RWBY: Welcome RAIN

It was another day at Beacon Academy. Everything was running normally and it was another day where new applicants were being trialled to become teams and the usual new student initiations. Whilst the other new teams were getting their dormitories sorted out, Glynda Goodwitch and Professor Ozpin however called two teams up to Ozpin's office, one of them being the iconic Team RWBY.

"So what's going on? Are we in trouble for one of Yang's mishaps again?" "Hey! I didn't start anything this time. I'm chill." "I was just in the dorm reading one of my books. What exactly is going on?" "I was just fixing up my dust in my Rapier. What's going on that you need all of us?"

The other team was already there but not present in the same room, as they were in another room waiting for their queue to enter. "Ahem. As you know, we've had some new students enrol at the Academy already forming teams. One team however mentioned quite highly of you four and we'd like to arrange a mission between you and them." "Really?! A team actually looks up to us?! Yaaay~!" "Woah. Calm down there, sis~" Yang exclaimed as she held onto Ruby who was acting energetic again.

"Ahem. Anyways. We'd like you to meet this new team. RAIN? Come on out now."

Team RAIN, made up of two men and two women step into the office. Ray is a tall, boy with sunny blonde hair and sky blue eyes. He is wearing bright sunrise/sunset colors and carries a weapon made to project light. Aaron, a pale boy with black hair and brown eyes, and carries a scythe like Ruby, looks extremely nervous. Isabella Magia, a member of the up and coming Magia family, holds herself with dignity and has black hair and green eyes. She actually seems a little on the aloof side. Nina has bright blue eyes and blue streaked hair. She carries a sword and is very energetic. Ray speaks first. "Hello everyone. Allow me to introduce myself and my team. My name's Ray, that's Aaron, Isabella, and Nina." Gestures to each member in turn, who each say verying hi's though Aaron is very shy. Isabelle speaks up. "A pleasure. I've heard a lot about you. Mostly good things."

(Do you mind if I eventually introduce my second team. Not right now, but eventually.)

"Nice to meet you~" Ruby responded, walking forward to introduce herself to the other team. "I'm Ruby, and that's Yang, Blake and Weiss. I'm the Team Leader." "I still think that should of been my role but, you aren't so bad." "Oh chill out, Ice Queen. You know Ruby does a wonderful job as Leader. Why wouldn't she when she has a badass sister?" "And you should stop your puns!" Blake however ignored their backchat and walked forward. "It's good to see more people. Although I'm curious as to what you've heard about us." "My puns are great. No, they're Yang-tastic!" "Urgh!"

(Of course ^_^)

(Cool. I'll let you know when for sure.)
Isabella scowls at their antics, then says. "Weiss, as in Weiss Schnee? Well, that is quite the honor to meet a member of the prominent Schnee family."
Ray said "We heard about how you helped stop dust thefts to start with. Basically whatever's been going down, you guys have been a major part of it."

"Finally. Some recognition." Weiss exclaimed proudly. "We are the most reliable source of Dust after all~ Our workers work day and night to provide the dust that everyone desires after all." "..." Blake however silenced herself after hearing Weiss talk about her family's work. "That's right~! We've gotten involved in a lot of stuff. Although some stuff we don't really like to talk about..." Ruby stated, scratching the back of her head.

(It's the A with a gray line under it. And anything out of character, could you state it in the PM we have? It'd make this a lot cleaner ^_^ )

(Yeah, sorry)

Isabella smiled at Weiss, and Ray groaned. "I think Isabella's found a kindred spirit. We could be in serious trouble. Her family's currently on the rise."
"You mean, in spite of our black sheep?"
It's Ray's turn to glower, but at Isabella.

Blake however walked over to Nina who appeared to be wielding a kind of sword and gave a bleak smile. "Hi. My name's Blake. Your sword reminds me of a old friend I used to have." "What kind of old friend would that be, eh Blake?" "Yang... That's none of your business." "Aww. Shimmer down, feline. Was just curious." "..."

Ruby walked over to Aaron and saw that he too wielded a scythe and got excited. "Ooo~! You wield a Scythe too?! What does yours turn into?~"

"Yeah. I do. It's nice to meet you, Blake. My name's Nina."
Aaron simply said, "Uh..yes, I do." His voice was timid, his dark eyes nervous. "I...it turns into...a...whip..."
Ray said, "
I think you're making him nervous, Ruby." With a small grin.

"A whip? Are you one of those dominatrix types..." "I think his clothing choice would of shown that, sis... Besides. He looks really nervous and that doesn't suit that type of character, you know?" "Wait. Since when did you know so much about that?!" "I uh... uh I um......" "I think you've been reading one of my books..." Blake responded, overhearing the conversation and blushing. "Hey. I don't read your books!" "And you certainly have a bad habit of making bad puns, Yang!" "My puns are not bad, thank you very much!"

Glynda was growing increasingly impatient while Professor Ozpin was just sitting there drinking his Coffee. After hearing enough of their bickering, she called out. "Ahem! If you would be so kind as to quiet down." "Sorry, Glynda..." "Yeesh. It wasn't going to go that far, miss." "..." "..." Blake nodded in response to Glynda while Weiss pouted, with Ruby and Yang apologising, Yang not so much.

Ray, Nina, and even Isabella burst out laughing. Even Aaron chuckled a little. "I...it's more for fighting purposes than anything...whips have a lot of use if you're falling and need to grab something too far away for hands alone."
"
Don't strain something, Aaron, trying to talk all that much." The group laughed again.

"Ahem." Glynda exclaimed once again to get the group to quieten down. "Anyways. We've called you both here to work on a mission together." "Deep in the Emerald Forest. There's a section that the Grimm for some reason have highly inhabited, and reports suggest they're breeding over there. We need you eight to go investigate it, and shut down whatever's going on before the Academy is threatened." Ozpin explained, bring up the map and pointing to where the location was in the forest. "Any questions?"

"Not on my end. We're ready." Ray said after a quick glance around his team, who all shook their heads.

"Alright then. Glynda, would you kindly escort them to the forest?" "Alright."

Glynda then composed herself and got ready. "Let's get going then. I'd prefer we reach the location by Sundown. Let's go." And so Glynda began to walk out of the Office and into the elevator, with Team RWBY following suit. "Come on you guys! Let's get going!" Ruby exclaimed in an excited manner. She couldn't wait to do another mission, especially with a new recent team.

After exiting the Elevator after it went down, they began walking down the hallways. "So Glynda? What exactly makes this spot special?" "I don't exactly know. Something at the Emerald Forest and this location in particular is causing the creatures of Grimm to amass in the hundreds. Ozpin was led to believe that they could of breeding down there." "Breeding? I didn't even think they could do that." Blake commented. "We're not so sure ourselves. But we're going to investigate it and put a stop to it."

"This should be interesting. Still, with us to back you up, we shouldn't have many problems." Ray sounded like the confident leader he was. Aaron looked a bit less certain, though Isabella stayed cool and aloof. Nina almost floated, not lost in her own world, but definitely not scared or nervous.

"Now just because you're a group of 8 does not mean that you will necessarily achieve victory. We have no idea what kinds of Grimm are amassing over there." "We'll still have a pretty good chance of kicking their butts like we always do. We've handled worse." "Not quite on this scale, Miss Long." Glynda commented as they were now exiting the Academy and on route to Emerald Forest.

"Like a mentioned. You could easily be defeated by just how many there are in alignment with Fatigue. Anyways. We're almost there. Once we arrive, you'll be operating on your own accord. I hope that you can all decide what to do fairly." Glynda explained as they continued walking to the Emerald Forest, now entering the forest itself towards the area highlighted by Ozpin's map when they were in his office.
