RWBY: Welcome RAIN

"Oh, good grief..." Isabella sounded resigned. Though she had to wonder just how much notice you could give someone when out in the woods. Still, if that was CMLT in the cage, then that made things more complicated. She wanted to point out, again, that while the group had snuck up on them, RWBY hadn't exactly made it hard for CMLT to find them. But for now. "Now we have to rescue them, don't we?"
"Hey, if they're in a cage down here, then that means they aren't working with Torchwick. Anyone against saving them?"
 
"I don't know about rescuing them so quickly..." "I'm with Blake on this one, there's a very large amount of Grimm and those cages are too much in the open for us to save them quietly." "And what's worse is---" "Attention everyone!" Came a voice out of nowhere as it would appear that in several locations around the cave were loudspeakers projecting Roman's Voice.

"We're almost complete in our plan to destroy Beacon. Gathering these Grimm here took quite a while to do and they weren't exactly... co-operative. However! Now we can move in without any problems! Except of course, that's not why I'm broadcasting this. No. I need you all to do one thing for me." Then all of a sudden, a flashlight shined on the group, revealing their position! "Open fire on those pests!" All of the Goons down below pulled out RPG's and began to fire them towards the team. "Scatter!" Blake exclaimed as she used her grapple to fly away from the incoming shots, while Yang and Ruby proceeded to shoot them down with Weiss watching their backs.

"If you four are able to get the drop on the cage and rescue that team, do it! We'll try to keep them occupied!"

 
Melody, who'd known the other group was over on the other side. The instant that the guards around them were distracted, she looked over at Caden. "We should help them out. You know what to do." Caden nodded, and, pulling his sword out of its shieth, caused it to start flying around the room at the members of Torchwick's crowd. If he'd really wanted too, he could have taken temporary control of a few of the goon's weapons, though not for very long. He had better control over his own weapon. Melody kept him from hitting allies. Or at least people who wouldn't want to hurt him. He knew that Melody at least would have trouble thinking of Isabella as an ally, though she seemed to have no problem forgiving RWBY for attacking them. He wondered why she hadn't warned them, or at least gotten out of the way. But then again, no one, not even Melody, was perfect.

"Aaron, break us through." Aaron nodded and slammed the butt of his scythe into the ground, and concentrated on summoning the "sand mummies" that were his semblance to break through to the cage. It wasn't perfect. There were a lot of Grimm, but it gave Ray and the rest a chance to take on any other Grimm or goons that were in the way. Occasionally, there was a bright flash of light from Ray. That light sometimes turned into constructs, and other times was just meant to blind the enemy. Isabella didn't seem to use a semblance but instead used her weapons which had dust around the hilts. Nina didn't really use her semblance either, but her sword flashes with great speed.
 
"Woah! Torchwick didn't mention anything about these guys!" "Whatever, just get rid of them quickly!" Various goons exclaimed as they rushed towards RAIN only to get sliced and diced by their rush towards the captured Hunters and Huntresses. RWBY however were being belted by several RPG's, just about surviving. "We can't hold out much longer... Yang, are you even trying?!" "I'm actually trying! These guys are definitely hitting harder than normal!" "Well do something!" "I'm trying! But I can't get an opening to snipe them!"

Meanwhile​

"We can't do anything against this lot! What are we going to do?!" Then the sound of walking occurred near the Cage as a familiar face emerged from the shadows, or supposedly familiar if RAIN knew who they were. This woman walked over and sat on top of a crate while the fighting was happening.

"Oh. Neopolitan's joined the fight." "But why is she just sitting there?" "Hey... Could you do something?!" She then acknowledged and stood up, walking towards Team RAIN with a smirk on her face as she prepared to fight a 4 on 1 battle.

 
"This can't be good," Ray stated, calmly as Neopolitan came towards RAIN. They prepared for a fight, causing Aaron's sand mummies to vanish, due to a lack of concentration. But that was all CMLT had needed to start sowing confusion among the ranks, while Tina and Lance figured a way out of their cage. But none of that mattered to RAIN at the moment. They were in danger. Neopolitan was very very very good.
 
She simply smirked towards the group as she prepared to lunge towards them with her Umbrella weapon in hand, targeting Ray first but keeping an eye on the others, preparing to dodge all incoming attacks while she was busy.

"Wait, look down there..." "It's Neopolitan!" "Yang, calm down. We've got our own troubles, up here!" "Urgh!" "Let's just hope they can handle her..."

 
Ray was well aware of how dangerous anyone who worked with Torchwick could be. But he and his crew were no slouches. He and the others prepared their semblances and readied for a fight. Still, they would probably need help. He noticed out of the corner of his eye, that CMLT was working on breaking out of the cage. Tina was doing it very slowly, while everyone else was distracted by Caden's soaring weapon. Melody seemed rather unimpressed by what was going on. In fact, she didn't even seem to be truly paying attention to the fight. Though she occasionally said something to the others. This seemed to keep them more or less out of trouble. Lance was preparing his own weapon, and probably whatever his semblance is. Aaron summoned his sand mummies again. Ray summoned his light constructs in a blinding flash. Nina aimed her sword. Isabella sighed and readied both her blades, each with dust in them. And they charged.
 
Neopolitan saw the incoming charges by the group of four and acted appropriately, like she did against Yang. As each of the RAIN members got close enough to attack her, she side-stepped away and then slashed her umbrella weapon towards their weapon to cause a small clash in which she continued to do so with each of the members...

Until a red explosion landed in the center of them and caused Neo to back off for a moment before a voice was heard.

"Ah. It's good to see that you made the time to arrive, Neo." Roman exclaimed as he had his cane aimed at the group at the time of speaking. "You must really be skilled recently if you went to attack a group of four by yourself. But do not worry, I'm here." Neopolitan walked over to Roman's side and smirked towards RAIN as they both prepared to fight.

 
"Well, crap." Ray knew they were in trouble. Neapolitan was more than enough trouble on her own Roman, while not quite as powerful would still be formidable back up. Out of them, Isabella and Nina were the only ones not using their semblances. And Aaron was starting to look a little strained.

"Got it" Said Tina, triumphantly as the cage finally opened.
"Good." Caden replied, and called his sword back to him. He didn't sheath it, there wasn't time. "Let's help out."
"We should split and help both teams if we can. I'll go with Wart here." Melody said.
"That means you and Lance are together, Tina. Mel and I will help RAIN. Tina, Lance, you guys go help RWBY." Tina pouted, but nodded, and she and Lance took off towards RWBY, while Melody and Caden went towards RAIN. Caden focused his attention on Torchwick's weapon. He could take temporary control once they got close, but it wouldn't last long. It never did. But it could be long enough. And he could only take one enemy weapon over at a time, meaning he could do nothing about Neapolitan's umbrella. This was going to be interesting. Melody's staff was at the ready.
 
"Urgh..." Roman exclaimed, unhappy at the situation. "Can my henchmen actually do their jobs once in a while?! Hmm..." He then turned towards the now group of six and held his hand up while aiming his Cane at a Nevermore Nest in the ceiling. "Sorry to break up the reunion, but we're out of here." He then fired the cane towards the nest and disturbed their sleep, causing the Nevermore to wake up and fly towards the source of the blast. As that happened, a helicopter broke through the ceiling and dropped ropes towards Roman and Neo. "Ta-ta." He and her then grabbed the ropes and zoomed upwards towards the helicopter, with Roman firing Cane shots towards the group to make them disperse.

"Can we hold them off?! Probably not! Wait... Ruby, fire at that helicopter!" "On it!" Ruby exclaimed as she began to open fire on the ship, but no affect. "It's not working!" "Well do something before... Oh." "Nevermore!" "We've gotta get down there fast to help the group!" "But how? We're being pinned by those rockets!"

 
Melody, even before Torchwick shot shouted, "Scatter!" Caden, experienced with things like this from Melody never even hesitated and got out of the way. Melody herself made sure she was out of the way, while helping any slow to react. It was the first time she seemed truly interested in what was going on around her, though even then, she seemed distracted. Isabella moved quickly enough, though Aaron probably would have been hit, if not for Melody. Ray's light constructs wouldn't help stop Torchwick from so far away, and neither would Aaron's sand mummies. Isabella, once safely out of the way, focused and used her semblance, the semblance the Magia family was known for. She caused the dust in her swords to shoot out of her sword, and towards Torchwick and the helicopter. Nina's semblance also took shape, causing the winds to become unpredictable. It might not be enough, but it was all they could do from here.

Tina and Lance climbed up towards RWBY. Tina looked around as they climbed for anything that might be in their way. "Hey, you guys need help?"
 
"Yeah, we could use some help! Despite that helicopter taking Roman and co away, we're still being harassed by rockets!" Weiss exclaimed, starting to sweat a little now. "My glyph isn't going to last much longer!" "They just keep coming too... Every time I snipe one, two more just show up!" Ruby exclaimed as she continued firing despite her not hitting many shots due to all the flak in their way.

Unfortunately for the other group, Isabella's attack bounced off of the Helicopter after damaging it slightly and smack a stalactite on the ceiling, causing it to start to fall on top of them!

 
"Right." Tina knew Caden would probably be better for the rockets than she or Lance. But they finished climbing up to aid RWBY how they could. Lance, once at a decent angle, threw his lance at one of the rockets. He couldn't control it, like Caden, but it was designed to return to him and him alone. That didn't mean that if this worked, it wouldn't be smacked out of the sky, in which case he'd have to retrieve it later, but it was the best he could do. Tina turned her sword into a rifle, and started shooting rockets with care.

"Crap!" Isabella said. She'd hoped for more damage at least. She didn't even realize it had hit the Stalactite. But Melody knew. "Isabella! Caden, get everyone out fast." Caden didn't question. He took off, grabbing Aaron, who was small enough to be dragged out of the way, and at Ray, who looked at Caden, and while he didn't know what was going on, figured it must be urgent, and followed, trying to match Caden's speed. Melody ran as fast as she could towards Isabella. As much of a pain as she could be, they were still sisters. She had to try to save her.
 
Melody's attempt to save Isabella was a success as she managed to catch her just in the nick of time, however a few of Roman's goons had already reached the group and had gotten themselves ready, Neopolitan included as they readied themselves. "Hey, Neo, how come you didn't retreat with the boss?" She then looked towards him with an expression that made her reasoning very clear. "Ah, you were ordered to. Well that's good, we need all the help we can get." She nodded in response and then prepared herself when team RWBY appeared from their unfortunate pin and reinforced the group.

"Come on now! We need to get out of here, this cave is going to fall apart!" "How do you know that? It only crumbled around that hole Roman made to escape..." "Because while he escaped, he ordered those that were attacking us to destroy this cave's supports. We need to escape, otherwise we'll be met with a underground grave." "But how? There's Grimm and Roman's Goons in-between us and any chance of escape, including Neopolitan!" "Neo... I have a bone to pick with you!"

Then all of a sudden, a familiar spear was flown into the fight, knocking out a goon that was trying to jump Ruby from behind. "Wait, I know that spear!" "Over here!" Came a familiar voice as on a small hill behind the group was a group of four that was all too familiar:

"Pyrrha! Nora! Jaune! Ren!" Ruby exclaimed in excitement as the group jumped over to the crowd and readied their weapons. "Glynda called us to come and help you out. Apparently she got new information and thought that you could use a little hand." "Yeah, we're going to break some legs!" "So long as it's their legs and not ours, Nora... And it was my decision to come and help guys..." "If by, your decision, you enforced Glynda's order then yes, it was entirely your idea, Jaune." "Anyways. We dropped in from the hole created by Roman's Escape, and we're here to help you escape. Now let's group up and charge as one."

 
"We need to go as soon as we have the chance. Ruby's right, the cave won't be up much longer." Melody said, pulling a stunned Isabelle behind her. Caden was immediately at her side, helping. Tina and Lance looked over and nodded, clearly, though Melody wasn't the leader, CMLT trusted her. RAIN also nodded. "Right, let's do this, then get out of here while we have a chance." RAIN and half of CMLT ran to re-group with RWBY and the other half of CMLT.
 
"Ready... Go!" Pyrrha exclaimed as she charged first with her shield up, full on running through the crowd while everyone followed. Weiss conjured up a few glyph's here and there, Ruby kept her Scythe handy while Blake and Yang punched and kicked ones that tried to go for them. The team of JNPR stuck behind Pyrrha's charge with their own devising, while Nora used her weapon to slingshot herself in front to help clear the way. This was certainly one way to escape.

"Come on, we're almost there. Keep in formation!" "We're almost out guys, keep it up!" Pyrrha and Ruby exclaimed as they were about to escape when Neopolitan stood in front of them waiting. "How long was she there?! How did she get past us?!"

 
"No idea..." Melody frowned in thought.
"Not sure it matters, anyway. We need to get through her now." Ray pointed out. Isabelle pushed herself away from Melody, and drew both her swords, now regretting using all her dust to try to stop Torchwick. It hadn't worked, and now she was out when they needed it most. Still, she was a decent fighter. So she just made sure she had her two swords well in hand.
 
"I'll buy you time, just move!" Yang exclaimed as she hastily jumped towards Neopolitan who was just standing there dodging her punches. "Yang! You know you can't beat her alone!" "Sis, just go! Everyone just go, I'll keep her off you!" "Actually you won't need to do that. We're going to help you." "Ugh, fine! Just get everyone else out, me and Pyrrha will keep her off you." "Sis... Okay, let's go everyone!" Ruby exclaimed as she unpacked her Scythe into a Sniper Rifle and fired at the incoming goons while everyone was trying to escape.

 
Isabella slashed at goons in their way when they were close enough for her swords to reach, the others helping to clear a path. Melody was wielding her staff with great skill, keeping both herself and Caden safe from harm, though Caden wasn't being a slacker. If he wasn't using his own sword, he was keeping one or two goons off balance by making their weapons do things their owners didn't want them to do. He couldn't keep control over another's weapon forever, but it was enough to sow some chaos.

Meanwhile Yang and Pyrrha were doing pretty well keeping Neo at bay, keeping their strengths to aid their disadvantages, mainly Yangs due to her being vulnerable to kicks. She felt outnumbered and overpowered here and chose to make a tactical retreat, fleeing towards one of the large Grimm Creatures and jumping onto it's back. It got enraged about this and went on a rampage through the cave, breaking open one of the walls and tunnelling upwards.

"Woah... Okay. Let's get going, Pyrrha, don't want to be left behind now do we?" "No, we most certainly do not. Come on, let's regroup with our comrades."

Back with the main group, and they managed to retreat out of the cave and appeared outside of the forest in an open plains-land, which was peaceful for the moment. "Whew... We made it out. I hope Yang and Pyrrha are okay." "She'll be fine. She's got Yang with her, so the two of them together shouldn't be too difficult."
