Background || History on Noro's

"Noro's Sleep" or more commonly known as "Noro's" is a tattoo parlor situated near the edge of the commercial district nearing the industrial district on the mainland; only a few miles away from the station that students from the Academy arrive and depart from. Its location is not obvious, it takes for someone to seek for them to find.

The building itself looks modern, the bricks decorating the outer structure gives it a rather rustic look. It blends in almost perfectly with the buildings that surround it, which is why it's not often tourists wander into it.

Its location and appearance are both intentional.

The roots of Noro's are stained by blood, sweat and tears. All caused by one woman alone, Midori Sagawa.

Midori is both the leader of a local organized crime reign and the daughter of one of Tokyo's most prestigious architect and artist, Hideo Sagawa. While her father funded the creation of the shop, right under their noses, a large bunker lied and came to light during some mild renovations to the place, a hidden door leading two whole stories into an arena that she would use for her own purposes, the birth of the fighting ring it would become. As a recent honors graduate from the Academy, her reasons were never questioned by the people around her. How could a cold blooded killer also be a prestigious mage?

The business was abundant for the parlor, anyone that knew about her frequented the place just to meet her and to experience the mystery surrounding the infamous shop ... but only few made it past the elevator that descended into her pride and joy, her very own fighting ring.

Her vision extended onto the potential she saw in the students at the Academy, her thirst for battle ever growing within the four walls of her dorm room, only to be turned away by faculty. The inability to use her magic as she wanted, often resulting in unnecessary demonstrations of violence outside the school. Not again would a student undergo that rejection.

Noro's is the home to one of the largest criminal organizations in PACT, a homebrewed Yakuza-owned sect that goes by the name of Plague of Decadence, or The Plagues. Midori herself being one of the top heads leading the movement.

Yet the club serves as a cover for both criminals and anyone that wishes to put their strength to the test.

The Noro's Club is open for anyone and everyone willing to fight in it... the most important rule from Noro's... once you are part of Noro's, you're always part of Noro's.

Noro's Ring Rules
  1. Once part of Noro's ALWAYS part of Noro's.
  2. No shoes, no weapons. Magic of all types allowed.
  3. Only 1 fight at the time. No time limit.
  4. Only Elite members may bring new blood in. If you are not an elite, you may not speak about Noro's to anyone.
  5. If someone begs for mercy, or blacks out, the fight is over.
  6. First night, you MUST fight.
  7. 1 v 1 always. No teams.
  8. What enters Noro's stays at Noro's - If a fight is dragged outside of Noro's, you will be targeted.

Minor modifications to the above reference, there are no stairs, just the elevator that allows for members/fighters to descend into the arena. Just a floor above, there is almost like a glass enclosure for other members to watch the fight. The rest remains fairly accurate to the pictured above.

Here's the thing with Noro's, if you wish for a character (or characters) to join, please make sure you let me know. There is no limit in how many characters of yours can join, just please make sure to note that joining *may* impact your character's relations with people or with other arcs that may happen in a future.

Noro's isn't entirely legal in nature since it is owned by a mafia leader. PLEASE note that. Joining won't initiate you as a gang member (obviously) but it isn't for young (anyone under 18) students, for rather obvious reasons. (if your character is younger than 18 - they can still join but please reach out to me for deets on that!)

Currently the only elites that would be able to "initiate" your character into Noro's will be Uriel (my character) or Shiro (Jessie's character)

We can coordinate with you as needed to have them initiated, but for that we need at least 2 characters to go in with an elite. So plan for a small wait (if any.)
