The war meeting was already underway and the three factions of Shintenchi had been gathered together under a common purpose. Sato Shogunate, Volaria, and Losenji. Alone, none of them posed a particularly large threat, but united they possessed a military force to surpass that of the TNG's by over two to one. Admittedly it would take more than numbers to go up against the TNG, but with the TNG in disarray from the recent confrontation with the Aschen, as well as the spacial anomalies that were throwing their nation into chaos, it was the opportune time to move against them.

Krishav, Volarian Master of War, had been largely heading the opening discussions. With the initial troop movements being through Volaria and into Caldonia, the Volarians had good cause to want a central role in the imminent battle plans.

The table itself was covered with maps - both paper, and holographic in nature - and various other documents.

____

Four of Losenji's five Generals were present at the meeting. Haruki Kokuro, General (and uncle) of the Empress, represented Kaida's personal interests in the conflict and so, nominally, had the highest authority of those present. However, he deferred much of that authority to Liang Cheng, the General of the Land and thus the head of Losenji's primary armed forces.

Alongside them were Daisuke Nakamura, the General of the Skies - a dragon rider in his early thirties, and the youngest of the generals - and Aiko Mizushima, the General of the Seas.

Much of Losenji's role in this conflict was to be defensive. Aiko's ships would join the other nations in guarding the great bridge connecting Shintenchi to Terra, alongside some of the land-based armed forces. Daisuke's dragon riders would form one of two contingents dedicated to joining the offensive, alongside a large division of Losenyu Spirit Channelers - specialised magic users who would fall primarily under the command of Liang.

The Shogunate had also sent their envoys, a large stocky man by the name of Jyunichi Kobayashi, an esteemed Taiyou general whom had served in the Imperial Taiyou Army before retiring to serve in the Sato Shogunate. Standing along side him, and inevitably climbing on the table was 'Taanz 'Velzzmkt who opted to observe the proceedings as the eyes and ears of the AXIS Cooperation forces. In addition to advising the Shogun on military matters.

Kobayashi eyed the map, before several plastic models representing Shogunate military forces were placed on the table.

He wanted to push across the bridge into Caldonia, under cover of naval artillery and air strikes from Shintenchi. In addition to landing troops further up the coast, while harrassing TNG Defenses with bombing runs and a massive suprise attack.

"This is my proposed plan of action." Kobayashi said, bringing his gaze up to the other representatives.

____

"A blind surprise attack was not part of the Matriarch's conditions of war," Krishav rebuked. "Our Matriarch still maintains a wish to avoid the bloodshed of war, by providing the TNG an opportunity to accept our demands."

"However," he continued after only a brief pause. "We are not so naive as to think the TNG will accept such demands. Terrans are not known for their yielding nature."

He moved a hand to rest a finger upon a large pass leading up into the Tananeen mountains.

"No artillery, no air strikes," he stated. "We begin moving our infantry troops across the bridge under the cover of night. Our intelligence tells us that there are only two small militia outposts, here, and here," he said as he indicated both. "Neither are well equipped, and both can be taken by night without bloodshed, and with few men. We occupy the town of Valenar," He moved his finger to the agricultural town at the base of the mountains that was situated along the Koramir river. "Nothing more. With civilians in the picture and no formal war declaration on the table yet, the TNG won't be rash in its actions. We submit our conditions for the removal of our troops, and tie things up at the negotiations table. If the TNG thinks there's a chance of settling this there, it buys us the necessary time to get our troops dug into those mountains. We can begin construction of a military base of operations here," he indicated. "And both of the Caldonian outposts can be used for our purposes as well. They're situated in strategic locations, and easily defensible against attacks from the west."

Cheng rubbed thoughtfully at his chin before weighing in on the matter.

"Our joint navy is formidable, but the TNG army is equally so. We don't hold superior enough numbers to engage the Eastlands by sea alone, and we would lose hundreds of thousands in attacking the coast through brute force. If we delay TNG action through negotiations, it buys us the time to secure the bridge and to take the mountains in Caldonia. With that said, I cannot condone committing troops to engagements in the Eastlands until after we hold those mountains. I agree with Krishav's plan of action. If we open with bloodshed, then the TNG will have no choice but to retaliate in kind and we may lose the bridge before we can properly secure it. If we lose that bridge, we lose our supply line to our troops in Caldonia."

____

"Our fleets' priority should be protecting the bridge, until such a time as a naval attack on the Eastlands becomes a better option. Even then, Losenji's fleet should remain on the defence. We don't have a lot of ships, but what we do have is Farseers." Aiko spoke up, "Channellers with precognitive powers. Strategically placed across the bridge, they'll be able to see any attacks before they happen, and give us vital time to react in advance of any strikes that slip past our perimeters."

____

As the generals went over their plans, Taanz spoke up at the mention of tying the TNG up in negotiations. "I can travel to the TNG to negotiate with them, perhaps I could even negotiate a solution that will not result in bloodshed." The Matokey explained. "I am prepared to travel upon the conclusion of this meeting." He added, while General Kobayashi frowned. "Very well, i can use the navy to secure the bridge while the army crosses into Caldonia, and land troops further up the coast as the stratagem warrants it." He said, while listening to whispers from a second Shogunate General, whose uniform bore the insignia of Shintenchis strategic missile Command.

They exchanged a few brief, hushed words in Taiyou before General Kobayashi nodded.

"A sound plan, one that I will consider when planning our leg of the offensive." He said in response to Krishav's proposal.

____

"Very good then," Krishav answered. "If we are all in agreement, we can begin coordinating our movements."

Several more maps were pulled up, many of which contained detailed geography of the Tananeen mountains.

It would be some time yet before their plans began to reach full fruition, but they were swiftly taking form.
