@Edge45, the First Piemaster and the First Spokesperson

Welcome! Here we've included the history about the roleplay worlds as well as the group itself,

I've broken it down into sections for easier reading. If there's something not included in this guide that you would like to see added, please tell us in the [OOC] General Discussion thread.

Group History —— In-Character —— Shared

NOTE : This period of history is shared by both roleplay timelines namely Neoclassical Timeline and Handshake Timeline.

CAUTION : The Group History may be very confusing to some, as it was based off another website. For the curious-minded visitors, proceed with caution!

I - Conquest of the Cake Crusade

"All your base are belong to me!"
Mythic, the First Cakemaster. His wrong-grammar ultimatum wrecked the world and sent his Cake Crusade to world domination.

The Cake Crusade, under the banners of Mythic, the Cakemaster of his cake empire - Arygos. The legion of food conquered all other treats and sweets unimaginable. Their fist of yummy iron spreads throughout the world like a chocolate out of a fountain (I'm not kidding here). His rule goes absolute, ridding the weak of their freedom. The wicked Cakemaster had all. His lunacy deprived everything, or was it rather spoken the opposite? Truth be told he didn't want this to happen. What can he do? He can't change the world through peace, so by force he was forced.

The Cakemaster chained the people of Vestroya, the world they call home. Be it mortals, animals, desserts, snacks, foods, everyone. His legion of cakes and the vast empire he controls, became the dominant kind. For years he will rule, or so he thought.

II - The Resistance Born

"Anyone care to start? To war!"
— The legend named SCN, the Godfather of the First Resistance. Said as their revolution will be the root for the future.

It is literally obvious that when you cannot agree to somebody, you have to resist that particular. Three nations fell victim to the conquests of Arygos, under the grimy hands of the Cakemaster and his minions. The three nations were enslaved, but its leaders were able to escape and manage to unite themselves. They know that it was only the beginning, but they decided to resist the dark evil desserts with all they have. The Resistance Against the Cake Crusade was born, led by SCN, Heinvers, and Chobibo. Together their triple alliance will create the fires of revolution. The three; SCN, was a charismatic star (no really, he is a star, a starfish!) and became the Godfather of the Resistance; Heinvers was critical, rational and an intelligent human, who became the Mind of the Resistance; Chobibo was an oblivious, funny, and strong litte man, who became the Force of the Resistance.

The three nations were absorbed into the empire of Arygos. But revolutionary movements were strong, and the people really disgusts the taste of cakes. SCN had a trusted cake agent named Bandol, and that spy had won the trust of the Cakemaster. Using his intel, and as the Cakemaster's massive army was still unto world domination, the Resistance infiltrated his palace and brought him to his knees. It didn't come to an end here though...

It didn't come to an end here though...
It didn't come to an end here though...
It didn't come to an end here though...
It didn't come to an end here though...

Well, the story continues...

Summaries of the Past —— Neoclassical Timeline

The First Age

III - Backfired

"Darkness does not always mean evil. There is truth in darkness that those lost in the light do not know. You know where corruption stems from? Power. Power tends to corrupt. Absolute power corrupts absolutely."
— The Cakemaster's words, before the Resistance was tricked by his plans.

At near defeat and meltdown, the Cakemaster tells the resistance of the truth of why he commits this. He was also disappointed at Bandol the spy for betraying him. This actually and succesfully bought time, he tricked the resistance (lamefully) and led them to their end as the Cakemaster burned his own palace and escaped (yes, somebody can become this kind of crazy). The sacrifice of the resistance leaders weren't in vain. Eventually word spreads throughout the world of their heroic acts. They were not able to slay the evil cake menace, but succesfully able to infiltrate and burn his palace (yes, Cakemaster's plan backfired to him), was enough to spark a new revolution.

IV - Birth of the Second Resistance

"Behold Devin the bane of toilets and the garden crusher."
— Paliouras decreed that King Devin be the hope of the new Resistance.

When one man reaches the height of his power, so shall it fade and be removed from him. The Cakemaster once conquered and wickedly destroyed a mystical human kingdom called Eiramond. Soldiers were butchered by the cake swarm, men were slaughtered by the legionnaires' grimy and grotesque hands, women and children were put to slavery under the evil temptations of cakes. Revenge was all there was for the surviving defenders and the leader of that kingdom. Devin, King of Eiramond, swore to avenge his people and his land, as he and the survivors fled to their ally frontier of Cookiengdom.

They were welcomed by the crunchy monarchy and its yummy people. Paliouras, the Cookiemaster, swear to help Devin and his people rid of the cake menace. But they were too far outpowered and outnumbered compared to the cake empire of Arygos. In times when hope is so brittle, help is all that is needed, and perhaps candy too. The Cookiengdom called upon unity to other forces that are being put to control by the evil Cake Crusade. As well as those who are not yet but may be soon. Many heared the call and the first meeting was held. It did not go so well as the leaders themselves were even fighting with the others. Until they were united by King Devin himself. He tells them the sacrifice of the first Resistance, and how they (how it happened was rather luck or miracle I guess) were able to mount a revolution inside the walls of Arygos.

The Resistance Against the Cake Crusade was reborn, they eventually recalled it RACC (yeah, they ranted the name was long). Armies and forces united, under one banner - showing disgusts of evil (Illuminati) cake and crossed with red.

V - Counterattack

"Today we stood together and we captured the Cake Empire to the walls, I remember the day they captured our capital, and we all stood together and recaptured it. Now we are in a reverse position to them. We are still together and we will forever be bound to one another. Brothers and sisters, this is the final battle! For our kingdom! For our families! and For the world we fight! And to death we shall, together we fight, together we live, together we die, may God bless Eiramond! and all who fought against the great evil! And so shall the evil empire fall and another reborn!["
— The legend named Devin, the King of Eiramond and Grand General of the Resistance

"What victory is that creature narrating. He just demolished my outhouse. My toilet is gone."
— Mythic's response to Devin's speech.

Under King Devin, the united Resistance Against the Cake Crusade trampled through the evil cake minions of Arygos. Countries were taken back, nations under the sickening legion were being freed, everyone revolted and fights back against the Cakemaster.

Unto the Cakemaster's perspective, the rats have started to crawl back to his sewers, and so he must dealt them with supreme force. He feels emotional of how things would become easier if only they accept change. Nonetheless, the Cakemaster launched his dreaded cake legions, but the resistance were far too yummy and had a strong taste compared to theirs. Eventually, the revolution reached the cake empire's walls. King Devin watched a fateful scene, instead of watching how his kingdom fell, he watches his enemy's. With one great speech, they charged and broke through the cake lines. Fire and blood, the cakes melted below the rigorous resistance. It came to the point where the Cakemaster and his minions were trapped in their palace and the empire at the brink of defeat. With a burning desire of vengeance King Devin grabbed the Cakemaster's neck and throwed him away from his throne, begging to hear his truth.

VI - There And Back Again

"Are you kidding me?"
— King Devin gets tired as he saw the pity of the other resistance leaders to the Cakemaster.

Back to his knees again, the Cakemaster begged King Devin and the other resistance leaders. It got ridiculous when the the resistance leaders fell for his ruse except King Devin. Hearing his sad story, very sad if you think how they got fooled, only King Devin felt no pity. Once again, the cake palace erupted to flames, and with the heavy black smoke the Cakemaster escaped. Succesfully able to repeat his plans.

Only this time the resistance brought along fire extinguishers for a safe escape route and successfully survived (crazy right?). Avoiding the blunder their predecessors made.

VII - Aftermath

"We can live happily ever after ~"
— The Cakemaster's last words before he disappeared.

The grand triumph over the cakes was successful. The Resistance ended the empire of Arygos and dismantled its cakey government. There weren't anymore signs of the Cake Crusade. And all the conquered nations were freed. Rather anti-climactic if you ask me.

The tyrannical and deceptive menace Mythic, the Cakemaster, was no where to be found along with his major legion. It cannot be said the Cake Crusade ended here. And King Devin was very angry while rebuilding their homeland of Eiramond.
But sure enough, there was peace... and it will not last I tell you.

The Second Age

I - The Cakemaster's Comeback

"All your bases belong to me!"
— The Cakemaster's ultimatum, and correctly grammared this time.

He's back, and with a greater force. The decade of peace has passed, war returns once more. The Cake Crusade sweeped the entire east region and fell for the cakey's sudden sweet suprise invasion. The cake minions were even more aggressive, monstrous, grotesque, yummy and with more flavors too. The Cakemaster was all grinning and smiling like wickedly Cheshire Cat (Alice, anyone?).
What he did not know was that somebody was already preparing for him, all this time. King Devin of Eiramond, anticipated that he will return. Together with his friend King Paliouras of Cookiengdom and RACC. They struck the Cake Crusade by storm, only to find out that the Cakemaster himself have been anticipating them too (Mary Sue, anyone?).
A new ally of the Cake Crusade, the Dark Legion, arises from the southeast. These were dark warriors of rotted black flesh and not-chocolate color. Their eyes were not of the living, not of the dead, they were Undead! And with this new ally of force led by the Cakemaster's definitely-not-cake undead general Darko Darking, overpowers the Resistance.

II - New Friends

"Let's read ero manga together, that way we could build trust amongst ourselves..."
— The head of the Mercantile of Sideburn expressing its aid to the Resistance.

The tides turned against the Resistance as their armies are pushed back to the gates of the kingdom of Eiramond. Back to square-one I guess. From this unstable dilemma, new forces arrived for help. Flags of red, armored warriors, riders of flightless tall birds, horns of war sounded, the Egilians have arrived. Lead by Edgar "Edge" Phoenixus, he and his army charged unto the Dark Legion's lines and overcame the southern frontier and broke the Eiramond city siege (that was rather quick).

The Egilians raised their banners for the Resistance, as the Dark Legion once made conflicts with them. And that wasn't the Resistance's only friend to come for aid. The Mercantile of Sideburn supplied the Resistance with even greater amount of food and weapons from the north, due to the ever growing evil of the Cakemaster.

Alas, new friends of the Resistance, new enemies for the Cake Crusade. Apparently the Cakemaster scolded his general Darko for intervening with the Egilians. The main problem was with the massive supplies recieved by the Resistance through Sideburn, he doesn't have access to this. The new weapons proved its critical strength after they lost the siege of Eiramond city and was completely held back. Even Egilians have access to this. Suddenly (I mean really, these twists come so suddenly), a shady person came to the Cakemaster with weapons and supplies that can match Sideburn's and Egilian's with an even greater force. He had the name Deroc only, and his suppliers were even shadier than him. Shady + mysterious + kickass weapons = Cakemaster Happy - was all the equation needed for the Cake Crusade and the Dark Legion to even the match with the Resistance.

III - Tardy and Tired

"In the future, let's just find a common ground where we can co-exist."
— Mythic, the Cakemaster, announced to everyone that he wanted to make peace.

Wars, conflicts, battles, skirmishes. Time passed and still it continued like this. Both sides were even, I mean they're not even done with the battle at Eiramond. The Cakemaster was getting tired and suggested himself for vacation. He became emotional and just doesn't feel like he belongs here. He himself only wanted fun and let the people accept his ideals. He decides to make peace... yeah you read it, peace (See? This twists just came out ridiculously quick).

Shocked, everyone was shocked, the Resistance, the cakey minions, the rotted fleshy undeads, the shady weapon smugglers, they were all shocked! Even the Cakemaster himself (wait that doesn't make sense). The Cakemaster was tired of war, and decides to make it all flowers and love. Actually King Paliouras of Cookiengdom and the rest wanted to end this too and accepts his peace. But the hatred of King Devin and Eiramond was ever strong, he wants to end with his side trampling over the menace's butt, and let him roll to the hill like Jack and Jill.

A temporary ceasefire was declared to both sides. And a "safe" discussion was made through advance efforts of Sideburn and Cookiengdom with the Cakemaster's council.

IV - The Drama

"Cake is all about flowers and love."
— King Paliouras decreed and arranged a peace conference between the Cake Crusade.

"Well he doesn't look even a little like flowers and love to me... since when did undead or demons ally and make peace with Humans or any other holy races!? Making peace with a faction after long attacks and wars are real easy here's how; Oh hai, peace. Baiiiii!; Similar situation, slaps someone and keeps on attacking him, he said, oh I'm sorry, peace. Baiiii!"
— But was contradicted by King Devin.

Continuing the peace discussion. Things were getting dramatic between the Cakemaster and King Devin. All sorts of hate spouted by King Devin because he was one who got the most of the evil effects caused by the Cakemaster. He wanted to punish the Cake Crusade and him most off all for the crimes, and he doesn't accept letting him getting away with all of what he had done. Death and destruction is what King Devin wanted for the Cakemaster and his legions.

As for the Cakemaster, he had longed wanted a world of co-existence (rather hypocritical you can say). He and his legion are all tired of this war and evil stuff. He wanted peace, and communed with King Devin as best as he can. (*cough* Again) Everyone pitied the Cakemaster, he expressed his words truthfully without a trace of deception. Now now I know you might think this might be another one of his tricks, but no, he is plain tired and wanted this nonsense to end.

It came to the part where voting was the needed solution. The majority called for peace and dismantling of the Cake Crusade's armies, even the Cakemaster agreed to this. King Devin was furious of not annihilating these menaces, and the rest of the cakes were even furious for their total dismissal.

Well, at least peace was attained... perhaps.

V - Gone For Good

"He left... that didn't go well."
— Edge, the leader of Egilian, turned plain straight-faced.

One night, and he was gone. Just a day after the agreement of peace. The Cakemaster disappeared, without a trace. The Resistance think that this might be a ploy, but even the Cake Crusade doesn't know where he had gone to, or disappeared to. This caused chaos within the ranks and the total splitting of the Cake Crusade. Meaning, the Cake Crusade is no more. Darko Darkking respected the peace made by his master and returned to his who-knows-what-kind-of land. The Cake Minions were thrown into the Arygos Civil War for which this part I cannot tell no more.

The Cake Crusade, have long been an archenemy of the Resistance, but now that it's gone, the reason for its existance can't be explained further. So yeah, the RACC broke up and returned to their respective lands. There was less trouble and conflicts. King Devin is still furious, and called for a meeting with King Paliouras his friend. Eventually, King Paliouras committed suicide after hearing the disappointment given to him by his dear friend. The Mercantile of Sideburn became a rich business country that spread its ero-mangas trade throughout the world, and became famous. But it got bankrupted after Cookiengdom failed to pay their rent. Egilian returned to the islands from the east, cleaning the Dark Legion's corruption. The rest of the Resistance were either growing like an empire or gone eating dinner because they are sick of desserts and sweets. As for Eiramond, well, King Devin have all been feeling the remorse after King Paliouras committed suicide. He regretted that he stayed in his hatred for the Cakemaster when it all came to pass. He can never forget...

The Third Age

I - To Where We Left Off

We all remember how the First Cakemaster disappeared. And everybody went emotional, happy, or disgusted. Some returned to their homes and caused a civil war because they are better flavored, some just went to their houses and watched TV (if it was already invented), some pissed their pants, some commited suicide due to not able to pay their rent, some just went for dinner with their who-knows-what girlfriends, or the other way around. Now that you remember, which I expect you to do, let's go to where we left off...

Years have pass. And trust me those years that passed are just something to make the anticipation a bit exciting. The nation of Eiramond collapsed, the disappearance of King Devin along with his council caused the country to fall unto chaos. The Cookiengdom shut off their borders, and became a rather rascist of a country, who knows whats happening there, probably cookies wanting sprinkles instead of chocolate chips. The Mercantile of Sideburn, well, it got bankrupted... that's all there is to it. The members of the Resistance, slowly diminished.

Unto Arygos. Ever since the disappearance of Mythic, the First Cakemaster, things have been "not tasty" in the empire. Arygos is massive, stretching its borders from the east landbridge of Astyra towards the cape of Ospia's western coastline. And you know what happens when your great Hitler disappeared suddenly, yeah, who gets to rule next. This ain't Berlin where your Allies and Soviets build up walls to split you like a twin, in this particular, there's just war. The Arygos Civil War began weeks after the Cakemaster's disappearance. Among the cliques fighting for the control of the empire is Pherith, reared by the said-to-be heir and self-proclaimed Second Cakemaster Deroc. Most of Arygos supported Pherith, because the last words of the First Cakemaster are rumored to be giving his seat and throne to Deroc. Although the Resistance have diminished, its few remaining member countries within the mainland continued to be vigilant in the collapsing empire. Some supported other cliques because they deem the Pherith clique to be of danger and perhaps could lead to another Cake Crusade.

II - Plagued

Egilian left the mainland of Astyra and Ospia after the Arygos Empire and the Resistance declared peace. The Shadow Legion also left, they don't seem to support any of the warring cliques within the civil war happening at the empire of Arygos. The Shadow Legion's leader, Darko Darkking, supported the cause of the First Cakemaster and joined the Cake Crusade because their rotten and not-chocolate flavors were freed and accepted by him.

The Shadow Legion was once a landlocked kingdom in a peninsula, strucked by a deadly epidemic and caused its people to die and rot. But the people settled for dark magic and raised themselves to be undeath, yeah they don't want to die yet. This had foreboding effects, and the plague that taints them remained and is still highly contagious. The country was shut off by walls of other nations, locking the kingdom, nobody coming in or out, Great Wall of China complete style. They were freed eventually by the First Cakemaster, what happened to the wall it's best not to find out. Its king Darko, held his highest gratitude to the point of serving him and any of his wishes. The Cakemaster gave him the chance to release his vengeance upon those that imprisoned them, and so the Shadow Legion formed and invaded those that dares to lock them to death.

Well now that the First Cakemaster's gone, there's no need for Darko to be affiliated with the affairs of Arygos. But there is one thing for sure of what they have in mind, finish their vengeance. The countries of the region of Elias - Karastus, Gryphonus, Lanceline, and Egilian, were part of financing the establishment of the wall that shutted them off from the outside world. Pretty wicked if you ask me. The Shadow Legion would then invade the country of Karastus, followed Gryphonus, Egilian, and Lanceline, by storm. I guess hatred is much better choosed here.

III - No Flags This Time

The Shadow Legion attacked, hitting Karastus first. The kingdom was hit by suprised, unable to mount a strong defense, they almost fell. The Egilian-conquered Gryphonus soon followed, and then Egilian and its neighbor country Lanceline.

The Egilians were still fresh from battles, quelling Gryphonus uprising and rebellions, much like to how a chicken is after being butchered and put into the freezer (then you should fry it, best meal for the day). They quickly went to counter the undead army. A sea warfare started in the Summer Islands. It escalated quickly unto other seas. Even the farther country of Lanceline got included. Gryphonus had been demilitarize after the War of the Four Wings against Egilian, but this time they cooperated with their former enemies and fought the Shadow Legion. There are no main flags here (I mean really, this ain't the American Civil War where you carry your flag of honor and rights). The Shadow Legion proclaimed no allegiance to the Cake Crusade, nor did Egilian to the Resistance, it was a free-for-all war.

The battles made Egilian invade Karastus and take over the kingdom, taking the frontlines towards those islands. Karastus was collapsing anyways, so why not wipe the plate and put another food (if only this was a food fight where you throw cakes, pizzas, and pies at each other's face).

IV - Ghosts Of The Past

"I propose a marriage--err alliance."
— The Demonlord of the Abaddon's Fury, making a deal with King Devin and his falling kingdom.

Conflicts in Elias, civil wars in Ospia, collapsing countries in Astyra, when did peace started? Yeah it ain't all flowers and love in this place.
A new force (Not the Force of gravity in Star Wars fyi) arrived to settle the conflicts in Elias. If you're thinking what I'm thinking, yeah they pop out of nowhere with their wierd portals that signify an alien invasion, only this time these invaders are those horny bulls and friends you call Demons (not real pow pow and tripod aliens from War of the Worlds, that would be crazy. I mean, it's already a crazy world). They are called the Abaddon's Fury, an army of former mortals that seemed to have pledge their service to their Demonlord >insert Doge face<.

Ah well, that ends the part of this tale. If you ever learn something here, is that Roleplay is all about flowers and love! Spread and commit love, not hate! Oh wait, hippy-talk me, nevermind that. It is never the end, it is just the beginning, of the end, which the end will become the new beginning... arrggh!!! The tale does not end here!

Chronicles of Vestroya —— Handshake Timeline

The First Age

III - The One Handshake

"Darkness does not always mean evil. There is truth in darkness that those lost in the light do not know. You know where corruption stems from? Power. Power tends to corrupt. Absolute power corrupts absolutely."
— The Cakemaster's words, before the Resistance was tricked by his plans.

The Resistance have come to stop the Cakemaster from his ambitions, but the Cakemaster anticipated them.

At near defeat and meltdown, the Cakemaster tells the resistance of the truth of why he commits this. This actually and succesfully bought time, he tricked the resistance (lamefully) and led them to their end as the Cakemaster burned his own palace (yes, somebody can become this kind of crazy).

The Resistance had nowhere to escape, and died by the flames, it happened that kinda simple. The Cakemaster had already planned a escape route, and heads there. But! Some particular future people awaits him... and seals his only escape path. Yep, the Cakemaster met an unfortunate death by his own plans. He died from the flames along with the Resistance.

IV - An Empire Shattered

xxx

V - Conspiracies

Emperors, kings and princes. What do they share in common? What do they need to survive in this new age? Sure, some of them might be good, some are tyrants, but to rise and prosper, they must always have schemes and conspiracies in mind. The same could be said for rebels, to change the world they have to plot and conspire as well.

Yep. The egoistic ruler of Nullmagic himself, Emperor Haltwatch, holds a big dream. A big, sweet dream. A big, sweet dream to conquer the world in Nullmagic's name, and shape the world into a perfect utopia under his visionary rule. But he couldn't just barge in and go into a slaughterfest right? Thus, he has to tread his step carefully one by one. A wrong step might have costed him all of Nullmagic. He laid his eyes onto Arygos, a big, sweet and delicious Cake Empire, which got itself fractured after Mythic's death. To better conquer the Cake Empire, he has begun trading with Eiramond, a useful friend for the time being but still trash in his way.

Now, back on the vast empire of Arygos, which was not really an empire anymore. The bloody war has finally ended with an uneasy peace. Deroc remained on the imperial throne, and his kingdom Pherith stood well against countless oppositions. But the war left
the whole Arygos scattered and ruined, including Pherith itself. During the early years, Pherith was in a really shitty situation, struck in poverty and were at the mercy of foreign conquerors.

Deroc opened up the Pherithian ports for foreign trade over the seas, and increased trade with the surrounding fiefdoms. With the help of Deroc's guidance, economic activities and mutual assistance, it took only a few months to salvage Pherith from the ruins of war, along with the rest of Arygos. The next step in Deroc's plan was to bring all of Arygos under his rule, and conquer more lands in the name of Mythic and Arygos. He had ideas for another Cake Crusade, but he was always looking for a scapegoat so hard.

*Gryphonus Resistance were slowly building up their forces, and plotting to free the lands of Ehelion from Edgar's tyranny*
*Deroc has plans to expand Pherithian influence over Arygos, he wants to unite the shattered Arygos under his banner while also conquer more lands*

*Azlariah and the rest of Flardyrn have their own plans as well. They sent Seryl and other scouts to look at Eiramond, hopefully to steal info and magic. However, halfway Cutie spread the plague blah blah blah...*
