Chronicles of The Omniverse Archived Script's Characters

Name:
Nathan Hart
Age: 14
Gender: Male
Species: Caeruleum Vampire

Bio/Synopsis: Nathan is the only child of Gerard Hart, co-founder of Hart & Armistead, a prestigious corporate law firm operating within Lutetia. A fragile boy, Nathan went blind when he was six due to a severe infection, and has suffered with a congenital heart defect his whole life that has restricted his mobility and strength for as long as he can remember, despite expensive medical procedures to ensure that his quality of life is as good as possible.

Unable to partake in sports or other physical forms of play, Nathan devoted his time to books and to music from a very young age. His talent with the piano is such that many deem him a virtuoso and a prodigy - he's something of a local celebrity, the little blind boy who can play the keys as though they were an extension of himself.

Until recently, he attended the Delacroix Academy for his education. He didn't have great deal of friends aside from his constant companion, Samson the golden retriever guide dog, as well as his carer, Claire Royer - an aide hired by his father to carry his bags and look out for him.

Now, all of that has changed.

Nox Caeruleum took an interest in the virtuoso boy, and has since turned him into one of his own brood. A Caer - albeit a none-noble one. Nathan's sight has returned and his heartbeat is... well, no longer a concern.

He paid a hefty price, however. The malice of his Caer nature cannot be resisted forever, certainly not so long as his sire lives. It's only a matter of time before he turns in mind as well as in body.

Abilities:

  • Regeneration
  • Enhanced Strength/Speed/Reflexes
  • Enhanced Senses
  • Mental Manipulation - the use of vampiric power to manipulate the emotions and minds of others.
  • Mist Form
  • Ice Magic

2wFiHqi.jpg
Name:
Adam Cornett
Age: 34
Gender: Male
Species: Lutetian Human

Bio/Synopsis: A police officer turned hired gun, Adam hasn't always stayed on the right side of the law since he left the force - after all, the illegal work pays better. Thus far he's managed to successfully keep his record clean, and keep any of his more questionable work from catching up to him. Charismatic and smooth-talking to a fault, Adam tends to act as the 'face' for his little band of regular colleagues.

Abilities:

  • Animancy - Adam isn't a powerful animancer, but the abilities he does have are particularly useful in his field of work. His soulsight allows him to very easily pick up on the emotional states of those around him, giving him an advantage in negotiations and in picking out threats.

o3JTZnu.jpg
Name:
Yuri Kozlov
Age: 53
Gender: Male
Species: Anarian Werewolf

Bio/Synopsis: Yuri was a soldier in one of the southern Anarian clans for the first half of his life, before a conflict of interests between him and a superior - ending in the superior's death - led him to depart the country to find a life elsewhere. Upon arriving in Lutetia, he quickly fell into organised crime, his obscene strength and endurance making him a valuable (if fickle) asset. Only after meeting Adam did he begin to make big money, as Adam's charisma combined with his raw power made something of a dynamic duo when it came to attracting big-money clients in the underworld and in more legitimate ventures. He hopes to one day earn enough money to comfortably retire on a farm in Iveria.

Abilities:

  • Regeneration - As a werewolf, Yuri regenerates very swiftly from injuries.
  • Enhanced Strength/Speed/Senses
  • Wolf Form (Hybrid)

LRpRdIp.jpg
Name:
Tara Blanchette
Age: 29
Gender: Female
Species: Lutetian Human

Bio/Synopsis: Tara goes to great lengths to keep her personal history a secret. It's generally acknowledged that she was an orphan, and studied necromancy and witchcraft in Tiranoth in her teenage years, then abroad in Caldonia in her early twenties but the circumstances surrounding her return to Lutetia and entry into the mercenary business are hazy at best. Some say that her blase attitude towards life and death comes from the fact that she herself is undead, but most dismiss this due to her decidedly none-undead-ish traits such as warm blood and a beating heart. Others suggest that she's simply addicted to adrenaline, or some traumatic event has led to her being unable to get by in a normal life.

Abilities:

  • Necromancy - hexes, curses, animation of the dead
  • Witchcraft - hexes, curses, scrying, shrouding, disguising, warding, shielding
  • Elementalism - lightning, fire, wind and earth.

Name:
Damien Castellane
Age: 52
Gender: Male
Species: Lutetian Human

Bio/Synopsis: Damien Castellane, formerly Damien Brodeur, is the husband of Evangeline Castellane of Castellane International, and father to Alveré and Valère Castellane. He himself is from a line of old-money necromancers, and works as a part-time private doctor (purely out of a personal desire to, as he has no financial need for the work). Damien is an eccentric and spirited man who has aged very well, his hair graying but remaining full, and his excellent physique maintained through an almost excessively healthy lifestyle. This is only accentuated by his impeccable sense of style.

He has an occasionally somewhat juvenile sense of humour, and an almost unshakably positive attitude. His laughter is hearty and frequent, something somewhat uncommon in his typically more morbid necromantic circles.

Abilities:

  • Necromancy - Damien is a highly accomplished necromancer, well respected for his talents within the community.

VbueRAS.png
Name:
Ciela Natrisse
Age: 197
Gender: Female
Species: Elf (Sylvali)

Bio/Synopsis: Ciela was a scout captain in Tai'emroth's army during the time of the fall in Aelora. She first encountered the Elysian Vanguard in the fallen city of Amarathia, where they had taken refuge from their enemies in another realm. After making contact with the new-born order of heroes, she aided them in travelling to Tai'emroth, and thence to finding the knowledge they needed to bring the Sealed One to his ultimate end.

After the war, though she spent several years helping with reconstruction efforts, she has since travelled to Valore to join the Vanguard herself. She's been with the order for near two years now, often working alongside her former comrade in arms, Ruan.

Abilities:

  • Bladesinging - Ciela is a master of dual swords, and weaves them together with magic in perfect harmony. She can empower her blades with various elemental or other magical effects, and utilises magic to protect herself and enhance her movements in combat.

JBKcBmk.jpg
Name:
Kallis Winters
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Species: Cambion

Bio/Synopsis: Kallis was the result of a union between his mother (a warlock by the name of Vera) with her archfiend patron. The terms of their pact were simple: he would grant her power, and in return, she would raise their child as an agent for him on the mortal planes, empowered by his own blood.

Neither of them counted on the intervention of a hero by the name of Taima, who sought out and vanquished Vera before she could put her newfound power to use. The child, she took pity on. Though Vera's pact had forged an irrevocable link between him and the fiend, it had not removed his free will. He could grow into a good man despite his origins.

In pursuit of this, Taima arranged for Kallis to be raised by an order of elementalists based in the Caldonian barrens, to be guided towards a better path than the one laid out for him at birth.

The Order of Elemental Harmony (or the Harmonian Ascetics) are an order devoted to the ideal of total mastery of the four elements. In practice, most elementalists can master only a single element, due to the extreme contrast in the necessary ways of thought to attune to the different elemental planes. The Order of Elemental Harmony ostensibly seeks to surpass that limitation, and in doing so achieve enlightenment.

Kallis was raised without knowledge of his heritage until his powers manifested, as those who raised him could not predict what effect his birthright would have on him, and held out hope to raise him into a normal life. He was a good child, albeit a strange one. Often brooding and quick to anger, he learned to temper himself under his guardians' guidance.

As he grew, so too did the link between him and his father grow. He discovered power of a like that humans did not possess, the ability to call on demonic power and blades forged in the fires of hell. When they could no longer keep his nature from him, the elementalists sought to help him master it.

Core among the tenets of the Harmonians are austerity, restraint and self-discipline. One must master one's emotions and desires before one can master the elements, for one must be able to control one's nature as easily as one's expression in order to balance the elements against one another. These tenets served Kallis well, for the self-discipline they taught him was effective at keeping his dark heritage in check. The teachings of austerity and restraint gave him the self-awareness to be conservative with his use of his powers, lest he become reliant on them, or corrupted by them.

Now, though, Kallis feels his blood growing in power. In recent months his dreams have been a clash of serene visions of icy mountains with a temple nestled therein, and hellfire, a looming silhouette standing over him with a vice-like grip upon his soul.

And so he seeks the temple from his dreams. Though in idleness, it seems inevitable that his nature will catch up with him, he hopes that in the service of a light greater than his father's darkness, he can find salvation.

Abilities:

  • Pact Blades - nigh on unbreakable and eternally sharp, the blades that Kallis can conjure are like extensions of his own body. In his hands, they all-but wield themselves. Both blades can wreathe themselves in hellish flames.
    • Sanguis - Kallis' saber, Sanguis sates itself with blood, be it the blood of its victims or Kallis' own. By drinking in blood, Sanguis can enhance Kallis' strength and speed with the vitality of pure life-essence.
    • Oblivion - Kallis' arming sword, Oblivion, sates itself with magical power. Oblivion can drink magical energy from a source of magical power such as a spellcaster or a spell, or Kallis himself, draining power from them to enhance Kallis' strength and speed.
  • Pact Magic - the magic granted by Kallis' heritage cannot be used for extended periods, but is powerful in short bursts.
    • Command - compulsions that briefly compel a target to follow a simple order.
    • Darkness - the creation of zones of magical darkness, the utter absence of light.
    • Mirror Image - the creation of illusory doubles.
    • Spider Climb - the ability to temporarily cling to surfaces like a spider.
    • Bladestorm - the conjuration of numerous minor pact blades to assault foes.
  • Pact Powers - innate powers granted by Kallis' heritage.
    • Armor of Shadows - Kallis is naturally protected by a demonic aura, turning away minor blows.
    • Otherworldly Leap - Kallis can leap great distances with bursts of force.
    • Beast Speech - Kallis can speak with animals, though they tend to fear him.
    • Devil's Sight - Kallis can see perfectly in darkness, be it natural or most forms of magical darkness.

Name:
Isa Aldana
Age: 24
Gender: Female
Species: Human, Orlesian

Bio/Synopsis: Isa's mother and father were an odd couple, the former a rogue mage in hiding from the church and the latter a simple surgeon for a small town in Orlesia's countryside. Adaia, her mother, was a woman of fiery temperament and surprising tenacity who had spent much of her younger years defying the laws that required mages to register with the Guild.

Adaia met Cyrion, Isa's father, after a confrontation with an Inquisitor left her badly wounded. She staggered into Aldrinton, Cyrion's home town, and collapsed in the road, later to wake up in Cyrion's surgery. They fell in love over the course of her recovery, and Adaia settled down in the small town, keeping her magic as secret as she was able.

Isa was their first child, and was born with her mother's gift for magic. Adaia took it upon herself to train Isa to both master and hide her talent, whilst Cyrion taught her his trade with the intent that she would take over from him when the time came. They had one other child, Isa's younger brother Arin.

Isa never developed a passion for surgery, however. Stories of her mother's exploits and of heroes from the war occupied her mind far more than thoughts of healing and a quiet life. And so when recruiters for the Reaper's Eye passed through Aldrinton, she signed on with them without her parents’ knowledge (and much to their dismay).

Isa spent several years with the mercenary company, but found them to be far from what she had imagined. Though she was trained further with both her magic and her weapon of choice, a polearm that had belonged to her grandfather on her mother’s side and provided with protection from the Inquisition, much of the action she saw was protecting merchant caravans from bandits, guard-work in cities or bullying small communities into hiring ‘protection’ for their villages.

It was far from the life she’d envisioned. At twenty, after three years with the mercenaries, she took her leave from them and sought another path. She had heard that the Elysian Vanguard, the heroes that had reclaimed Aelora from the void, were looking for new members. And so she travelled to their base of operations in the neighbouring nation of Amarathia to make her name there.

In the years that followed, she has trained with the Vanguard and attained the status of Warden. Though hardened from her years both as a mercenary and with the Vanguard, she retains some of the spunk and the eagerness to prove herself that she had as a younger woman – it is, however, tempered by that experience.

Abilities:

  • Spellstriking – the use of magical energy to enhance physical attacks.
  • Arcane Magic – a limited repertoire of arcane spells, such as:
    • Lightning/Flame Magic
    • Force Magic (limited self-propulsion, weapon enhancement, magic missiles)
    • Abjuration Magic (shielding, dispelling)

AtoLFVe.jpg
Name:
Kinra
Age: 109
Gender: Male
Species: Sylvae

Bio/Synopsis: The second son of Oronel, the Lord of Thorns, Kinra is a powerful sylvae who commands a great deal of authority within his Court. However, unlike his elder brother Alorel - the child of Oronel and his Lady of Thorns, Andra - Kinra is the result of a tryst between Oronel and Nicola, the Lady of Flowers.

Such trysts are not taboo amongst sylvae culture, and in fact are touted as a way of ensuring the courts remain at harmony with one another, whilst never stagnating and becoming static. Many a time has the child of two courts gone on to found their own court, with aspects of both their parents' courts and yet clearly distinct from them.

As a child of Thorns and Flowers, Kinra is a being of dual aspects. Titled the Prince of Roses, the majority of the time he is a kind and gentle soul who takes after his mother. But alongside that peace-loving and sweet nature is a steely resolve and unforgiving sword-arm for those that incur his ire.

Kinra was born during the Void Blight on Aelora, and served as one of the Knights of the Court of Thorns alongside many of his kin, protecting the Glade from the innumerable attempted incursions by the Sealed One's minions. The Glade as most knew it fell during the wars, but the inner core - the sanctum where the Courts themselves had retreated to - was never taken.

It is for the reason of their vital importance during the war that the Court of Thorns remains the most powerful faction in Sylvae society to this day, and Sylvae society as a result is more militant than it ever was before the fall (though progress is being made towards restoring balance, albeit slowly).

Kinra was left uncertain of his place when the Void was pushed back. The Sylvae as a whole immediately sought to turn inwards once they had reclaimed the Glade again, determining that they should put up more and more barriers to the outside to prevent such a thing ever happening again. Not all were satisfied with this, and Kinra was amongst them.

Along with a number of his comrades from during the war, Kinra left the Glade and sought out the Elysian Vanguard. His heart longed to see Aelora as a whole restored, not just the Glade, so that he might see the beauty that the Court of Memories spoke of when they spoke of Aelora before the fall. The Court of Flowers are known for their wanderlust and desire to experience new beauty, after all.

Over the better part of half a century, Kinra has made a name for himself with the Vanguard, achieving the status of Grandmaster just over fifteen year ago.

Now, he has answered the call of the Valoran Vanguard for warriors. With Aelora on the road to recovery, he could not resist the lure of new experiences and new beauty in another world entirely.

Appearance: Like many Sylvae, Kinra appears far younger than his actual age - closer to sixeen than a hundred. His form is slight and dainty like that of a child, and his features are near as youthful. This is in part due to how he perceives himself still very much the 'little brother' when compared to Alorel, and his relatively young age when compared to the lifespans of Sylvae as a whole.

His appearance is more human than many Sylvae, in part due to a desire to fit in amongst the new companions he has found in the Vanguard. His skin is fair but of normal shading, and his hair is a dark brown-black blend with hints of rosey pinks and reds that occasionally catch the eye. His eyes are as variable in shade as all sylvae, but usually rest either at a soft red-brown shade or a more rosey pink.

Abilities:

  • Calongáel - A mighty weapon of Sylvae make, forged from the supernatural wood of a great tree at the heart of the Court of Thorns. Calongáel is the source of much of Kinra's power. Capable of forming into the shape of any weapon that he desires, it possesses immense strength as though it were being wielded by a titan as opposed to a slight Sylvae boy. Nigh on indestructible, Kinra has total command of the weapon, able to manipulate it with his thoughts, multiply it, teleport it and more. So long as he is in possession of the weapon, his durability, speed and strength are all enhanced.
  • Prince of Roses - powers granted to Kinra by his powerful bloodline.
    • Flight
    • Minor-Moderate Illusions
    • Heartsight - the ability to read emotions and tell when a lie is being told with a touch.
    • Plant Manipulation/Growth
    • Beast Speech/Command
    • Wispfire - the creation and manipulation of fiery wisps of primal energy.
    • Radiance - the creation of weaponised blasts of radiant energy, possessing many of the supernatural qualities of sunlight with regard to its effect on vampires and other creatures of darkness.
    • Shield of Thorns - the projection of a barrier that retaliates against attackers.
    • Crown of Flowers - the projection of an aura that shields Kinra and his allies from mental manipulation, and grants supernatural courage and resolve.

Name:
Luca Vasile
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Species: Ocell

Bio/Synopsis (to be refined/finalised): Born with vibrant auburn hair and bright golden eyes, it was clear from the moment he came into the world that Luca was something special. At least, that's what his parents decided. Lauded as having been blessed by [insert sun god here], from a very young age, Luca was expected to be exceptional.

Mounting pressure from all corners - from his parents to his peers - pushed Luca into becoming a fiercely driven and borderline-ruthless high achiever. He threw himself into his studies and his training with zealous fervor, desperate not to let down the lofty expectations placed upon him for no better reason than superstitious (and wishful) interpretation of his hair and eye colour.

It was a self-fulfilling prophecy, in some ways. Luca grew into an impressively talented young man with potent magic and fiery passion, but that was just as much owed to his efforts to impress as to any natural-born inclination.

What that pressure also fostered, however, alongside his determination and drive, was a low-burning resentment and insecurity. "Why does everyone expect so much of me? I don't feel like I've been granted any god's gifts. Are my friends only my friends because of what people say about me? Am I just a status symbol for my parents to parade around?"

These questions, combined with his family's attempts to marry him off against his will, have turned Luca from an all-but-perfectly driven and dedicated child, into a short-tempered and unruly teenager, prone to emotional outbursts and mood swings. Ironically, his mother likes to play it off as '[sun god]'s passion showing through'. This only serves to infuriate him further.

Abilities (to be expanded on):

  • Pyromancy
  • Radiant Magic (Blades of light, sunbreams, light projection, etc.)

ht2ZPMG.jpg
Name: Morgalath, Prince of Ravens
Alias: Morgan Lefay (he enjoys the flagrance)
Age: ???
Gender: Male
Species: Fey (Unseelie, Raven Court)

Bio/Synopsis: Morgalath is a high-ranking knight of the Raven Court of fey, sent into the mortal realm with two tasks handed to him by his lady Queen. The first, to locate and return to her the fragment of her power stolen by mortals somewhere in Lutetia. The second, to seek out and slay mortal targets possessed of a quality that the Winter King has ordered eradicated.

Though Morgalath is ancient beyond mortal reckoning, time has little meaning in the fey realm - often seeming to move in cycles, unerringly static despite simultaneously being whimsical and capricious. As a result, he has not the breadth of knowledge and wisdom that one might expect of a truly ancient entity, locked as he is into the role of a prince, bold yet inexperienced.

As an Unseelie fey, he tends towards sadism and malice, but this is not categorical. He considers mortals beneath him, but as a result is unlikely to actively seek their destruction unless shown particular disrespect, in the same way one tends to ignore a fly unless it makes an annoyance of itself.

Abilities:

  • Carrion Call: Morgalath can communicate with and command carrion birds: crows, ravens, magpies, vultures and the like.
  • Shadow Manipulation: Darkness dances at Morgalath's whim, forming weapons and illusions, or even shadowy servitors and simulacrums.
  • Touch of the Abyss: Morgalath can bring about death by draining the very life force of a creature using prolonged contact.
  • Form of the Flock: Morgalath can transform into a raven, or a flock of ravens.
  • Shadow Form: Morgalath can assume a form of pure shadow, and teleport between shadows instantaneously.

Name:
William Lacoste
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Species: Lutetian Human (Witch)

Bio/Synopsis: Will is a fun-loving and free spirited young man, more interested in having a good time than in anything so lofty as personal growth or achievement. Though he has vague aspirations to being a professional journalist or illustrator, his family's fortune is enough that he can live comfortably without really bothering. Will's father owns a majority share in several newspapers and television channels in Lutetia, and comfortably provides for all his children to live the lives they choose.

Currently in his final year at Academie Delacroix, Will excels in those subjects that he finds interesting whilst bombing in anything he can't be bothered with. During math class he can more often be found several miles away in a coffee shop than at his desk.

A socialite by nature, Will does his best to avoid acting pompous or arrogant, and has friends from all walks of life (though biased towards the wealthy, by merit of where he's been brought up). Whilst at times he can be bratty, he has a good sense of humour and knows how to laugh at himself, and his confidence and charisma are infectious.

Will's mother is a witch of considerable talent, and though he's never had a passion for magic, he certainly appreciates its convenience. He often complacently utilises magic to fold his clothes, reheat his coffee, and clean his flat: generally as a tool to enable his laziness.

Name:
Vex
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Species: Terran Human

Height: 5' 2"
Weight: 103 lbs

Bio/Synopsis: Vex used to just be a small-time (is that a short joke?!) cat burglar, hitting the middle class neighbourhoods of Westeria City to make quick bucks in support of a drug habit. That was before he hit the home of an old collector named Lindy-Anne Jones. Amongst Jones's collection was a ceremonial fox mask and blade with Losenyu origins, thought to have belonged to a long-since forgotten cult to a powerful fox spirit.

When Vex stole them, on a whim he decided to try the mask on. When he did, the spirit inhabiting the mask flared to life and joined with him, infusing him with its essence. This ancient trickster, a kitsune named Kaemon, is now as much a part of Vex as the original Vex is.

Vex has gone from a timid and jumpy addict, to a mischievous and daring prankster with a fondness for anarchy. His powers are still bound to his mask, and so he's seldom seen without it.

Since the evacuation of Westeria, he's been spending most of his time solo amongst the ruined portions of the city, largely staying away from the influence of the more organised factions.

Abilities (while masked):

  • Hyper-Enhanced Agility - Vex can perform superhuman acrobatics, has reflexes like a cat on steroids, and can tread as lightly as a feather tied to a helium balloon.
  • Illusions - Vex has a limited repertoire of illusory powers, such as creating illusory clones of himself, disguising himself as others, and etcetera.
  • Foxfire - Vex can wreathe his blade in spirit fire, burning the bodies and spirits of those he strikes with it.
  • Trickster's Spirit - Vex is resilient to effects that would alter his mental state or emotions, due to the existing influence of Kaemon.

Name:
Abel Sabatier
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Species: Lutetian Human

Height: 5' 5"
Weight: 118 lbs

Bio/Synopsis: Abel's parents moved to Westeria from Lutetia City when he was only ten, after his father - Leonard Sabatier - was recruited to teach medical biomancy at Academia Celestia, and he's lived in the city ever since. Though a student of Academia Celestia, Abel chose to live at home and commute with his father instead of taking board at the school, largely out of shyness.

When the Aschen attacked Westeria, Abel and his family were at their home in western Azure heights. Their house was destroyed in the bombings, and Abel was the only survivor. After spending days searching the rubble for his parents, he eventually found their bodies. Feeling lost, he latched onto one idea: that if they'd survived, his parents would have been helping survivors, not running away. So when the evacuations took place, he stayed behind to keep helping the injured.

Since then, he's been 'recruited' by the WVG as a healer. It's not an arrangement he's altogether comfortable with, given the growing authoritarian bent of the faction, but he's stuck with it. 'Defection', as they call it, is not an option.

Abilities:

  • Biomancy - the manipulation of a person's body. Largely only possible through physical contact, biomancy is immensely useful in surgery and medicine, allowing for precise manipulation of a person's body normally only possible with highly advanced equipment. Less useful in combat due to its range, it can nonetheless be dangerous with prolonged contact.
  • Arcane Magic - more general, multi-purpose magic learned as part of basic courses in Celestia. Ranging from minor telekinesis, to the generation of light, and other minor cantrips of that nature.

i3Gx8M1.jpg
Name:
Adam Locke
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Species: Terran Human

Height: 6'
Weight: 152lbs

Bio/Synopsis: Adam is a graduate of Academia Everia with a degree in advanced battlemagic. Prior to the attack on Westeria, he had been a WCPD officer for three years, serving as part of a heavy response team specialised in tackling violent superhuman or magical suspects for the last two. Now, he's a member of the Westeria Volunteer Guard, as one of its higher ranking enforcers.

Abilities:

  • Energy Projection - Adam can unleash focused bolts and beams of pure magical energy, delivering explosive impacts and extreme heat. He can also form barriers and shields of energy.
  • Magikinesis - Adam can use his magic to remotely manipulate objects up to around the weight of the average car with relative ease.

3Y64bCG.jpg
Name:
Warren Fields
Age: 32
Gender: Male
Species: Terran Metahuman

Height: 6' 4"
Weight: 231 lbs

Bio/Synopsis: After having entered the WCPD police academy as soon as he finished school at eighteen, Warren is a veteran of both the WCPD (for five years) and the NPA (for nine), in both cases acting as part of an armed response team (akin to SWAT). In this time he's dealt with riots, zombie attacks, drug busts, rogue mages and dragons. As a result, very little phases him nowadays. He was amongst the founding members of the WVG, having served alongside Special Agent Sophia Harte in the past and holding a great deal of respect for her. With the WVG he acts alternately as a squad leader for salvage operations, and as a high ranking security officer for their perimeter.

Abilities:

  • Spectrum Vision - Warren can adjust his vision to register any of the elements of the electromagnetic spectrum, or multiple different ones at the same time.

Doe2ZIR.jpg
Name: Alexander Savatier
Alias: Ghast
Age: 22 (reanimated at 17)
Gender: Male
Species: Human (Reanimated)

Bio/Synopsis: Alex grew up the eldest son of a family living on the edges of Vargeras. His parents were not good people, but they loved him and his little brother Tommy - more so than they loved each other, for their marriage had been one brought about by an unplanned pregnancy rather than true love. His father worked as a used car salesman, whilst his mother stayed at home to care for them until they were old enough to attend school, then started work in retail.

Given the neighbourhood he grew up in, and his parents' less than stellar upbringing, it was little wonder that Alex fell in with youth gangs as he grew. He spent more and more time out on the streets, causing trouble and getting into it. He tried to keep Tommy away from such things, but his little brother wanted so desperately to be like him that it was a futile cause.

Life was something approaching normal until five years ago, when Tommy disappeared.

It wasn't the first disappearance in the area. Other children from street gangs, as well as homeless people, had been vanishing for the last few months. When Tommy vanished, Alex took it on himself to search for him. He eventually found him, in the basement of a mad necromancer seeking to unlock the secrets of Tiranothian necromancy, who had been in need of test subjects. His little brother was scarcely himself. Tommy was still in there, but his mind was fragmented and borderline feral. Before Alex could rescue him, the necromancer found him. Alex died.

And then he woke up again. He was the necromancer's first success. He was ... not alive, but he was close to it. His body was dead but preserved, functional in some aspects, stronger in others. His mind and soul were wholly intact.

Alex killed the man the first opportunity he got, and fled with Tommy. Their parents had written them off as dead, and when they came back, were terrified and condemned them as monsters.

The church were called. Paladins came.

They eluded them for a time, but eventually the pair of ghouls were caught. Tommy went feral out of fear and was cut down. Alex lashed out in grief, and met the same fate. Their bodies were burned, and their case closed.

Then Alex woke up again.

The magic reanimating him was strong: stronger even than the necromancer had thought. Tommy was not so lucky.

It took him a long time to move past his grief. There are some that would say he still hasn't. He hates the Monastic Order, hates necromancers, and mistrusts the living in general. So he seeks to forge himself a place in the world by creating more of his ken. He's learned to pass on fragments of his curse to the freshly dead or dying, bringing them back as ghouls like him - mind and soul intact.

He now runs a gang by the name of the Revenants. The initiation ceremony is dying, then getting better. Its ranks are composed of the disenfranchised, the hateful and the hopeless, given new life in death. No longer having to worry about food or sleep makes life easier, after all.

One day, they'll bring down the society that considers them monsters. Until then? They'll loiter on street corners, brush shoulders with the living undetected, and expand.

Alex can be patient.
