The Demoness followed Fuctner at the clasp of a second. Rolling her dress a bit up, she exposed the insignia of her clan. Then those bunch of foolish guards let her pass.

Actually, she wasn’t fond to argue with anyone before the meeting. She guessed she got carried away, though.
Violet eyes flicked to the various appearances. Ruri, the Second-In-Command for Ravinca, was aside from his leader already attending.
Airen fixed a strain of curl out of her forehead before she smoothly sat on the Chair that was reserved for her Leaderling.

“Fuctner,” she addressed her friend with a hint of smile, “do you still smoke? If so, mind giving me one for later on?”

Her own cigarettes were all thrown away. Even though she was old enough to decide whether to destroy her lungs or not, she let Yew and Glumisun forbid her to carry on smoking.
Airen hadn’t planned to stay too long after the meeting. As soon as they were to be dismissed, she would shift into her beloved form and get to her favorite Casino in the Neutral Zone. Playing to get her mind back to its standards, drinking to diminish the stress and remind herself who she was. Perhaps it wouldn’t have come this far if she would have finished the Game from this early morning.

With her professional poker-face, made out of the sweetest and yet horrifying grin, she crossed her legs and waited.

Shula frowned as she watched Avaddon enter the room.

"There is no Madame De'Angulis, Shula...Yew and these three tend to be like this. This is nothing new, also do not feel as though you must remain quiet. You are free to speak your mind. Even if you are a personal guard, your opinion as all others is important to me." Avaddon’s words played in Shula’s mind. He was really too kind for his own good. No one would respect his authority if he let everyone speak, trusted, or not. Though, she hoped he did not notice how she shied from his touch a bit. It was a habit from the training center. She had to shy away from people so she would not burn them and have to wear clothes, at least that was what she was told. She always did it, even when she wore clothes and the habit stayed. Touch, even the tap on the chin from Arakiel, made her fire snap and tense. But they were just trying to be nice. It was okay.

And apparently so was her being topless. No one commented on it or seemed to be distracted by it. Though no one seemed to be looking at her, distracted by Arakiel and the other leaders. Shula considered taking off her bra. Though, it was probably best not to push her luck. She stepped towards the guards and showed them her back, making sure her long hair did not cover her brand.

“You are free to go, burnie.” One of the guards, the male, stated. Shula bristled at the name. She faced the guard.

“For future reference, do not use that name, blackie.” Shula snapped and crossed her arms. The guard’s white eyes widened as his mouth curled downward. Her kind were rare (considering how they were born) after the peace treaty, then when it was broken a rise occurred. She was just making sure the cocky guard didn’t lose his tongue. The female guard touched the male guard. His demeanor relaxed some.

“Duly noted, ash-maker.” The female guard’s mouth flickered before settling in a line. The male guard did nothing to hide his triumphant smirk. Shula felt her eyebrow twitch as her inner fire roared. She knew her eyes were glowing and her face was red, but she did not want to give them any other ammunition. They all stood glaring at each other for a moment before they made room for Shula to go through. She walked past them and into the room. She made sure they could feel her heat.

Her fire hated that name. It was like a challenge to turn that person into ash, an instigation to prove that she was an uncontrollable monster. That she was as wild and untamable as fire, as a feral. Many of the course teachers whispered about the unpredictable and uncontrollable fire child. It almost pleased some (disgusted others) that she was weak. Well, she certainly proved all of them wrong. And she would continue to do so.

In the room, there was a long table with four chairs holding the clans’ markings and chairs for the seconds around the table. Most of the chairs were full, despite Ravinca’s main chair and Bloody Moon’s second (since Lady Fuctner was in the main chair). Arakiel stood up near the projector, getting her notes together.

Shula quickly found the Black Rose chair with Avaddon in it. His eyes were closed as his horned head leaned on his hands. Shula rolled her eyes as she approached the chair but her fire calmed some and cooled a bit. Her eyes still felt like they were burning a glow. She put her things on the floor and stood behind the chair. She fixed her hair to be behind her bare shoulders before placing her hands behind her back and standing up straight. She hated how the sign was eye level with her. So, she looked to Avaddon. She knew he would not be sleeping, but she did wonder. She leaned closer to his ear to whisper, her long hair falling between them slightly.

“Are you alright sir?” She just had to be sure.

She growled slightly as the mutt followed after her. Why couldn't she get the memo that she was dangerous? Let alone if she was seen with her then the humans would be after her skin too. She growled as she pushed through all the under brush getting a couple scratches that soon healed right up. She rolled her eyes at the mutt's comment. "I'll clean my clothes when I clean my clothes. Stop bothering me!" Her irritation levels were steadily rising. She needed to travel faster otherwise the humans were going to be on her trail quite soon.

She looked up at all the trees. An idea then pops into her head. She climbs a tree and begins jumping from branch to branch. This way if they bring the dogs it'll be much harder for them to follow. She smiled in satisfaction. Maybe I'll lose the mutt too. She thought.

“Do you still smoke? If so, mind giving me one for later on?”

Dyle chuckled, and handed her the box of cigarette's. "Here dear," she said with a smile. "You'll be needing these more than me." She meant that, truly. Not only was Airen standing in place for her leader for the day, but she had to deal with her brother all the while. Plus she was was short, and that was just about the worst part.
Dyle sat back with her own cigarrete lit, and between her lips. Oh if her dad could see her, he'd be pissed! Well- not pissed, but really sad or concerned. She'd have to make it up to him when he came by.

"So how's everyone doing this morning," she asked after blowing a puff of smoke.
"Sure, it's early, but there's a saying early birds, and whatnot. And it looks like we are some lucky, lucky birds!"

Vokrec Thoridge entered the meeting room, a stern expression on his face. “Sorry I’m late. Had some business to attend to before I could get here.” He took his seat. “You know, proper scheduling would actually really help these things get started promptly. I have a territory to run, so can we please just get on with this?” He turned to his second, “what did I miss?”

She gladly whirled her fingers around the pack of cigarettes. A glance to the brand, and she was more than satisfied. “Ah, Fuctner you always had the best of the bests,” chummed the Demoness amused.
Perhaps it was the weirdest picture ever: Airen O’Bechtel and a cigarette between her lips. Weirder it couldn’t have been.

With ease she ignited the piece of calmness in her hand with the lighter she always carried around. To use her magic here seemed like a simple waste. Airen stuffed the pack somewhere underneath her dress, and the cigarette between her lips to take her first drag after three months.

"So how's everyone doing this morning?”

She glanced over to her friend, at her sudden start of a nicer conversation than before. Though, this hint of kindness had the Siren caught off guard.
“Oh, better it couldn’t be,” chuckled Airen and guessed that her brother noted the change in her own smoke.
Closing her eyes, the female took another, longer drag. May it burnt her lungs, she wouldn’t care.

As another being entered, she almost hadn’t needed to turn around. Yet, Airen twitched on her seat— just to confirm her suggestion. Ravinca’s Leader had made his approach, then. The first thing, of course, was to ask his Second for anything he could have possibly missed.

“Greetings Sir Vokrec,” hummed the Siren before she took another drag of her cigarette. Her lips curled to a grin before violet eyes flicked to her brother and narrowed at him.
Oh yes, she knew those eyes. And the look. And his glare.
“Don’t you even dare,” she mouthed silently at him.

With the last of the participants coming in late as usual, Yew nodded to the orange-haired leader. With Hairy Carrot Top being the most blunt of how Ice Prick called upon them, Yew just shrugged and stood dutifully behind the chair. Well, that was until he noticed Madame Shula without anything except for her upper underwear on and that his dear, dear sibling just placed a stick into her dirty mouth. He also watched how Dyle puffed out smoke.

Heat could be felt from where he was. Turning to the source, he tilted his head. He has actually yet to research on this new guard but he deduced [from the way the guards outside talked to her] she was of manipulating temperatures. He has also noticed how close the new guard was to Avaddon and could not help but cover half of his face to hide the manic smile. His eyes were still closed then and he was sure nobody is looking at his direction. In his eyes, a half naked lady leaning in like that and whispering something to the leader was already considered flirting. Ooh, such bold move.

Ah, concentration on the new guard later. For now, he needs something to stop both Fuctner and Airen from created a smoke thick enough to create a wall inside the meeting room.

Moving silently towards the entrance, he requested [more like demanded] for a spray bottle filled with water. "I don't care where you get the water. Just dunk the bottle in the toilet for all I care," he stated before thee male guard scrambled to get what was needed. Closing the door and staying there until the material was handed to him, he turned to the person who gathered them here. "Well, sir. Do we have to create a program before you start with your great speech? Do we need a prayer of some sorts and to sing an anthem of loyalty? Welcome greetings, maybe?" he asked curiously. Yep, usual meeting for the leaders and the representatives. Insult each other while the topic is actually being discussed and given some solution.

Keeping silent the entire time as he sat in his large seat with his elbows still resting upon the table and his eyes remaining shut; although he did not show any signs of focus on his exterior appearance, he was well aware of every movement that was going on around the room as well as anything that felt odd about the surrounding area just outside the room.
Even once his guard had stepped up beside him and leaned by his hear to whisper her question of whether he was alright or not, Avaddon would only nod his head once in response. "I'm alright. Just...thinking." His words were low to the same level of a whisper as she had spoke to him.

The first to speak up in the room was none other than the second in command of Bloody Moon questioning how everyone was as well as about some kind of old saying about a bird and being early. Avaddon had decided to ignore the question while he kept to his thoughts as to how the murders could've happened as well as the different possibilities of how feral demons could've escaped the barrier over at the Quarantine Zone.
Finally, as yet another leader entered the room; Avaddon reopened his eyes only to find that it was Vokrec of Ravinca as he brought up the topic of scheduling the meetings rather than have them happen so suddenly as this one did.

"Apologies Vokrec...with the situation, I could not postpone the meeting to another day any further."

After voicing his comment, Avaddon returned to his silence for another few minutes to see if Kasdeya would make an appearance or not before starting the meeting.

Just as there seemed to had been no arrival of the Bloody Moon leader, Avaddon shook his head just to clear his throat as Yew voiced his own opinion on how long it had been taking for the meeting to actually begin; just as with Dyle, Avaddon ignored the Serpent's Kiss officer.
"Thank you all for coming on such short notice...I'm sure you're all wondering why I've called this meeting so suddenly. Well...to get straight to the point. I'm not sure if you have all been paying close attention or not but rise in numbers of ferals is starting to become quite the issue. I don't know how, but they're starting to escape the Quarantine Zone. I have my best engineers checking on the barrier around that area right now...but whatever is causing their numbers to increase is also making them much more violent. There have already been multiple cases of murders that have been spreading throughout the Neutral Zone as well as some occurring in my own territory...from what the investigators have seen and studied, none of the deaths have been clean nor have they been humane. While it is understandable for possible killers to be on the loose, this many going on..and in such short periods of time as well as so many happening at the sametime on same days...something isn't right."

"Thank you," the summoner chirped quietly to the guards outside before fully closing the door. Now that he was armed with a weapon, he shook the bottle a few times before turning back to the others. "Since we are dealing with something we cannot see or cannot be traced, is it not better to wipe the entire zone? The people there are already too far gone to be rescued. They already know that at one point they will be eliminated," he stated, walking slowly towards his sister. All the participants here already know of his morals, or lack of it. It should not have been a surprise for them that his first suggestion was to commit mass murder.

Pointing the nozzle at the female, Yew's eyes sparkled in sadistic mirth but his expression stayed passive. "Physical barriers are well and good for humans and the less sane, yes, but we are dealing with people stronger than them. They could destroy the concrete walls your engineers would have set up." With a few twitches from his finger, Airen's face was covered in water, also successfully extinguishing the glow of the cigarette. Yew has already jumped back in case his older sibling decided to act out of instinct and rip his throat off.

"The clan would volunteer in backing up whatever you will be doing, sir De'Angulis," he announced, eyes still trained to the the female with the same features as him. By this time, if not for their leader's fever, Glumisun would already have set up a team to be dispatched in helping the engineers. "Specifically in creating magical barriers to strengthen your already existing ones. The investigations, sadly... We could not help in that part. Are there platoons inside the Quarantine that should be known? We might seal them off for dead."

Moving around the table again, he stood next to Fuctner and aimed the nozzle at the female.

"I said 'HOW IS YOUR MORNING,"
Dyle spoke as she cupped her hands around her mouth, amplifying her voice. The decoration, and items on the table wobbled at the slight increase of her volume. "It's not like just politely greeted you with a smile or what-not, but sure, let's talk about the rabid demons or what ever."
She sat up in her chair, her hands clasped before her in her most proper sitting position. "I say," she began. "The simplest way to fix this problem, is to eliminate it entirely. Genocide is not a sin, it is a solution." She raised a hand. "I will help any way I can if it means no more morning meetings. And if my help is not desired, I could call up some family folk. Of course, in return of their help, they'd like access to Haven without the issue of perosnal documents, and green cards."

It was then that Yew began walking about the room with a spray bottle in his hand. "Oh fuck," Dyle though as she watched him walk about. Sure, he was making some nice points, but she was more focused on the weapon in his hand. It would've been funny when he had sprayed his sister, if he hadn't turned to her.
She reached for Melvin at her thigh. "I will obliterate this room if I see that fucking finger move," she growled, the bass in her voice causing the table and its items to quiver.

She listened carefully. In her head she laid down her cards, sorted them and weighed them.
The murderers were a huge issue, indeed. But that the numbers increased that fast hadn’t been to her attention.
The Siren felt her brother approaching, and eventually turned to him. In the said moments, he already sprayed her with this goddamned spraybottle of his. Where had he gotten that from?!

“Yew I swear,” she growled and completely ignored manners and whatsoever, “I will kill you, rip your head off and whatever!”
She fixed her curls and cut a glare to the male who pretty much looked like her. “You. are. dead.”

With that said she turned around again and grabbed a tissue she stacked under her skirt. Drying her face, she somehow was glad she hadn’t finished her makeup this morning.
And of course, both of her friends had to state the outwiping of those ferals. It was easy, indeed. But for how long could it stay like this?

At a brief warning of Dyle, Airen knew that he pointed the Bottle now at her. Hissing she said to him, “I wouldn’t do that, my lovely brother.” A tone that had sent most who knew her running. “Or do you actually have a death wish today?”

The Siren cleared her throat as she gazed at Avaddon. Soon she reminded every formalities she ever learned, as she spoke, “Perhaps we can send troops to assist the inspections of the barriers for now. As for the ferals,” she leaned into her seat, “I would rather investigate them. We do not know how this virus works, nor what will happen. Isn’t it wiser to expand our knowledge of the ferals?”

And she would send Yew to those barriers. On one hand, he could live his sadistic side there all he wanted, on the other she would have enough freedom to escape to a Casino.

Her spine continued to twist awkwardly as she forced her body through small openings in the brush. She casually shrugged off the other's comment. The girl must not be consciously aware that demon hunters wasn't the only thing she should worry about. Some of their kind commits torturous acts like cannibalism, such as Sissy herself. Dried or not, demons would be able to smell the liquid on her clothing. But if the female wanted to go through the trouble in the long run, so be it.

Her attention was refocused as the other traveled up a tree and moved swiftly over its branches . "Ooh, fun," she said more to herself and she back a few meters from the plant. With a short running start, she leaped up the bark and onto a decently high limb. She then repeated the motions of the other demon by moving between nature's towers.

After voicing the concerns of what was going on throughout the city with the murders and how it was far too closely related to ferals that caused it, Avaddon watched and listened to the reactions and suggestions of those within the room. To no surprise, the first to speak was Yew as he brought up the idea of practically wiping out the entire Quarantine Zone in an instant to completely remove the dangers of ferals in general. While the idea was an option that the leaders could absolutely do without too much trouble, the aftermath of something like that was most likely going to be chaotic as there have are already multiple cases that there are citizens who have family that were turned feral and while there are some who have given hope upon their lost family members, there are others who still have faith that one day a cure can be found and they can bring their family back; the idea of killing all the ferals at once would no doubt cause mass riots as to how the four clans resorted straight to violence rather than anything else.

Rather than bring this up immediately, he continued to wait and listen even as Yew had made his way around the room just to spray second in command of Serpent's Kiss with a bottle of water before threatening to spray that of the second in command of Bloody Moon right after.

Although that had caused Avaddon to raise a brow as to what reason the officer had done such a thing, his attention was soon brought over to that of the second in command of Bloody Moon who once again questioned about 'how is your morning' which the male only chuckled under his breath at first. "It has been...quiet. I wish it could be better if this meeting were not needed to be called.." This time actually giving a response as his gaze shifted upon the shaking of the belongings on the table only to return his gaze towards the woman as she ended up bringing yet the same suggestion of practically wiping out the threat completely. With a second vote for a complete mass killing of ferals, his chuckle faded to silence as his frown returned before she offered her assistance in any way if not with the assistance of her family with the exception that her family could enter without the need of documentations.

"Hm, with the ongoing murders like this...any and all help will be required. I will approve of your family's entrance without the need of documentations...however, this does not mean that I am approving of the solution of going on a mass killing spree of the ferals." Although his gaze was focused onto that of Dyle, his comment about not approving of killing all the ferals was also directed to anyone in the room that even thought of such an idea, Yew as one of them.

The next to offer their opinion on the matter was the second in command of Serpent's Kiss; Airen.
She had brought up the idea of sending troops to investigate the barrier with the Black Rose engineers there, with the following offering of assistance from Yew bringing up how Serpent's Kiss specialized in magical barriers; it would at least mean the engineers there would be in safer positions rather than the massive thick concrete walls that were currently there protecting them. As Airen also continued with offering the idea of investigating the ferals, Avaddon kept silent just to nod his head to himself as his gaze was directed over towards the projection screen on the wall beside the group. "An investigation would be wise, however without much information at the moment...a recon of the Quarantine Zone is far too dangerous for any team...And no Yew, there are no troops currently positioned within the interior of the Zone at the moment. Some of my best troops are currently on guard duty to make sure the engineers are able to do their work in peace without the intrusion of ferals."

Soon enough, Avaddon had waved his arm over his shoulder towards his own second in command; Arakiel to skip through a few of the slides on the projection device. "Some of these photos were taken inside the Quarantine Zone, as you can see. Some of the ferals are starting to gather amongst one another without ending up immediately attacking...some of them have even been seen using stealth such as the shadows to their advantage at times...this is very abnormal. However." As he waited for the next few slides to go through the Quarantine Zone just to end up stopping at photos that were taken during experimenting upon the ferals, Avaddon had to take his gaze away to return it upon those around him. "None of these experiments or tests are known to the public, at least they should not be...however, it appears from just what we have learned. The ferals do not seem to understand and become much more violent when taken out of the Quarantine Zone. Testing is still going on, although if a solution is not found soon I fear the worse for what may happen in the near future."

Reaching a hand to rub his temple till a redden mark had formed while he pondered on his thoughts, eventually he leaned back in his seat just to cross his arms against his chest. "I will be heading into the Quarantine Zone soon. Sending large number of troops will only leave them vulnerable as well as possibility provoking the ferals to come all out at once from heading for a full scale attack...which is nothing we can handle currently. Small teams that do not have the firepower or strength to battle against this threat will be eaten alive and for all we know, if these ferals get their hands on other weapons who knows what may happen to it," Knowing all too well that Shula let alone Arakiel were probably not going to allow Avaddon to enter the Quarantine Zone alone, he immediately began coming up with someway he could get them to stay and keep the engineers and anyone that came from the Serpent's Kiss clan safe while he did some investigating of his own.

Arakiel looked down at her computer at the grotesque photographs taken of the ferals on the slides as she clicked foward. There were pictures of the Quarantine Zone where swarms of ferals gathered and almost appeared to form separate groups. Even so, most wouldn't have been able to discern the cliques based on how subtly they were produced. Arakiel viewed it from a natural perspective. Similar to how a cluster of cells that worked together formed a tissue, a group of ferals worked together to form a horde. This had a dangerous implication. Should the ferals ever break out of the Quarantine Zone, it would be pure chaos.

One of the photos landed on herself in a lab uniform, glasses, and her hair done in a bun, standing next to Dr. Beelze, as well as one of their lab rats: feral#232, their longevity of the subject through the sometimes brutal experiments they performed on it astounded both herself and Dr. Beelze, and it was through its blood that they were making many breakthroughs with the finding of a cure. However, there were times where she found it staring with deep pools of black knowing that sent a shiver down her spine. As Avaddon told the room that this information was CLASSIFIED, she hoped that the more reckless members of the room would take heed. It would be treasonous not to.

Immediately, Arakiel acknowledged the elusive, faraway glance in the leader's eyes when he was deep in thought; that infamous thousand-yard-stare only meant that he was scheming something, but what? It was one of those looks where Arakiel doubted she would receive a direct answer. The man's distant barrier wasn't always the easiest to crack, and often left a pit in her stomach. Even if Avaddon was the most honest with her, and she was one of his most esteemed companions, there were some things which if she were to attempt to pry, she would only be met with an icy wall of silence.

Arakiel glanced at Shula, and thought this would be a good opportunity to seriously test the girl. If Shula were to look her way, she would be met with a smile. Then, Arakiel would return her eyes to the screen of her computer. And then, he said it, making her heart nearly skip a beat as she chocked on her coffee and spat it up a bit, some droplets landing on her spotless white jacket. Damn it, Avaddon! You owe me a new coat...

He was going on a mission to the heart of the Quarantine Zone. There would be no questioning from his Second in Command in front of the others. Such things were only done in private. Shula and Arakiel did not need to protest. Avaddon knew very well that he would not be left to such a dangerous mission, alone.

"Shula and I will be accompanying Avaddon, of course," Arakiel told the room as she gave him a pointed gaze, blue eyes going into draconic slits; she would not be taking no for an answer.

Lest he wished to die a horrible painful death.

“It isn’t wise for both the second and leader to go.” Vokrec said. It was common sense, and they really should have seen it. The fact that they didn’t irked the more experienced demon. “If something should happen, your Clan will need leadership.” The leader of Ravinca said as he looked up from the table. “I’m sure the rest of us would gladly take over your territory,” He said as he gestured to the other leaders. “But I would feel no satisfaction if it was because of your own stupidity. Black Rose needs a leader.” The idea that the Second wanted to tag along was admirable, but ultimately foolish. “I and the Midnight Legion will accompany Avaddon into the Quarantine Zone. Ruri will assume the responsibilities of being Leader while we are in there, and should something happen to me, he will take up the role in a more permanent position.” He said shooting a sideways glance at his second. “Ruri, will NOT enter the Quarantine Zone.” Vokrec added forcefully. If Ruri wanted to argue, he had better find a better time, lesthe experience Vokrec’s wrath. Vokrec would not tolerate disrespect from his second.

"I will obliterate this room if I see that fucking finger move."

Yew tilted his head but said nothing. The spray bottle was still aimed at the siren. Both stared down at each other, challenging the other on whose finger would twitch first. Yew was in a disadvantage here. He could not dodge Melvin point-blank if he was the first one to give. "The smoke then, Miss Fucker," he stated instead. "I really do not want to smell what you are puffing out."

He ignored his older sibling for a while, concentrated on the black-haired demoness beside him. "Or are there any other suggestions? How are we going to limit the Feral's movement? Even if we are not contaminated by whatever virus they have, it is still not sure that we could infect others and they are the ones to turn into Ferals." He was starting to come up with plans in entering the Quarantine Zone and taking as much parts as he can to create his summons. Experiments on beings who could not even feel anymore pain was boring. He wanted subjects that still have their emotions intact. He wanted to watch those eyes turn blank from hopelessness and not from the infection.

Listening to Hairy Carrot and Ice Dick, he could not help but slip in a manic smile at the mention of taking over Black Rose. The volunteering was all the more chaotic. This was starting to get amusing. If Glumisun was here, she could have just quietly got out and took a head's start in the plans. "So, it would be the Midnight Legion with Sir Vokrec and Sir Avaddon," he mused, already thinking of a way to encourage both leaders to go.
"I will be siding with Ravinca on that."

"The smoke then, Miss Fucker. I really do not want to smell what you are puffing out."

Dyle glared toward the man before her before slipping the cigarrete from her mouth, and snuffing it out against her thumb. "That's Mister Fucker to you," she growled. "If you keep this up, I'll plowing you like a farmer getting his crops ready for the fucking season!" Was that supposed to be a threat? It would seem like a threat to an average demon, but she wasn't dealing with one. She sighed, and returned Melvin to his holster. "Just be careful, alright? I've had enough of rain for today." She turned her attention back to the presentation, when Klondike approved of her illegal immigration tactic.

"I will approve of your family's entrance without the need of documentations...however-"
She had heard all she needed. She was quick to bring out her laptop, and begin selecting which Sirens she'd bring to Haven. They had to be tough. They had to be sexy. They had to be anyone, but her parents. Those shit-shows didn't need her smothering to get into the city. Oh! What about the whole Trench county? There were plenty of Sirens looking to both quell their bloodlust, and find a nice place to live! She could populate Serpent Kiss with the Von Dyle name! Perfect!

"Shula and I will be accompanying Avaddon, of course."
Dyle stopped her typing for a moment. Seriously, how dumb was this woman? It seemed like with every kid she had, a million brain cells were donated to the cause. She clicked her tongue. "That's gay as fuck," she commented.
"Also stupid. Sure, leave your territory wide open, as the leader and the second in comman who is supposed to watch over said-territory in his absence go off on a dangerous mission."

Avaddon might not have the largest army, and perhaps they would never truly come close to the sheer sizes of a couple of the other leaders. What they lacked in size, however, they made up for in absolute tenacity. Trained to fight since birth, the elite soldiers of black rose were famed for their skills and discipline in battle. They would never break in the face of overwhelming odds, even to the point of death.

“very well, Sir Vokrec,” she said, closing her eyes with a small, resigned smile, then glanced at Shula with great expectations, “Shula will simply have to handle you alone.” Arakiel would watch him with drones. If anything should happen, she could fly to his side at a moment’s notice. But it was best not speak in the presence of wanna-be leaders.Dyle and Yew were nothing more important than a pesky fly. “Good luck,” she whispered and winked at the fire demon.

All territories were at different times left to their Commanders and armies as their leaders and second in commands saw to other matteres, and this was often true for the leaderS of the four clans, such as in this very moment. This fact did not escape them And it almost appeared to be deliberately and pointedly exposed. It would have been wiser for then to have kept their cards hidden. Arakiel was aware that there would always Be a struggle for the power of Avaddon’s seat, but there was a reason the Black Rose clan had remained in power since the beginning. Arakiel welcomed anyone that wished to risk their hide for Avaddon’s crown, in fact, she dared them to, if only for the Black Rose Commander to crush and humiliate them before all of Haven.

Vokrec smartly suggested that Black Rose's leader and second shouldn't go. If something happened, all of Black Rose would be in chaos.
"That's smart..." Ruri put in. He was about to suggest that maybe he could go instead of Vokrec, they didn't need two leaders down if things went sideways.
And then Vokrec gave Ruri direct orders to not go into the quarentine zone. Gosh, he knew him too well.
"Sadly, that also makes sense."
Ruri had just wanted to help, and that had swayed his opinion just a little. But he knew that unless otherwise ordered, he would stay here, anxious. Ruri had always found it easier to help, to actually DO SOMETHING rather than sit and wait, knowing that other people were handling it. He, of course, respected everyone in this room and trusted that they could get the job done, but he wished that he was the one there, the one doing it.
Ruri was just glad Avaddon was not insisting to go alone. Well, the iceberg wasn't stupid or stubborn, but he put a lot of pressure on himself, he never seemed to want to have help. Maybe he thought the way Ruri thought- that a job worth doing was a job worth doing yourself.

“That does not make sense!” Shula yelled. “In fact, it is the stupidest thing I have ever heard!” She was so done keeping quiet.

Moments before

She had stood back when Avaddon told her that he was. ‘just thinking’. That meant he was worrying. He had every right to be. The ferals were dangerous, and the fact that the experiments only showed that they became more dangerous outside the Quarantine Zone (where many of the murders were taking place) did not offer a solution. Well, a peaceful solution. Shula understood genocide. In fact, it was a quick way to calm the masses and neutralize a threat. But honestly, they did not have enough information to make any type of solution.

Why were the ferals, almost evolving? Why now? What is causing them to change? What is helping them past the barrier? Why were they going past the barrier?

She was proud of the questions and statements she held in. She focused on the Serpent’s Kiss and Bloody Moon Clans’ interactions. They were, fun. Shula wondered if Sir Yew had her powers if he would just light the whole cigarette on fire. She did that once. It was funny to watch General Shalom’s face fall as his cigar turned to ash in his hand when he lit it.

Though she was listening. How could she not? To her, Avaddon had a rhythmic voice. It did not command attention but, it was not forgettable either. How he navigated negotiations, taunts, and outright disrespect of others with patience is something that still baffled her. Even Vokrec, the legend that he is, disrespected Avaddon. It made Shula’s insides curl. She still admired Vokrec (he would always be the leader of the great Midnight Legion), but he was disrespecting her ward. And honestly, besides calling a sudden meeting, she saw no need for disrespect. Though, maybe it was more like two alpha males in a room. They could respect one another, but it was hard for one to truly submit. Maybe that was true for all of them. Too many Alphas with their own pack agendas. So, who was thinking about the victims of these attacks?

Speaking of, did they have anything in place to help the victims? Did they need help? Did they investigate the victims of these attacks? Was an evacuation of the Neutral Zone being considered? Where would the Neutral Zone be located if that was necessary?

Shula was brought out of her ever-questioning mind as Avaddon brought out the slides of some of the experimental findings. Shula stretched out her clutched hands as she examined each slide. Lady Airen was right, she really did have to find a better way to keep quiet. The slides showed the ferals in their attacking mode. They appeared like a cluster or a beehive. So, where was their center? What was their center?

Shula glanced at Arakiel. From what Shula had seen, Arakiel was an intelligent demoness and thrived in the scientific field of investigation. Maybe she would know something? Arakiel just glanced back, a soft smile on her face.

“I will be heading into the Quarantine Zone soon.Shula blinked and her head snapped to Avaddon. What the HELL was he thinking? She caught the I, in that statement. She caught the faraway look in his eyes. He wanted him, JUST him to go into the Quarantine Zone. It seemed he really didn’t get the purpose of her job and she would really have to wrap her chains around his horns to get it through his thick skull.

"Shula and I will be accompanying Avaddon, of course," Shula’s head snapped to Arakiel. Again, while Shula knew Arakiel could do her job better than herself, Arakiel was Second-in-Command. Did their kindness take up so much room in their brain that they had zero self-preservation?

“It isn’t wise for both the second and leader to go.” Shula sighed as Sir Vokrec spoke. Of course, he would have sense. “I and the Midnight Legion will accompany Avaddon into the Quarantine Zone.” Shula’s hands clenched tightly as her face heated up. No, it seems a hero always has to be a hero.

They all just kept talking and agreeing that sending two Clan leaders and a small tactical team was the best idea. A great solution. She understood the other Clans agreeing, they were smart enough to help from the safety of their clan. But not Ravinca and Black Rose. Even Sir Ruri and Arakiel agreed to the idea. Arakiel even winked at her. That led Shula to this moment.

“That does not make sense! In fact, it is the stupidest thing I have ever heard!” Shula’s face was burning as her eyes glowed. She went to the table and slammed her hands down next to Avaddon. She glared at him.

“Sir, while I do agree that we need more information to come up with any solution, genocide, healing, evacuation, whatever the solution may be,” One of Shula’s hands gestured in the air as she spoke. “Sending out two Clan leaders to the Quarantine Zone is the most reckless idea I have heard. Genocide is better,” Shula gestured to Sir Yew. “Because at least we would have leaders to blame or praise.”

“And I do not doubt the skills of the Midnight Legion,”
Shula looked to Vokrec. “And their amazing investigative help and force will be gladly appreciated, sir,” Shula nodded to Vokrec before glaring back at Avaddon. “It is still too much of a risk to send a direct line of the Founder’s blood into the Quarantine Zone.”

“Use body cams and send Arakiel, send me, send the legion, send drones, send whoever or whatever you want, but I,”
Shula placed a hand on her chest and leaned closer to Avaddon but her hands were on the table. “Cannot and will not let you go.” Shula felt the heat around her rise as her passion rose. “You, all of you,” Shula glanced and gestured to those at the table before her eyes glued back to Avaddon. “Are the legacy of hope that demons have left.”

“We cannot trust humans and we barely trust each other, but they,”
Shula gestured outward. "Trust you. So, look into the victims in the Neutral Zone. Question them." Shula's hands began gesturing again. "Help them rebuild. See if evacuating is possible. Tour the clans and train or investigate together. Build a rapport with one another so we don’t have to sit in here as you all have a pissing match. Then maybe we can start asking questions like why are the ferals aggressive now? Or what is being done for the victims? Or what is the center of these clusters of ferals?” Shula threw her hands up in the air.

“Just,” Shula put her hand on Avaddon's chair and leaned in. “Stay safe and out of the Quarantine Zone, please,” Shula begged. “Or in the name of my job, I will try to chain you to this chair,” Shula growled.

The glow of the clan mark hurt her eyes. Shula blinked and realized, exactly how close, and how out of bounds she was. She jumped back, the heat around her vanishing in a blink. “With all due respect, sir.” Shula coughed, before looking down at the table and grabbing her arm. She survived and beat training for 1400 years, she couldn’t keep silent for a meeting for thirty minutes.
