Silver Threads [1x1]

The jaguar was exhausted when she finally got to the broken down building. Bruises and cuts covered her upper body, and her muscles ached terribly. It was a miracle that she didn't give out somewhere in the city. With her bag in her mouth, the jaguar lifted her head and gave a low roar, hoping that the sound wouldn't alert any unsavory strangers.

The feline looked back at the little girl and saw how sad and dirty she was. She snorted and figured it would be a reality check, feeling no sympathy for her new appearance. She sat down and immediately focused herself to sit up striaght. Her arms shivered and the pain was quick to make itself known, but she stayed still nonetheless.

A few minutes after the small roar, a chittering sound came from the lower parts of the house. They echoed for a moment, then when the source of the noise came closer to a large hole in the wall with wood boards covering it up, the creature that made the noises came forth: a medium sized raccoon. The masked creature tilted its head in confusion before seeing the black feline, which then made the raccoon run to the cat with high chitters.

It jumped up and latched itself around the jaguar's neck, but the pain made the large cat roar in pain. The raccoon backed away with lowered ears, as if wondering what the problem was. Suddenly, the mammal sniffed the air and chirped to itself before turning its head to the little girl. Its eyes widened and it leaped a few inches into the air, before bristling its fur and snarling at the girl and her dog with bared teeth. It approached the dog like a vicious animal, but the jaguar stepped forward and placed a paw in front of the masked mammal. She snarled and shook her head, then walked to the hole in the wall and passed through it, disappearing and leaving the three out there by themselves.
