All players are allowed, and even encouraged to help build up the worlds within the omniverse. Players wanting their own areas may request them here. If approved, the requested thread(s) will be added.
To go about this, simply shoot Tiko a PM with the following information. If you require multiple locations at once, please only send one request for the parent location, but include a list of names and descriptions for all of the interior locations being requested in the same PM.
- The title of your thread location.
- What existing location will this place be going inside of.
- What are the names of some players who will be involved in generating RP in the new location?
- Will your location require additional threads for interior locations? If so list them.
- A thorough description of the location to serve as the first post of the thread location, and to be placed in the description tab. This should also include any information you might want to make public knowledge regarding the location.
Here's a short list of things that may get your requested location rejected outright, and why.
- Personal character residencies
To avoid flooding the forum with locations that have no use beyond an individual character, all requests for personal residencies will be rejected. Exceptions afforded for multipurpose residences, such as a manor house for a prominent family, or a medieval castle that incorporates numerous players.
- Lack of permission from the owner of the parent location that you're trying to build inside of
When an individual is granted approval to build a new thread/location, they maintain ownership over that region. Example: If you want to build something inside of the city of Volary, you would ask the owner of that location if your location would be okay to get added. To avoid being rejected over this, get permission in advance from the owner of a location before asking to build something inside of it. If you're unsure who the owner of a specific location is, just ask one of the Game Masters.
- Lack of player interest
To keep the number of locations to a reasonable number, we the GMs need to be convinced that the requested location will actually be used for the purpose outlined. If you're building a new nation try to have players ready in advance that will be engaging in RP with your nation. Larger undertakings should ideally have a larger number of interested players on board. Exceptions afforded for generic generalized locations provided you can sell the GMs on the fact that the location will be used. Examples: A bar, a hospital, a market place, an ancient ruins, etc.
- Personal galaxies
"My nation is too big to share a galaxy" is not likely to get a new galaxy approved. Given the sheer size of galaxies, we don't grant individual players personal galaxies exclusive to their nation. There's plenty of room to share a galaxy.
If you're interested in requesting a sub-forum for your already existing threads, include this information instead.
- The name of the sub-forum.
- A short 1-2 sentence description to be displayed at the top of the sub-forum.
- What existing forum will this sub-forum go inside of?
Disclaimer: The process involved in getting new sub-forums added is subject to the needs and growth of the RP at any given time. Sub-forum requests will not be considered without an active display of activity from involved parties and a clear need for the extra space to organize multiple threads within.
