Appearance: Gabriel is a tall boy for his age, around 5'10" and still growing. He's impossibly lanky, and uses this to his advantage in basketball, where he plays centre. He's strong enough for sports, but not strong enough for combat. He is conventionally attractive, with short blonde hair that's styled in a modern quiff, thought the styling will fail overtime and become more plain and bland. He has medium sized blue eyes with impressively short eyelashes. He has a warm, somewhat tanned skin tone from playing basketball outside, but it's still obvious that he's the kid of two really pale people. For a teen, he has surprisingly clear skin, with only one or two pimples every once and a while, and they're usually easily and quickly dealt with. His clothes are average, wearing faded denim jeans and a black t-shirt along with some worn black trainers.
Personality: Gabe is a really sweet guy. He always wants the best for the people that he meets, so you can imagine the guilt that he felt when he became one of the main reasons that the Ulladie virus started to spread. Ever since he got sick, he's been more secluded than he would normally be. He's soft spoken and kind, but doesn't know when to stand up for himself.
History and Current State: Gabe is originally the son of a man and a woman with extreme alcohol, drug, and gambling addictions who fought regularly and violently. Before he could even walk, his mother and father got into an alcohol and drug fuelled fight, and their neighbours called the police due to the sheer volume of it. However, by the time the police arrived, Gabe's mother had already killed his father with a kitchen knife.
Obviously, baby Gabe couldn't live in such a situation. His mother was tried and given a life sentence, only escaping the death penalty since it wasn't premeditated. Baby Gabe was sent to an adoption centre, where he lived until he was two. He was then adopted by a gay couple, a surgeon and a musician/house-husband. He was their third adopted child, with two older brothers, and eventually two younger brothers.
All would have been okay, had they not lived in a very religious, rich neighbourhood who believed their pastor's word like it was the law. Starting in the 2nd Grade, the more popular kids would tease Gabe because of his parents. This continued into the 7th Grade, when a new kid came to school. His name was Grant, and he was a good looking, muscular and charismatic guy who quickly somersaulted to the top of the school's hierarchy. Noticing how Gabe was being bullied, Grant quickly put a stop to it. That would have been the end of it, had Gabe and Grant not ended up in the basketball team together in the 8th Grade. Two years on now, they've become best friends, and Gabe is more popular than the people that tormented him.
When they were choosing their subjects to continue on, Gabe had a free space. He'd chosen Physics, Chemistry, Geography and PE, but didn't know what to take for the final spot. He was a good enough singer, and could play a little bit of the piano and the guitar. So, he took Music as his final subject. Soon enough, the music teacher noticed that Gabe had a brilliant voice, and practically forced him into the school choir. Though he was teased a little for this, Grant would always stop them from going too far.
The problems arose when Gabe was given a solo for one of the songs that the choir would be performing at the school's arts display. It was a solo with a particularly high note at the end, when the rest of the choir came in. For the longest time, Gabe couldn't hit it, but he begged to keep the solo. As the date for the display came close, something happened. Gabe could suddenly hit the note, every time, perfectly. Not one to look a gift horse in the mouth, he just kept on practicing and finally, it was time for the concert.
The finale came, and Gabe took the stage for his solo. The final note came...and something went wrong. The note was high, too high for anyone to ever hit normally. Windows shattered, peoples ears bled, and many people were deafened. Some people even ended up dying from the sound. Anyone that survived was infected. Gabe miraculously avoided this, but he watched his older brother Mason go down, along with his best friend Grant. Realising that there was something horribly wrong with him, he ran out of the fire exit, escaping to the outskirts of the city. The disease was only spread to the extent that it is now because of what happened with Gabe. Because of his accidental murder of twenty-three people and the deafening of over one hundred, he is highly wanted with a large bounty on his head.

Appearance: Though she wishes she was taller, Heidi is 5'5". She is 140lbs, with most of her weight sitting in her stomach rather than her chest or thighs. She isn't athletic, but she is strong enough to hold her own if she's attacked, thanks to the Musclitu strain in her veins. She has dark brown, nearly black hair that sits under her shoulder blades, though she is more often seen with it in a braid. She has sharp, thin eyes that are a light blue colour. She has an icy skin tone, somewhere between pale and normal with a noticeable cold undertone like she has ice trapped under the very surface of her skin. She has freckles all over her face, arms and legs, as well as a mole under her right eye. Her favourite outfit is a pair of ripped jeans, a black tank top (usually with her bra straps on show), a red flannel tied around her waist and a black beanie. When it comes to jewellery, she likes to go all out. She has both of her ears pierced, usually with little silver hoops. Along with that, she has a helix piercing in her left ear, in another silver hoop. She has one more piercing in her ear, which is a silver industrial bar in her left ear again - along with this, there is a scar underneath this bar from a past fight.
Personality: Heidi is a fun-loving girl, but that doesn't mean she's all too bright in day-to-day circumstances. She usually acts quite aggressive to outsiders to the group she normally hangs about with, but loves a good joke with the people that she knows. She lives her life not caring what others think, a rebel without a cause. She gets by through taking jobs wherever she can, having never fared well in times where she needs to obey to an authority. She thrives in difference and distinctly hates and usually abandons most anything that she doesn't find immediately fulfilling or fun. To an outsider, she looks like your typical rebellious teenager, which she is really quite like.
When it comes to her deepness, there isn't much to say. What you see of her is what you get, and getting to know her will only really reveal that she is fond of the small and helpless. She is always eager to take someone under her wing and introduce them to her wild and crazy, but admittedly very irresponsible life, but if she finds that they're not up to scratch or if they're not willing to go the whole way, she won't hesitate to drop them from her side due to her impatient attitude. She doesn't think about things before she does them and is pretty dim. If she does think about something, the conclusion is usually just the same, since she's not too good at thinking things through.
Along with her aggressive attitude, Heidi is always eager to fight and prove herself. If someone attacks her pride, she won't hesitate to attack them, even if she doesn't think that it won't turn out in her favour. The only time she ever seems calm is when someone calls her by her full name, as she is usually too baffled to do much else than stare at them, since she doesn't usually tell people her name. As soon as the shock wears off, she becomes even angrier, as she doesn't trust anyone with personal information about her.
History and Current State: Heidi was born to a single teenage mother. She lived a rather average life all through her young years, consisting mostly of playing football and playing outside, until she got into high school. She met new people, those people having not been the best influences on her. She lost her interest in sports, and this gave her more time to drink and smoke. Her new friends usually hung out at the old skateboarding park, and when they weren't getting drunk or high they would skateboard, so Heidi started to do it too. At this time, her new friends started to tease her about her name, as they saw it as really posh. Because of this, she now tells people her name is Malone.
She was caught multiple times by the police, but never got in any prison time because she never had any illegal drugs on her. What she did have on her only ever got her warnings and carted off to the police station, and whenever her mum tried to reprimand her it would just end in a fight, which meant that Heidi would leave home and not come back for a few days. Heidi dropped out of school when she turned 16 after failing her exams and picked up an odd job at a corner store so that her mum would stop pestering her. Even still, she wouldn't be home often and spent most of the money that she earned on alcohol and cigarettes. Soon enough, she left home and didn't come back again, staying at her older boyfriends apartment.
She contracted the virus through a social gathering of sorts. Heidi, her boyfriend Sam, and their friend group of around ten people all gathered in the woods, cleared out an area and started a bonfire. There were five bottles of strong wine to pass around, which was a breeding ground for the disease. Within ten minutes, everyone in the group became infected, though of course none of them knew it yet.
The symptoms started to show around five hours later, when the smoke from their bonfire attracted police attention. The group ran, and suddenly Heidi found she could run much stronger and faster than before. She was leading the group, which was odd, as she hadn't been that good a runner before. Behind her, the group began to panic - they were hearing voices, spitting madly, smelling everything from the old stench of smoke to the sweat on every person. Some of them started to fall back in their panic, which lead to them being caught by the police. Three of the group escaped back to Sam's house, them being Heidi, Sam, and one of their friends called Robin. All of them had unknowingly been infected with the Musclitu strain, which they all chalked up to the adrenaline. They went their separate ways, hoping to avoid the police and also that their friends wouldn't snitch.
It would be a few more weeks until Heidi or Sam noticed anything was up. All week, they'd had these horrible muscle pains that had kept them both off work. Caving in, Sam decided to go to the doctors to ask for help. He never came home, and Heidi received a letter notifying her that Sam's symptoms were indicative of a new disease, and that she may have been infected. She was advised to come to the hospital to get herself checked. Heidi decided not to go. She had been feeling alright, and plus, they didn't need a second hospital bill to pay for.
A couple of days later, when she didn't show up to the hospital, a pair of Disease Agents came to the apartment door. Heidi opened it to menacing blue suits. Heidi asked lots of questions before even thinking of going with them, and one of them ended up losing their temper. She drew her taser, and without even thinking Heidi lashed out with her hand and easily shattered the gun. This escalated to a full on fight, which ended with Heidi knocking the two DAs out. Afraid of her newfound powers, Heidi collected all of the money in the apartment and ran to the skatepark, and eventually out of town.
