Chronicles of The Omniverse Archived Rain of the Night's Character Profiles.

Known Name: Rayn
Real Name: Ray’toni DeSilva.

Age: 32
Race: Human
Nationality: Orlesia

Occupation: Hired Assassin / Creature Hunter

Wanted for: Multiple Murders of Nobility / Lack of Mage Guild’s Seal

Rumours: Murder of Holy Entities and Cooperation with Unholy entities / Summoning of Void related forces

General Appearance: The man stands a little above six feet tall, with the average build of human being around the regions of Aelora. Most would find him rather indistinguishable to any other member of society; he had gentle blue eyes, and dark, straight brown hair he keeps neatly tied into a ponytail. His facial traits, often show signs of fatigue and ware from whatever life experiences he has been through. Even looking straight into his gentle eyes shows hint of something much darker within. Always cleanly shaved, it’s a wonder if he can even grow a beard. He otherwise shows no other physical signs of being anything but the typical human man.

Notable Talents:

- Non-Regulated Magic; Omissa Amilius: This is the single most widely known fact about Rayn and why the Inquisition and other Organizations are after him. Omissa Amilius is a complex form of magic research by a select few individuals outside of the Mage’s Guild. Most who know the world of Magic would simply call it ‘Banishment Magic’. Its principal is simple; it doesn’t belong to this world? Send it back from whence it came. What this means to what can be done with it isn’t completely understood, even to those who know of Omissa Amilius. It seems to hold many capacities on sending back outsiders, many anti-magic properties and a few ritualistic spells that permit permanent banishment and other effects still widely unknown to the mages guild.

- Assassin by Trade, Mercenary at Heart: Rayn had been an obscure assassin hired only by those who care not who they deal with, or by those who need horrid creatures dealt with. This comes to give him competencies that are split in two. He is a skilled tracker for anything he is hired to do, but is more specialized in dealing swift blows to humanoids and toughing out combat against creatures of twisted or grand origin.

- Escape Artist: The latest acquisition of his skillset, the man knows how to get out of a tight space. Rather it be shackles or manacles, ropes, barred rooms and so forth, you give Rayn time and he’ll find the time to escape.

Notable Equipment:

- Laminas Restrictionist: This hand-and-a-half sword were an experiment Rayn had been able to keep after the initial disbandment of those who researched Omissa Amilius. The rune-inscribed blade held enchantments which held special properties; the most notable one is the wielder is unable to use any source of magic or supernatural powers while wielding it. Worse yet, it gives those who are not used to wielding it a discomforting feeling of their magic or powers being remove from them until they let go of it. Further upon that, it hold a special immunity to magic, exception being Omissa Amilius. When striking someone with its edge, it prevents magical and supernatural healing from working upon themfor a short period of time, as well as disrupting any current magic being used by the wounded one or onto the wound one.

- Pugionem de Exsilio: These set of daggers work in the exact same function as that of the Laminas Restrictionist, with the only exception that they work only a single time. Once they are used to wound someone, their magic dissipates and they become nothing but regular daggers.

- Sin Luxuria: Given his familiar ties with the world beyond that of mortals, he carries a variety of charms and wards on his person to protect him against many powers and magic that might come to harm him. It is not to say that magic powerful enough won’t harm him, but Rayn is always ready for anything to come his way.
