Best food around!

Kirina hummed softly as she stepped up to the ramen shop. She had heard that her beloved Hyuga girls were training and figured they would be needing lunch soon. After all Hikari nearly always forgot to bring lunch when she went training. She flashed her award winning smile as her blue eyes danced with merriment as she bowed slightly in greeting to the person behind the counter, “I need to order 3 ramen meals to go, please,” She chimed sweetly, “One naruto, one curry, and the last tuna.

She ran a hand through her long black hair as she sat down on a bar stool. Her headband hung about her neck in a lazy fashion. Kirina was dressed in a simple pastel yellow yukata over steel a steel plated corset. Loose black hakama were tucked into knee high black boots. It was hard to see the Uchiha symbol on the back of her yukata as it was hidden mostly by her long hair. She hummed softly as she waited for her meals.

Gōon nods at the customer’s order, smiling politely at the fellow ninja as he retreated back into the kitchen, having not seen a clan marker on her. “One Naruto, Curry and Tuna coming right up!” He calls out behind him as he gathered he ingredients. The broth and noodles for the dishes were ready to go, sitting in their massive containers as they were, but the rest he would be making by hand. Grabbing a knife, he gets to work silently chopping and slicing with precision.

He liked Ichiraku’s. He had decided this a while back when he first helped the old man out in the store. The place was... cozy, and had a welcoming feeling to it. Sure it was a popular ninja hotspot, but he could deal with that if it was for the old man, who had asked him a few days ago to cover for him as he went on a small trip. He didn’t tell Gōon where to, but the Jounin didn’t mind.

Putting the finishing touches on the ramen, he uses a quick seal to heat them back up again to just above the perfect temperature and places them in the plastic containers used for To Go orders. Hopefully they would cool down just a little as the woman heads to wherever she was going.

Leaning back over the counter he places the three sealed plastic tubs on top of it, addressing the customer. “That’ll be 1800 yen. Would you like a bag?” He asks her pleasantly enough, putting in a conscious effort to restrain his usual glare. He had been told it scared away customers.

It was a great day for Shikao. Finally graduated as a full fledged shinobi and he had a full day off to play with his wolf pup. Yamiyo. The pair spent their day running along the rooftops, leaping from roof to roof with skill and grace to practice their coordination. They spent their morning playing together, along with a few of his fellow graduates, as they enjoyed their day off.

Shikao and his ninken were playing with their friends when both of their stomachs suddenly rumbled. The duo looked at each other, knowing the Ramen shop was just down the street. Shikao smirked as Yamiyo gave a wide grin. A shared thought passed between them as they seemed to get ready to sprint.

"
READY? SET! GOOOOOOOOOOO!" yelled Shikao. Both of them took off at a dead sprint as they raced down the street. The two weaved in and out of the crowded street as they raced. A few times Shikao used his Shadow Jump Technique to dodge entire groups, though a few times he bumped into people. "MOOOOOOOOOOOOVE!" he yelled as he kept on sprinting. Wishing to get out of the busy street, Shikao jumped into the air and lands on the roof of the buildings lining the streets. He leaps from rooftop to rooftop, spinning and flipping like a flippin' ninja as he uses parkour to quickly make his way towards the shop.

The race was close as Yamiyo sprints along the ground and Shikao runs along rooftops. Yamiyo pants with a wide smile as he looks to be in first as he gets towards the overhang opening of the shop. The dog leaps, HES GONNA WIN.

Suddenly the dog gets grabbed mid-air as Shikao leaped into the opening.

The two in the shop had no warning as they hear "INCOMING!" followed by a kid sailing through the air. The kid arcs through the air and lands perfectly on the stool in front of the counter. The kid comes to a complete stop with a flabbergasted and befuddled wolf puppy in his lap. The dog looks dizzy as Shikao says "Two large servings of miso ramen with roasted pork fillet" followed by a smile.

The Ramen shop owners would know this kid as a regular customer.

Peaceful times never seemed to last for the odd Uchiha as she handed over the yen and said yes to the bag. She leaned lazily against the counter just as she heard a loud shout only to sit straight up and her Sharingan to become active as she twisted to look at who entered. Her eyes were not blue anymore but red with twin tomoe circling quickly around her pupils.

Damnit, kid,” She muttered as she realized who it was. Ah yes, she would be teaching this little one starting tomorrow and it would seem fate was up to her own ways in throwing him in her path early. Sighing she ran a hand through her hair and deactivated her eyes, “Hurry and eat then follow along,

It wasn’t often Kirina was stern sounding. In fact this child likely knew that from all the times she visited the Hyuga girls at the academy for lunch or what not. He seemed to have caught her on a bad day even if she was smiling sweetly at him.

“You.” Muttered Gōon as Shikao arrived in a hurry, glare back in full force at the clan kid who thought he could just come screaming through here like he owned the damn place, proud at beating a small dog in a race. He didn’t know the brat personally, but he’d been around before and he suspected he was some sort of constant customer.

His mood wasn’t helped by the fact that he had noticed the switch between eyes of his customer. You generally do When bright blue suddenly turns stark red. Of course she was an Uchiha. Why wouldn’t she be? There goes his good mood. Hello annoyance, good to see you again.

Stalking back into the kitchen with with huff, he let out some of his disappointment at not finding another baseborn upon the poor vegetables, working fast and employing a little Jutsu to speed up the process. It was best the kid ate then left, because Gōon wasn’t sure he could hold back from putting the little guy in his place if he caused another ruckus.

Hearing them up to perfect temperature, the man placed both bowls on the on the counter before looking expectantly at the kid. “That’s a 1100 Yen. Salts are to your right. You want some dried seaweed? Goes well with the pork broth.” He says simply. It wouldn’t do for a Jounin to be antagonistic towards a kid after all, and even if he disliked clan members he wasn’t going to be too big of a douche.

Just a little grumpy really.

Kirina blinked at the near growl in the man’s voice as he spoke to Shikao. There were a few things that got under her skin but she let it pass as she felt the shift in the once pleasant atmosphere. It was likely her eyes she realized slightly.

Most people were nice to her till for some reason or another they found out she was Uchiha. Everyone seemed to have a bone with the clan they needed to pick. It made her feel a little sick to her stomach. Was this what Itachi-nee meant when he said no one would ever really understand what they lived with?

She smiled flatley at the Nara boy and paid for his ramen without his asking. She figured the more she made it clear she wasn’t like the clan it would sink in eventually. Honestly she would have attempted to get rid of her eyes if it weren’t for the fact she would be marked as a traitor and slain for it and the simple fact she feared having fingers near her eyes. She leaned on the counter waiting for Shikao and Yamiyo to finish eating.

Shikao paused a second as the man growls. Instantly he goes into threat defense mode and takes in his surroundings. Within a few seconds, he took note of every shadow in the room and analyzes his options in case this situation gets out of hand. Kiri would reconize the kid was going on the defensive. Even Yamiyo looks as fierce as the cute pupper could be, his fangs showing as he quietly growls.

However the man quickly exits to the kitchen, and the duo calm down. Shikao had noticed the Uchiha eyes earlier, and then turns to the unknown woman. "Hi!" he smirks "I noticed your eyes, Sharingan right? Those are pretty handy dojutsu."
HE gets cut off by the man returning with his ramen. Shikao does a small bow as Kiri pays for his food. "Thank you ma'am! I dont care what others say, you Uchiha are cool in my book!"

Shikao and the pup both wolf (heh) down the food with vigor, being hungry after a morning of playing. Despite the hostility the man displayed from earlier, Shikao stood up and bowed gracefully "Thank you for the ramen, sir!" before turning to run out the door.... likely to be stopped by Kiri.... to Shikao's annoyance.

Grunting in reply, Gōon goes back to leaning against the counter, lazily making the seal for the shadow clone jutsu. Behind him, two more copies of the man appeared in a puff of smoke and immediately set to work cleaning dishes and maintaining the temperature of the soup broth.

Watching as the brat walked away, he had to wonder if it was an insult that he fed the food to a dog. Then again, the Inuzuka clan dogs are probably the only thing he liked out of any clans, so he let it pass. Maybe he should get a dog? He was pretty sure the Inuzuka only give them to members of the clan, which would require marrying one (something he wasn’t going to do just to get a dog. If he was going to marry a woman, she would be something extraordinary), so maybe just a regular dog.

As his mind wandered off, thinking about the differences between regular dogs and Inuzuka ones and how he could convince them to let his learn Japanese as well, Gōon sits down at the concealed seat behind the counter, resting his face in his hands as his once grumpy expression cleared into a bored look as he watched the two other ninja in the room.

The female hummed slightly at the man who accepted her coin. She wasn’t in the mood really for making any fuss about his attitude and how it didn’t play well with the shop he worked in currently. The Ramen shop’s owner may not be pleased with such information when he returned from his travels, but that wasn’t her problem she supposed.

Nara,” She called as the boy finished his meal and hopped off the stool to run and play, “Come with me for now. I have somethings I will need to discuss with you but we need to go get someone else as well.”

With that she lead the boy and his dog out of the shop without a backward glance at the man behind the counter.
