notebook paper. She skimpered over to it, rested her hand on the center of the page for a second, then pulled away. As she pulled away, a black, inky hand reached out at her. The two latched onto each others' wrists and pulled until a human-shaped thing of liquid stood in front of her. Liz squeezed the wrist, and color eroded the creature. Soon, standing in front of her, was a stone faced man holding a gun.

Darshan looked over at Leon and Collosus before heading down with some rope Leon had made earlier. The kid was good, much better oriented to fighting than him. Still, he was young and Darshan didn't want him to get hurt. Rappelling down from the roof to the floor above where the girl was, he quickly checked for the KoC squad.
"We have a minute till they arrive. I'll go get the girl." After saying so, he checked through the building to find the girl. But when he found her...
"Shiiii.... Someone else is here now. And they look like a soldier!" He looked at Leon. "Could you make a weapon? Didn't think I'd be fighting so soon. Should have been prepared..." He muttered under his breath.

"That is your first lesson in the field, Darshan. You must always be prepared, expect the unexpected." Colossus exclaimed, preparing to drop into the building. "Alright. Let's go." He followed down the rope and jumped into the building, alerting both the girl and the man. "Drop your weapon and come quietly." He declared. "We're head to safely take the girl."

Leon threw a materializing handle at Darshan, and once he caught it, it was fully made as a sword.

Liz froze, the body guard unmoving. She shakily went to a window and looked through a crack at who was there.
"Come out there with me. If they try anything... don't hesitate to kill them."
The creature nodded and they both walked outside, Liz hiding behind her guard.

Darshan nodded a thanks to Leon before looking toward where the girl and the intruder are. "Put your weapons down and let the girl go!" He shouted as loudly as he could. "We know more of your patrol buddies are headed here, but for now we outnumber you and have our abilities. As for you," he pointed at the girl "Stay calm. We'll get you out of here."

"Relax. Everything will turn out okay." Colossus exclaimed to the girl, while he turned to the Soldier and began approaching him. "Listen. We know more of your squad are nearby. If you just let us take the girl quietly without any trouble, then we will be on our way, okay? You do not want to fight us." He exclaimed, keeping a positive expression and state of mind. "We only want the girl. No need for bloodshed."

The guard just took silently, not even blinking. It didn't move. Liz stepped out from behind him. "What do you want with me..?"

Leon got inpatient. "Listen, we know you're a mutant, and so are we! If you come with us, then you'll be safe... all we gotta do is take care of this guy."

"We're only here to help you better understand and use your powers. Come with us, join the X-Men. We'll make sure you are welcomed, with open arms." Colossus exclaimed, looking towards the girl. Now he turned towards the soldier once again. "Listen. Do not speak of what you've seen, and nothing will happen. We promise no bloodshed will be dealt so long as the girl comes quietly."

Liz thought for a moment, looked at each of them for a long moment. Then, she took a long, sharp piece of wood from her pocket, and without warning, stabs the guard behind his left ear. The creature turns back and dissipates into the ground. Liz looks back up at the people in front of her. "If you lied to me..."

Leon was in too much shock from her cold blooded murder... but... the guy just went into the round... "Wha..?"
