I'm confused. In a fanfiction? which fanfiction? Or is this your OC from a RP? Nothing wrong with that, though I might wait until after the RP ends, just in case something changes, -but then again, it really doesn't need to be in the same universe. Move the character to another, if it helps with the creative process. That is, assuming this Series is a series of some form of media (written, drawn, animated, acted) and not another RP.

Write what you feel like writing and pay no attention to the prejudices or negative opinions of others. As a fan fic writer, I soon came across people who had negative opinions on what people should and shouldn't write but what other people think doesn't matter. Just write and enjoy it.
