An RP set in the Convergence Series, a multifandom crossover RP series that focuses on seasonal events. This specific event is based primarily on A Certain Magical Index and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, with characters from many other franchises appearing as NPCs as well. Original Convergence lore will also be incorporated in some places.

As the Revanchist organization becomes stronger and rises in power while the Coalition continues to scramble to maintain its reputation, the incomplete Magic God known as Othinus comes ever closer to her mysterious goal. She seeks the magical spear Gungnir that will ascend her to a true Magic God, and a specific form of the Arrow, a bizarre artifact that she hopes will ascend her power to a multiversal scale. Working alongside her is an ambitious man whose aspirations pierce the very skies themselves named Dio Brando, and his own confidant, Enrico Pucci, and all together, they come ever closer to conquering the entire multiverse.

Opposing the three are a man named Ollerus, a man who once came tragically close to becoming a Magic God, a powerful magician known as Fiamma of the Right, once corrupted by the evils of a villain long gone and now reformed, and Touma Kamijou, a former participant of the Murder Games of old, all of whom originate from the same world as Othinus. Having caught wind of the Coalition, they come into contact with the organization to warn them of the impending threat. Brought into full alarm, the Coalition attempts to call for another multiversal summit and unite the many organizations sworn to protect it, unbeknownst that the fractured rifts in their relationships are precisely what Othinus has taken advantage of.

She was ready to make her mark on the multiverse, and no one would stand in her way.

Being that the premise of this event is inherently tied to the greater lore of the Convergence Series, similar to Civil War, there will be a character requirement in place, mainly being that your character is affiliated with one of the major organizations of the Convergence Series, be it the Coalition, the United Universes, ODMA, or so on, and by extension, as a result, they will be aware of the greater multiverse. Details on each will be elaborated below.

Back to form, aligned with most other previous events, there will be no orthodox death system. Just a straight ol' narrative, though inactives will be killed off, so do be sure to post at least once a chapter or two if you wanna stay in.

Character nerfing won't really be a thing, as I don't think it'll really be necessary, but do keep responsible just in case.

Note that there will be a good amount of combat in the RP, if that helps who you're gonna pick.

1. Naturally, all of STC's rules apply here.

2. Please be respectful towards everyone in both the OOC and IC, including myself and @Atomic Knight, who is acting as co-GM. After all, as the GMs, whatever we say goes!

3. This should be a given, but no godmodding / metagaming! I'll try to be somewhat lenient with the idea of nerfing any potentially overpowered characters, and I'll likely more often than not leave it to your discretion, but I'd also like you to meet me or @Atomic Knight halfway here if you think there might be any issues regarding that kind of stuff.

4. Due to the intended speed of the game (ideally to wrap up in a month or two), it is highly recommended to seek out other users to be your "posting partners" so that you have some people you can stick with. Using the tagging system will be a must. It's fine (and encouraged) to only keep up with a few characters / players for the majority of the game for ease, as that is far easier than trying to keep tabs on everyone. Summaries and important GM posts will be made prominent, or at least, I'll try to remember to do so.

5. As mentioned in the mechanics section, your character will be a part of an in-universe organization and be aware of the greater multiverse, as a part of the fundamental plot. To that end, you're allowed to play a recurring character (whether they first appeared in a previous event or a sandbox) even if they weren't a part of an organization before, so long as you explain when they joined an organization in your character sheet.

6. You're allowed to sign up as up to two characters if you'd like, but the duo will have to be from the same canon, if only for simplicity's sake, and more than that, they should be characters who would be normally working together, as per the standard from previous events.

7. If you're a newcomer, welcome! Though the Convergence Series is a mass fandom roleplay with its own original lore that's been built up and up for a while, don't let all that intimidate you. Previous knowledge of the Convergence Series in general or any of the past events isn't totally required to enjoy this event. That being said, as a fairly tight-knit community, we suggest and encourage you to join our Discord server (see above) to keep up with updates and meet the community, as that's where all the OOC chatter will be based.

8. Players of all posting levels are welcome here. That being said, please at least put something whenever you make a post. We'd like as little IC posts being nothing but image spam or so as possible. Speaking of image spam, please only post a maximum of three images / GIFs per post in order to not flood the page with images that make it harder to load, that is if you do intend on using pictures like icons and so forth.

If you have any questions about something I might have forgotten, do feel free to ask! Certain rules and processes may or may not be added and removed on a whim.

Appearance: Self-explanatory. Just a picture is fine if you'd like.

Name: What is your character's name? Do they generally go by an alias / nickname?

Age: Chronologically, how old is your character? Optional.

Canon: What does your character originate from? If your character is an OC, just say "OC." If your character is an OC specifically from an established canon, put the name of the canon and "OC" next to it, for example "Star Wars OC" or so.

Powers / Abilities / Equipment: What is your character capable of, and if they have notable items they carry around, like weapons, is there anything special about them? While we'll be lenient with what to nerf and what not to, naturally, hopefully you'll know the drill. Just a Wiki link is fine.

Organization: What organization is your character a part of? The Coalition (a private organization led by Kyoko Kirigiri, grown to be the most prominent force of multiversal defense), the Multiverse Emergency Unit (a magic-centered branch of the Coalition that was once its own separate organization before merging), the United Universes (the official, lawful ruling body of the multiverse), or ODMA (a mysterious organization with unconventional methods for the sake of the greater good).

For... certain bizarre characters (you know who you are, hopefully), put "Ollerus" here.

If needed, I'd also suggest including a small paragraph or so on how your character ended up with the organization if it is not shown in a previous event or RP.

As a Magister, he carries a Null Void Projector, fitting for those rowdy space criminals!
He carries with him a Plumber's Badge, which has a few features such as Plumber-based communication, radiation detection & an inbuilt universal translator.

Aura Constructs: Mason can create objects, though nothing larger than himself, through using his aura/ki/life energy. The objects can exist independently of Mason, but aren't very durable, and disappear when broken. He can replicate complicated machinery provided he knows how it works, but can't replicate most supernatural effects.

Aura Reading: He has a weak ability to sense other people's auras, but it requires focus and sends out a small wave of aura like a sonar pulse.

Portals: Mason can create portals that link two points in space, but he has to use his aura to mark both points before connecting them. This power doesn't allow passage between universes.

Commlink: A glorified smartphone/smart watch with a bit of cyberpunk flair. Still needs signal, only works as intended in worlds known by the UU.

World's Heart: Mason's heart-shaped necklace. Originally an artifact that could hold a soul after death, it doesn't work outside a small selection of universes close to Mason's. It held onto Macy's soul for awhile, but now it's just an empty locket. There aren't even any pictures inside.

Coat: His coat has pockets, which are usually filled with snacks, and has the UU's emblem on the front.

Aura Healing: She can use her aura to heal others and herself. She can keep somebody stable at the brink of death, but if they're gone, they're gone. Targets have to be in close range.

Aura Reading: Unlike Mason, her aura sense is passive. However, it leads to her being empathic and easily influenced by the emotions of others. This can cause her to lose control of her emotions and powers.

Aura Barrier: She can create a bubble of energy around herself to protect herself. She doesn't attack, but at least can protect.

Portals: She can't make short range portals, but she can open cross-universe ones. However, doing so knocks out her powers temporarily. Working with Mason, she can negate this slightly. Both of their powers will be knocked out, but for less time.

Robot Body: Macy's body is designed by Capsule Corp (though it doesn't turn into a capsule) and holds about the same strength and capabilities as Androids 17 and 18, but she hasn't trained it offensively at all. She doesn't need to eat or sleep, but still does so for the sake of seeming human. Her body is physically 21, to match with Mason. How does a disembodied soul control a robot?

Necklace: Only a copy of Mason's locket for style points, but it does hold a flash drive inside that holds a backup OS for her body.

Purse: Holds makeup and snacks. Although she doesn't need to eat, she still indulges in sweets.

Organization

United Universes, although she isn't an official employee, she sticks by Mason without anywhere else to go home to.

Other Info

Anyone who knew her as a child won't remember her, however characters from Civil War might have seen her appear in Mason's illusion or the final battle. Mason has introduced her to people in the UU, as his "long-lost twin sister." He and Macy dodge other questions and haven't mentioned that she's an android. Perhaps those close to Mason might know the truth.

She also originally died and had her soul saved in Mason's necklace before getting a high school education. She's been trying to study while Mason is at work, but is still ignorant about a lot of things.​

She had been approached by a member of the MEU sometime after the defeat of Joseph, and after some thought, decided to join the organization.

Other Info: Taken some time before The College Arc in the manga. Her left arm is completely black due to a curse, and she has to do her best to control the strength in her arm as stated in later chapters, though it hurts her by giving her headaches it seems. she also has Joseph's left eye, it being a different color than her right eye which is green.

Age: Unstated, best to assume roughly 20 years old.

Canon: Fire Emblem Awakening.

Powers / Abilities / Equipment: A thief able to pick nearly any lock (besides those damn electronic ones, still getting used to those) and pilfer any goodies behind them, Gaius focuses less on combat and more on being the acrobatic support and spy that a group needs. While carrying both a steel sword and a steel bow, he is much more a trickster who prefers to utilize staves in support of his companions if need be.

Organization: ODMA, an organization that'll take anyone on and put their skills to good use is the place for a rogue like Gaius. Seeing as the plundering was getting sparse in Ylisse and less fulfilling after his experiences as part of the Shepherds, the thief tried making an attempt at stealing information from ODMA operatives to see what they were up to for a now dead benefactor. Once he figured out that the organization was one dedicated to the greater good of the multiverse, he decided to offer his services to them and spill the beans on who had hired him originally, wanting to be a part of the fight (and to find more opportunities to rob villains blind).

Other Info: Gaius is hypoglycemic, so expect there to always be a worry about if he's got enough candy to keep himself going.​

Engaging proactively in his double life as a bounty hunter, the captain soon found himself, along with many others, thrown into a mesh of worlds following a multiverse rift.

Exposed to everything from green dinosaurs, plumbers and sword dancers of yore, the Captain Falcon knew that the age of humble hidings within the universe were over with. Deathborn and Black Shadow conspired with darker, stronger forces that hung far above. He knew that, at any cost, they had to be stopped...at any cost.

Powers / Abilities / Equipment:
- Elemental magic; Schala, just like during the "Genesis" incident, which was her first encounter with the coalition... Possesses an innate talent for all of the elements that exist in her world; Light (Lightning), Shadow, Water, and Fire. However, due to her time spent within the Coalition, and some amount of mentoring from members of the former MEU after their merging with the coalition, she has developed additional abilities... One that no single individual achieved in her lifetime without the aid of others; the ability to combine elements, forming even more devastating attacks during the right situations.
Base:
  • Lighting II - An area of effect spell that attacks enemies within it's range with powerfull jolts of lightning.
  • Ice II - An Area of effect spell that strikes enemies within it's range with large blocks of ice.
  • Fire II - Yet another area of effect spell that burns enemies within it's range with pillars of fire.
  • Dark Bomb - An area of effect spell that has a smaller range than most of her others. It is a concentrated detonation of dark magic,
  • Haste - Increases a single target's reaction time and movement speed for a brief period of time.
  • Cure II - Heals a single target, healing most wounds, effects vary depending on how severely the target was injured. (does not get rid of a targets sickness/ailments, only wounds)
  • Arise - If an ally falls unconscious in battle, usually from their wounds or an enemy's blow Schala can revive them, fully healing them in the process, but, it only works on a target if they are still alive, even if they are near death. However, this spell takes time to cast properly, meaning she would be unable to save someone who is merely seconds away from death.
  • Dark Matter - An powerfull spell which strikes all enemies within it's range with darkness.
  • Luminaire - An powerfull spell which strikes all enemies within it's range with holy light.
Combos:
So far, her combinations have yielded damage closely matching "shadow" damage, something that seems to be the center of Dark Matter's devastating effects. The one exception being "daybreak" due to the contrast of shadow and light damage being dealt instead.
  • Antipode II - An devastating area of effect spell that deals damage to areas around her. Schala has learned to mix her fire and water abilities, freezing her enemies and then immediately burning them with fire. The immediate change in temperature, coupled with the fact that both things were done magically create a devastating explosion.
  • Delta Force - Creating two, temporary copies of herself, Schala then makes her and her copies form a triangular formation, and each begin to blast fire, lightning, and water respectively towards one another. Like antipode, the mixing of elements creates a devastating assault of shadow damage, but its area of effect is limited to how far her temporary copies are spread out. This attack can also be easily interrupted though if she or her copies are hit. When either the attack is interrupted, or has been ended, her temporary copies will dissipate into the nothingness from whence they were created.
  • Delta Storm - Like delta force, Schala combines her fire, lightning and water but this time... As one singular attack, creating an arcane storm. This deals dark damage to those caught within, but it is noted that she leaves an opening from her rear as a result; this attack goes in more or less a straight line, with some level of spread to either side, but not as much as most of her area of effect attacks. This results in a more ranged, but less spread out variation of her previous spell.
  • Eternal Darkness - By combining her fire and ice magic, along with her dark matter spell, she creates an 'ultimate' shadow attack, by freezing her enemies, and then blasting them with a combination of fire and dark matter. As dark matter softens up most targets, she is effectively able to amplify the effects of what normally would have been an 'antipode' spell.
  • Daybreak (Custom Ability. Not present in the game.) - By combining her innate ability to use both dark and light magic, in the form of Dark Matter and Luminaire, she first plunges her targets in a blanket of darkness, and soon bombards them with luminaire, allowing the holy light to deal significantly more damage now that the targets in range of this attack have been exposed to enough dark energies.
Extra Notes:
Schala is also able to use basic forms of elemental magic, lesser, non-area of effect variants of her elemental attacks, which do not drain her of as much strength as her other attacks do. She usually uses her area of effect spells sparingly, but is capable of using them more frequently now. Though when she attempts a combination spell, particularly Daybreak, or Eternal Darkness, there is a considerably longer time she requires to concentrate in order to cast these spells.

As long as she has sufficient time to cast her spells, she is fine as long as she doesn't overexert herself, but if caught at close range, it is much more difficult for her to pull off anything fancy without significant risk to her life.

- (Limited) Interdimensional/Time Travel; Through a freak set of circumstances, Schala was granted a unique ability, that perhaps her pendant became the catalyst to. At first, it started as being able to access and/or seal tears in the time-space continuum, better known as "time gates", but after being freed from the "Dream Devourer", these abilities evolved somewhat, allowing her to traverse dimensions. These abilities have since wavered after the "Emnity" incident, but they have returned in bursts. However, rather than exploring these strange, new powers on her own, she conceded to work together with the Coalition to better understand and harness her abilities. Currently she does not use these powers very often, if at all, but... If given the right time, and place, she may make an attempt, with mixed results.

- Pendant; This pendant Schala possesses has been through quite the ordeal. Made originally out of a portion of the dreamstone, the mysterious artifact appears to be the catalyst for her innate magical abilities, which have manifested as the ability to traverse the planes of space and time, but to a very limited degree. Though she has never made much in the way of headway towards traversing dimensions after the "Emnity" incident, she does know that this pendant is still the final piece if she were ever to traverse dimensions, or time ever again.

Schala has alot of potential to be overpowered, but her more powerful abilities are used in bursts at best, and often very sparingly (proportionate to the threat). The inter-dimensional/time travel aspect of her abilities may never see the light of day during this event, but they are there to address the changes to her overall capabilities after the Emnity incident, more to tie up a few loose ends in Convergence lore than anything.

Billy's powers take after Wanda Maximoff's, in that he has the magical ability to manipulate reality. In theory, Billy can think whatever he wants into being, but he is generally limited in power by his inexperience or times of emotional distress. He usually needs to concentrate via repeating what he wants to make happen in order for it to actually be conjured.
