Appearance: Handsome, tall, and muscular, Kiril would be every woman's dream man were it not for the assortment of Russian Bratva and prison tattoos he sports, along with the many scars to go along with them.

They all paint the picture of a man who has earned his place in the criminal underworld as a vory v zakone.

Personality: Kiril is a man who prefers to keep a stone face and his his words to himself. He speaks only when required, or through his, usually, violent actions on behalf of the Bratva.

Abilities & Equipment: Kiril is enhanced by a number of cybernetics, combined with his experience in the Russian prison system and time as a soldier, he is exceedingly dangerous.

He is made even more dangerous by the addition of a plasma cannon in his right arm. There is no kill like overkill.

Personal History: Very little is known of Kiril's past except that he served as a Soviet paratrooper and later spent time in and out of Russian prisons after turning to a life of crime.

Personality: James, like many Van Leugen detectives, is cynical and sometimes aggressive towards people, especially criminals. He has no patience for the politics that plague the department, opting to go out on his own and seek justice.

Usually at the expense of the city having to pay the medical bills of whatever poor criminal comes across Detective Turn.

Personal History: Originally from Caldonia, James' family moved to Van Leugen when he and his siblings were young. The Turn siblings grew up with the city's violence, making them tough, though they avoided the criminal path with the help of their parents.

James embarked on an impressive sports career before an incident in his civilian life sidelined him. At some point he had an epiphany and decided to join the VLPD.

He rose through the ranks quickly, joining their Special Crimes Division before being sent to the CID.

Personal History: Little is known of Wesley's life before joining the military and later becoming part of Ajax Security. All That is known is that he hails from Windcrest originally and many of his military records were sealed.

This has lead to many rumors of him being a TIB operative in the past, if not in the present.

Real Name: Cassius Argos Titus Dias.
Alias(es): Gladium Caesaris, The Sword, God's Hand.

History​

Born in Rome as Cassius Argos Titus Dias, he would eventually go on to become a member of the Eighth Legion and prove himself in several battles. It wasn't until he took part in the Battle of Thapsus that he would become known as Gladium Caesaris after killing several of the anti-Caesar forces.

During the fighting, Gladium would be felled by an enemy. But, as he took his last breath he prayed to gods. To the surprise of his comrades, and Gladium himself, he was granted life.

With his new immortality, Gladium finished the battle and became a loyal soldier for soldier for the Empire up until it finally dissolved.

With no cause, Gladium decide to roam the world in search of an enemy that could defeat him, continuing to grow in his power granted by the gods.

Sister Ovus is one of the Church of Crime's many enigmatic underbosses, rarely seen in public unless leading the cultists into a conflict. Little is known about the woman, what is known is that she was born a Human in the Prussia region of the Baltics nearly one thousand years ago. At some point in her life Ovus was granted immortality and a few vampiric abilities, the events surrounding these changes to her are unknown.

With her new abilities, strength, and immortality Ovus took advantage. She hired herself out for profit, fighting wars and assassinating political rivals of the highest bidders. It's unclear what her role was in the founding of the Church of Crime of if she was involved in the founding at all.

Abilities:​

- Scar The Wind: This ability allows Ovus to use her melee weapons, usually her spear, as ranged weapons of sorts. She swings them and energy is shot out that slices sharper than her blades do. This ability is useful for her when faced with an opponent who won't come close or pesky obstacles.

- Bathory: This ability allows Ovus to utilize the blood of fallen enemies and blood of the living to empower herself. This can only be done so long as the blood can be accessed through open wounds and the like. When wounded she uses the ability to heal herself. She can also use the ability to manipulate the blood in one's body, forcing any number of gruesome outcomes.

Personal History: Born and raised in Van Leugen, Donald is no stranger to the crime that plagues the city. Unlike many of his friends growing up, Donald wasn't fascinated by the flashy gangsters in his neighborhood.

Instead he rejected all that they stood for. At a young age he joined the VLPD in hopes of cleaning the streets, but he found that the police force was just as corrupt as the criminals they were meant to stop.

Donald took it upon himself to put together an anti-gang unit with officers he could trust and take to the streets where he earned the name Gangbuster.

He stayed with the unit for years, earning a reputation for being harder than the mob. Even earning their respect. Today, he has ascended the ranks and become Chief of Police with the intent of finishing what he started and cleaning up the VLPD.

Appearance: With her good looks, fit body, and long blonde hair, Veronica would have had an easy time finding work as a model. Her stoicism and piercing green eyes would only help that career, but the multitude of scars on her body would have made finding a market for her hard.

The scars don't seem accidental, possibly inflicted by torture and other acts of violence.

Personality: Veronica is loyal, silent, and meticulous. She speaks only when she needs to, but when she does she speaks volumes.

Abilities & Equipment: Veronica is a very competent fighter, but even without those skills she finds herself with the advantages of superhuman strength and the cybernetic enhancements in her body.

Personal History: Born in Rotterdam, South Holland in the Netherlands, Veronica grew up in a middle class family. Her father heavily involved in organized crime.

Veronica, being his only child, was reluctantly groomed by her father to run his business. After his death of Italian mobsters, she took control of his organization and waged a war that spread from Rotterdam to Italy itself.

With how much violence she brought to the country, the authorities cracked down on Veronica and her mob. Veronica eventually fled to the Caribbean, working here as a contract killer and underboss the No Limit Soldiers, an Afro-Dutch gang.

At some point Veronica was injured and disappeared from the Caribbean, rumored to have quietly died.

Appearance: Kazen is tall, blonde, and built with a Herculean physique. He does his best at times to keep his hair cut short and his face clean shaven, despite the fact that he often wears ratty dusters, cowboy hats and old military fatigues.

Probably to downplay just how vain he really is. Sometimes he makes an effort to dress up if he finds an important enough reason.

Personality: To call the Irishman rough would be understating just how crass he really is. Made tough by unlucky circumstances in his youth, Kazen has a no-nonsense exterior coupled with a very colorful vocabulary.

He'd have made a great drill sergeant.

Personal History: Born in Dublin, Kazen is the son of Patrick and Sara Horne, the youngest boy in the family. His father, a veteran soldier, fought for and maintained Ireland's sovereignty from the British, even securing Northern Ireland and part of Wales.

This made Kazen part of a royal family of sorts, and prompted him to follow closely behind his father. But, at sixteen on a trip to Japan Kazen, his father, and his brother, Sean, were ambushed soon after arrival.

Left to die, Kazen crawled himself to relative safety. He was recovered by an orphan gang lead by John Izumi, who would go on to become his best friend.

With the help of the orphans, Kazen was nursed back to health and eventually pushed them to take odd jobs from the local Yakuzas.

After tragedy struck, John would leave the gang behind and it would eventually dissolve without his leadership. With nowhere else to go, Kazen made his way to America where he would be recruited into the Invictus and serve as one of their heavies for years to come.

- Moroi La Nimic: An ability that allows Kazen to disappear and then reappear at a different location. Kazen likes to think of it as teleporting, though he is actually moving too fast for one to see.

- Sleight Of Hand: With this ability, Kazen can seemingly pull objects out of thin air. Though in truth, he carries small items in secret compartments or pockets on his person.

- Mind Game: Not always used for combat, Kazen can cause some objects to move through other physical objects at will. His ability with this seems to be limited to small things and his sword for now, but he has been training to be able to move himself through solid objects.

Appearance: Taco is a tall, slim man with a muscular physique and fair skin. He's often neatly groomed, constantly clean shaven and never having messy hair.

Personality: Taco, especially when in the presence of Chemo and Nina, can make a joke out of any and everything. And, he does. Often. This allows him to easily connect with people, especially those he'll be using his medical skills on.

Taking medicine seriously, Taco will go above and beyond to save a life even if it means losing his own.

Personal History: Born and raised in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, New York, Taco was always a lighthearted jokester despite the violence in his neighborhood.

He avoided that life when he befriended a new student in his high school class, Nina Sekova, who had just come to America from Kosovo.

The two grew close, keeping each other grounded in their harsh realities. When war broke out, the two decided to enlist in the military together.

They were eventually deployed to Afghanistan in separate units that both worked with Canadian and British special forces. It was here that they met a young Canadian soldier by the name of Robert "Chemo" Jimenez.

Chemo acted as the bridge that kept Nina and Taco connected, growing to become very good friends with both. After traumatic events in the war, the three decided to leave their respective militaries and join the Invictus.

Even bringing along other soldiers they had met who had grown weary of their soldiering lives.

Personality: Stoic, calculating, meticulous, and extremely dangerous is Vanessa. Her time with Chinese army intelligence exposed her to a world that scared her and steeled her.

Despite her consummate professionalism, Vanessa can still drink and joke with those she considers friends. She tends to grow very attached to her comrades, making it that much harder when something happens to drive them apart.

Personal History: At a young age, Vanessa knew that she wanted to fight for her country. She also knew at a young age that the odds were stacked against her because of her gender and impoverishment in central China.

She didn't let that stop her, Vanessa took every opportunity that she could to make sure she earned a place in the Chinese army. Showing a talent for espionage and information gathering, she found herself promoted to army intelligence.

The position was perfect for her until she stumbled upon arms dealing within the military stationed near Hong Kong. After trying to pass the information on to her superiors, Vanessa was told to drop the issue.

The soldiers were dealing weapons on behalf of the military in order to fund the war effort and make sure troops were properly outfitted.

Disgusted, Vanessa would leave the Chinese military and make her way to America to enroll in college and earn citizenship.

Not content with civilian life, and strapped for cash, Vanessa looked to the private sector and began outsourcing her skills until she was offered a job with the Invictus.

She displayed extremely honed combat skills, bringing into question just how much of her time with the Chinese army was just computer work.

Personality: If playing hero was a sickness, Viktor would have it bad. The son of a cop who was the son of a cop, he has a sense that puts him at odds with criminals all over. But, years of that heroism never paying off led Viktor to drink and abuse his painkillers.

Those demons don't stop him from chasing the damsel in distress.

Abilities & Equipment: Viktor is often armed with two Beretta 9mms, his weapon of choice from his old military days. He's an extremely proficient marksman with most handguns, giving him an advantage over your average criminal.

Personal History: A former intelligence agent turned police, Viktor rose in the ranks in the Naples PD to detective. With his special skills, he was constantly assigned to undercover work.

It was when he was asked to infiltrate the Stefano Clan that his life would dramatically change. The assignment was botched after his identity was leaked, and after narrowly escaping death at the hands of mobsters, Viktor decided he could trust no one.

Joining up with a mysterious woman from America, Maria Munroe, Viktor took the law into his own hands and for a few days waged a war against Stefano.

Eventually it ended with Viktor betrayed by his friend, Ezio, and left for dead with a bullet in his temple. He survived, barely, and was blacklisted from Naples with the threat of murder for his family in Sicily.

Maria revealed herself to be a member of the Invictus and offered Viktor a job with her. He accepted, bringing his demons along with him.

Appearance: An older man, Piers is surprisingly fit, possibly due to his years spent dabbling in necromancy and other magics. He's often dressed in the finest robes his old money can buy, favoring dark colors and gold trims.

Personality: Wise beyond his years, Piers prefers to speak when spoken to and when he speaks he makes the most of it. Because of this, he is often seen advising other necromancers in Lutetia City.

Abilities & Equipment: Like most necromancers, Piers can grant unlife to those who seek it and to those that have no choice. His own life has been prolonged exponentially through his necromancy and other sorcery.

Personal History: Despite his long life, very little is known about Piers. It's all but confirmed that he lived through many of the more troubling parts of Lutetia's history, leaving a big chip on his shoulder.

Appearance: An older darker skinned Hispanic male with very obvious native American features and long black hair, Javier sometimes doesn't look out of place in both a feather headdress or a Sombrero.

He prefers long coats, usually expensive and lined with fur. This affinity for modern high-fashion makes him look less like the Warlock he is and more like an actor or model.

Personality: Javier is eccentric, to say the least. With a flair for the over-the-top and the dramatic, his approach to magic can come off as incredibly hammy. Despite this, he does take his work seriously, as a religious man he devotes nearly all of his time to helping people fight demons, personal and literal.

That doesn't stop him from trying to bring his work to TV. Javier is at his most hammy when he's the center of attention.

Personal History: Born in San Antonio, Texas, Javier always wanted the spotlight. After he began learning the ways of the Brujeria, he would often perform for his family as a child, then his friends in middle school and high school, and anyone who would watch as an adult.

Joining the Invictus soon after leaving college, he would often find himself working and adventuring with Samson Godfrey, a legendary magic adventurer. Not one for playing the sidekick role, Javier refused to continue as Godfrey's protege.

He went into work on his own, with a series of assistants, in hopes of achieving fame and fortune. Helping people being a side effect of his line of work.

Appearance: Mason is a tall, darker-skinned man with short dark hair and brown eyes. He keeps himself physically fit and neat, often wearing nice suits even when not working. He prefers a simple look, refraining from being flashy in most social settings.

Personality: Mason has always been determined, loyal, and honest to a fault, an very anti-crime all characteristics that helped him as an attorney in Van Leugen. His willingness to prosecute any and everyone, including politicians and police officers, has left him with few friends in power.

Despite this, Mason sticks to his convictions and refuses to do anything he sees as wrong.

Personal History: Born in Van Leugen, the son of Lakota refugees who found their way to Valore, Mason was always taught by his parents his peoples' history as warriors fighting for what they believed in. It inspired Mason at a young age, enforcing his, and his sister Siobhan's, disdain for the crime in their city.

Seeing how the less powerful were preyed upon by the gangs, corrupt police and politicians, and the city's elites, Mason was determined to put an end to what he saw as an injustice. He would take an interest in the law, working hard to gain a law degree to put to good use.

Through years of hard work, much of it pro bono, and hard-won court cases on behalf of Van Leugen's impoverished and weak, he would finally get a call from the Terran National Government to join them.

Personality: Despite his heritage, Oded didn't seem to inherit the same brain as his sister from his parents. This led him down a more vain path towards drugs, parties and models. The Israeli youth is all about love. Free love and drugs. He's a kind soul with misplaced priorities.
