It was a dark, and rainy night for the new recruits at the Imperial military processing center. The starships had landed in the recruits were told to disembark, immediately greeted by screening drill sergeants as they were all corralled into Single file lines, along yellow footprints that led to the entrance of the facility. Standing upon a raise podium, among the screening drill sergeants was Sergeant first class Adamus Kalfas. A rather imposing mail of Caprican descent.
Sergeant Kalfas let his eyes run across the new recruits, many of them had long messy hair, clad in civilian clothing carrying flashing suitcases, all of them appear young maybe no older than 15 or 16. Of course those that stood out were the older individuals from the various prisons around the Empire who opted to join the penal battalion to commute their sentence.
Each drill sergeant made their way to each recruit, screaming at them and shutting a white mesh bag into their arms. The sergeants ordered them to empty their bags and their pockets items that were considered contraband were thrown aside into a yellow bin that sat beside each recruit. Personal items such as money, electronics, personal communicators, and drugs were placed in the yellow been along with magazines containing pornographic content or anything that was deemed heretical
Inside the white mesh bags or a pair of black boots, a dark green BDU uniform, A copy of the Imperial creed, and the articles of imperial decree.
Once each recruit had been given their uniform, and all contraband taken from them the sergeants with Usher them into the building itself which was a large hall. The sergeant first class found another raised dais. At this point the main group of recruits was separated into different companies of 60. The only group that was not separated into a company of 60 where those that were gathered to serve in the Penal battalion, they would train separately from the main recruits, and integrate into the military when they demonstrated that they could be trusted. This is the story of company 8–20, of the second combined fleet of righteous purpose.
