Chronicles of The Omniverse Archived Langara

There was a lot of movement around them all of a sudden, and Valled wasn't even sure what to do. They shouldn't be here, not like this!.

"What kind of name is The Agony and Ecstasy?, No numbers?" Muttered Benna under their breath after their ship computer was given the order to translate and read out loud.

"Sweet Sacred Mouth... Start sinking our ship slowly, I don't want them trying to land on us or something." Said Valled, their mind racing through every possibility. None of them were good, it was time to choose the lesser evil.

"Start typing and get the ship to translate." Said Valled. In the meantime, Essek was back from the ship's medbay. They walked up to Valled and hugged their captain from behind. Nobody batted an eye at the show of affection and reassurance, especially since their captain's voice was shaky enough already.

"This is Valled, captain of the Deitena. We mean you no harm, and arrived by mistake after an almost fatal accident. All we want is to fix our ship, restock out supplies and be on our way. You have our most sincere apology."

The massive carrier continued it's descent, even as Commander Soban was listening to their response, while EVE was providing advise, given to her by dozens of points of input, from the helicopters, and the people on the ground.

"Update: After further scans, it has been determined that the alien vessel is not a threat, and appears to be in distress. Recommended course of action; if we assist the alien vessel, it would provide an opportunity to learn about the technology and culture from these aliens, perhaps more so than seizing the vessel, and capturing the crew." The AI Suggested, and a second voice, this one from Admiral Nagala happened to concur.

"Agony and Ecstasy, this is Psalm Every Day Actual, Updated orders, I'm going to go with EVE's recommendation on this, render assistance to the Xenos ship, and ensure they do not pose a threat to the surrounding city, gather as much intel as you can in the process."

Commander Soban nodded, and after a long period of chatter to, and from the Imperial warships in low orbit, and in atmosphere, the message replied to the Deitena, in the same bitstream code that the original message came from.

"Captain Valled, this is Commander Soban of the Agony and the Ecstasy, our superiors have heeded your plea, and will render mercy upon you, we will be arriving shortly to assist in whatever repairs you require-- standby." The message was also broadcast with a voiceover, so they could hear Commander Soban's voice, and the strange language she spoke in it's raw form.

After a moment, the helicopters that had began to swarm around the ship slowly began to back away, and disperse, some of them taking flight plans that took them further away from the ship, while others took them back into the city. It was at that moment a deafening, and shrill roar filled the skies above them, and the long shadow of a Reverence Class Planetary Assault Carrier was cast over the lone ship, the vessel above them was nothing short of massive, as far as the eye could see, and clearly designed for war. The ship's gravitic engines forced the Langaran water to churn violently, but eventually calm down as the vessel settled into it's final position, roughly half a kilometer up into the sky above the partially submerged ship.

Commander Soban frowned, before she transmitted a video message this time, figuring EVE would eventually assimilate the language, and translate for her.

Clea Soban was an imposing woman, with sharp blue eyes, and blonde hair tied up in a tight bun, and she seemed to loom over the video feed like a specter, a menacing spirit of vengeance, and evil.

"What assistance do you require?" She asked, in her voice while EVE transmitted her words in the same universal language as before.

"So that's a no to being obliterated completely?" Said Essek under their breath, Valled only bothering to answer with a soft hum.
Around them, the juniors celebrated the good news, and Benna continued to monitor their surroundings.

"Apparently, but they are still coming over." Said Benna, watching the surroundings of the ship. The helixed, flying monstrosities were retreating, thank Opheelia. The respect their crew held had paid off a few times already. Still, that didn't prepare them for the waves that shook their small scouting ship once the behemoth of a carrier arrived. It was just above them, and its size was... Terrifying. It wasn't that they had never seen a ship that big, but when it could descend upon you and crush you any second, things changed.

"Don't stop praying yet, we aren't even close to out of danger" Said Valled, doing their best to stop their voice from going out completely. Essek, whose arms were still around their partner, tightener their embrace. What would such a ship be like inside?, They wondered.

"Let's not get slim-Oh!" Now they had a video feed to one of these strange people. Probably the one who had been contacting them, Sobban.

What Soban saw in return was a group of blue skinned aliens with four eyes and fins, peering curiously at the screen. They hadn't answered her yet, and the one positioned in the middle had a second alien hugging them from behind. Their screen was much wider, showing a view of their entire bridge. They all seemed speechless at the sight of her. It took a few seconds, but at least one of them seemed to regain their composure.

"Our ship's systems are made to slowly but throughout gather resources from our environment without damaging local ecosystems and artificial structures. It's a slow process, and all we need is time. We would have to investigate to find medical resources for our wounded, though." Said Valled. However, Essek didn't loose a second, their curious nature slipping through any façade.

"Why are you pink??, And what is that yellow stuff on your head?, Are you planning to kill us?, Please don't!!" No one tried to stop them, but everyone on the bridge visibly became still as a statue.

It was almost an instant when the blue skinned aliens appeared on Soban's holographic feed that she almost recoiled in disgust, along with several crew personnel stationed behind her, each of them turning to look away, the disgust evident on their screens. But they quickly regained their composure, some stopping to straighten their uniforms, while Soban herself paused for just a moment to pick up a mug of hot tea, and take a sip from it.

She swallowed the tea hard, steam wafting up from the mug as she moved to place the mug of hot tea back on the console, flicking her hands across a holographic display, bringing the finely attuned sensors to scan the scout ship below. The View behind Soban was that of an open space, aside from the bridge personnel manning their stations behind her, a well dressed young man in a stark, imposing black and red uniform stood silently behind the Admiral, and a second woman, whom had approached, and craned her neck over Soban's shoulder to stare at the console.

The unusual woman had somewhat softer features, loosely hanging blonde hair, and an almost iridescent sheen to her sharp blue eyes. Her attire was different from the others, a black formal pantsuit, with a simple white blouse worn under a black close fitting blazer.

"Mantrid and the Bio Scholars would be... Eager to get their hands on these Xenos." The woman remarked, before she clapped her hand on Soban's shoulder.

"Myself, and the Confessors expect a full report." She added, before turning to leave, the heavy footfalls of her stiletto heels echoing through the entirety of the Reverences CIC.

"I will dispatch a team to your vessel, they will assist your wounded, and prepare for them to be transferred aboard this vessel. Standby to receive boarders." Soban remarked, abruptly terminating the transmission. It seemed, either the comment from Essek fell on deaf ears, or perhaps, the woman was offended but didn't show it. Either way, the next few moments would prove to be interesting for the Commander.
