Lwai blinked, a the static in his vision fading once the fighting stopped, and colors besides red returned as well. Having been quiet for a long time, the Prince glanced to where Verius had been, then to where Artorius and Velvet had been blankly. Sighing, he frowned as he rubbed his arm. "It seems a little too much to have let him die." He muttered, but there was nothing to be done. Following Ms. Frizzle, he perked up.

"A bus?" He tilted his head curiously. He never rode one, plus he could pilot his own mech, so in some cases he would never need to. In his home universe, anyway.

Will outstretched her palm out to the side and fired aall of the energy she had gathered from Velvet, dispelling all negative energy from her body. The Quintessence flowed through her arm and crackled into a ball of energy.

The Keeper herself was unscathed, and if she had any thoughts on Velvet and Artorious, it was that the man deserved his fate.

"Hmph. He died as he lived." she spat darkly.

Komaru groaned, still reeling from the absolute truckload of information and crazy action she had been subjected to. She turned to Toko and managed a small smile, though it was a sad one. "Good thing you didn't either, Toko," she said. She hooked her arm around Toko's and leaned against her. "I'm so tired now! And hungry! If the multiverse is going to become unbalanced, we really need to get home!"

Mikleo was about as lost for words as Alisha was. He was checking on Sorey, who at least seemed okay despite Will's attack knocking him out. "I don't really know," he said to Alisha. "I'm sorry. I guess... Commander Xehanort knows more than I do." He looked to the man, hoping for answers like Remy.

"Perhaps we should not be so quick to judge the man," Xehanort said, stroking his beard. "I believe his intentions were noble at heart, just ultimately misguided. He had caused enough damage by killing the Great Spirit that resided here, we simply could not allow him to do further damage. It is not the Coalition's desire to execute men, but I truly believed he would have fought us until his dying breath today, regardless of our intentions."

"But... but what was he trying to do?!" Leia asked, wiping sweat from her brow. She was regretting making this her first mission back on her feet.

"If there is evil in this world, it lurks in the hearts of man." Xehanort sighed at his own statement, though he sounded like he had been quoting someone. "You must know what this means. The source of malevolence is not some unknown presence, it is us. The only true way to eliminate malevolence for good is to suppress humanity itself."

Mikleo thought about this, though found himself confused. "Suppress humanity...?"

"What makes any of us living, but our ability to feel? Tragedy, despair, love, and joy, no emotion could be left standing. This was an outcome we could not allow."

Mikleo stood to his feet and crossed his arms. "So what you're saying is that, while Verius' death could mean trouble, it could have been even worse?"

"... Relatively speaking."

Suddenly, a whistle rang out. The source had been Ms. Frizzle, who was waving her hands for everyone to come toward her. "Come on, everyone!" she yelled. "We've had a very long day and it is about time I got you all home! None of us certainly can take the Great Spirit's place, so it's best we leave that for others to figure out!"

"Indeed," Xehanort said, clasping his hands behind his back. "As far as the Coalition is aware, no mortal being can survive in this place, let alone take over for the Great Spirit. I do not know how Artorius planned to go about this, but I am afraid we must leave the Heart of the Multiverse empty for now. The multiverse is likely not to collapse immediately, at least not with other Great Spirits safeguarding it."

"Come on!" Ms. Frizzle was trying to direct everyone back outside. "Once we get back to the portal, we can take a ride on the school bus. I hope none of you will forget your seatbelts!"

@Lucky @Hahli Nuva @Ver @Jeremi @Takumi @Yun Lee @Gummi Bunnies @York @MelodyMeister
Will had @Raynardown from her 'rage' mode and had gave the place where Verius stood one last glance. She didn't believe Xehanort's words, but at least he managed to convey his thoughts without trying to kill everyone. That being said, he mentioned a 'Coalition' of sorts. That had caught her attention and was something worth looking into.

The Keeper walked up to Xehanort, placing a hand on his shoulder. "Wait. I heard you mention something about a Coalition. I'd like to know more."

Maple stared at once the great spirit was, with a visibly upset expression. Artorius had used violence to deal with a sensitive issue. The wind hit her, and she had to block her face and stay still lest she fell over. When she opened her eyes, she saw the fight scene, and although she didn’t like Artorius’s potential intention, she couldn’t let the daemon be near such a place either.

But she couldn’t do anything, she had nothing but a gun.
Maple just stared at the fight, and her eyes betrayed no sense of sadness for them when they died, only slight melancholy.

Two competent people, gone. Leaving their purposes unfulfilled. And for what? Long ago, The woman would have felt sadness, but now, she could only understand the other’s sadness through a mechanical mindset. To her, this trip was nothing but annoying, and once again, more people died then necessary.

Seeing the strange teacher directing everyone outside, Maple followed her. There wasn’t anything left here, not even a body. But her ears peaked up at Will’s question. She was thinking the same.

“A Coalition, everyone has been using term for a bit now. So it’s like the ISPP, right? Oh, you wouldn’t know who they would be. Sorry. So, it’s a uh, organise-tion that protects the universe and beyond, right?”

Schala Zeal
@Lucky @Hahli Nuva @Ver @Jeremi @Takumi @Yun Lee @Gummi Bunnies @Atomic Knight @MelodyMeister

As Xenahort spoke, Schala raised her head... Clearly understanding what Xenahort meant. Though, something occurred to her, something that caused a look of fear to cross her face.

"What if someone told Artorius they could take Verius' place. That they would eliminate malevolence from our Universe for him." She said... Pausing for a moment as she began to process her own words.

"Maybe their goal was to suppress humanity... To take away all that we are, and Artorius was their pawn to do that..." She added, her brow furrowing as she considered the implications behind this.

Shaking her head, she headed to the schoolbus... Now deep in thought. She would have to look into what may have gone on with Artorius, do a little investigation within the Coalition itself. There were so many questions after all of this was over, questions that she needed answered.

More importantly, she had promised herself she would prevent something like this, a destabilization of the delicate balance the world... No... The multiverse as a whole needed to exist. She wouldn't allow another place to succumb to the very thing she almost did.

Raising her head to stare out at the void beyond the portal one last time.

"I promise. I will restore balance... Some way... Somehow..." She said quietly, to no-one in particular.

Perhaps the vow was to the multiverse itself, and whatever beings still remained to keep things in order after Verius' demise. All she could hope for is that they could find a solution... A way to repair all that was done here, before it was too late.

Then, she quietly moved towards Ms. Frizzle, eyeing the portal they had come through. It was time to return home... For them at least, and with any luck... They wouldn't have too much trouble on the way out.

❝ Very WELL. ❞ Dlanor nodded as she went to follow those out, seeing as there was no other reason to stick around in this place any longer. For an exploration mission, the report of this incident to the Metaworld would be a lengthy one. Not that Dlanor minded it, it was a part of her duty, as much as she slightly disliked paperwork. She could only hope that the work she was doing amounted to something.

Xehanort regarded Will and Maple with an appraising look. Their confusion over what the Coalition was seemed to amuse him as much as it vexed him. "Essentially, yes, it is a group made to combat threats against the multiverse," he said to them. "They are not in a position to take new recruits if that is your concern, however..."

Xehanort stroked his beard, thinking. He was looking at Will in particular now. "Your strength could be useful to us, but perhaps you would be better off speaking to the MEU. They are a subdivision with a focus on magic. I will refer you once we are out of this place."

Will nodded, smiling lightly at the man. He seemed to havea noble heart, but Will could sense that there was something more behind his words. That being said, she had more important things to deal with.

"Thank you. I appreciate the offer."

Nathan Drake

Nathan sighed and waited for the bus to arrive. He didn't feel that this was the right move to do, but it seemed to be a choice. Maybe he could make some money off of the non-glowing trinket he had gotten from the ruins. It wasn't like this brought him any closer to finding out who he was. Maybe one day, Nathan Drake would remember his past, but that day was not today, it seemed. When the bus arrived, he would board it.

Maple nodded with a smile. She gave a bow out of courtesy, and the former uncaring woman that was there before turned back into that proper lady at the start of the mission.
“Thank you for the information. It is quite similar to a branch of a organisation, that protects my own multiverse from mainly reality benders. After this trip, I’ll prefer not to come back.”

Giving a posh wave to Xeonhart, Maple then went walked into that strange bus that claimed to ring them back up. She preferred not to use her power this time.

Eddie took in a deep breath of that smog filled Ashen Front air.

This was his new home now. After hitching a ride on that UN VTOL and feeding on the 'criminals' there, Eddie made his way into The Outer City, where he heard all sorts of criminals lurked. As he approached the local bar, (Moonlight or something like that) he couldn't help but smirk. These criminals and evil bastards were going to get the justice they so switfly deserved.

He ignored the titilating alien women eyeing him up and down like he was a prime slab of meat. He would be sure to incite their services for later use. Upon entering the Moonlight bar, he could see the usual scum hanging out and drinking, telling jokes or lewd stories about their sexual exploits. Eddie took a seat at the bar and ignored the eyes of a few off duty Coalition soldiers.

"Strawberry Sunrise. No ice. And give me one of those little umbrellas."

His voice was gruff and low, as if he didn't care about the world and only his own self interests. But he cared. He had always knew this planet was a hive for darkness and hate. The Symbiote had been drawn here, promising him years of justice and peace. He had obliged it, like a good puppet. But then again, who really was the puppet? Th eman? Or the alien?

The busty bartender whipped his drink up and slid him the glass, which he took a small sip of. As he enjoyed his refreshment, a couple of drunk UN Troopers sauntered up to him, clearly not in their right state of mind.

"H-Hey. Lookee here, boys! We gots ourselfs a fresh meat!"

The drunk man's friends chuckled as the man continued to be an anoyance, poking and prodding Eddie, dancing around him like a complete idiot.

Okay. That's enough.

Faster than anyone could blink, Eddie used his powers to make a black tendril and smack the man in the chest with enough force to make him fly through the wall. The rest of the bar went silent, and even the jukebox was stopped. Eddie slapped a couple of credits down on the bar and winked at the bartender, who had a shocked look on her face. Eddie took one deep breath and closed his eyes.

It was time to play.

With a loud roar, Eddie soon turned into a hulking black beast with a white spider emblem on his chest and back. He grew five times his size and height, gaining black alien flesh all over his body. Most of the other bar patrons were stil drunk, but those that were sober enough to realize what had happened whipped out their firearms, pistols and laser guns to fire at Eddie no, VENOM.

When they found that their blasts had little effect, the bar patrons shouted and ran in to beat Venom to death for daring to interrupt their night. Sadly, all they'd hear was one final sentence before their grisly end.

"Aaaahh! It is SO good to FINALLY be free..."

And thus, the slaughter began. Venom used his claws to tear through body after body, rendering armor and any protections useless. Blood and sinew rained everywhere as Venom cut down thug after thug, ignoring their cries for mercy. They didn't show others mercy, so why should they be granted it?

Venom fed on their brains and flesh, shredding through their skin with his teeth. He was in heaven, dealing out true justice to the filthy criminal underworld of Ash. If anyone would hear the cries of the damned, they could come investigate, but it would be at their peril....

Entering the bar rather calmly, was a woman. Tall, blonde, and a warrior at heart, the woman who was more beast than human didn't so much as blink at the carnage before her. A Coalition agent that came of her own violation to the Outer City for something to do until needed by any superiors stationed here, she was going to simply pass by the bar, until a roar and the sound of carnage reached sensitive ears.

Silver eyes did a quick sweep of the room, before landing on the source of the blood and gore. Not outwardly impressed nor frightened, the woman found some similarities to the beast known as Yoma in her world.

Walking forward calmly, she motioned for any innocent bystanders to leave-if capable anyway. Silver never leaving the odd form before her that was once Eddie, she didn't say a word, simply watched him carefully.

"That's enough." Stopping just a foot away, she spoke bluntly. She wasn't one for mincing words or beating around the bush, her former Partner-wherever the man had gone-had once noted that she was straight to the point.

Venom eyed Clare warily, well, as much as his 'eyes' could allow. Whatever bystanders remained scurried out of the bar, mostly being the women and prostitutes. This left the two warriors alone and free to confront one another.

Venom's long red tongue slithered out and ran across his black lips, revealing bloodstained razor sharp fangs. A beaten UN Soldier weakly looked up at Clare with a pleading expression on his face, only for Venom to crush his spine by stomping on the man's back, cracking his armor like an eggshell. The Lethal Protector dug his claws into the soldier's spine and hoisted him up with one hand, chucking him to his left and sending the dead trooper crashing through another table.

Venom spoke thusly to Clare, in his raspy, alien voice that sent chills down men's spines.

"Ahhh.... Fresh meat? And what a shapely, succulent slice! Hmm. I assure you, these victims deserved true justice...."

Silver eyes glanced down to the beaten soldier. Moving to help him up, her eyes shot back to Venom as he ended the man's life shortly after.

"Any attempts at attacking me will end in failure. From the looks of it you've killed UN soldiers, which I won't take lightly." She spoke, hand going to the handle of her sword.

The Claymore's silver eyes turned gold and cat like, face becoming a bit more monstrous than before with dark veins appearing and her teeth becoming razor sharp, as she moved quickly, long blade coming down diagonally at Venom's chest. Her gaze remaining cold towards Venom. She wouldn't aim to kill the man, but he wouldn't leave out of here without at least some bruising most likely.

Venom roared and met Clare head on, simply using his arms to block her blade. The sword buried itself deep into his raised arm, but Venom didn't seem to take the slightest bit of damage. Instead, he used his free arm to blast Clare's chest with webbing and attempt to pull her forwards, hopefully forcing her to lose control of her sword and land right in the middle of Venom's knee strike.

"Come now, girly! Let's have some fun!"

"Well! There goes the neighborhood!"
268

A voice called from above, echoing from beneath a titanium helmet. What followed was a flurry of muttered curse words, the specific direction of which was drowned by the growing hum of rocket boosters. With a tap of his temple, the mask crawled back into his neckpiece, to reveal the charming, barely-a-day-over-thirty facade of a Mr.Tony Stark, a glint in his eye that could only be described in one word; smug.

"Jesus... I say that as if there was a neighborhood to begin with... To think some of you assholes really call this shit-pit home..."

Was he a rational man, Tony would have simply kept flying. He had people to bribe and places to be, and the last thing he needed with a symbiote-meets-swordsman style distraction. And yet part of him- that little flicker of 'decency' that stuck out above the sea of poor decisions that made up his character- urged him to interfere. It called for him to play the hero for once and take responsibility for the streets he would one day own.

Well, he still had 5 minutes with which he could indulge his heroic instinct before he was late for his meeting with the mayor. Who knows? Maybe cleaning up the back alleys might prove beneficial for local business... and what was good for Ash was good for its landlord.

"Jesus Christ" Tony muttered, preparing one of the sonic pulse generators he had tucked away in his suit for cases such as thing "Ya know what Eddie? I really don't have time for this. Go crawl back into whatever hovel you crawled out of and we'll call it a day. Maybe I'll even extra feel nice and sponsor your next term at 'Cannibals Anonymous'. Sound fair?"

As Tony landed, did his best to catch Clare's silver eyes with his own.

"Hey, darling" He teased, throwing a wink in her general direction. Pepper had always told him that his 'charm' was his greatest weapon, and it was about time he deployed it. He considered it crowd control; once Eddie graciously handed himself into authorities, he would be the one in charge of defusing the rest of the situation. Perhaps he'd even help the UN with the cover-up, for the right money. "Now, who told you I liked women in armor? Because I don't know whether you're trying to coordinate with me, or whether great minds just think alike, but this can't just be a coincidence"

Clare grunted at the knee to the stomach, a bit of blood leaving her mouth. Her grip on her sword tightened and there was a moment when the muscles in her sword arm flexed and became more pronounced, though her free hand clenched into a fist, and-

WHAM!

Would, hopefully, slam into Venom's jaw. Pulling her sword out of his arm, she would hop back, intending to remove the webbong from her chest and attack afain when interrupted.

"I am not your darling." She stated bluntly, before swinging her arm at fast enough speeds to render it and her sword invisible to the naked eye, the wind being the only visible thing. Though Windcutter was used to quickly cut enemies down with thicker skin she was using it more in hopes of just cutting into the joints of Venom's arms to incapacitate him. Turning her head to Tony, she would make one thing clear and to the point.

"I'm with someone, so if you're trying to woo me, you're wasting your time." But hey, if Tony wanted to keep trying he was free to do so, didn't mean Clare would give him the time of day. In all honesty, it was still odd to be treated so...differently no matter the world she was on. Be it Rapture under the sea, the Torch, or here.

Venom promptly responded to the arrrogant rich boy with a blast of webbing from his wrist. Clare's punch had knocked him off balance, but he quickly recovered and absorbed the damage.

"Ahhh. I needed some iron in my diet! Nobody will miss you, Stark!"

Venom tore a large chunk of concrete from the ground and chucked it at Tony, while spraying Clare with ropes of white, sticky webbing.

"Oh, such cutting words!" Tony cried, placing a tin hand over his cold, electric heart. "I might just draw a tear...If I didn't know any better, I'd say you're trying to push me away without giving me chance; how about I change your mind over a bottle of Champers once we've finished with this... extermination job"

"Hm... yeah, technically it's a symbiotic titanium ally, but sure. Simplify it. Call it 'Iron'. Whatever" With a wave of his arm, a precision mining laser split the chuck of concrete down the middle, allowing the two shards of earth skid and scrape along the alley behind him. Before he could even complain about the scratched and stains, the MK50 had already fixed, polished and buffed itself into a state that was somehow greater than it had been before "I've told you once already; I don't have time for this shit. Hate to break it to you, buddy, but you're looking at Times Magazine's Man of the Year 3 years running. I've got girls cuddling their pillows thinking of me worldwide. Hell, I've handed out my number in bars in space. People miss me when I drop off the radar to take a piss... but you? The moment I burn that latex catsuit off your body, you'll be yesterday's news. Carnage. Toxin. Hybrid. Lasher. Mania. You disappear, a dozen other symbiots rise up the ranks to take your place. You're nothing but a washed up tabloid journalist, Eddie" He charged up a sonic disrupter charge in his palm, the vibrations leaking across the alley with a metronomic hum "Say hi to your mother for me, Brock. I'm sure she can't wait to see her darling Angel in hell"

Over the years, Venom had learned to fight past his weaknesses. The symbiote held, even as Stark's attack lashed sound waves against its body.

"You are a fool, Stark! A breakable man inside a metal can. Men like you are the reason humanity is dying! Hoe DARE you mention those pathetic excuses for Symbiotes and compare them to me!? They ar enothing! WE created them! WE are stronger! WE will be the protector mankind needs! Not YOU or any of your pampered, spoiled brats!"

The creature attempted to fire a tentacle to shoot out and wrap itself along Tony's leg just as his other hand formed a shield to block the soundwaves to the best of his ability.

"Again, you're understating it when you call it 'metal'. Jesus Christ, Eddie. For someone who eats lots o' brains, you seem to lack any of your own" Tony anticipated Venom having moved beyond his natural vulnerabilities. Hell, he wouldn't have lasted as long as he had. He had heard of stories from way back in the 90s of thugs escaping humanities 'lethal protector' by flashing lighters in the freak's face or even just triggering a fire alarm to cover their escape. Regardless, Tony still prided himself in managing to train his own Symbiot to surpass its weaknesses in a much shorter time; Venom's evolution had taken years, while MK50's evolution had taken 15 minutes once he had plugged in into the mainframe. Based on stats alone, Tony's suit was the superior symbiote, growing to be far more than a 'metal can'. In terms Eddie might understand, Venom was to Tony what Lasher was to him; a weaker, inferior model, defunct in all ways beyond simple aesthetics. Besides, black was last season's thing.

"Alright, Big Guy" Tony muttered, letting Venom wrap a tentacle around his ankle "Extend yourself right around my jet boots" He temporarily shut down his suit's heat regulators, allowing his externals to triple in temperature. Even without the creature's natural vulnerability to heat, the steam leaking from his shins was enough to make even the man under the suit flinch in pain. "See what I meant about the whole brains thing? There's no use in fighting it, Eddie. My suit outclasses yours. It's simple math from here on out. Super genius backed up by a supercomputer inside a living super tank Vs. some breadline power junkie who knew how to snap a few photos and was in the right place at the right time to get superpowers. One of us is special, and the other's luck ran out when he couldn't even outclass Spiderman. Need I say more?"

Venom growled internally. Eddie was still protected somewhat, but this rich arrogant bastard had to be put down. Biting through the pain, enforced by sheer force of will, Venom used his superhuman stregnth to attempt to swing Tony into the desheveled and destroyed bar, hoping to knock him down a few pegs.

"Spout all the nonsense you want, Stark. You'll always be that soulless, arrogant prick. You don't know what it's like to suffer!"
