Appearance:
Marcus is 6'2, and of a carefully trained physique he considers royal, that slim, but fit, well chiseled appearance that Marcus considers the birthright of his royal descendancy. His light-blue eyes and blond hair part of his ancient heritage. His clothing varies from day to day typically, his suits are tailored for him and despite their rich appearance they are loose and do not inhibit his movements, and when required can even be worn over a ballistic vest.

History:
Marcus was born in Rome, amongst the Knights Hospitaller his parents both being descended from Roman Emperors. Raised and cared for by them he was fed the stories of his royal blood since childhood and lived in quiet, and hidden, wealth for the descendants of Nero were not a popular bloodline.
In 1766 Marcus became close friends with a dilettante from England, a seemingly beautiful young woman who had nothing but ears for anything the young man had to say, possessed of a strange grace, and stranger fey moods when they indulged too deeply in the snuff-box he was to learn, later in that year that she was a Vampire of the Kindred and was entranced by her promises of immortality, unlimited power and everlasting love.
Seduced by the promises of power and immortality he chose to go with her to England and was embraced by her. He spent a good thirty years learning from his Sire and coming to grips with his own Derangements that came ever more strongly upon him since the Embrace. Finally he got bored with his Sire who seemed after so long to simply seek pleasures of the now, having no true ambitions of her own, and despite her promises of love that was a currency he had no interest in bargaining with. Instead seeking his own path.
Finally Alexander DeManoir managed to secure his loyalty with the post of Sheriff. A position that Marcus retains to this day, and protects viciously.

Notes:
Marcus is perhaps an unusual example of a Sheriff, though he is loud, self-absorbed and compulsive, his management of the situation his style is less heavy-handed than someone might expect, or so it seems. Though his hounds may deliver the expected bloody-handed justice. His own methods trend towards the subtle. Using his Disciplines to deliver justice as a ghost behind the lines.
