How it All Started:

It's 2020. Technology is on a rise and virtual reality gaming is at its' peak. Virtual reality games have been slowly coming on the market lately, and one of the most popular ones is a recent open world RPG simply named OZ.


Many people have spoke of a this game giving it a lot of media coverage and raising the popularity even more. Almost everyone around the world had this game, it was amazing for the company who created it due to the money the sales were bringing in. It was based in a world similar to that of the one that was described in the Wizard of OZ. Yet, it had many differences than the fictional world, like the monsters that roamed the areas surrounding the cities and villages, like the different powers that each individual could have. This games was completely new and so different from any other open-world RPG but not just because of the graphics or style, there was something a little bit more to this game...

A little more sinister.

The first recorded case was in September 21, 2021, about seven months after the game came out. A girl by the name of Dorothy Simmons was found to be in a comatose state in her room. Nobody knew why, though a lot of people speculated that she went into this state after having an epileptic seizure, the only thing was this girl had no record of having epilepsy or a history of seizures.

But despite that people could still suffer from seizures, right?

That is what people thought until more cases came out saying the same exact story. People began pointing fingers at the creators of the game but they refused to say anything on the topic. This only angered people more as protests happened almost everyday outside of the company's building. People wanted answers to this strange epidemic. People had lost their children, spouses and other loved ones and everyday more and more people were to never wake up from this game...

The CEO came out and finally spoke on the topic. He said, "I understand that this is very hard to comprehend what is going on but all I can tell you is, the people you love are in my world now and there is no escape. You can try to take off the headsets but that will cut off the only connection they have left to this world. Without it, they will be permanently stuck in OZ." With a laugh, he left the podium only to never be hear from again.

This is where you come in, you are the ones that are trapped in this game, and are aware of the fact that you can't leave it. You are very different souls with one goal in mind: getting back home.

Will you succeed or will OZ be your resting place? Will you go at it alone or help each other out?
Will you fall in love? Will you choose to stay?
It is up to you. Just remember...

There is no place like home.

Gillikan Country

The northern region of the Land of OZ. Home to the former Evil Witch of the North and the Forest of the Winged Monkeys, this land has nature that is oddly purple. Many of the inhabitants have blond curly hair and jutted, gaping teeth with large, bulbous foreheads. Underneath parts of this land, are dragons who wake up every 100 years to feed. It is more prosperous and industrially developed than other regions of Oz, and is home of Shiz University. Along the banks of the Munchkin River stands a group of talking trees, who if in a good mood will offer their limbs for support on timber.

Gillikin Country was once ruled by the Wicked Witch of the North before the Tin Man became ruler of this country. He resides in the Tin Kingdom, the most notable area in all of Gillikan Country.

Winkie Country

The Winkie Country is the Western region of OZ. The Winkie Country is in the West, being ruled by the Wicked Witch of the West. This quadrant is strictly distinguished by the color yellow. This color is worn by most of the native inhabitants called the Winkies and predominates in the local surroundings. The Winkies are relatively normal in appearance with the exception of their yellow-tinted skin. Tin abounds there and it is said that the Winkies are some of the most skillful tinsmiths in the world. This was the country once ruled by the malevolent Wicked Witch of the West before her death. After that, the Winkies asked the Tin Woodman to be their new monarch ruler which he gladly accepted. He now lives in a vast palace made of tin that his loyal subjects built in his honor as a present for their new tin King.

This land neighbors Nome Mountain, which hosts the underground Nome Kingdom while lay miles upon miles under the earth. This is a very wealthy kingdom as they have massive amounts of gold, jewels and many other treasures.

Munchkin Country

The eastern region of Oz. The Munchkin's surroundings are strictly dominated by blue and blue of every shade, blue being the Munchkins mascot color. The Munchkins are stated to only wear clothing of all blue because Munchkin Country is always distinguished by that specific color, being represented as blue on Oz's official flag and map.

This country is said to be very aesthetically pleasing, being a extremely lax and friendly country. While this is not the only country that offers ways to get to OZ, this is the only country that has a direct path that connects to the Emerald City, though no one knows why.

Quadling Country

The Quadling Country is the Southern region in OZ. It is distinguished by the color red, worn by most of the local inhabitants called the Quadlings as well as the color of their surroundings. Like the Munchkin Country, the outer regions of the Quadling Country are rich, pleasant and lovely, being inhabited by kind and friendly people, while the areas closer to the Emerald City (most of the regions between the mountains of the Hammer-Heads, the enclave of Dainty China Country and the Forest of the Fighting Trees) are forbidding and dangerous.

Emerald City

The Emerald City, is the biggest and most relevant city in OZ. It stands in the very center of Oz, being the official imperial capital of the entire country. The City of Emeralds can be found at the very end of Oz's famous Yellow Brick Road. The road stops right at the emerald studded gates which is connected to the green marble wall that surrounds the entire city. The city is a magnificent place indeed, being described as stately, statuesque, imposing and even intimidating.

The equal of which has never been seen or discovered, (even in other enchanted realms and fairylands.) In fact, it is so magnificent that a bright green glow can be seen far off into the distance many miles away that shines brightly high up, above the city and into the sky even in broad daylight. The closer you get to the city, the more its glow intensifies, and becomes brighter and brighter until everything surrounding the city, including the rays of the sun appear to be of a greenish tint.
