Tuesday is fine by me.
....Magic is a thing? Bloody hell, why did you not tell me before?! D:I forgot to tell you about magic! Drat. Well, Here it is: in this setting magic is seen as a science, by and large, and magicians are often under the employ of rulers of nations to give their armies magical capabilities. It is generally separated into three schools of thought: Battlemagery, which is weaponised and active, Enchanting, which has to do with objects, and Elementalism, the least used of the three, which has to do with primitive non-corporeal elements (water, fire, etc.) Magic often has a lot of academia attached to it and is actually quite common in the more powerful world empires.
The only constant I can think of now is this: The more effective the spell, the more exhausted the caster becomes. Magic is a physical and mental strain on the body, so much so that too much at once can cause a coma or death. Previous mages, such as the god-like Orblee the Trickster (most powerful magician to ever live), have made artifacts to allow the use of magic without this toll, but the price paid in sanity was crippling.
Well. I was at start thinking on doing a diplomat, but I thought against it later on since I doubted that a full-blown diplomat would be too useful. Magic could have made a full-blown diplomat more, how should I put it, self-sustainable and useful in combat.Oh, what was I thinking? *facepalms*
Enki, if you want to retool your character to be more magically natured, I'll make an exception and wait one more day for you to do that. Man, I'm sorry I forgot to put that in the OP.
Take all the time you need. If you need to postpone this RP then feel free to do so. Finals are more important than writing text to people that you can't use in your portfolio.Hey guys, I'm so sorry for the delay in the thread. Truth is, I was dumb in not considering that I would be pretty tied up by College finals this week. I will work on the OP asap this week, but I might be a bit on it.
Count me in!Hey Guys, I'm back. Took me a bit longer then expected, then the holidays happened.
All things considered, I'm not sure who is still interested in this idea. I'd still like to run it, if any of you are still keen. I'd understand if many of you have moved on to other things, though.
