Radiance Park

Considered the jewel of Auroris, this pretty park is located at the center of the Sun Level. With its lush green grass, towering deciduous trees, and winding cobblestone paths, the park is a favorite place for couples on a romantic stroll, families, and even the occasional artist. At the center of the park is a large raised wooden platform used for performances and the annual Sun Festival. A cool breeze usually picks up slightly after dawn, making it the most popular time of day to for people to go for a stroll.

It was a simple day in Auroris, with Victor Ayre sitting at one of the many benches in the park. He has a cup of tea with him as he sits upon a bench, emptying the cup with every sip that he takes. It was a lovely day in the mind of Mr. Ayre. Birds were chirping, trees were green, sun was shining down upon them and there were people walking left and right. What a lovely day to have a break on.

Victor Ayre turns his head to the automaton stealth brute of his(@Raging Glowworm), smiling as he looks up at him. ''Well isn't it a lovely day indeed, Good old pal Sid?'' Victor asked as he smiled ever so gently that it almost counted as a smirk. He takes yet an another sip of his custom made tea taken from the local cafeteria. It was made out of freshest water and freshest leaves that a detective like him could afford by paying one third of his monthly salary.

Briar Reid - Radiance Park
Briar trailed through the park, meandering amongst the vendors who had all started to set up shop for the festival. She loved the Sun Festival. It was one of the few days she actually didn't have to do any studying; she could just walk around and explore. Unfortunately, she wasn't allowed to walk around and explore alone. Because apparently she wasn't "trustworthy" enough to wander about the festival by herself. No, she had to have her personal babysitter, Ophelia, hounding her every move. Good thing she had ditched the woman a ways back; now the real fun could start.

Briar's hair started to change color, a dark brown color starting from the roots until it spread throughout her hair, changing her from a blonde to a brunette. Hopefully this would make it harder for her tutor to spot her. Minor disguise finished, the girl went back to her exploits, scouting the vendors' stands once more. Nothing particularly interesti- Ah! When one of the vendors turned their back, Briar swiped an apple tart from the stand and walked off, a cheeky grin on her face.

Sid - Radiance Park

"Indeed it is sir," Sid replied absently. In truth, he didn't really care. But, it was the polite thing to say so he said it. He stood behind Victor at his right elbow, as was his custom; watching the foot traffic pass them. It was time for the annual Sun Festival, so the park was more crowded than usual. Sid never liked being in the park around this time. Festivals meant crowds. Crowds meant lots of people, and lots of people meant that he was going to jostled at one point or another. Sid hated being touched.
A bird fluttered from one of the near by trees and landed in front of him. It hopped around; picking up crumbs that where scattered across the cobblestone path. Then it looked up and eyed Sid. "Don't." It fluttered over and landed on his shoulder. In a quick motion Sid brushed the bird away, but the damage had been done. "Sir, might I request a handkerchief?" Sid said in a slightly exasperated tone; eyeing the mess on his shoulder. He didn't like this park at all.

Ophelia Kournova - Radiance Park

The buxom and beautiful young lady walked down through the throngs of people within Radiance Park with a rather stern look on her face. She always loved the festival as it was an opportunity to mingle with the other members of society, perhaps meeting a strapping young lad along the way. But today was to be difficult as her student, Briar, had run off once again and Ophelia needed to find her first before any mingling could begin.

As she scanned the area, she activated her emotion sensors, moving from person to person and observing how they were feeling. There was one little brunette girl who seemed particularly pleased with herself and in the mood to cause mischief. It felt very familiar and as she observed the young lady, she saw all of Briar's appearance except for her hair, which told Ophelia all she needed to know. Marching over as best she could in her heels, she grabbed the little troublemaker by the arm. "Are we having fun young lady?" She said in a disappointed tone.

Mr. V. - Radiance Park

The man in the brass mask stood on the fringes of the crowd, scanning each member of the festival. He didn't have a contract currently, but he was searching for opportunities to make some. Any offense to these nobles could warrant hiring the assassin. So Mr. V watched and waited, knowing his time would come.

Marjory Collingworth - Radiance Park
Marjory breathed deep. Today was going to be a good day. She could feel it in her bones. The sky was a gorgeous color and the park was alive with people. She loved the hustle and bustle of Radiance Park during the Sun Festival. This was her favorite time of the year. She walked briskly down one of the cobblestone paths, drinking in every sight and sound, wishing she had a photographic memory so she could preserve what she saw forever. Yes, Marjory loved the Sun Festival.

Isidro Norcross
Radiance Park

Isidro walked along the fringes of the crowd as he scanned the crowd searching for some fun. He decided that maybe he should join in with the vendors momentarily. Staying on the fringes he pulled a large case down off of his shoulders and pulled a guitar out and started strumming a tune. He thought about his band mates and wondered if they were here.

Archibald Lark- Radiance Park

Archie was excited at the start of such a lovely festival. He just loved the atmosphere, the cool wind accompanied by a warm and friendly sun as well the cheer and happiness palpable in the air. For the day Archie wore an expensive black cotton tail coat with matching black suit pants and a frilly white shirt. The young noble also noticed some amateur pickpockets in the crowd bumping into passersby which he just shook his head at Sloppy, just plain sloppy those guys will get dragged away by the constabulary for sure he though but right now Archibald the criminal wasn't here instead Archibald the bleeding heart poet surveyed the crowd for a muse.

He set his eyes on a lovely if somewhat lithe looking girl with blonde hair and radiant jeweled eyes however what caught Archie's eye was that the young lady had changed her hair when she didn't think anybody else was looking. He followed the hair changing girl who wore a face of mischief until a larger more voluptuous woman approached her with a slightly disappointed look on her face. Not really knowing what to do Archie walked near the two women and did his best to look occupied in some nearby booths while listening to their conversation.

Victor Ayre - Radiance Park
Victor chuckles at what had happened to the shoulderpad of Sid.''Oh you and your silly wit.'' He said as he reached his hand into his pocket. He took out from it a blank white handkerchief. Well... Maybe it was not so blank as it had colored lines of blue going on the corners of the handkerchief. Victor offers the handkerchief to Sid. ''Here you to, lad.'' He said, smiling.

Victor relaxes on his bench as he looks at the men and women walking around in this festival filled park.''Beautiful, isn't it? We've got people celebrating, praising the sun and doing what ever other activities in here. It's an opportunity for us. There is going to happen a lot of crime in these thick crowds and we can do our job helping people who are willing to pay us.'' He said as his eyes soon land upon one of the many ladies among the crowd, staring at her back. ''That and not all women here are ugly. Some are also pretty to stare at.'' He said, smiling. Victor then a moment later raises his head to look up at Sid, reaching his hand towards him to get the handkerchief back.''Maybe you could try enjoy the atmosphere that we have here today, mister Sid?'' He asked.

Sid – Radiance Park
“I'll do my best sir,” Sid replied as he wiped the mess off his shoulder. Of course, he'd try. He wouldn’t succeed, but he would try. His master had requested it and it was his duty to see that the request was fulfilled the best of his ability. Enjoying the atmosphere wasn’t high on Sid's list of expertise. He'd prefer not to give a bucket of bolts. But, his master’s wish was his command so, he tried his best.

After he finished cleaning his shoulder, Sid returned to studying the various people making their way through the park. He tried to look for something to comment on. There was the man walking his schnauzer across the lawn. Sid could have commented on how the two seemed to be enjoying themselves, but Sid absolutely hated dogs. They where worse than the birds. There where some children running back and forth along the path. Sid refused to comment on them. Human children where horrendous. They screeched like animals and liked to place their sticky hands all over his polished frame. This was becoming more difficult than he had anticipated.

Finally, he settled on something. He pointed across the way. “The leaves on that tree are a lovely shade of green.”

Briar Reid - Radiance Park
Briar was just about to stuff the apple tart into her mouth when she felt someone grab her arm. Scowling, she looked back to see none other than the babysitter herself. "As a matter of fact, I was. But then some spoil-sport had to go in ruin it like always."

The girl tugged on her arm a little, only to realize that Ophelia wasn't going to let her go quite that easily. Instead, she took a bite of the tart, doing her best to look defiant, although it was admittedly hard to eat a tart with any kind of malice. "It's vacation," she said through a mouthful of crumbs, "why you always have to walk around with a stick up your butt?"

Victor Ayden - Radience Park
Victor was just staring at the people surrounding them, with all of their fancy dresses and suits ranging from one side to the other. They were all wearing some colorful clothes, while he wore simple brown trench coat and a bowler hat. The hat was atleast successful at blocking the sun from hitting his eyes directly. He is happy about seeing others so happy and careless. So many of them can possibly become his future clients after this event, because thieves have ease in thick crowds like these, anyway. His eyes were soon fixed upon one of the numerous ladies wearing a red and black dress with corset and all of that. He stared at her dress and eyed up and down her body. The dress was modest luckily. It did cover her ankles, after all. He thinks about approaching the lady to chat and so on.

When Sid talked about trees he snapped back to the reality, looking up at Sid and then at the trees that he pointed at. Victor chuckles. ''Oh come on, mr. Sid. There must be certainly something more fancy than just trees. Like clothes of the other people or the noise created by all of the people's voices. Hell, you are tall so you could see something out of ordinary among the people or even other metal brothers that you may find.'' Victor said, smiling at Sid.

Ophelia Kournova - Radiance Park

Ophelia just sighed at Briar's defiance, she wasn't in the mood to deal with her antics today, but decided to power through it nonetheless. "You can have some fun today, Briar, but not when you're out of my sight. This festival is sure to be full of thieves and petty criminals who could be looking for a noble girl to abduct and ransom. As the woman your parents put in charge of you, I simply cannot allow that to happen. This 'stick' up my bum is there to ensure that you don't do anything foolish."

Sid - Radiance Park
"I find your voice pleasant, sir." Sid replied shortly. Really, this was getting ridiculous. He didn't find anything pleasant and it was difficult pretending that he did. "Did you want participate in any of the festival's activities sir?" He hoped this would stare off any more commentary on the surroundings.

Victor Ayre - Radiance Park

Victor chuckles at Sid's comment. Mostly due to how it could be heard as a bad pick up line or a compliment. ''Sorry,'' Victor started as he faces up at Sid. ''I don't think I ordered you to flirt with me, Sid. Besides, you're too manly to be my type.'' He said as he looks off at the crowd again. ''Well, do you happen to remember what different activities there were in this festival, again?'' He decided to ask while sitting there and sipping from his tea cup that was almost completely empty by now.

Sid - Radiance Park
Sid looked through his notebook. He always listed the events before every festival. "There are some musicians playing over there." He pointed to his left while still looking at his notepad. "There is the main event at the center of the park. I would suggest we get a seat early for that." He flipped to the next page in his not book. "And there are some jugglers and a couple of dancers nearby." He snapped the notebook shut. "I believe that is it." He noted Victor's empty cup. "More tea sir?"

Victor Ayre - Radiance Park
Victor chuckles at what was said. ''Music and dancers? I appreciate cultural activities,'' Victor said as he slowly begun to stands up while holding from the empty cum.''Especially those two.'' He finally continued and then looked up towards Sid. He reaches out his hand and then offers the tea cup to Sid.''Sure, lad. Go ahead and fill it up with some more tea. You'll find me where the musicians and dancers are.'' He said. Once Sid took the tea cup Victor sets course through the crowds in search of the festivities mentioned.

Leonard sat on a park bench, watching the world go by. As much as he hated everything the sun level stood for, he couldn't deny that this place was amazing. He liked to come to the park when he needed to unwind, and he could do it while wearing just a cap instead of the normal hood. After all, who expects a wanted criminal in Radiance park of all places?

As he sat there enjoying the light breeze and a kebab he had purchased earlier from a vendor, he enjoyed the feeling of not having to worry or think about potential enemies. Sure there were a bunch of Demi scum hanging around, but it wasn't as if he could, or even wanted to, cause a scene.

Looking at the sun in the sky, Leonard figured he had about... half an hour to go before he needed to find wherever Michael had gone make himself scarce. People would be showing up soon and with them a chance that e could be seen.

Sid - Radiance Park

"Yes sir," Sid wove his way through the crowded park, and back to the cafeteria. After ordering a second cup, he made his way back through the park towards the center. He passed a man in a cap sitting on one of the benches, enjoying a kebab. Why humans chose to eat their food off of sticks, rather than plates like they normally did, baffled Sid. But then again, they where humans one could never understand their behavior unless you where one of them. But it wasn't the kebab that caught Sid's attention. It was the fact that the man kept the cap low over his face. It was one thing to wear a hat to keep the sun off of your head. It was another to hide your face with it. Sid made a mental note about it. That man could be up to no good. He continued on his way, in search of Victor.

Briar Reid - Radiance Park
Briar rolled her eyes and yanked her arm away. "What idiot would kidnap someone in a place as public as this?" she argued. "And besides, I think I'm smart enough to not get kidnapped, thanks." Her hair then gradually changed its color back to blonde again. Briar had run off to explore the Moon Level on multiple occasions, and had yet to come across a situation she couldn't handle. At least, nothing that a good sprint couldn't take care of. Either Ophelia didn't know about that, or she had forgotten. Regardless, Briar wasn't too keen on reminding her.
