SWEETNESS AND LIGHTENING

The albino young man whipped his lips clean after he finished the soup, he nodded softly as he listened to her speak. He made sure to keep in mind for their future together the information about her enjoying cherry pie and soon replied as the waiter settled his lobster dish in front of him "Oh! Then once we're back home I'm going to have you try German food. It's mainly pork and potato based but it has a very unique flavor, different than anything you would find around England." he pointed out as he picked up his cutlery to start carving away through the lobster "I know what you mean. Dry meat should be considered a sin." he chuckled softly before he put a buttery bite of the lobster's meat into his mouth and started chewing it. "I would say I'm more inclined to sweets too, my mom never had to bribe me to eat my meal but... I always looked forward for my birthday because that's the only time they served me a traditional German cake. It's called Black Forest and it's made entirely of chocolate, I always was allowed to eat about two or three slices of the cake on my birthday and it always made me so happy. Even now, as a grown up, that's what they serve me as dessert on my birthday." he sipped from his wine before taking another bite of his meal.

Speech

"I was a little thing when I was a child and still am." Alexandria nodded as she picked up her cutlery and started to cut into her chicken, placing a small bite of it in her mouth. "Mother was worried I would be a sickly thing when I became a woman." She rolled her eyes in an unladylike manner. Clearing her throat, she looked up him and smiled. "That sounds wonderful. I would love to try it one day." Chocolate cake never appealed to her but what he was describing, it sounded so wonderful. "Then you will have to try Irish food one day. It is wonderful and extremely filling." She hummed at the thought and took a small bite of the broccoli she had on her plate. "Mother makes a lovely roast that I believe you would enjoy. She lets it marinate for a few days before she cooks it and it has that lovely herbal taste to it."

CHIT-CHAT

He raised an eyebrow and tilted his head slightly in mild confusion "I can't consider you a little thing. Sure you're not tall, I'm fairly taller than you. But I think you're quite-" he cut himself on the last word, a blush spreading across his face and ears as he let out the last word slip through his lips in a lower tone, his plate of food seemed suddenly all too amusing as he focused his eyes on it. "curvaceous." he cleaned his throat as she continued to speak, showing excitement to try the Black Forest cake "I'm sure you'll enjoy it. And I would love to try Irish food. Haven't ate that before... at least as far as I can remember." he finished eating the remaining food on his plate and nodded when she mentioned a herbal roast "I really enjoy roasts and herbs are always a wonderful addition to any dish. I even ate a very delightful sweet herbal mousse. Quite exotic but very tasty and works as a great palate cleanser after a heavy meal."

The way he described her caused her face to heat up and she could feel a bright blush come across her cheeks. Even though it had only been twenty-four hours since their wedding, her husband was slowly starting to become more comfortable around her. This warmed her heart. She didn't want him to feel like he needed to hide himself from her.

"It sounds like we many dishes to try when we arrive home." Alexandria smiled as she reached over, taking her glass of wine so she could have a sip of the lovely red liquid. "Do you suppose that we will have our own house when we arrive?" She asked curiously as she set the glass down, taking another bite of her roast. "Or will we have to find one ourselves?"

DUTIES OF THE HOUSE

The blush was still coloring his pale cheeks after his small comment about her body figure, he looked up at her when she asked about their future home and smiled before replying "My family was setting a home we have for us to live there, it's not in the city, it's more towards the countryside but it's a short trip to big city in case we need to go there. It's not a mansion but it's a quite spacious home. They said that it'll be ready for us to move in as soon as we arrive from our honeymoon." he sipped from his wine to clean his throat and then continued "My family asked for yours to take your belongings there, so we'll find all our things settled in place." he bit down his lower lip and then took a small breath "I suppose that we'll have eyes constantly on us... the staff will be all around." he knew that certain duties were expected from them as a married couple, and he knew that the staff wasn't only to help them in daily chores but also to let the families know if such duties were being taken care of. He looked at her for a moment and then shifted his gaze to the half empty glass of wine, he hated that they were forced to become so intimate in a matter of days. During the honeymoon he's been trying to give her as much space as he could, but he knew that once they move in together at their family home, things won't be that simple. And the duties will start to be pushed more and more into their lives to a point that they will probably need to make decisions.

"It is to be expected." Alexandria knew that once they were home, things were going to quickly rely on her as a woman to perform her duties as a wife. "However, I do not worry about them so much as I do myself and you." She figured that when they got home, they would be bombarded with questions, well wishes, and suggestions on how their marriage should be the rest of their lives. In the back of her mind, she knew that one of the biggest questions they're going to receive is when should they expect the first child to be born. Alexandria herself wasn't ready for children but she couldn't help but think about what would happen if they did have a little one in the future. A little one with a happy combination of both of within their appearance would make her happy and the thought brought a soft smile across her face.

"Do not worry." She reached over and gripped Gilbert's hand, squeezing it in a reassuring manner. "I think things will be fine and we will have a happy life."

SOOTHING TOUCH

The albino squeezed her hand back and looked into her eyes, he let out a small breath that he didn't notice he was holding and nodded his head "Ja, I think we'll do fine. I think we'll make this work out wonderfully, I mean, that honeymoon trip has been quite nice so far." he made a small pause and whispered under his breath "At least in my opinion." he sighed softly and continued "What worries me is the pressure our families will start to put on us, I'm afraid it might be hard to ignore their requests and everything they're expecting from us. Sooner or later I know we'll need to cave in to their requests and... it just displeases me that we'll need to do things even though we don't feel ready for such steps." he gently caressed the back of her hand with his thumb and watched as a waiter came by to settle down the dessert in front of them. The plates had chocolate adorning it and in his case a cylindrical chocolate mousse standing right in the center of said plate. "Now, that looks delightful. How about we finish our meal and then have a walk around the train before we head back to our cabin for the night?"

"The honeymoon trip has been wonderful so far!" Alexandria had definitely been enjoying herself and because of this, she was relaxed. She would prefer this over the stress of being home with her parents and their overwhelming presence. "I have never had such a relaxing time before in my life." She smiled brightly as she let go of his hand when their dessert was placed in front of them and she nearly drooled at the sight of it. "Darling, I do not think that they will be concerned with us after so long." Alexandria picked up her spoon and started to dig into her own dessert. "Knowing my father, he is too worried about his business to worry about us and my mother... Well, she would probably be concerned but there is not much she can do about it." She didn't worry about anything happening when they get home as for a few weeks, they would be left alone to adjust to living together. "A walk sounds lovely. I would love to go back to the glass cart. The view of the stars there is stunning."

HIGH HOPES

"We'll see." he replied shortly about their families not being around them as hawks, he had a feeling that they might want to see results of such arranged marriage soon, maybe a child would start to be demanded by them and that worried Gilbert. He didn't want to jump over steps with Alexandria, he wished that they could take their time in knowing each other. He took a spoonful of his dessert and as soon as the sweet flavors invaded his mouth, he felt his whole body relaxing and forgetting about their families might bring them. He sighed softly once he swallowed the dessert and a smile adorned his lips, he nodded softly and looked at her "The glass cart sounds a wonderful idea. I would like to see the starts before we head back to our chambers." he then took another spoonful of his dessert and said quite exited once that bite also was swallowed "That's very tasty dessert."

After their dessert plates were taken, they were able to be excused from the rest of those who haven't finished dining and Alexandria finished off what little bit of wine she had left. She picked up her napkin and carefully wiped her mouth clean, not wanting to smear her lipstick. Setting her napkin down, she stood up and waited for her husband to stand up before she took his arm with her hand. A soft smile adorned her lips as she followed him out, the two starting to walk towards the glass cart.

"Do you think the boat we are taking in the morning will be as extravagant as this?" Alexandria asked curiously as they walked down the narrow walkway towards the cart. "Or do you think it'll be dull?" She glanced up at him for a moment before turning back towards what was in front of her as they stepped into the next cart, only one more before they reached their destination.

SPARKS FLY

He had a small smile plastered on his face as they walked with arms linked through the train, being around Alexandria gave him a serenity, a tranquil that he couldn't quite describe. Gilbert looked down at his wife as she made her question and let out a soft hum as he pondered it "To be fair, I don't know. My father is the one that planned everything." he shrugged his shoulders softly and then added "But, you know, since we left the train station, the tickets were handed to me since we wouldn't have any escort accompanying us. I'm sure we can check the tickets once we arrive in our chambers to see if we can have some information regarding that." he gently squeezed her hand with his free one while his arm remained looped around hers. He walked with her inside the glass cart and took in a deep breath as the view was breath taking. All the stars sparkling in the night sky were allowing the room to seem a bit brighter. "Wow!" he let the interjection of awe escape his lips as his red orbs moved across the constellations above them, taking in all their beauty. He then moved his head and looked down at Alexandria, taking in her beauty since he was still trying to get used to the fact that the pretty woman next to him was his wife. He shyly reached a hand to her cheek and softly caressed it with his thumb and knuckles before saying in a caring voice "It's beautiful."

Nodding, she followed him into the glass cart and turned her eyes up towards the sky. Millions of stars glittered near a cresent moon, candles gently flickering on a table nearby. It was the perfect atmosphere in her opinion as they stood there in silence. She let out a sigh as she stood there with him, her smile still on her mouth. "I wish every night could be like this." Alexandria mused to herself quietly and glanced at her husband out or the corner of her eye, her smile widening ever so slightly. He seemed so content around her and this warmed her heart.

The way he touched her cheek caused her eyes to widen and she looked up at him with a shocked look in her eyes. However, she relaxed and smiled as she gently took his hand with her free hand. "Perfect." She murmured as she smiled lovingly up at him.

INCONVENIENT DESIRE

Gilbert knew that his was a very bold move, at least that's how he felt as he touched her cheek gently. For a moment, as her eyes grew wide, he thought that perhaps he had crossed a line and made her uncomfortable; he wouldn't want that, he simply want to show his affection to her, the time he had spent with her made him only grew fonder of her and he thought that such gesture was considered acceptable regarding their unique circumstance. After all, they're officially a married couple and usually couples show affection to each other. He opened his mouth, ready to apologize the intermission, aware that perhaps they needed more time before a caress would be acceptable but then she rested her own hand on top of his and he felt like a weight left his body. He allowed the tensed breath to leave his nostrils and nodded softly as a reply, his eyes met hers and slowly they descended to lock on her lips. A thought crossed his mind but his inexperience and also the freshness of their relationship made him quickly put it aside, as much as he asserted himself that it shouldn't be done, the albino couldn't help but keep wondering how it would be to kiss her soft lips. He vaguely remembered the quick peck they shared during the wedding ceremony but he was so nervous and so worried that he would make her uncomfortable on that day that he barely could pay attention to details about his first kiss. He took a sharp breath as to remove himself from such a trance since he now noticed he was still staring at her lips, he quickly looked away staring at the distance while he felt a warmth invade his cheeks. He finally noticed the table with candles and then said in a small voice, feeling slightly ashamed that he had been staring at her for so long "Would you like to sit down for a bit?" he gestured with his free hand to the table that had some chairs around it. He then slowly, just so he wouldn't startle her or seem rude, slid his hand away from her cheek and picked her hand in his instead, holding her in a tight but gentle grip, showing that he still very much wanted her company.

Despite how she knows she shouldn't feel this way so soon, but she felt a sting of disappointment. Alexandria didn't let this show and scolded herself mentally for it. It was still too early for such feelings but it was quickly overcome by hope when he took her hand once again. Nodding, Alexandria tugged him over to one of the benches and took a seat beside him, looking up towards the sky once again.

"Hopefully we will have more nights like this when we get home." Alexandria smiled as she glanced at him briefly. "Nights where we are not bothered or smothered by others." She turned her eyes towards the stars. "Perhaps late-night picnics could be possible?" She suggests as they sat there. "Or simply late-night tea. Either way, I would enjoy more nights like this." As she spoke to him, Alexandria could feel her heart speed up in a warming manner as she gripped his hand. She was silent for a moment as she gathered her wits about her, trying to gain some courage and yet, trying not to push the boundaries too far. Mentally shrugging to herself, she decided to take the risk and moved closer to her husband, laying her head down on his shoulder.

MIDNIGHT MAGIC

The albino sat by her side on the bench while they remained staring into the stars, he nodded softly as she said she hoped they would have more night like that one and let out a small chuckle when she mentioned late-night picnics. "That sounds delightful, I would love to have a picnic during the night. We could lay a towel on the grass and eat and drink while staring at the sky." he still had his hand wrapped around her and sighed softly, hoping that their life as a married couple at a new house would be great. He didn't object when he felt her head rest against his shoulder, it even brought him a sense of ease and he let out a breath he didn't even knew he was holding, he took a quick glance at her and pressed his lips together as he pondered something in his head, he then decided to make a move he thought wasn't so daring. He placed a soft and quick kiss to her forehead, it didn't reach the middle since she was resting on his shoulder and it ended landing somewhere between her temple and the intended place. A blush colored his cheeks and quickly looked away, unsure of how she would react.

A happy hum escaped her lips as she sat there, her eyes closed as she enjoyed his nearness. He was so warm and relaxing to be around. Alexandria could get used to this easily and she knew that with time, she'd start seeking out his presence and wanting to be around him more. She hoped that he would one day feel the same about her. Before her thoughts could continue, she let out a long yawn and reached over to cover her mouth with her hand.

"Excuse me." Alexandria murmured quietly in a tired tone. "I seem to be more sleepy than I originally thought." She didn't want this moment to end but she knew that if she sat there too much longer, she might end up falling asleep. That was the last thing she wanted to do at the moment. "Perhaps we should retire for the night so that we may be awake to board the boat." As she said this, she made no indication she was going to move yet as she was extremely comfortable where she was. It was still so early but she, surprisingly, felt so relaxed where she sat.

HOPELESSLY WISHING

A small nod could be noticed as he gently moved away from her so he could get back on his feet, even though he moved his hand remained locked around hers so they would remain close. He helped her back on her feet and said "Ja, we better head back so we can have a full night of rest and be ready for the next part of our trip." he smiled at her, he thought that every move of her and every breath she took was so gentle and beautiful. She was like a porcelain doll that he wanted to protect but he was afraid of causing more damage than good. He doesn't want to turn into a overly protective husband, he cares enough about her at such moment to know that he want to give her space to do things as she wished, her happiness always will come first for him.

He silently guided her back to their chamber, he unlocked the door and stepped into their cabin on the train. Gilbert closed the door behind him and looked at her "Would you like to change in the main area or behind the curtains on the bed area?" they were still trying to get adjusted with the whole concept of sharing the same space but he thought that they had been managing well so far in the train trip.

"I can change behind the curtain." Alexandria let go of his hand and went towards the curtain, pushing it to the side before looking back at him. "If you want to, you can change in the main area." She gave him a soft smile before disappearing behind the curtain. Reaching back, she unclasped the choker and took it off, putting it in her jewelry box on the table near her. "If you want, I can sleep on the couch so you can have the bed." After taking off the rest of her jewelry, she put it away and got out a navy blue nightgown. "Or we could share the bed again?" This was going to be another awkward night if she didn't watch herself and that was the last thing she wanted to do. She slipped out of her evening dress and put it away before throwing on her silk gown. "Whichever you prefer, darling." Stepping out from behind the curtain, she stepped towards the bed and pulled the quilt back before sitting down on the edge.

SLEEP THIGH

His ruby eyes watched her vanish behind the curtain and as soon as they weren't seeing each other, Gilbert started to undress himself. He took his coat off and started to undo the tie around his neck. "I guess we could share the bed again." he pointed out in reply the her inquire and then soon added "After all, I doubt that we'll have separated bedrooms in the hotel or in the ship. Not to mention that once we get back home we'll be expected to share the same bed so... guess we better start getting used to so." he undid his pants and folded all his clothes before picking his nightgown, he slipped into it and slowly walked to the curtain, he carefully opened it to find Alexandria sitting on the bed. "Which side do you prefer to sleep on? Left or right?" he asked her as he stepped into the bed area and closed the curtains behind him so they would have privacy in case a crew member of the train walk in their chambers in the morning to leave the breakfast tray.

As soon as they positioned themselves in the bed, Gilbert covered himself with the sheets and took in a deep breath. He could feel her closeness against his body and this time it felt less awkward than the first time they shared a bed. He took a look at her as his hands idly patted down on the comforter. He took a breath through his nose and then let out in a small voice "Well... good night..." he wasn't really that sleepy but he knew that they were going to have a full day as soon as the morning comes.

"Ah, it does not matter." Alexandria smiled as she ran her brush through her hair, carefully trying to get rid of the tangles in her long chocolate colored locks. "I can sleep on either side." Setting her brush down, she blew the candle out next to her and pulled the covers down before carefully settling down next to her husband. Her eyes settled on the man next to her and chuckled quietly. "Please, do not be so stiff and uncomfortable looking. It is not as if I will hurt you or anything." Reaching forward, she gently ran her fingers down his arm and settled on his hand, squeezing it softly. "Get some sleep, darling. We have a long day tomorrow." Alexandria closed her eyes and was soon fast asleep, still holding onto his hand.

Morning came quickly and Alexandria was hiding within the comforters, not wanting to get up yet. The few glasses of wine she had last night had gotten to her and now she had a horrible headache. "Darling, will you get me some water so that maybe my head will stop pounding?"
