Returned

Focusedheart

Through all, smile. Through the worst, smirk.
As her feet stepped across the ground, the auotum leaves crunching beneath their weight. A soothing sound that flooded the air to mix with the wind. Those leaves danced in that breeze as if a new song was playing.

She walked further along, until the path broke off. It was a rough path, worn and barely used. Her steps shaky but she found her footing. As she went, soon reaching an opening that stretched just a few feet before her.

Her steps carried her to a small stone. In this hard surface was a name. Puma. Her Puma. The part of her that had been lost. The cry of an Eagle drew her eyes to the sky. She watched before letting out a scream that flowed with the wind and the leaves. She dropped to her knees as pure exhaustion left her weak.

For a moment, she stayed, quiet and lost.

The eagle cries again.

Gently touching the stone, she rose to her feet. With a finally look to the stone, she turned and left the clearing. Her steps strong on the path now. She would return. She had lost him but she would return. She was not alone.

A part of her had returned and so had she.
