Six-Year-old Girl Bullied and Expelled from School​

The expulsion of six-year-old Sophia Richard from Marveilleux Middle School has raised a great deal of controversy as the girl was reputed to have been being bullied during recess before shapeshifting into a wolf and hiding under the playground equipment.

Her mother, Vanessa Richard, has been unwilling to make any statements on the matter, but the Principle, Gregory Moreau has quoted the following reason for the girls expulsion:

“Sophia Richard was expelled on the grounds that she posed a clear and present danger to other children in the form of a serious and potentially deadly contagious disease.”

The incident has brought supporters from both end of the spectrum out in fervor as news of the expulsion hit the news. The parents of the children involved in the incident seem unanimous in their support of the decision though. One mother was quoted as saying, “Children get into fights, it happens. I don’t want to be fearing that every time my son goes to school he might get bitten by a werewolf over a playground scuffle.” The mother in question offered no response to inquiries into her son bullying the girl prior to the incident.

Woman Discovered Caged in Basement of Local Bar​

While reporters gathered at the scene of an alleged unrelated murder outside of a local bar by the name of 'The Den', police were seen escorting the owner of the establishment from the scene in handcuffs only minutes before an ambulance arrived to remove an injured woman from the premise.

Police were hesitant to offer many details, but verified to reporters on scene that the woman had been discovered caged in the basement of the building and was in critical condition, and that there was was no evidence currently to suggest that the woman was linked to the murder they had been investigating at the time of the discovery.

The owner of the establishment has since been identified by local news reporters as James 'Baron' Guiscard, a known werewolf and convicted felon.

LUMIENA SQUARE MURDERS: TWO PROSELYTES DEAD, ONE INJURED​

A gruesome scene greeted police last night after being called to the scene of a disturbance in Lumiena Square. A trio of monastic order proselytes were attacked by an unknown male assailant just outside a small antique jewellery boutique late yesterday evening, in what eyewitnesses describe as a ‘horrific’ and ‘monstrous’ display in which two of the proselytes were killed and one injured. The proselytes killed have been identified as Miranda Dupont and Isabelle Pascale. Reports indicate that the perpetrator killed the girls with his bare hands, and the LPD have issued a statement confirming supernatural involvement.

The Monastic Order have since taken over the investigation, and in a statement have said that whilst they are unable to confirm the specific nature of the individual, eyewitness accounts of the attack and forensic evidence suggest he possessed a level of strength comparable to that of a werewolf. Due to a lack of forensic evidence this cannot be confirmed, and alternatives include an individual enhanced with magic or alchemical experimentation, or the involvement of the demonic. The investigation is ongoing. The killer’s humanoid form has been described as unnaturally tall, dark-haired and dressed in white, and the public are advised to avoid him at all costs, and to report any sightings directly to the Monastic Order.

The surviving proselyte, Eric Monet, has since been admitted to Saint Albeland’s Hospital and his condition is reportedly stable.

NUVELLON ESTATE MASSACRE
Ten Killed and Horses Slaughtered in Horrific Supernatural Attack​

Tragedy struck the home of one of Lutetia’s oldest families today, as the Nuvellon Estate just outside of the city limits was struck by an unprovoked and barbaric attack which left many of the staff and family dead. At just past noon this afternoon, an unknown individual entered the grounds of the Estate, reportedly making inquiries into purchasing a horse from the estate’s stables.

According to the accounts given by the survivors, at some point while entertaining this guest (described as a tall man with dark hair, clad in an exquisite black suit), one of the victims - Legate Lothaire Nuvellon of the Lord’s Assembly - identified that something was amiss and attempted to organise an evacuation of the serving staff. During this attempted evacuation, the killer became aware of the attempts being made to deceive him, and intercepted one of the fleeing vehicles.

Although the details of what transpired beyond this point are unknown, the Monastic Order has released a statement confirming that none of those who remained on the estate grounds survived. The dead include the esteemed Legate Lothaire Nuvellon, his wife Lucille and his mother Agathe, along with housekeeper Georgina Fontaine, butler Frederic Sauvage, stablemaster Edgar Forestier and stablehands Peter Everett, Harry Bernard, Edouard Moreau and Vincent Blanc. Further, the killer reportedly slaughtered not only the human residents and staff, but also every horse in the stables, as well as setting the estate itself on fire in acts of wanton destruction.

In their statement, the Monastic Order’s representative described the act as ‘depraved’ and ‘horrifying’, but when asked if this incident was linked to the similarly described killer behind the proselyte murders in Lumiena Square last week, refused to speculate. A later statement has since revealed that the order was strongly considering the possibility, and that additional evidence uncovered on the estate lent credence to the theory that the perpetrator is a rogue werewolf but that as before, the investigation was ongoing.

The Nuvellon family have strong links to the Church, including a history of serving as paladins in the ranks of the Monastic Order. Lothaire and Lucille are survived by their two sons - Sir Aurelion Nuvellon, and Proselyte Inarin Nuvellon, each part of the Monastic Order themselves - and Lothaire's sister, Florianne Nuvellon - owner of the Golden Thread boutique in Saint Lemeux. None were available for comment.

THREE KILLED IN CHILD PRODIGY KIDNAPPING​

In the latest in a series of grizzly and unexplained mass murders, three security staff have been found dead on the grounds of Academie Delacroix, Lutetia City’s most prestigious and vaunted private educational institute, and blind musical prodigy Nathan Hart has been declared missing along with his personal aide, Claire Royer. Police responded to a silent call made from Miss Royer’s phone only to find both her and her charge disappeared, as well as the mutilated corpses of security guards Alan Chapelle, Laura Belrose, and Bernard Dupont.

Nathan Hart has been a local celebrity in Lutetia City since his debut performance at Saint Lemeux Concert Hall last year. The blind piano prodigy captured the hearts of the city’s citizens with both his music and his determination to overcome adversity. Both blind and born with a severe heart defect that left him weak and in need of constant medication, his was a story of embracing life despite struggle, and making something beautiful despite the hindrance of circumstances out of his control.

His disappearance has prompted an outcry of heartbreak from his fans, and demands for action from the police that thus far seems to have produced no result. The LPD report that they have received no demands from the kidnapper, and are attempting to follow up on several leads as to his whereabouts. A spokesman reassured the public in a statement that “the LPD will do anything and everything within its power to ensure the safe return of Nathan and Claire, and [they] have enlisted the assistance of the Monastic Order in doing so”.

In an emotional statement earlier today, Nathan’s parents, Benedict and Maria Hart, made a plea to the kidnapper to return their son, stating a willingness to meet whatever demands they may make for his release. Thus far, there has been no sign of any attempt at ransoming the young celebrity, calling into question what other nefarious purpose this kidnapper might have for their actions.

In an interview with Marcus Lambert, the security guard who first found Dupont’s body, he described his colleague as having been ‘rent asunder’, and insisted that the killer must have been supernatural in nature, as the security cameras in the hallways between the back entrance and the music room from which Nathan and Claire were abducted were failing, which was what prompted Dupont to leave the security office and investigate. The LPD have refused to confirm or deny this information’s validity.

Academie Delacroix has issued a statement declaring that the school will be closing while arrangements are made to drastically increase security measures, to assuage the concerns of parents and students in the wake of this tragedy.

Shoot-out at the Rollin’ Bones Casino​

As the sun rose this morning, one can only ask one question. What is going on in our city? The explosion of violence and mayhem continues unrestrained as a massive shoot-out broke out at the Rollin’ Bones Casino just last night.

Mutilated vehicles and bodies littered the parking lot.

The police have yet to reveal the identify of any of the victims as of yet, but it doesn’t take a stretch of the imagination to presume the shooting another page in the growing saga of werewolf violence. No human has the strength or means to leave a women rend into pieces, or to crumple a car as if it were nothing more than a tin can.

The owner of the establishment itself proves none other than Rowan Alastar, a local business man and werewolf with a long history of police investigations.

The violence didn’t stop at the casino either, and shootings, vandalism, looting, and fires were reported throughout Lupaix and Cascastel - known pack territory. Cascastel’s long history of enduring the ramifications of inter-city pack violence raises the question that is no doubt on everyone’s mind. Have the pack rivalries broken out into war once again?

And if so, what will be the cost for those caught in the crossfire.

MAD WEREWOLF'S RAMPAGE LEAVES TWO DEAD AND OWN SON INJURED AT FESTIVAL​

Festivities came to an abrupt end this afternoon in Valentine Park, after a rampaging werewolf took the lives of two festival-goers in a few bloody moments. The werewolf - now identified as James O’Suaird, a GP at the Centrale Surgery in Merveilleux - transformed in the midst of a crowd and immediately lashed out at those nearby, claiming the lives of mother-of-three Anna Gautier and her partner Mathieu Lemaire.

According to eyewitness accounts, only the timely intervention of the unlikely duo of a necromancer and a proselyte prevented the rampage from continuing further before paladins could respond to the scene. The necromancer in question was none other than Valére Castellane, one of the two young heirs of Castellane International, whilst the proselyte was young Inarin Nuvellon, whose family was the victim of a tragic massacre earlier this month.

O’Suaird’s son was also present at the scene. A proselyte himself, and human, Jimmy O’Suaird was badly injured by his father during his rampage, and at the time of writing remains in intensive care, although his condition is stable.

The werewolf’s rampage was put to an end when the Monastic Order’s paladins arrived on the scene and were forced to shoot him dead, as he was unable to respond to requests to stand down.

In a brief interview, when asked about his actions during the event, Valére played down his role in O’Suaird’s neutralisation, saying: “I just acted to protect a friend, without really thinking about it. I’m sure most people would have done the same, if they could. I deeply regret what happened to Mr. O’Suaird and I wish there could have been another way.”

When asked to clarify, he went on to add: “The paladins just cut him down in front of his son. If nothing else, they could have spared Jimmy that. It was heartless.”

In their own statement, the Monastic Order expressed regret over the circumstances but insisted that the acting paladin had no alternative, and acted to ensure the safety of the public. Proselytes O’Suaird and Nuvellon were unavailable for comment, and the Monastery spokesperson was unable to confirm whether Proselyte O’Suaird’s injuries posed the threat of infection with lycanthropy.

MONSTERS AMONG US - LEGAL LYCANS WERE A MISTAKE​

With dozens dead in the latest werewolf massacre, Jean LeChapelle asks: where will it stop?

Werewolves. Since beyond living memory, lycanthropy has been a plague upon Lutetia. Packs exert a gang-like control over entire swathes of the city, normalising the drugs, weapons and sex trade without remorse or morality. Entire neighbourhoods live in fear of the local pack’s displeasure, and even the Garde fear to walk the streets at night. How, you ask, has it come to this? Since when should humanity have to cower in their homes, whilst monsters roam the streets with impunity?

When the state legalised lycanthropy, werewolves had the opportunity to live in peace, and they rejected it. They chose to flock to gangs and to crime, to turn their brutal and inhuman strength on their neighbours even as we showed them the kindness they had been pleading for. They have PROVEN that they will not live alongside us.

In the last month, pack violence has skyrocketed. Massacres at the Rollin’ Bones Casino, in Lumiena Square, at the Aurellae, at the Nuvellon Estate and at St. Caron’s Church in Luskonios are only the warning shots of what is inevitably coming. We gave the werewolves too much, and now they’re going to take it all, unless WE TAKE ACTION.

The police and the church have proven themselves USELESS in our defence. They can’t even protect their own, so how can we expect them to protect us? The answer: WE CAN’T. We, the people, need to take matters into our own hands. Now is not the time for protest and petition. Do you think the werewolves will sit idly while we wait for due process? NO. They have declared war on our way of life, and we will not let that go unanswered.

We must TAKE BACK OUR CITY. Grab your guns, lock your doors and be ready. Don’t be fooled by their lies. All werewolves would sooner murder a human than allow one of their own to be taken, even those that claim innocence. They FORFEITED their innocence the moment they became MONSTERS.

A WEREWOLF CANNOT BE SAFE. They are stronger than us, faster than us, tougher than us. Imagine your neighbour spent all their time in body armour and carrying a knife. WOULD YOU FEEL SAFE? NO. If your neighbour is a werewolf, they’re ALWAYS ARMED. Every werewolf is a murder waiting to happen.

The government MUST re-criminalise lycanthropy. WE CANNOT COEXIST. We can no longer allow them to build strength and numbers in impunity, or it will be TOO LATE to stop them. How many more massacres will it take for our leaders to WAKE UP?

DEMAND ACTION. DEMAND AN END TO LEGAL LYCANTHROPY.
