Pupper

Well-Known Member
Subject 37-D
Nickname: "Dee"
Age: 13
Place of birth: Laboratory, unknown location.
Gender: Female
Species: Cha'tool (human/feline)

Physical Description:
Height: 5'0"
Weight: 110lbs
Hair: Short to medium lenght, tied back in a pony; dark auburn.
Eyes: Green
Detailed physical description: Dee appears to be a cross between a feline and a human. She possesses feline-like ears that poke out amongst her unruly head of hair, which is tied back into a stubby pony tail, and fur-like skin that covers 85% of her body. Dee has a tail and abnormally large feline like feet. Her frame is slender and she carries herself as if she weighed nothing; light on her feet and agile.

Personality and Attributes:

Dee was once afraid of the world but she was taught how to live in it. Although Dee is now cautiously trusting, she is quite naive and gullible. The girl often hides behind a "practiced maturity" and her child-like tendencies only rear their head when she is caught off guard or excited about something. Dee does her best to act like everyone else around her, fearing that she is seen as "different". She is overly curious, which can get her into trouble, and becomes frustrated when she can't figure things out. Dee is loyal to those who take care of her and has recently gained an annoying persistence in seeking the truth.

As a Cha'tool Dee possesses naturally heightened balance, hearing, and eyesight. Her race is also notorious for being frail and not being able to withstand a lot of physical damage. Dee was successfully genetically enhanced in the realm of speed and was trained heavily in acrobatics. Dee has some training in hand to hand combat, clearly having a knack for it but still requires training. Her history has hardened her mind; Dee is able to withstand mental attacks for above average amount of time.

History:

Born from a test tube in a laboratory, Subject 37-D was one among many who was genetically modified in the attempt to create weapons in the form of controllable humanoid soldiers. The ideal weapon would bear ungodly strength, a hardened body, heightened hearing, lightning speed, eyes that could see for thousands of kilometers, and a nose that could detect the faintest smell. The "perfect soldier" came with a price, premature death.

Subject 37-D is the product from harvesting DNA from her ancestors and inserting genetic markers to enhance and create certain mutations. Her ancestors were not born in a laboratory, rather, they were captured by a ruling kingdom during a time of war that seemed impossible to win. The kingdom strived to create weapons to protect their land and people, but the weapons needed to blend in. The Cha'tool were a common race that resembled that of a feline. Due to their preexisting feline like qualities (heightened eyesight, smell, reflexes) and commonality, the Cha'tool were perfect candidates to genetically modify into weapons. The kingdom created subjects after subjects after subjects, many were successful and went on to fight in the war, only to die by the hands of others or by reaching the end of their short life span. The unsuccessful subjects were discarded in a gruesome fashion.. except for Subject 37-D.

On the day "Dee" was scheduled to be discarded there was a power outage in the laboratory. All of the security systems went down, all doors opened, and lights went out. The backup generators illuminated an eery red hue throughout the concrete and metal corridors and Dee ran, never looking back, not thinking about those she left behind.

Emerging into the world was difficult, Dee only knew of the outside world through information that had been fed to her by the scientists conducting the modifications and performing training exercises in the facility. She struggled to assimilate, she didn't know how currency worked, how to find food, or shelter until one day a man took her under his wing after she attempted to steal food from him. Dee remembers the man as "Gray", he taught her about the new world and invited her to pursue ancient artifacts with him, never once asking about her past. It was on the day that Gray gave his life to save her from falling rubble in a ruin that she decided to return to the laboratory for answers and to free any that remained.

"If only I was complete.. I could have saved you"
