This is an RP based off the movie Frozen, featuring Queen Elsa and an OC named Leuan, by @york and @Klutzy Ninja Kitty
Main Characters Include:
Queen Elsa (played by Klutzy Ninja Kitty)
Leuan (played by york)
By the single light of a candle, Elsa was reading alone deep within Castle Arendelle's library. The curtains of the room were drawn, so pitch black darkness filled the area save for the small spot lit up by her lone candle. Solitude at it's finest, just the way the icy queen liked it. Especially on today of all days when she was trying to be alone on purpose. Elsa was attempting to stay away from all the men who were downstairs waiting to meet her, aka suitors whom had been invited into the castle.

Queen Elsa had come of age and her entire kingdom was expecting her to find them a new king. She had been putting this off for quite some time now, dreading the day when she would have to find a husband. Elsa was strong when it came to the wisdom she used to lead her people, but when it came down to human interaction she was very flawed. Basic human interaction was her biggest weakness. She hardly found it easy to speak with her sister and friends let alone strangers. And men were out of the question! Just the very thought made her chest feel so heavy with anxiety that she could hardly breathe. Elsa didn't like this one bit! And she blamed Anna for it!

Her sister had actually been the one to set up this little party for Elsa to meet these suitors. And some of them had come from so far away that they would probably be staying for weeks in the castle even after the party was over! Anna knew it was important for Elsa to meet a man someday, and knew the queen wasn't going to take the plunge herself.

In the back of her mind, Elsa knew it was important too, but she couldn't fight the nagging feeling she wasn't ready yet. She intended to hide in the library for the entire party, but if for some reason Anna forced her to come downstairs, maybe Elsa could just ignore most of these men? Either that or she could scare them with her ice powers. After all, what man would want someone so... cold... to be their bride? Maybe that plan would work...

Suddenly the curtains in the library flew open. Elsa hissed like a creature of darkness who had just seen light for the first time. Once her vision adjusted to the light in the library, she realized it was Anna who had opened the curtains.

"There you are! I just knew I would find you here, Elsa," Anna chirped with a big cheesy grin. She was wearing a ball gown and obviously ready to head down to the party.

Elsa tried to carry her attention back to the book she had been reading, sticking her nose into the crease of the book. "Yes, here I be. Is there something I can assist you with?"

Anna let out a small laugh and walked over to Elsa, snatching the book away from her. "Oh don't play dumb! You know the party downstairs is starting soon. I've come to collect you. You need to get ready and come downstairs. There are a lot of people waiting to meet you. And there's chocolate!"

Elsa groaned in the back of her throat, reaching out to try and grab the book Anna had taken which was just out of her reach. "O-Oh, that's today? I'm afraid that I'm," Elsa paused to cough into a hand, "feeling a bit ill today. Perhaps you should send them away. Tell them I'm very, very sorry."

Anna simply smiled and shook her head, dropping the book to grab Elsa's hands and force her to her feet. "You can tell them yourself when you go downstairs and see them at the party! You have to go! Like I said, there's chocolate." she said with a grin. "Honestly, Elsa, you can't fool me! I know you're just trying to get out of going down there. You've gotta face those men sooner or later, Elsa. You know what they say, you'll never learn to swim if you don't get in the water!"

Anna began to drag her sister out of the library, while Elsa squirmed like a wet cat. "A-Anna! No! I command you to let me go!"

"I'm your sister. Sorry, but your queenly authority has no power here!" Anna teased, pulling her along. "Time for the ball!"

Leuan was in a rather grumpy mood today, the original job he was offered said nothing about having to attend a ball! Granted they at least found him a suit that didn't clash with with his snow white hair, but he had a serious problem with his scratchy and tight the thing managed to be. What kind of sane person would be caught dead wearing something like this?! Well, him, the infamous "Black Snow" a renowned Assassin of course, him and the rest of the men that had shown up to this castle to attempt to get hitched with the queen, Elsa. Truth to be told, he didn't have a clue why the King of Weselton wanted her dead in the first place, something about foiling some convoluted plot of his or something blah blah blah, make sure she's dead and bring back something to prove it... All he needed to know was his target and what he'd do, but what he didn't expect was to have to do well... This! How was HE, Black Snow one of the most deadliest assassins around supposed to win the heart of Elsa, the soon to be Queen of Arandelle, it would have been so much easier if his mission was just to kill her, but oh no, he had to MARRY HER as well.
Strangely enough though, he didn't really feel in the mood to kill Elsa, I mean sure she was his target, but she hasn't really done anything to hurt anyone, well, other than that little "Eternal Winter" incident. Though really, it wasn't like Hans nor his accomplice, the Duke of Weselton himself helped one bit, in fact, come to think of it, rumor has it they almost made it worse which was why Weselton was so infamous these days in the first place... Leuan shook his head a little, that was none of his concern right now, all he needed to do was do his job and he'd be fed, that was all. At any rate, he's already too ingrained on the wanted list to back out now, so it's not like he had much of a choice in the matter. He sighed a little "Why does it have to be me..." he grumbled to himself, watching as the large crowd of Bachelors assemble near the area the Queen was going to show up at soon, he stood to the side of all of them, leaning against a nearby pillar trying to put on a friendly face as much as possible, but he only succeeded in an almost neutral expression; he still looked a little grumpy.

Elsa grudgingly allowed herself to be surrounded by maids who helped her prepare for the ball. The helped her put on a pale blue dress, tuck her hair into a neat bun, and lastly they did her makeup. They handed her a mirror after they had finished and the queen frowned upon looking in it. Her self esteem wasn't so low that she couldn't admit that she did indeed look nice. She looked very nice. But that was the problem. If she looked this nice then the men were surely going to stare at her! Elsa didn't like this one bit. She had to do something to make this easier on herself.
Once Elsa was fully prepared for the party, Anna entered the room to check up on her. "You look gorgeous!" she cried. "And I'm sure the men will think so too," she added with a wink.
Elsa frowned, tucking a lock of platinum blonde hair that had fallen loose from her bun behind her ear. "That's what I'm afraid of," she mumbled with a sigh. "You're making this really hard on me, Anna. Don't I get any say in this?"
Anna paused thoughtfully. "You can have any say you want as long as it ends in you going to the party!" she said with a laugh.
Elsa said nothing for a moment, thinking before she finally spoke. "I think I have a way that would make going much more comfortable to me." She smirked. "But I don't think you'll like it."
Anna sat in a chair next to her sister. "Okay, fine, I'll hear you out..."
-A bit later-
Anna arrived in the party area before Elsa did, sighing as she pulled out a note to read to the guests, a note written by Elsa. She cleared her throat before speaking. "Attention guests, I have an announcement to make. The queen has indeed arrived at the party, but there has been a slight change in plans. She's wearing a disguise. The first man who finds her gets to dance with her," the girl chirped. She honestly didn't think it was a good idea, but yes, it was what Elsa had wanted.
Standing back in the crowd, Elsa was there. She was dressed as a maid, wearing a dark brown wig to hide her hair, and a maid's uniform instead of her dress. Many may have thought it strange for Elsa to dress such a way even if they were to find her. Elsa hoped that many of the men would be turned off by her appearance and might leave even upon knowing this. And lucky for Elsa, Anna didn't realize her sister's secret plan. She simply thought it was a game. But with any luck, none of the men would find her at all. It's what Elsa hoped for.

The sudden appearance of Elsas sister, Anna caught Leuan's attention, it meant that Elsa was arriving after all, so he made a bigger effort to smile, this time he ended up seeming to have a neutral expression on his face. He still leaned against the pillar as he listened to Anna's announcement "A disguise huh... How ironic." he thought to himself, whether anyone suspected him or not, Elsa wasn't the only one with a disguise, except his probably wasn't so elaborate, but since no-one's seen his facial features nor his hair, he didn't have a problem going to the ball like this. His eyes scanned the crowd in front of him, trying to spot who amongst them would be Elsa, the one he was supposed to woo, so far, everyone looked normal. However upon a second glance at the crowd, he caught sight of one of the maids, she didn't look too different from the others, but he could have sworn she seemed a little more nervous than the rest, the ones here were usually pretty cheerfull versus the ones he was used to back at King Weselton's castle.
There were two possibilities here; either the King from Arandelle hired a maid from Weselton or something, or... She was none other than the socially awkward Elsa of Arandelle herself, he wasn't very certain about his pick, but it was worth a shot. He wasn't sure if any other bachelors would go for her as well, but considering how far back she was, he wasn't so sure too many would do the same as he did, perhaps hanging back had been a good choice on his part really, but it wasn't like it mattered too much. Now, all he had to do was not completely lose his cool being stuck in this outfit and all, but it was easier said than done, after all, even if that maid was somehow miraculously who he suspected she was, he didn't even know how to dance! How in the world was he supposed to pull this off... Soon enough, after fuming a little more, Leuan gathered up his courage and slowly approached the maid he had spotted earlier, and for some reason, he felt rather nervous, now this was a surprise indeed since he'd never felt nervous on one of his missions before, not in a while at least.

Elsa stood back away from the others, pleased when the men began to approach different maids and tried to talk among themselves to figure out who the queen was after Anna's announcement. She was pleased. At first, nobody seemed to be approaching her. In fact, all of the men were going to speak with more of the friendlier maids rather than Elsa, who was actually being rather quiet. She even turned her back away from the others for a moment or two, pretending to clean off one of the tables like she was an actual maid. But to be honest, Elsa had no cleaning skills to save her life. She even ended up bumping over a vase of flowers as she tried to clean.
And to make matters worse, one of the men started to approach her just at that moment. She tried to ignore him, but his snow white hair was pretty hard not to look at. Elsa swallowed before quickly trying to compose herself. She couldn't act shy or awkward; if she acted that way people might suspect her more.
Conceal. Conceal. Conceal.
"Can I help you, sir?" Elsa finally said, managing to find her voice somehow. She tried to pick up the vase she had knocked over, attempting to make herself still look busy. She tried not to look at the man too much either. The last thing she wanted was to speak with any of these people for too long.

Leuan stopped for a moment seeing the maid trying to pick up a vase which she had knocked over, it seemed she was having more trouble with it than most maids would, but looking around briefly, he realized no-one else was approaching her. Though before he could even try to come up with some sort of polite greeting, the maid, who he was really starting to suspect was Elsa spoke, asking if she could help him, and unfortunately for Leuan, he was more or less at a loss for words. "Well... I-" He stopped for a moment before he sounded too blunt, he wasn't sure that was how he was supposed to win over someones heart, but in either case, he needed to think of something fast "I was just wondering if you needed some help?" he said. What felt odd to him was that his words were catchign in his throat, they shouldn't be! What kind of feeling was this? He certainly hadn't felt anything like it before, but it was probably nervousness. Thinking back to his past, that must have been it, he remembered his first few days in training, that same feeling was there... The tightness in his throat, that uncertainty of what to do, all he had to do was banish that feeling like he did before and he should be good to go, right?
Realizing he seemed quite statue-like the way he was standing there with no expression on his face, he tried to smile a bit, and managed a relatively docile looking one with some effort. What exactly was it that was making him feel so nervous here, he hadn't had this problem before on more tedious jobs before, so what was the difference here? Was it the fact that he was in the kindom of Arandelle again, or maybe because he was in the presense of the soon to be queen herself, in either case, he couldn't escape that feeling no matter how hard he tried to banish it. Slowly, quietly, he let out a breath which helped ease that tension in his chest region, but the feeling of nervousness itself still lingered, now though, at least he could concentrate again, he really hoped he wouldn't blow this operation, this was a very critical moment for him, even if it was just the beginning of his mission.

Wearing a calm, stern facial expression--almost like a mask--Elsa finally peered over her shoulder at the man. It wasn't as if she could keep ignoring him if he spoke to her. That would look suspicious. The maids of Arendelle were trained to be friendly and helpful to guests. If she were to act in any manner other than that she would look very out of place. And that was the last way she wanted to look right now. Elsa simply wanted to blend in, avoid speaking to as many men as possible, and leave the party. If someone found out who she was that would mean she'd have to dance with him, and maybe even other men. She needed to be very careful.
She cleared her throat and looked at the man, suddenly feeling even more nervous. And why was that? Elsa knew right away that she was even more nervous because he was quite nervous. Her mother used to tell her that nerves had a way of feeding on other people's nerves, thus making them worse. Elsa could barely look him in the eye without an uptight, nervous expression on her face. "It's usually my job to ask others that question," Elsa replied to him, straightening the vase on the table. "I've got it covered. If I need help, I'll just call on one of the other maids for assistance. Just enjoy the party, sir," she said, giving him a well-mannered bow.

"Way to keep your cool Leuan..." He thought to himself, clearing his throat a little as he realized he had made this maid more nervous than he was, quickly gethering himself up with a little more determination, he managed to look more calm. Hearing what she said, Leuan realized he might have taken the wrong approach to this entire situation, he wasn't sure whether or not he should just straight up say anything about his thoughts though, and realizing he'd probably be in for alot of embarrassment if he'd guessed wrong, he figured he'd try something else. "Oh... Well... If you don't mind... Would you like to share a dance with me?" He asked her with an inquiring look, the smile came easier now and he managed a more warm one albiet maybe a little awkward. His first impression definitely wasn't the best one, but he really hoped he could figure out some way to improvise from here, and hopefully, his quick thinking did the trick, though he was fighting to keep his cool, he was slowly starting to feel more confident about the situation. Just because he was an assassin didn't mean that he wasn't able to win someones heart, but then again, it was one of the few things he'd never been taught how to do, so he'd have to figure out how it's going to work from here, too bad that king never gave him any specifics, he just said it would "come naturally" which seemed like a lie alltogether right now.

After bowing at the man, Elsa turned back toward the table to continue putting on the facade that she was busy. With any luck, the man would leave her alone now. So long as asking if he could help her wasn't his original intent in approaching her. Elsa had a feeling if he suspected her of being the queen he probably wasn't going to leave her alone so easily. She picked up some silverware off the table, cleaning it with a napkin, only to drop it in surprise when the man asked her to dance with him. Her eyes widened for a moment, but she composed her expression again before looking at him. She smiled politely.
"Oh, sir, I'm flattered, but I'm just a maid. Are you sure you want to dance with me when the queen could be out there somewhere? I'm pretty sure I saw her in front of the stairs," Elsa replied, gesturing to a small crowd who was in front one of the staircases of the castle.
"Please go away," Elsa thought to herself.

Leuan was trying his best not to get nervous again as he saw the maids reaction to his words, was that how they usually reacted? What she said in response made him wonder if she had missed Anna's announcement or something as she seemed to have forgotten that queen Elsa was disguised and wouldn't make her presense seem taht obvious, would she? Something about this entire situation the way the maid made it out to be didn't quite seem right with him, but it looks like he may need to take a more swift approach to the situation "Yeah... Well, it's not like I can dance anyways, so even some practice wouldn't hurt, right?" he asked, putting alot of effort into not showing he felt embarassed about admitting this. However this would give him a better excuse to dance with her, he didn't want to tell her it was also because he suspected she was Queen Elsa herself, that would just draw too much attention to the both of them, and with all those eyes watching, how was he supposed to win her heart? They were sure to jeer at his lack of dancing skills and may even use it as an opportunity to steal her away somehow, that is of course counting on her truly being Queen Elsa, but he figured he'd find out soon enough.

Crap. This guy just wasn't going to leave her alone, was he? Elsa was losing excuses to get this guy away from her by the second. He insisted on dancing with her, even if only for more dancing practice. What should she say to him next? Should she suggest that she was a maid with bad dancing skills? Should she spill a drink on his clothes and see if that turned him off? Or maybe she should try to pawn off her identity on one of the other maids? Elsa wasn't sure what to say, and wasn't thinking clear enough. So the end, she gave the man what he wanted without even really thinking about it.
"Very well, just one dance. But we must make it quick. I haven't the time to be enjoying the party when I'm supposed to be working at it," she stated with a nervous smile. Opps! She really had not meant to just agree to his wishes! What should she do now? Maybe step on his foot so he would get irritated and leave her alone? She wasn't sure if that would work, but maybe if she danced badly he wouldn't think she was the queen after all. Royalty was supposed to have good dancing skills. Maybe that would work...

Leuan nodded, at least he had that, he wasn't sure how well the other maids danced, but he was fairly certain Queen Elsa of all people would be able to dance at least decently well, on the other hand, wouldn't that make it too obvious? Perhaps she wasn't going to be that easy to find after all. In either case, he'd try and figure it out for sure after this dance, all he had to do was not mess things up, it shouldn't be too hard if he followed her movements, should it? Right now, he couldn't let that stop him, he had a job, and he'd probably be stuck without food and pay if he failed this task, so he'd had to improvise if things were to go awry, but thinking about that too much would make him stress out, so instead, he focused himself on something else. Looking around the room one more time to make sure no straggling bachelors were heading their way, he grabbed the Maid by the hand firmly, but as gently as he could as he knew better than to just yank her away thankfully. It felt strange doing this with a different goal in mind other than to keep someone silent or something along those lines, all togethere, this was a much different way of finding out something from someone that he was accustomed to. Strangely enough, he wasn't exactly in a hurry to try or even think too much about the other options he had to achieving his goal, partly because he will probably have botched his mission, and partly for a reason he couldn't quite explain, it was as if some invisible boundary was preventing him or something.

Elsa let the man take her hand and moved into a dancing position with him. She wasn't looking forward to the dance, but hopefully it wouldn't last long. After the two of them were positioned correctly, she slowly began to dance with him, saying nothing. It was an awkward sort of dance. The queen didn't even bother to look him in the eye. She stared at the floor for most of the time.
Eventually, however, Elsa did as she had planned before and stepped on his foot, pretending it was an accident. "Oh, I'm sorry. I'm not used to dancing," she told him. "You're better off looking for someone else to dance with," she added with a nervous smile. Would he leave her alone now? Elsa hoped so. She crossed her fingers that he wouldn't call her out on being the Queen...

It seemed that the maid wasn't the only one not making eye contact, it wasn't that Leuan was put off by it, or at least he didn't think so; he just felt it made it harder to concentrate on dancing, soon enough though, he felt her step on his foot, but he didn't seem to feel it all too much. Hearing what she told hom, he shook his head "Well... That makes the two of us then..." he said quietly, continueing to (or at least trying to) dance with her, he was deep in thought now. There was a longtime frame where he stayed silent for a while before he finally spoke again, whispering so the others wouldn't hear "Sorry if I'm mistaken but... Are you Queen Elsa?" he asked her, wondering if she was going to give a truthfull answer or not, despite his experience in knowing what to look for if someone lied, he still was uncertain if those would be all he'd have to look for, but he was still confident in his own skills there, so perhaps he'd get lucky or something.

Elsa frowned when the man said 'that makes two of us.' Well, if he wasn't used to dancing and probably uncomfortable with it too, why did they have to keep dancing? Oh well. Maybe it would be over with soon. It wasn't like the dance could last forever, right?
The next thing this man said, however, shocked the queen. He questioned her identity! Not good! Biting her lower lip, Elsa quickly tried to figure out what she wanted to say. "Is that supposed to be some kind of pickup line?" she asked, forcing a small smile. "I'm flattered you think I'm pretty enough to be the Queen." Honestly, she wasn't flattered though. Elsa was very nervous.

Leuan couldn't help but find himself blushing just a little bit at what the Maid said, he was a little at a loss for words, but eventually he spoke again "Well... It's not just that but, you know... I didn't want to just announce it like that when we can't even dance!" he said, he was trying his best not to stutter nor lose his cool. Either could be dangerous here as he may eventually grow too soft for the kind of work he did, so instead, he tried to figure out if he should just call out that he thought this Maid over here was the Queen. Despite the possibility he still had of being wrong, she didn't directly deny what he had asked her, so maybe she was the queen, and was just hiding it in some cryptic way? He was unsure about that though.

Elsa shrugged at this man's words. "Well, if neither of us know how to dance we don't have to continue. Besides, I have work I should probably attend to. Thank you for for time," she said, attempting to pull away from the man. She wasn't sure if he would stop her from pulling away and insist on keeping her closeby, or if he would let her go. Still, regardless of what he planned to do, Elsa was still going to try and get away from him. She wasn't about to openly admit she was the Queen anytime soon. If she did, all the men in the room would rush over to try and get her attention, and that wasn't what she wanted at all.

Leuan resisted a little at first when the Maid tried to pull away, but he figured he didn't have anything else to do right now anyways, so he decided to say once last thing "Well... I guess I can't argue there, but despite what you say, you don't seem like a maid to me." he said, keeping his voice low before he let her go. He sort of just stood there, not really moving, waiting to see what the maid would do, though he was really starting to suspect she wasn't a maid, looking towards the others, he realized they seemed quite thrilled to be dancing with the bachelors, and didn't mind their inabilities to dance, neither did the bachelors... This particular maid seems to stand out from the rest.

For a moment, when the man resisted, Elsa didn't think he was going to let her go. But, thankfully, he released his hold on her and she was free. Had it worked? Had she talked him into leaving her alone for now? Elsa really hoped so. The sooner she could escape him--and any of the other men--the better. She was still a little nervous after he let her go though; the man still didn't seem convinced that she was an ordinary maid. Elsa quickly tried to come up with a reason for that. "Well, I'm rather new here. So that could be the reason. Anyhow, if you'll excuse me I have some cleaning to get to," she said, moving to walk past him. She tried to squeeze through a wall of men and their dance partners. it was almost amusing to see noble men dancing with maids.
As she walked, however, she felt someone grab her arm. It turned out to be Anna. "Hey, you haven't danced with enough guys yet! Where are you going?"
Elsa tugged her arm away, hissing. "Move, Anna, I can't be seen with you right now. You'll blow my cover!"
//ooc: Maybe Leuan follows her and sees Anna speak with her? Then maybe that will make him even more convinced she's Elsa. XD

((XD probably, he's totally gonna tell Anna and hope she's not gonna call her out o.o))
Leuan decided to follow the maid, he was curious where she was actually going since it seemed a little strange that she was the only maid around here who seemed to wrry about getting to cleaning. Lingering where he was for a moment, he decided to carefully inch through the crowd, trying to keep to himself as he did so until he finally reached where the maid had gone. Realizing quickly that his white hair would make him stick out amongst the crowd, he hid behind a pillar, watching the maid talk with Anna. Just barely hearing what they were saying, everything became clear to him, it seemed she truly was queen Elsa, but, it didn't seem right to just call her out in front of everyone, could he really do that? Sure he's done worse things, but it would also dash his mission most likely, so what was he supposed to do? His eyes suddenly drifted to Anna, her sister, and he realized he could just tell her quietly, with any luck she wouldn't call her out... He didn't know her as well as he knew Elsa, which was also very little since he hadn't spent too much time around either of them. All he would be depending on was his own luck in terms of how things would play out, he waited until he thought Elsa was far enough away before walking up to Anna quickly "She's Elsa... Isn't she." he asked her quietly, motioning slightly towards the direction he saw Elsa was, he was almost certain that maid was her.

"Elsa, wait--"
Before Anna could stop her, Elsa pulled away and walked off. She lost sight of her sister for a moment as she made her way into the crowd. Anna sighed and began to follow after the queen, but was was stopped when Leuan stepped forward and spoke to her quietly. At first, Anna was surprised at what he asked, not really thinking anyone would figure out who Elsa was so soon.
"Yes-- maybe-- I-I mean, wh-what, no! Of course she's not Elsa! What would give you that idea!?" Anna exclaimed loudly, awkwardly laughing after what he said. "I-I mean she could be Elsa, but it's not like I'm saying she is. Do you have a any proof, mister?" she asked. Knowing Anna and her awkward big mouth, she'd probably end up admitting that maid was Elsa rather quick.

"She doesn't seem to enjoy dancing as much as the other maids..." Leuan said, with any luck, his statement should be enough to allude to how much Elsa, or at least that particular maid who he was posotive was her seemed to stand out from the rest, at least to him. On the other hand, he wasn't so sure that Anna would pick up on his implication, so he sort of stood there for a moment, trying to figure out what else he was supposed to say if his sentence didn't do the trick. Perhaps elaborate? Get mad? Maybe the latter wasn't optimal though, so he'd stick with elaborating or something, if he needed to, for now though he just sort of stood there, waiting for a response quietly, as if he were a statue or somethinng like that.

"Oh yeah, Elsa hates dancing," Anna said with a laugh, completely falling into Leuan's verbal trap. "I'm not surprised she hated dancing with you--" Anna quickly cut herself off, realizing what she was saying. Not good! She had just revealed Elsa's identity in front of one of the men. The princess covered her mouth for a moment, feeling bad about what she had done. "J-Just forget everything I said," Anna stuttered after taking her hands off her mouth. "Nobody is supposed to know who she is. They have to figure it out on their own," she told him.

Leuan just nodded slowly, he had suspected that from the beginning, feeling himself turn just a little red when she mentioned how Elsa hated dancing with him... And he'd thought he was the only one thinking that. Seeing Anna cover her mouth though, telling him not to tell anyone else, he just nodded again "It's not like I want everyone knowing anyways..." he mumbled under his breath. He wondered how long this entire event was going to last, he only had so much time to try and win Elsa's heart now that he knew her identity, but how? Of all the things he'd been taught, this was definitely not one of them.

Despite Anna's attempt to hide what she had just said, there actually were a few people standing around who heard her.
"Did you hear that? The maid who was just talking to Anna is the queen!" whispered one man.
"No way! I think I saw her head past the stairs!"
"Really? Let's go check!"
A group of men started heading in the direction Elsa was standing. She flinched seeing them coming her way and began to rush off for a new place to hide. Anna watched as this happened, slapping her forehead. "Oh, me and my big mouth." She glanced at Leuan shortly after with a frown. "Do you think you could help me get rid of some of those guys? I mean, I want for my sister, the queen, to meet some suitors, but I don't want her to be mobbed by them! If you help me, um, I'll make sure you can have more time to talk with her. How does that sound?" she asked. She had a plan, she just hoped Leuan was on board for it.

Leuan nodded, it seemed they had a common interest; he didn't exactly want Elsa to be crowded since it'll make things harder for him, and both Anna and Elsa weren't keen on Elsa being mobbed either, plus; having more time with her could help him straighten things out. Their first encounter hadn't exactly gone as planned after all, looking around at the group of men for a moment, analyzing how many maids were available and how many men were going after Elsa. Perhaps Anna could over dramaticize her mistake and he could step in to point out this might all just be a ruse, a challenge for the suitors to overcome, if that worked, the men should go back over to the other maids realizing they might have fallen for one of the easiest tricks in the book, when ironically they just did so thinking they did not. Looking back at the other suitors who didn't seem to have an interest in what the group of men were doing, he wondered if they would become a problem later, and he came to the conclusion that he'd come to that bridge when he crossed it.

Anna was relieved when the man nodded at her. "Oh thank goodness! Come with me!" she said, quickly moving across the ball room to a small storage room in the corner. She opened the door of the room and walked inside quickly grabbing a different maid uniform. She then turned to Leuan. "Here! Go give this to the Queen. Maids here have two different uniforms they wear. If she changes her clothes maybe she'll blend in better again. She's probably hiding on her favorite balcony." Anna told Leuan a shortcut to the balcony Elsa would probably be hiding so he could find her. "Good luck! If you need me I'll just be out here trying to control the situation."

Leuan nodded quickly, taking the uniform and waving a little before heading off to the shortcut Anna had pointed out to him earlier, heading through it careully, trying not to appear too suspicious as he did so. With any luck, Elsa would be at the balcony, sure he trusted her sister, but at the same time, what if she went somewhere else this time? Thinking about this made him shake his head a little, he'd just focus on the here and now, he still had a mission to accomplish! What else was he here for, right? Finally arriving at the balcony, he looked around, trying to see if he could spot Elsa anywhere.

Anna knew Elsa all too well. The princess was right; Elsa was on the balcony. She was alone, for the moment, but knew that other men would quickly be on her trail if she even so much as poked her head back into the castle. So she decided to just sit out there and hide. Hiding would be easier than facing any of the men. Besides, she liked being along when she had the chance.
Elsa walked up to the railing of the balcony, feeling over its smooth stone surface with her hands. She looked up, viewing the ocean and the sun setting into it. It was starting to get darker out, and the stars were overtaking the sky. The young queen had always enjoyed the view from this balcony, which is why she usually chose this particular one to stand at.
111862.jpg
She looked up into the sky, allowing herself to become mesmerized by the sight. She felt a gentle ocean breeze blow across her face, deciding to take off her wig so she could feel it blow through her hair also. Besides, it wasn't as if any of the other men were around to see her real hair color--at least, for now.

Leuan sighed lightly in relief when he spotted Elsa on the balcony, he stood there, watching her for a while as she seemed to be enjoying her time alone, in fact; he had to admit they didn't have such a bad view from up here. They had both caught the sun just when it was ducking below the horizon putting on a marvelous display of colors he'd seriously never seen before in his life, for a moment, he stood there, forgetting about his goal just for a moment before he shook his head a little. With the outfit still in hand, he began to approach Elsa quietly, eventually being more or less a few feet or so behind her, looking at her in the moonlight, he couldn't help but think she looked a bit pretty, her hair was out for once, not hidden behind that wig, perhaps that's why the moon brought out the color in her hair? Eventually, he snapped out of it, shaking his head a little, he didn't have time for such thoughts, he had an objective... Developing feelings would only complicate things of course, but in the end, could he bring himself to do it? Leuan actually thought about it for a moment, the people he'd killed in the past, he didn't need to develop any sort of connection with, not did he need to do so now, but, that was exactly what was happening here! Closing his eyes for a moment, he emptied his mind of such thoughts, they only seemed to be there to distract him from his original goal, he gently tapped Elsa on the shoulder before speaking. "Your sister said I'm supposed to bring you this... It should help throw them off your trail." He said, strangely enough, his tone was a more soft one, it didn't exactly match his expression, but it was still a strange thing to do, even for him.

Elsa was so focused at looking up into the sky at first that she didn't notice Leuan approaching her. Her eyes only looked away from the view when the man tapped her on the shoulder. She then looked behind herself, flinching in surprise when she saw him. The queen even let out a small yelp. Before she could ask whe he was there, however, he spoke. After seeing what he had brought her, she replied, "Another maid uniform? That could help, but why did she ask you to deliver it to me?" She looked over the man after a moment, realizing he was the same one she had danced with earlier. Her cheeks flushed a light red. How embarassing. She had been found out after all.

Leuan smiled a little awkwardly when Elsa turned around, asking why Anna had asked him to deliver it to him, shrugging a little "We bumped into each other I guess... She told me to hand it to you." he said, lying a little. Anna did tell him not to tell her about her little slip-up, and he doubted it would help the situation much, even if he had told Elsa anyways. Noticing that Elsa was blushing, he realized he'd forgotten that she hadn't realized he knew for certain she was Elsa until now "Oh and... Don't worry about the secret getting out, it's not like I fancy big crowds either." he said sheepishly, looking back at the door to the ballroom where all the other bachelors were hanging out.

After realizing she was blushing, Elsa looked away from the man again. He then explained to her how he had bumped into her sister. She wasn't sure if she believed him, but then again how would he have known where to find Elsa otherwise? "Did she now?" Elsa retorted, trying to sound sceptical. "I suppose I'll believe you for now, but if I ask her later and find out you were lying this is going to get awkward later." She paused looking down at the clothing Leuan had handed her, unsure what she was going to do. "I can just change with you watching. I can't change on the balcony either," she said with a frown. "If you would, please peek out in the hallways and make sure the coast is clear before I leave to head into a changing room. I don't want to be mobbed while trying to leave," she explained.

@Klutzy Ninja Kitty
The points Elsa made were rather good ones indeed, Leuan wouldn't exactly feel comfortable having Elsa change right here out in the open either, though her suggestion seemed like the most plausible. So he nodded, carefully peeking out into the hallways through the door, it seemed the coast was clear for now, but he stayed still, carefully on the lookout for any signs of the other bachelors for a moment longer out of habit before looking back towards Elsa. "I don't see anyone, but, on the offchance there is..." Leuan said, thinking for a moment "I'll just have to throw them off our trail." he concluded after that moment of silence, he looked down that hall once last time, thankfull that no-one had walked down it yet before turning back to Elsa "Ready?" he asked her, trying to sound confident... That's what attracts the opposite gender, right? He was only going off of what he was told, but it felt right to him so he figured it should be.

Elsa nodded, walking after Leuan when he said he would watch for her and keep any of the men who possibly noticed them off their trail. "I'm ready; it's not a long way to the changing room so this should be quick," she replied, walking out of the room. She allowed Leaun to linger behind her in case any stray eyes happened to wander in their dirrection. That way, someone would spot Leuan before they spotted her. Elsa walked along, holding the maid outfit to her chest as she moved. She didn't look back at the man behind her, but she was still curious about him. "Why are you helping me? I apologize if that's a foolish question. You're here with the suitors, aren't you?" Elsa asked, biting her lower lip. He probably thought he was going to get on her good side by helping her out like this, didn't he? Plus, if he helped Elsa keep the other guys away that helped his chances with her too. She frowned. Just another man who probably wanted to marry her for her money or power. Great.

York - Dec 30, 2014 at 1:17 AM
@Klutzy Ninja Kitty
Leuan nodded, he followed behind her, keeping enough distance so he wouldn't seem so suspiciously close to Elsa, otherwise other suitors will most likely spot him like that, though as they walked along, Elsa asked him a question he hadn't expected to hear. Though the second one she asked was a bit easier to answer, so he started with that one, "Yeah... I'm a suitor... As for why I'm helping you well..." he said, feeling himself blush a bit as he thought about this, no way could he say it was his job and that he was an assassin, nor could he just be blunt about wanting to marry her, but then again, it wasn't just because it was what he was told to do... There was something more to that, something that money nor power could ever tempt him to do, but he really couldn't figure out what was compelling him to do this other than the more common ones. Perhaps because he'd never felt such a thing before? But what was really driving him crazy here was what else it could be that was compelling him to help her.

When Leuan answered her second question first, Elsa wasn't surprised by the answer. In fact, even though he didn't answer her first question, she had a feeling she already knew the answer. If he was a suitor it was obvious why he was there: he was seeing her hand in marriage. Her questions were probably silly, but Elsa couldn't help it. She really didn't know how to talk to a man. She had no experience in that area whatsoever. "I suppose those questions have answers that were too obvious. I apologize," she meekly said. Maybe there was a better question she could ask him? It almost made Elsa's brain hurt to even think of anything she could say to him at all. "Tell me, what's your name?" Okay, maybe that was a better question. Elsa certainly hoped so. She continued walking, spotting one of the dressing rooms up ahead. So far, so good...

Leuan blushed a little at what Elsa said "I-It I mean... My name's Leuan." he said, regaining his composure after a few moments, he smiled a little, trying his best to seem brace and all, he wasn't exactly sure how to talk to women... He was never trained for that sort of thing, but he'd have to improvise if he were to complete his mission, but was that really all? That was something he really wasn't sure about, but he couldn't think about that now, not when everything was still going relatively smoothly. He looked around a few more times out of paranoia to make sure they weren't being followed, though it seemed they were safe for the time being, looking ahead of him, he spotted a dressing room ahead, one of the many located here. Seeing this, he took one more quick glance around before letting out a small sigh in relief, his instincts told him not to relax just yet though.

Elsa nodded when the man told her his name, but said nothing in reply. After asking him his name, she wasn't really sure how to get a conversation going after that. Being social was Elsa's weak point, and it wasn't as if she was interested in getting a conversation going with this guy anyhow. She continued walking until they arrived at the dressing room--luckily without incident. She turned to Leuan. "I'm just going to get changed. If you could stand out here and keep watch, I'd appreciate it," she told him before entering the dressing room. She shut the door quickly behind her and sighed, putting her head in her hands. Wasn't there any way she could just sit in that room and not go back out there at all? Elsa sure wished that were possible.
After a moment, she attempted to change clothes, realizing she had left her wig on the balcony. At least, she thought so. Maybe she had dropped it while walking? Elsa wasn't sure. It wasn't a problem because she needed it; no, she was going to wear a new wig now to go with her new disguise. However, if someone found it that could lead the men to be suspicious. Elsa poked her head out of the dressing room. "Leuan, can you go look for my wig? I think I either left it on the balcony or dropped it when we were walking here. I need to make sure none of the other men see it," she explained.

Leuan nodded politely, deciding to stand with his back to the changing room, on the lookout for any people coming by, he was deep in thought for the moment, trying to figure out just what was pushing him to want to court Elsa if it wasn't just his desire to complete his mission. He rubbed his forehead with one hand as he thought about this, he just couldn't think too clearly about that no matter how hard he tried. With a sigh, he eventually resumed looking around the room, thankfully no-one had come up or anything while he had zoned out, thinking. Soon enough, Elsa came out of the changing room before he could start thinking about that too much again, asking him to look for her wig, he nodded again "Try not to get caught in the meantime..." he said quietly, giving her a reassuring sile before he started on his way to the balcony.
It was more tedious than he expected to make his way to the balcony as he had to hide every now and then when a bachelor passed him by, sticking to the shadows like he usually did in any other mission... This came almost instinctively to him, and eventually, he'd reached the balcony, looking around for Elsa's wig for a few moments before finally spotting it on the ground, it seemed she must have dropped it at some point. Quickly picking up the wig, he rushed back towards Elsa, occsaionally ducking in a dark spot or behind a suit of armor once more if he heard someone coming is way, eventually he reached elsa again, panting a little "Got it..." he said after he had caught his breath.

While Leuan was gone, Elsa changed into her new disguise, putting a new wig on to top it off. After she was finished, she stepped into the hallway and waited for the man to return. The queen knew that dealing with this man was going to be a pain later because now she owe him for helping her out, but at least she would only have to deal with one man and not a whole crowd. So at least this situation wasn't all bad.
"Thanks," Elsa replied, taking the wig from him. "Now I must return to the ballroom so that the other men can have a shot at finding me." Not that Elsa really wanted them to find her, but she had to keep her promise to Anna and stay down there. "I know this might be too much to ask of you, but if you'd keep some of the others off my trail I'd really appreciate it," she told him. She didn't want to owe the man any more than she already did, but since she already did owe him and Leuan knew it was her, Elsa didn't see the harm in seeking more of his help.

Leuan nodded, he felt a bit embarassed, but, he nodded, all he could hope for was nothing too problematic would happen that would make his mission too difficuly, he nodded at what she said despite not entirely wanting that, though what she'd suggested made him not again, this time looking more sincere about it. Despite her not knowing it, they both had the same interests, for different reasons though, he decided to follow behind her for now as they headed towards the ballroom. He started looking around, keeping a few bachelors approaching off her trail by starting to speak with them in a low tone, pointing over to one of the random maids standing around, trying his best to draw their attention elsewhere. Repeating the same process the moment he saw a few others approaching, he really hoped, they wouldn't catch on that he was misleading them, after a while, they stopped approaching thankfully, and Leuan acted as if he was approaching another maid, but instead, he started to inch a bit closer to Elsa, trying to be very subtle about it.

@york //ooc: Sorry for the late reply. I'm sure you already know the reason why, but I did explain it in my blog on here. XD
After Leuan nodded in agreement with Elsa, she double checked to make sure her outfit was properly adjusted on her body before exiting the room entirely. She walked ahead of the young man, feeling slightly uncomfortable. It was if she could feel his eyes looking at her back, and for some reason that made her nervous. Surprisingly, once the two of them arrived back in the ballroom, Leuan did a pretty good job of keeping the other suitors away from her. Elsa fiddled with her wig and occasionally tried to look look busy--as if she were doing the work of a maid. Eventually, her focus fell off Leuan and she felt a little more comfortable in the room. She turned to walk toward a refreshment table, not realizing Leuan was inching closer to her, walking quite fast. She walked so quick that she couldn't stop herself from running right into him. Elsa actually lost her balance and started to fall afterwards--her feet tangling up with his. The confusion was likely more than enough to bring Leuan tumbling to the floor with her. Elsa's face turned red with embarrassment. "O-Oh, I-I... I'm so sorry," she said, closing her eyes so she wouldn't have to look at him. All these constant incidents with this man were making her quite mortified!

Leuan seemed calm on the outside, however, on the inside, he was starting to wish they weren't in such a crowded room, though, as he was thinking, he didn't see Elsa walk towards him until she practically ran right into him, making him tumble to the floor in a heap with Elsa. Attempting to make eye contact her turned out to be a bad decision as he blushed, averting eye contact after a that, he eventually got himself up a bit awkwardly and reached out a hand offering it out to Elsa "Erm... That was my bad... I was a bit lost in thought." he said. This wasn't just because he wanted to win his heart either, strangely enough here, he was being honest about what had happened, a new development of his, but, perhaps not so bad, or at least not as bad as he'd first thought things like these would be. Right now, he actually felt quite bad for zoning out like this allowing for Elsa to run into him like that, it was something neither of them could have planned no matter how hard they could have tried, though come to think of it; things like that seemed to be happening alot today. Was it just his bad, or even good luck? Or was there something more to this entire situation than he saw right now?

After her brief eye contact with Leuan, Elsa was glad she had shut her eyes. She could have swore she saw him blush, however, which caused her to blush also. She quickly scrambled to get off the man, taking his hand for him to help her stand up without even thinking about it. The blush had not left her face, even after having stood up. "No, it wasn't entirely your fault," the young queen replied, nervously fiddling with her wig. "I wasn't paying attention either." She had, however, paid attention to those radiant looking eyes of his, even if she wouldn't admit it.
Before Elsa could say much else, their awkward moment was actually interrupted. Although the queen hadn't realized it, after she fell, her wig was messed up. Locks of her platinum blonde hair stuck out in different directions from under the wig, drawing the attention of every male in the room to her like moths to a flame.
"It's the queen!" one man cried, drawing the attention of all the others as well. Suddenly all the men began talking loudly, approaching Elsa. Every bit of color left the woman's face. Well that didn't go as planned.

Leuan found himself making eye contact with Elsa for another brief moment before something dawned upon him; her wig was loose, and unfortunately because of this, all the other bachelors had realized who Elsa was, at first, he panicked a little, then he closed his eyes, thinking quickly. His eyes darted around, finding a hallway to dart down, quickly grabbing Elsa's hand as he pulled her along on instinct, not really taking much time to think instead, he looked for any places to hide, dashing past room after room desperately trying to find some place, any place to hide. Soon enough, he spotted a door, it seemed to stand out to him from the others despite it not looking very much different from the others scattered around the castle. Quickly yanking it open and rushing inside, pulling Elsa inside with him before quietly shutting the door, he leaned against it, obviously a little out of breath from his mostly instinct fueled exertion as he had tried to escape those bachelors, bringing Elsa along without being aware of it. Blushing a little thinking about that, he wondered if that was actually just because he wanted to fullfill the task he was assigned, not thinking about this for now, he pressed an ear to the door instead, listening carefully.

Elsa's head was spinning. As the males approached her, she began to feel more dizzy and nervous then ever before. The queen almost felt as if she were going to faint in front of all those men. That worry, however, thankfully didn't become a reality. The queen took in a deep breath and felt Leuan suddenly grab her hand. The young man whisked her away before she could even blink, leading Elsa out of the room and down a hallway. Before she knew it, the two of them were in a room alone together. She was relieved to be away from all the other men, but also slightly embarrassed Leuan had helped her yet again. Elsa slid on the floor and pulled her knees up to her chest, taking a few deep breathes. "I appreciate your help, sir, but I will have to face them eventually whether I want to or not. My sister will be quite displeased if I continue running away," she said with a sigh.

Leuan looked a bit confused, but, nodded "We should wait a bit though..." he added, looking out the door, he could hear footsteps every now and then as people rushed to and fro, probably looking for Elsa, he sighed, not too enthusiastic about going outside either. At the same time, he knew it wouldn't benefit his mission much if they stayed here, but, going outside right now would just complicate things as everyone was still hot on her trail, he closed his eyes for a moment as he blushed, thinking about what he had done back there, he wasn't really sure how much thought he'd put into that. Nonetheless, he eventually moved away from the door, deciding to take a worthy risk "If you want... We could head back into the ballroom again, but, let's not use the front entrance." he suggested, seeming to have regained his composure by now.

Elsa waited as Leuan suggested, but with every passing minute she felt herself grow more anxious to return to the ballroom. She didn't want to go in order to visit with the suitors, of course, but simply to go for Anna and do what she wanted. She queen tried to look at Leaun as little as possible until he spoke again. "Perhaps that would be best," she said, agreeing with his suggestion to use the back entrance of the ballroom. "That way, we won't be swamped upon our arrival. Still, they're going to end up approaching me after I get inside. Perhaps it would be best if I simply grew used to these things. I suppose as a queen I can't... be introverted all my life, can I?" she said, slowly returning to her feet to walk over to the door with Leuan.

Leuan nodded "I guess so." he said before he fell silent, walking along with Elsa towards the door, he wasn't sure what else to say at the moment with the little he knew about matters like this, can a queen be introverted all her life? Even if that was the case, since when was he thinking about this stuff... Perhaps he was taking his mission too seriously or something, but, right now, they had bigger things to worry about, like how to make a more subtle entrance into that ballroom. He turned to Elsa for a moment, forcing himself to make eye contact with her, he wasn't sure why it was so hard to do so "You ready?" he asked her, he really hadn't expected words like that to come out of his mouth, but, hey, whatever works... Though the question was; why was he like this all of a sudden?

When the two of them exited the room and began to walk along the hallway, Elsa remained quiet. She still couldn't wrap her mind around the fact that her affairs had become tangled up with this stranger and has become part of his problems too. Even so, it didn't really seem as if he minded. She knew Leuan was here go court her just like the other males. But at least he wasn't as grabby as the others. When they arrived at the door, Elsa nodded to her escort. "I'm as ready as I'll ever be. Let's go."
When Elsa stepped inside, all eyes on the room darted to her. Thankfully, however, nobody immediatly recognized her thanks to the new disguise she was wearing. She sighed, unsure how to proceed. "Leuan, if you were a girl how would you decide which men where the top ten best in this group?" she asked, wishing she had a way to sort these men out.

Leuan nodded, he stepped inside too feeling a bit nervous when Elsa asked him what he would thing of those men if he was a girl "Uh....." he said, well mubmled more like it, blinking a little as he thought about this. As embarrassing as it was, maybe he could pick a few favorites out of all the men around, even if it would impede his mission a little. It took him a while, but, eventually he pointed out 10 distinct guys, each one looked fairly decent and polite, but, still grabby like the others, he looked a little uncertain, but, that expression quickly vanished from his face as he tried to maintain a confident look.
At least his competition wasn't too bad really, was it? He wasn't sure if she'd pick him at all, and, the stranger thing was, he wasn't just worried about that because he wanted to complete his mission, he just felt as if he wanted to court her, but... Why? It baffled him why he'd be thinking about such things in times like these, was it all some sort of dream?

Instead of giving her a straight reply, Leuan answered with an awkward, "Uh..." Elsa honestly couldn't blame him for that either. It was a weird question to ask another guy, not that she could help that she had asked it. After all, it wasn't as if she had anyone else she could go to for advice right now. If she were to ask her sister Anna for advice she knew the outgoing girl would suggest something social like dancing with each man and talking to them each for a few minutes. But those ideas were out of the question for Elsa. She honestly didn't care to learn more about these men. She figured, even the top ten men she chose would be the same as all of the rest.
"Sorry, bad question," Elsa finally replied to Leuan. She needed a way to narrow the men down, and it appeared as if she were going to need to discover it on her own. That's when she remembered an idea from a book she read. "Maybe a contest? Since I don't really care to speak with any of them, that might be my best bet," she mused out loud. "How good are you at archery?" she asked Leuan.

Leuan laughed softly "It's alright... I guess we have to decide somehow, right?" he said, there was a thoughtfull expression on his face as he tried to figure this all out, why was he doing this? He really had no idea, but, he was too absorbed in thought to really think about this too much, or even stop for that matter.
However, Elsa broke him free hof his own thoughts just in time, when she mentioned archery, he perked up "Very good actually... You thinking of setting up an archery contest?" he asked, it seemed he was a bit enthusiastic about this idea. During his years as an assassin, he'd developed quite amazing accuracy as an archer so he was confident that he would win a competition like that. Though despite this, he still felt a bit stressed out as he might not even be picked to take part in the competition, though he hoped it wouldn't come to that... After all, it was his mission, but, he had to ask himself one question once more; Was it just because of his mission?

When Leuan perked up at her suggestion, Elsa could tell he was good at archery before he even replied saying he was. "That's exactly what I was thinking," Elsa began. "I got the idea from one of my favorite books as a girl: Brave. It's a story about an unruly princess who came of age to be married. She didn't like any of her suitors and wasn't sure how to pick the best one. So she decided to hold an archery contest. The winner would have her hand," Elsa said with a nod before smiling. "Although, in the book the girl actually joins the contest herself and plays for her own hand. However, I don't intend to do that myself. I'll hold the contest fair and square. The top five or so will be the victors and I'll invite them to stay in the castle," she explained. "Do you think that sounds like a decent enough idea? I'm honestly running out of options and it's the only thing I can think of."
//ooc: I totally ripped off the movie Brave for Elsa's book plot, but I thought it was fitting. :) haha.

Leuan nodded, frowning a little, as strange as it was, he faintly remembered reading a book like that when he was younger, but, he had no idea when or where that happened, but, it did sound like an interesting story... Maybe he could read it sometime. He shook his head a little, snapping himself out of that little train of thought "Yeah... I think it'll help narrow down the options." he said, flashing yet another encouraging smile, he didn't really think about it too much when he did it. The way it happened, he really did feel like that sort of thing came naturally for once, but, he could never really figure out why that was; he had seriously never behaved like this before in his life, at least not that he could remember anyways... Was this even supposed to be happening to him?

Even though it was encouragement from a stranger, Leuan's positive reaction meant a lot to Elsa for some reason. It gave her enough confidence to want to go through with her plan knowing that someone else was okay with it and actually thought it was a good idea. "Very well, I'm going to go make the preparations then," Elsa told him with a polite bow of her head before walking off. She wandered through the crowd and quickly found Princess Anna, explaining her plan to her younger sister.
"Honestly, I think it would just be better if you talked to the men to get to know them, but if this is the only idea you're interested in I guess we could do it," Anna replied with a shrug. "I'll make the preparations."
Elsa nodded and unconsciously went back to where she was standing before, right next to Leuan. "Well, it's going to happen," Elsa said to him. "Although, if I'm supposed to be judging the archery contest, maybe I shouldn't be wearing this disguise anymore," she said with a frown, looking down at her outfit.

Leuan nodded at what Elsa said, though he was inclined to bow in return, but, he was unable to do so before Elsa left... Why had he felt like he needed to bow or something? Was it just him? Or perhaps he was actually starting to respect Elsa. He shook his head soon enough, he figured he'd think more about this later, for now, he decided to wait for Elsa, leaning against a nearby pillar as he tapped his foot, passing the time until Elsa would return, the conversation she was having with her younger sister shouldn't be all that hard, right?
When Elsa finally came back, telling him that her plan had been approved of, Leuan nodded once more "I'll try to keep the crowd at bay." he added, motioning towards the rather large crowd of suitors still hanging around the ballroom. Things may get complicated indeed if they all tried to rush Elsa or something, though, hopefully they had at least the decency not to; even being an assasin, he himself had enough sense on him to behave in a sensible manner, even if he did find that a little odd, even for him...

The queen went quiet for a moment, thinking about what kind of outfit she would need to change into if she were to abandon her disguise. She was shaken from her thoughts by Leuan when he stated he would keep the crowd at bay. "Thank you," she told him with a polite nod in his direction before moving to leave the room. She would leave it to Anna to set things up while she changed into more suitable clothes to wear while judging the contest.
While Elsa was gone, Anna did indeed set up the contest. She explained to the men that they would each have three shots with their arrows. The men who ended up with the highest scores in the end would be the winners. There would be five of them in total. The five men who won would be allowed to stay at the castle for a few days and gain a chance to spend more time with the queen. Princess Anna had the men line up while some of the castle's servants passed out bow and arrows to each man. One of the men gave Leuan a pat on the back. "Good luck," he said with a grin.
After changing into something more formal for the occasion--and less like a disguise--Elsa returned to the ball room. Absently, she wondered if Leuan would make it into the top five or not. For some reason, she hoped he would. She wasn't sure why either. Perhaps it was simply because he had spoken with her more than the others, and he would be a bit easier to talk to than most of them, a bit, but not much.

Leuan nodded in response before he gathered with the rest of the suitors as he waited for the competition to begin, he looked at the targets for a moment before looking at the bows they were given, they looked quite high quality actually, as one would expect from castle equipment. In fact, he was fairly certain he could hit his mark really well with what he was provided, he'd just need to adjust to the slightly smaller size than he was used to, shouldn't be that hard, right?
He was abruptly snapped out of his thoughts though when someone patted him on the back, he turned around, surprised that it was actually one of the suitors, but, realizing he'd blow his cover if he didn't respond, he smiled back, trying not to make it look forced, nodding a little and even giving him a cheesy looking thumbs up. Then, he turned back to the targets, looking them over a few more times to assess the distance they'd been shooting, that would contribute to how much he though he would need to draw back his arrow before he shot it.
Just then, he noticed Else returning to the ball room, and with a new gown on too, strangely enough, he couldn't take his eyes off of it for some reason, and this both worried him and confused him. He hadn't ever had a problem quite like this before, and he wasn't even sure if it was the gown itself, Else seemed to look almost angelic in it, which is an odd thing for him to think about anyone really. He quickly shrugged it off, trying to focus his attention on the competition again, he'd need all the details he could figure out if he were to be confident that he'd win this.

When Elsa made her way to sit down in a special spot Princess Anna had reserved for her, an announcement was made that she had arrived. The queen always dreaded those announcements, they brought too much attention to her presence and caused too many people to look in her direction. Still, as a queen, it was something she needed to get used to. When she took a seat, Anna sat next to her and started the competition.
One-by-one, each man stepped forward and took their turns with the bow and arrow. Some of the men tried to make poses or witty comments in hopes of standing out, but Elsa didn't pay much attention to their attempts. She didn't care much for anything the men tried to do or even for the contest itself. The queen would just be relieved when it was all over.
Eventually, when it was Leuan's turn, the man standing behind him who had given him a pat on the back before tapped his shoulder. "Hey, it's your turn, you'd better get up there," he said. When Elsa saw it was Leuan's turn, she immediately looked over there. For some reason, sure was curious about how well he would do. She paid more attention to what he was about to do than she had for any of the other men so far.

@Klutzy Ninja Kitty
Leuan stood back, watching each man shoot the targets with some confusion, most of them did the usual, as expected, but, a few seemed to try and strike poses or even drop a few "one liners" as one would call them making him tilt his head a little. He wasn't sure what sort of strategy they were trying to employ to get Elsa's attention, but, a quick glance towards Elsa told him that she didn't seem to pay those too much mind, not surprising really, he didn't feel like he would give too much attention to such things either...
His eyes drifted to the targets which they were shooting at, those men were actually pretty accurate, but, it seemed that not all the arrows were hitting dead center, some even flew far off due to a failed attempt at striking a pose, normally Leuan would laugh at this... Though here, he felt like he shouldn't be doing such things, why? Who knew, he just chalked it down to him not wanting to blow his cover, though he was beginning to feel like being near Elsa might be contributing to this.
As he looked over at Elsa one last time, that man from before who had given him a pat on the back tapped him on the shoulder again, this snapped him out of his train of thought as he realized it was his turn, what a life saver... Otherwise he'd probably have been standing there like a fool, staring at Elsa, and, just quickly glancing at her before he headed over to the target, he couldn't help but notice she too was watching him which made his cheeks turn a slight shade of red.
He quickly hid that though as approached his spot, picking up the bow and an arrow, cocking it and pulling back the string, he aimed at the target, adjusting his aim very carefully... His instincts were more or less taking over for the time being, after he thought he had everything just right, he let loose the arrow, putting down his bow for a moment to see how he had done. It seemed the arrow had hit the target more or less dead center, but, he wasn't the only one who had managed it, though the arrow seemed to have embedded itself pretty deep inside the target to say the least.
Leuan knew he hadn't won yet, he had 2 more shots left, and if he was carefull, he would have this in the bag, he cocked another arrow and drew it back, more confident this time, making a few minor adjustments, he fired. It looked like it would split the previous arrow in half in a cartoon-esque fashion, but, instead, it hit just a little offcenter, still technically a bullseye, but, it left him with a bit of a disappointed feeling, as he pulled back the arrow one last time, he made sure not to let his emotions get in the way as he adjusted his aim just a little, letting the last arrow fly, time practically seemed to slow as he put down his bow and head a distinct *crack* as his arrow rammed into his first one, splitting it into various pieces as it too embedded itself into the target... This satisfied him, though, he pitied the person who would have to clean off the splinters.
As he was done now, Leuan looked towards Elsa curiously, wondering what she had thought about the entire ordeal, even attempting to crack a friendly smile, though he probably looked a bit silly with that on his face. He wasn't sure if he had truly won yet as Elsa was to decide that, or was it a judge? Leuan couldn't quite remember, it's been a while since he'd attended a competition like this...

Klutzy Ninja Kitty - Mar 24, 2015 at 7:09 PM
After intently watching Leuan take his turn in the competition, Elsa's assumptions about him turned out to be correct. He was rather skilled with a bow and arrow. He hadn't lied when he said he was good. She continued to watch him carefully until he looked back at her with a smile; Elsa averted her gaze when he looked. She was actually pleased that he had done well, and even more pleased that he didn't attempt to say or do something showy to try and impress her.
When Leuan's turn was over, he stepped aside with all the other men who had finished and waited for the others to finish taking their turns as well. The man who had been standing behind Leuan took his turn as well, managing to do decently also. He ended up with three bullseyes also; the arrows were spaced out just a little bit further than Leuan's. After finishing his turn, he said nothing and walked over to Leuan with a smile. "Good job out there. You really know your way around a bow and arrow! I'm Revan, by the way," he said, offering Leuan his name.
As the contest continued, Elsa grew more bored with every passing man. Why did there have to be so many? She remained bored, that is, until something interesting actually began to happen. A man walked up to take his turn, appearing as if he actually had no idea what he was doing. Even some of the lower class men of the group could at least fire a bow and arrow, but no, this man appeared as if he didn't even know how to hold them correctly. Queen Elsa could've done a better job herself.
"Do you need help?" a servant asked the man, frowning.
"I can do it!" he exclaimed, nervously fiddling with the bow. Beads of sweat began to form on his face and actually began to drip down his forehead after a moment. His shirt quickly soaked with sweat and the poor man looked as if he were about to have a panic attack. Elsa frowned when she saw this. She knew all too well how badly it felt to suffer with nerves. She didn't want to make the poor man go through with this if he was too nervous. She arose from her chair and moved over toward the servant helping the man.
"He doesn't have to do it if he doesn't want to," she said to the servant, before tapping the man with the bow and arrow on his shoulder.
"Excuse me, but you don't have to--"
Nobody could've guessed what would've happened next.
The man rapidly turned around in a panic, and with spastic, nervous hands he released the string of the bow shooting an arrow at Elsa. They were standing close enough together that it hit her directly, going right into her left leg. It was an obvious accident, but it still hurt her. The queen let out a cry and fell to the ground.

As Leuan stood to the side, watching the rest of the men finished taking their turns shooting at the target with mild interest, though, noticing the man who had been standing behind him coming up to take his turn, he seemed to pay a little more attention. As he fired his last arrow, Leuan noticed the man's marksmanship wasn't half bad to say the least, the aim just needed to be a little more centered and he probably would have tied with Leuan, or even beat him. Though, on the inside, he was a little glad that the arrows hadn't been as accurate, though, instead of losing his temper or something, that man seemed to be a good sport about it all, complementing him, and even introducing himself. It seemed both to be polite, and not blow his cover, Leuan would have to respond "Thank you, Revan... I'm Leuan, it's nice to meet another good marksman." he said, cracking a friendly smile, this time with a little more ease, though he couldn't help but feel silly doing so still.
Soon enough though, Leuan turned his attention back to the contest seeing that there were still a few people left to go, and to put it bluntly, the competition was getting to the point where Leuan was growing a little bored, there were some other good marksmen out there sure... However, it seemed that one of the contestants had little to no clue what to do, this appeared to catch Leuan's attention, both from being able to identify with the man, and due to his curiousity of how that particular man would do despite this. A servant even asked the man if he needed help, though, which the man declined, either out of embarrassment or perhaps false confidence, though he recieved an uneasy feeling in his gut about all of this for some reason.
Looking towards Elsa, he noted that she too appeared to be a little uneasy about this, and maybe even understanding as she had studdenly stood up, moving over towards the servant trying to help, stating that the man didn't have to do it if he didn't want to. Though her next move was a grave mistake indeed, and, without thinking, Leuan sprung into motion just as Elsa tapped the man in the shoulder, as she was talking, the man turned around, clearly panicked as he suddenly released the bow string he had drawn back, causing the arrow cocked in it to shoot straight at Elsa.
"No no no no no..." Leuan thought to himself as he drew close just in time to see queen Elsa let out a cry in paiun, falling to the ground. He had already torn a few strips off his clothing, not seeming to pay any mind that he'd probably get scolded for that sort of thing as he rushed to assist Elsa. Knowing it would hurt, he cast her an apologetic glance before he pulled out the arrow as fast as he could, immediately following up by bandaging the wound with the torn strips of cloth he had prepared early on. If he had still been thinking about his mission, he wouldn't have reacted nearly as fast, but, strangely enough, it had been a more instinctive reaction, a result of his gut feelings alone, nothing else... As he finished up bandaging the wound, he locked eyes with Elsa, wondering why he was this worried all of a sudden "A-... Are you okay?" he asked her, a little uncertain how bad she'd been injured.

Revan gave Leuan an equally as friendly smile. "Same here. You really did amazing out there. I'm sure you'll be one of the winners of this competition. I used to hunt recreationally with my dad when I was a kid. So that's why I sort of know what I'm doing with a bow and arrow," he said rubbing the back of his head. He was about to offer Leuan a handshake, but dropped his hand (and his jaw) when he heard Queen Elsa let out a cry of pain. Just as Leuan and a few of the other men did, he rushed over to see what was the matter.
All Elsa felt was a wave of pain assault her leg and on instinct she squeezed her eyes shut. With her sense of sight blocked out, her other senses became sharper. She was highly aware of the throbbing pain in her leg and the feel of the ground under her back. The queen was also aware of the servants, Princess Anna, a few of the male contestants, and Leuan who cried out her name. Almost immediately she felt their hands all over her. This sent an uncomfortable vibe shooting through the queen, so she quickly opened her eyes again to see who was touching her.
The first thing Elsa spied when she opened her eyes was the arrow sticking out of her leg. She felt her stomach turn uncomfortably and her eyes roll back in her head--almost causing her to faint. She took a few deep breaths, however, and quickly tried to compose herself. The arrow really caught her off guard, and she was secretly quite uncomfortable with them. Ever since the incident where she ran away from Arendelle and those men from Wesselton had shot arrows at her, she didn't really like the sight of them. She especially hated them upon seeing one sticking out of her leg.
"I-I'm fine!" she squeaked, her upset voice betraying her. "E-Everyone just get away from me!" she ordered, trying to sound stern. She flinched when Leuan went to bandage her leg, and yelped when he touched her wound, but she didn't push him away.
Floundering, Princess Anna made her way over to the queen. "E-Elsa, you're hurt. I'm so sorry! We'll get you some more help. U-Um, what should we do?" she questioned one of the servants.
"We must take the queen to her room and have a physician look at her leg," the servant suggested. "Any volunteers?"
Anna looked at Leuan quickly. "Since you're already helping, do you want to carry her to her room? I'll be up in a moment. I just need to deal with the rest of these... men," she said with a frown.

Leuan looked Elsa over realizing she was in no state to talk right now, that arrow in her leg really wouldn't sit well with her, and as he was a little uncertain of how to comfort her, he was glad that Anna had quickly rushed to her aid, asking one of the servants what to do... As expected, the servant recommended to have it looked at by a physician, though, a look of surprised crossed his face when Anna asked him to carry Elsa to her room, but, he nodded quickly, looking around at the other suitors, his eyes falling on Revan for a moment before he picked up Elsa as carefully as he could. Then, he ran off, or at least tried, to, making sure not to move his arms too much as Elsa, injured as she was, probably wouldn't react to that very well.
He was starting to gasp as he was on his way up the stairs, realizing that it was a bit of an problem going as fast as he was while carrying another person, Elsa wasn't particularly combined, but, his body wasn't used to carrying someone else. It seemed he was tiring out quicker than he had expected, but, he gritted his teeth as he continued on, past the paintings, a few suits of armor, and various rooms as his eyes darted around, desperately searching for Elsa's room. Sooner or later though, his eyes fell upon the door which lead to her room, the distinct pattern upon the door catching his eye as he drew near, his legs were burning by now, but, he continued onwards, pushing open the door and only stopping when she reached her bed, setting he down upon it as gently as he could. He leaned against one of the bed posts as he started to catch his breath "How's... The... Leg..." he asked, turning to her after he had rested a little, he actually looked worried about her... No trace of thought about his mission in his mind as of yet.

Elsa felt humiliated. She shot Anna a glare, hoping to relay she was quite unhappy with the princess' decision for Leuan to carry her up to her room. Sure, Elsa knew she probably couldn't walk with a big hole in her leg, but she felt uncomfortable with the idea of someone she didn't know going into her room. Having been shot in the leg accidentally by a stranger she didn't know was bad enough; Elsa just wanted some peace and quiet now. The queen was fed up with suitors, parties, and competitions for the day. She just wanted to rest, be left alone, and curl up with a good book.
As Leuan carried Elsa to her room, she said nothing, but glanced behind them to see that some of her servants were following along. When they arrived to Elsa's room and Leuan settled her down onto her bed, the servants came forward to help better tend to her wound and make her comfortable.
"I'll live," Elsa mumbled in reply to Leuan when he asked how her leg was feeling. It hurt, of course, but after being wounded she tried to close off her emotions as best she could like she usually did. "Thanks for your help," she added. "You're dismissed. You may go see Princess Anna to speak with her about the results of the contest. I apologize for all of the trouble you were put through," she said, trying to keep her words formal.

Leuan backed off a little as he started to recover, noticing that the servants were already hard at work giving Elsa the proper care that she needed, though he was rather relieved to hear that she would live... He wasn't too experienced in the medical field, but, he did know such a wound wasn't lethal, so, why was he so worried all of a sudden? He shrugged a little, nodding wht Elsa thanked him, dismissing him more or less, though he felt he should head off to where Princess Anna was, he figured Elsa could do with something to occupy herself while she was recovering, so, he quickly glanced over the shelves, finding a book called "Brave" laying around. This made him recall her expessing how much she had enjoyed that back when she had gotten the idea for the archery contest and all. So, he carefully placed it on her lap, making sure to keep away from her injured leg and bowed a little "N-No worrys Ma'am... It was my pleasure to help you." he said, to his surprise, stuttering a little when he began to talk. He quickly shrugged it off, bowing once more and gave her a polite wave to say goodbye before he headed off out the door, trying to maintain his calm composition as he headed off to see Princess Anna.

In the ballroom, Princess Anna spoke to the winners of the contest as Leuan arrived. The rest of the men--the ones who didn't win the contest--were being ushered out of the room by the castle guards. It was clear that the party was over and the servants were now cleaning the place up. Some maids could be seen sweeping the floor, cleaning windows, and carrying platters of leftover food out of the room. When Leaun approached the group, he could hear Anna instructing the winners where they would find their rooms in the guest chambers. The winners would now be allowed to stay in the castle.
Revan was the first of the group to notice Leuan when he made his way over. "Hey, it turns out I made it to the top five! I guess I got pretty lucky," he told Leuan with a laugh. "I think you did, but you missed part of what Princess Anna explained so you might want to see her."
When Princess Anna was finally done speaking with the other men, she turned to Leuan. "Oh! You're going to need a room key. You're one of the winners after all," she said with a grin. "And you've helped out a lot. Thanks so much. If you need help finding your room or need anything at all, just let me or one of the servants know."

Leuan looked a little surprised when Revan noticed him, but, he waved, cracking a smile himself since he didn't want to seem distant, even if it wasn't normal for him to do that sort of thing, it would at least seem like it to the others. He blinked, Revan's words making him realize that he did indeed miss what Anna wanted to explain, though, he really did hope he was one of the people who made it, so far no-one was ushering him out or anything, so, maybe he was...
With high hopes, he approached Anna, relaxing a little at her words, though he grew a little sheepish when she thanked him "Er... It was nothing..." he mumbled, wondering how Elsa was doing all of a sudden. He nodded a little at Anna's offer for help and shrugged "Right... I think I'll be fine." he said, trying to be as polite as possible as he did this, giving her a wave before he headed off to his room with the key to it in hand... After doing a little searching, he finally managed to find his room. Walking in, he sighed a little, rubbing his temples a bit, he felt a bit worn out to say the least, it's been a long day, and so far he had yet to blow his cover, but... There was no telling what he would do if he let down his guard for even a moment, though, at the same time, his mind again drifted towards thinking about Elsa, wondering if she was alright again. He let out a big of a sigh, unsure what the matter was with him today, but, perhaps he could just sleep all of this off... And with that last thought, he was asleep.
(Yeah, timeskipping would be ok o.o)

It was raining the next day. In fact, shortly after Leuan fell asleep the night before the rain had started. It was a bad storm nobody had seen coming, so naturally nobody was allowed in or out of the castle during that day. Princess Anna visited each of the five men who finished the contest and explained to them that Elsa wasn't feeling well due to her injury of yesterday along with the bad weather, so they would be able to visit with her another day. They were, however, free to roam the castle, visit the library, and have anything they wanted brought to them from the servants. They were honored guests, after all.
Outside of Leuan's room, toward the evening, a couple of guards were talking to each other.
"I heard they haven't seen the queen all day."
"Really? Shouldn't she be in her chambers resting after that injury she received the other day?"
"She should, but I heard one of the maids say she went out into the rain by herself. I wonder what she's up to?"
It was true indeed that the queen had left the castle. She was outside, wearing a cloak to protect herself from the rain as she stood in an open field, practicing with a bow and arrow. She was the only one outside, braving the elements on an injured leg.

Leuan had a bit of a drowsy look on his face when Anna had visited him, it seemed he was a bit more tired than usual this morning to say the least... A sense of disappointment settled in his chest when he heard that Elsa wasn't available to be visited today, but, he could blame her; such an injury would require alot of rest to recover from, and it was almost as if the weather was against them right now. He sighed a little, but, nodded wearily at the rest of what Anna said, laying back down in his bed to sleep a bit more. Soon enough, he started wandering around, eating food whenever it was served at breakfast, and lunch of course... He couldn't help but feel a looming sense of boredom, but, at the same time, this place was alot more hospitable than the area he had to stay at in Weselton, and in fact, he could get used to life here.
Time passed by so slowly that it was almost unbearable for Leuan at the moment, and by the time evening was starting to settle over the land, he was laying down in his bed, having visited the library to grab a random book off the shelf at some point. It was called "The Princess Bride" or something like that, and, to be honest, he was actually getting into reading it when a conversation the guards outside his door drew his attention, placing a bookmark between the pages, he put the book on the table next to his bed. Then, he climbed out of bed, slowly creeping closer and closer to listen to the guards, it seemed Elsa wasn't where he was told she was, but, yet, he couldn't help but worry for her, he wasn't sure why she had up and left like that though... A sense of curiousity and bravery took him over after a while, and, since he had nothing else to do, he quietly exited his room, stopping to put on his own cloak before heading on his way outside, trying to keep a low profile as he did so. What could Elsa be doing outside? Especially if it was something that was occupying her throughout the entire day according to the guards? He had no idea, but, he hoped he would find some answers once he reached her... She couldn't be that far, right?

A very focused Queen Elsa, pulled back the string of her bow and fired an arrow, only to misfire and cause it to hit the ground a few feet in front of her. She sighed and sat the bow down for a moment, trying to readjust herself so she wouldn't be as wobbly on her injured leg. Underneath her cloak and her arm, Elsa had a wooden crutch she partly leaned on to help herself stand straighter. It helped a little, but because the ground beneath her feet was muddy from the rain, it was harder to stand very straight at all without wobbling. After she adjusted herself as best she could, the queen furrowed her brows in frustration and picked up the bow to fiddle with it a bit more. She was very shaky and could hardly tell what she was doing anymore--the rain splashing in her face wasn't helping much.
"Okay, maybe if I just-- Whoa!"
Elsa slipped backwards, her backside falling right into the mud. Her bow went flying a couple feet in front of her, while all the arrows she had been working with spilled all over the ground. A couple of them stuck in the mud, sinking down into it. The queen grumbled. She wasn't injured from her fall into the mud, but she wasn't exactly happy with what she had accomplished either. She hadn't gone out in the rain to slip and fall, no, she wanted to master this darned bow and arrow!

It was uncertain what exactly drew Leuan towards the location where Elsa was, but, as he trecked through the forest, he kept on following a set path, letting his gut instincts lead him on. After stumbling around a bit, the rain starting to soak through his cloak, he finally heard the souts of someone moving, and an arrow being launched from a bow, and walking closer and closer, the trees felt like they parted for him as he saw Elsa. It looked like she was practicing with the bow, even if she wasn't having too much luck with it, she didn't seem to want to give up.
Leuan watched for a moment, and while he normally would have laughed, he simply felt bad for her in this situation, though he was indeed confused why she would want to practice in conditions such as this in the shape that she was in, one had to admire her dedication. Eventually, when he saw her fall in the mud as she slipped backwards, dropping all she had on her, Leuan approached slowly, being carefull not to make too much noise, and when he finally reached her, he offered a hand out to her in an effort to help her up. "Need any help?" He asked, it seemed almost natural for him to say that, even if this was something he didn't say on a regular basis, he was rather drenched by now, being out in the pouring rain like this, but, it didn't seem to bother him.

A very frustrated and muddy Queen Elsa immediately attempted to get back up after having fallen into the mud. She grunted and struggled, finding the mud very difficult to pull free from as if it were some kind of glue. After a moment of pulling herself, Elsa eventually managed to stand halfway up, only to lose her balance and fall back into the blasted mud once again. She spat out some of the mud that had splattered on her face and let out a sigh. Now what?
Before she could contemplate any more actions she might take, the queen was met with a familiar voice and a hand outstretched in front of her. "Need any help?"
Her eyes widened and cheeks immediately flushed red upon seeing the man. She was surprised he had found her. After all, she hadn't told anyone where she would be going. She quickly tried to brush off her embarrassed expression, attempting to act strong and independent. "That's quite all right. I can do this myself."
Once more, Elsa attempted to stand only to fall back into the mud. She sighed, finally giving in and taking Leuan's hand. "A-All right, I suppose I'll take your help just this once. Thank you," she told him, finally standing up when he helped her. "If I may ask, what are you doing out here in such weather? I didn't expect to see anyone else out here," she said, glancing around to see if anyone else had come out. She didn't see anyone else, and was relieved that she didn't. It was embarrassing enough that Leuan had seen her out here like this.

Leuan tilted his head a little as he watched Elsa try and get up a few times on her own, it seemed she was hard set on doing things herself, something she gained his respect for, though, after watching her for a while, she finally seemed to give in to his help. He gave a friendly smile, mostly out of instinct this time as he helped her up, though, he was a little caught off guard when Elsa mentioned what he was doing here, expecially in this weather, and to tell the truth; he really didn't have much of an answer. "Well... I decided to go for a walk." Leuan said, trying to mask his lie, as he didn't have a better answer for her, explaining why he had decided to follow some gut instinct was something he really couldn't do at the moment... The words were just not coming to him, the right words that is.
He stood there for a while, trying to "play it cool" as one would call it, not seeming to be bothered by the rain that was still soaking into the cloak he was wearing, perhaps he should have picked a thicker one; he hadn't really looked carefull when he had grabbed one out of the closet and headed outside. On the other hand, he didn't seem to be looking down on Elsa in any way, in fact, he acted as if this entire situation was something that happened everyday, perhaps because he didn't know better... Or just simply because it felt that way to him right now, soon enough, he felt like he needed to break the silence again by saying something else "Could I practice with you?" he asked, diguising the fact that he stumbled over his words a little, confused as to why that particular question came up, but, he figured practicing would be nice at any rate, hadn't much else to do today anyways.

The young queen realized her clothing had began to cling to her body after she stood up. Elsa was soaked from the rain. It didn't matter to her though. She still wanted to continue shooting her bow and arrow, even if it meant being wet, cold, embarrassed, and uncomfortable with pain from her injured leg. Once Leuan had helped her, Elsa hobbled over to where she had dropped her bow, carefully picking it up. "I'm surprised you would fancy a walk in this kind of weather. It's cold and wet. Your clothes will probably get soaked," she warned, realizing the same thing was happening to her. She tried to ignore it though and focus on the task she had come outside to do.
She had hoped Leaun would leave after realizing his clothes would be soaked, but since he didn't she tried to ignore him for a minute. She adjusted herself and attempted to steady her bow arm, only to lose focus when Leuan asked if he could practice with her. "I suppose I have nothing against it, but I don't see why you would want to practice," she commented. "You were one of the winners of the archery contest. You're an expert with your bow. I, on the other hand, need to learn a thing or two," she queen admitted with a frown.

Leuan didn't seem to pay attention to her warning, but, he nodded a little, to aknowledge that he had heard her regardless, her response to his question didn't seem to deter him all that much, he shrugged a little "Even the best archers need practice." he said with a bit of a wry smile on his face. He didn't seem to mind that Elsa was a little less skilled, shifting his cloak a little to the side, it was revealed that he had brought both a bow and a quiver full of arrows with him; he most likely stopped by the armory right before he headed out to find Elsa... Incase he needed to defend himself on his trip, but, it seemed it would be put to use in another way now.
As he readied his bow, loading one arrow into it as he pulled back the string, he slowed down his movements, almost as if he was trying to make the method he was using to hold the bow and aim his shot easy to comprehend for Elsa, as if he was trying to teach her it himself in some cryptic way. Despite how he may look, he wasn't always very up front about things when he felt it wasn't neccesary, but, he did hope Elsa got the gist of it. Once he felt his aim was right and he had waited long enough, he let the arrow go, causing it to sail towards a tree right in front of him, embedding itself in the wood. Despite not physically turning to see if Elsa was looking, his eyes looked towards her, wondering if she was paying attention to him, and if she understood what he was trying to do.

Creases formed on the queen's forehead as she heard Leuan reply to her, and the young woman frowned. In his state of near perfection of archery skills he displayed the other day, Elsa didn't understand why he would need to practice immediately the next day. Skipping a day or two of practice didn't mean his skills would wane. Elsa, on the other hand, really did need to learn a thing or two about using a bow and arrow. Her blue eyes fixed on the young man in front of her when he slowly drew his bow.
She studied his form carefully as he fired the arrow, realizing he was indeed going a little slower--as if to show her how it was done correctly. When his own eyes turned to look at her, their eyes met for a brief moment before Elsa quickly turned her head away and began to nervously fiddle with her braid, cheeks flushing lightly. As usual, she couldn't bring herself to make eye contact with a male for long. "You're good at that," she finally said, still not looking at him. "Tell me, why do you think I came out here today--the day after I was shot with an arrow--and immediately started practicing with a bow?" she asked, curious what he read from her actions.

Leuan looked towards Elsa when she spoke, fixing his gaze on her for a moment when she asked him that question, it seemed it had caught him off-guard, though, of course, he tries his best to hide that... He fell silent for the moment as he started to think about his answer, it was a good question after all; why? Combing through his mind, he quickly found what he was looking for, that book; Brave? Yes, now he remembered, a girl who was unsure who to wed, therefore decided to hold an archery competition, but... Elsa did also mention that that girl herself joined the competition too, then again though, the competition was over, so that couldn't be it, could it?
After a while, Leuan decided to speak, though a bit hesitantly, his tone of voice slightly giving away that he wasn't sure about this "You... Didn't want to repeat that incident..." he said, trying to keep his tone level... It was a guess really, most likely a foolish one, but, who was he to back down from a question? While he acted calm enough, on the inside, he himself was hoping that he had guessed right, but, why? What sort of disadvantage could come from answering such a mundane question wrong? Perhaps because it would impact his mission negatively? No... Not any of his missions have ever given him the feeling of uncertainty he had here, so... What exactly was the source of this sort of behavior?

Quietly waiting for Leuan's reply, Elsa said nothing at first when he answered her. It took a moment for the queen to find the right words to reply with. "That's not it at all," she finally said. She wasn't annoyed that he couldn't figure it out. She had simply asked because she was curious how he would answer. Elsa couldn't blame him for answering wrong either. After all, he didn't know her very well. They had only just met the other day.
Glancing toward the target in the distance, Elsa replied, "When the arrow shot me yesterday, it scared me. I was afraid. I'm sure that's a silly thing for a queen to admit, but it's true. I'm scared quite often of many things. After I was shot with the arrow it added another thing to my list of things I'm afraid of. That upset me. So I thought I'd... attempt to overcome the fear before it was... too late," she told him, continuing to keep her gaze averted.

Leuan actually seemed a bit sheepish when he realized he was wrong... His ego wasn't damaged that badly, but, for some reason, he still got a rather nasty feeling, directed mostly towards himself from this sntire thing... Though, noticing that Elsa didn't seem annoyed, he seemed to relax a little, quickly reverting to his previous, calm, state, listening to what she was saying calmly, nodding his head. It was quite clear that he understood the situation really; it was actually a principle he himself was raised up by.
Despite this, he noticed that she seemed a little uncomfortable admitting such a thing, so, he merely gave her a bit of a smile "You aren't the only one who thinks that way." he said, sounding rather non-challant about admitting this. The way he was raised, it seemed he had no trouble admitting such things as this, in fact, if practically felt normal for him, though, deep down, he couldn't help but wonder if that was the only reason why he felt so comfortable admitting this all of a sudden... He barely even knew Elsa after all.

The way Leaun replied to Elsa in such a nonchalant and uncomfortable manner made Elsa not only more nervous, but also made her peg this man as the mysterious type. "Oh really?" Elsa replied, "Tell me then, have you been afraid of a bow and arrow in the past? Or are you referring to s-something else?" she questioned, hoping to get more answers out of him. Shortly after speaking, she realized she had stammered due to discomfort. While the queen never felt cold, the rain was starting to bother her. It kept causing her hair to fall in her eyes and her vision to blur. At this rate, it was going to be quite tricky to continue practicing. Unless she used a bit of ice to fix her problem...
"I do hope you aren't offended by magic, because I'm about to use some," she warned Leaun, lifting a hand above her head. Elsa then snapped her fingers, causing the water all around them to freeze in mid-air. But instead of the frozen water falling on them, Elsa held it in the air before causing the little ice chunks to meld together into a circular dome above them. She left a hole in the dome, of course, so she could still fire some arrows, but made it closed off enough so that water would stop splashing in her face. "There, that's better. I'm not sure why I didn't do that in the first place," she said with a huff.

"Well... I-" Leuan began, noticing the discomfort Elsa was experiencing, perhaps it was the rain? In fact, come to think of it, he himself was beginning to experience a bit of a chill, not that it was a concern really... It was more of the fact that the rain was starting to blur his vision, soaking through his clothes. However, it seemed that Elsa had things covered, mentioning using magic; Leuan nodded a little in response to what she said, looking more curious than anything about what she was going to do. This would mark the first time he'd ever seen something like this that Elsa did, the most that he had experienced was mere stories, tales, and legends passed down by fellow residents of Weselton, never being confirmed or denied of their truthfullness.
Elsa made it look so easy; creating a dome of ice, solidifying, and "molding" the water around them to create an icy dome, even taking the liberty to create a hole in the dome, big enough for them to fire arrows through when they practiced some more. It was quite obvious that Leuan was impressed, he'd never seen anything even remotely like this in his life, and whatever stories circulating around Weselton was nothing compared to seeing this in person! Though, soon enough, Leuan cleared his throat, smiling a little, partially out of genuine gratefullness "I must say... You really have an extroardinary talent..." he mused to himself, seeming to be thinking about something before he spoke again. "Well... I guess I still haven't answered your question... You up for a story?" he asked, raising a brow. His expression had returned to the normal, neutral one that he usually had on his face, though, it was already a bit of a rare occurence to see him show the emotions he did not too long ago.

With her icy dome completed, Elsa immediately felt more comfortable. Still, she was wet from the rain, deciding would attempt to dry herself off. Elsa took off the cloak she had been wearing before freezing all the water on her body. Once it had frozen, the ice simply fell off her body and she was dry. The only thing she couldn't "freeze dry" was her hair. If she did something like that it was quite possible for her to damage it.
Once Elsa was a bit more comfortable, she glanced back at Leuan--seeing that he appeared quite amazed. Elsa wasn't sure if it was genuine amazement, or if he was amazed out of fear. Most people were afraid of her powers just as much as she was afraid of being rejected because of them. Still, Elsa made no effort to find out what his reaction meant. She simply thanked him for his compliment before replying to his next statement. "Very well," she said. "I suppose I don't mind listening while I practice." Elsa picked up her bow again and glanced at the man, waiting to see what he would have to say.

Leuan, noticing Elsa getting the water out of her clothes, shrugged, taking off his cloak for a moment to wring it dry quickly; it was the thing that was bothering him the most at the moment, so, he figured he'd get that out of the way before it became too much of an annoyance to bear. It seemed that Elsa had noticed his reaction to her magic though, however, he couldn't quite figure out what she thought about it... In the end, he just sort of shrugged it off, and, upon her response, nodded a little.
"Well... I used to be afraid of the dark you see..." Leuan began, absent mindedly cocking an arrow into his bow, a far away look became prominent in his eyes. "Ever since I was very young... I was too afraid to venture into dark places... Terrified of the mere occurence of the night." He said, shaking his head a little, his voice had grown a little fainter, the difference in his tone was barely audible as he fired off an arrow, letting it hit a tree in front of him with a resonant *thunk*. "But, no matter how scared I was... I was always told to face my fears, again and again, until they went away before it was too late." He said, reaching for another arrow from his belt. "Needless to say... As soon as my fear of the darkness became apparant, I was... Encouraged, to venture out into the dark, at the latest hours of the night. A treacherous task at first, but, when at long last, the feeling of fear was gone... It felt like a large burden had been lifted off my chest." Leuan finished, cocking the arrow into his bow and smiling just slightly and shaking his head, as if he recongized how childish this all sounded... But, in the end, it seemed he had taken what he was taught to heart.
Suddenly, he blinked a little, realizing how much he had said just then; it wasn't exactly normal of him to do that, quite the contrary actually... Though, as strange as it was, he didn't feel particularly bothered by it when he was telling all that to Elsa, not even registering what he was doing until just now. Was that sort of thing supposed to happen right now?... Leuan didn't have an immediate answer for that, and, as he pulled back the arrow loaded into his bow and fired it, letting it hit just a little above the previous one. Afterwards, he glanced at Elsa a few times, not entirely sure how she was going to react to a silly story like that.

Queen Elsa listened to Leuan's story as she said she would, quietly paying attention until he had finished. After he had finished, however, a chuckle escaped the young woman's lips. She quickly placed a hand over her mouth, instantly feeling bad for her action. She hadn't meant to laugh! Even though it had been a tiny one! She knew she didn't like people laughing at her own fears, so she was certain other people probably felt the same way. She took her hand off her mouth and rubbed the back of her head sheepishly after a moment.
"Forgive me for laughing. It wasn't my place to do such a thing. I just feel everyone is afraid of the dark at one point or another. Your fear wasn't an uncommon one; I used to be afraid of the dark along with my sister as well. That's really nothing to be ashamed of," said Elsa, picking up an arrow and shakily moving to cock an arrow into her bow. She wasn't used to shooting arrows, so the action felt clumsy to her. Not only that, but the queen worried she would shoot her arrow into the ground on accident. "But I commend you for overcoming your fear. I have many fears, and I will admit I haven't overcome many of them at all."

Hearing Elsa laugh, Leuan noticed that it felt rather contagious... Soon enough, he was laughing alongside her it seemed he found that silly old fear funny too; in fact, it was one of the most mundane things he had once been afraid of. Quite obviously, he had used an easy example to talk about; he hated to admit it, but, talking about more serious fears, and the methods employed to combat then weren't something he liked to discuss, much less, reflect on very often, perhaps he still feared those things, he'd just gotten used to being afraid.
Leuan looked towards Elsa, hearing what she had just said, smiling a little as he shook his head "To tell you the truth... I've yet to overcome alot of my own fears." he admitted, kicking at the ground absent mindedly... It wasn't that he felt much resentment over it, just, regret. Though, eventually he shrugged a little, as if he were just shrugging off his thoughts like that, looking towards Elsa; she seemed to be having a bit of trouble with cocking the arrow into her bow, though... He quickly realized it wasn't the action itself, but most likely the possibilities that might come from it, though he was tempted to physically help her, he decided to speak instead, ending up continuing off of where he had left off when he had spaced out. "The secret to doing it is to concentrate on the desired outcome." He said, smiling a little, it seemed he was trying to "coach" her in a way, he believed she was very well capable of firing an arrow on her own.

It was surprising to Elsa that Leuan laughed right along with her. She didn't know too many people who enjoyed having their fears laughed at, including herself. But maybe it was different with Leuan and the particular fear he mentioned. After all, he had overcome it. "What kind of fears do you have, Sir Leuan?" she asked, still fiddling with her bow as she spoke. When she was multitasking between Leuan and the bow, it felt easier to talk to him. Maybe because her attention was split and she didn't have to entirely focus on him.
Upon hearing Leuan's instruction about the bow, Elsa felt a little confused. "Is that really how it works with a bow? Because that isn't how it works for my ice powers... for years I desired an outcome where I would learn how to control them, but that's not how I learned to control them in the end," she said with a shrug. A bow was probably different though. It wasn't magical like her ice powers were, after all.

"Well..." Leuan said, trailing off a little as he realized it may not be the best idea to tell Elsa about his own fears just yet, but, perhaps he could jsut give her an idea... Some of his fears were things he'd rather not disclose; it would most likely blow his cover to say the least, though, at the same time, it felt a little less difficult to talk to her about such things than anyone else really. "I guess my fears are centered more around current things." he said, cocking his head to the side a little, as if trying to think of what else he was going to say.
However, beforethat could happen, somewhat to his relief, Elsa commented on his advice, and, in response, he smiled a little "I'm no expert... But, from what I've heard, using magic isn't like using a bow... The two things have different ways to wield them effectively." he said thoughtfully, putting a hand on his chin, as if he were pondering what he just said a little; it had been quite a while since he'd started thinking about what it would be like to use magic like Elsa did...

The queen continued to keep her attention split, but began to let it drift more toward the bow after hearing what Leuan's answer to her was. It was almost a sort of vague, cryptic type of answer that made her unsure about pressing to learn more. If he didn't want to tell Elsa his fears, she didn't feel he had to, but at least he could admit that to her. But anyhow, since he hadn't said he'd rather keep them private, Elsa gave in and decided to question him more on it. "Current things? Such as current events?" she questioned, wondering if he had traumatic life experiences. If that was the case, then she most definitely wouldn't press for more details.
"I suppose not," replied Elsa, drawing another arrow back on her bow after a moment. "Magic and material weapons are two different things entirely. There's the fact that material weapons will always do the same thing, but magic can be unpredictable at times. So I guess there really aren't that many similarities." The queen watched the arrow drawn back on her bow, attempting to keep her arm straight. "Where you come from, is there anyone with magic?" she asked, curious, frowning when she realized that she actually didn't know where he came from. "Uh, but, where do you come from?" she added sheepishly. If he had said before, Elsa honestly hadn't paid attention. In social situations, the queen spent more time trying to figure out how to get out of them then she actually did trying to absorb any information that people said to her.

Leuan blinked, perhaps he had said too much, but, he knew he has to answer her questions, all of them, so some would be easier to answer than others. "Well... I suppose current events would describe it..." he said, a slightly thoughtfull expression crossing his face. Answering the qeustion about magic would be the easiest, at least in his eyes, "It's uncommon to see a magic user where I'm from... Only legends about them exist there..." he said, a sort of disappointe expression appearing on his face, just for a moment though before his expression returned to the normal, neutral one he usually donned, was it just him? Or was he starting to let down his guard a little?
Now, would be the hard part, to answer the question about where he was from, he paused for a brief moment before he answered "I come from the far West..." he said, deciding not to reveal the name of his home-town just yet. It would be rather awkward to tell the Queen of Arandelle that he was from Weselton, which was indeed farther down to the west from Arandelle, this had only become a complication ever since that Duke's poorly made decisions, leading to a halt in the trade between the two Kingdoms. Leuan cocked yet another arrow into his bow now, as he waited for a response, and fired it into the tree in front of him; there was a slightly crooked, but, relatively neat looking like of arrows down it now, it wasn't very big, but, it probably would grow in size soon enough... It was a little quirk of his, but, he'd never liked wasting arrows when he was just practicing, shattering them against one another felt more fitting in a public competition rather than a more private practice session like this.

Queen Elsa only nodded at his worse, starting to zone out his responses as she focused on her arrows. Unfortunately, however, she was beginning to become a bit uninterested in continuing her practice. She figured, maybe it would be easier to try and practice on another day when the weather wasn't so poor? And maybe even on another day when she didn't have someone hovering over her shoulder. "I see, well, I've never really visited the west," Elsa said, responding to the one comment he mad that she hadn't ignored. "But, as a queen, I'll need to start visiting new locations soon. I'm not really much for traveling, but it's just something I'll have to do." Elsa frowned. As a queen, she would always end up having to do things she really didn't want to do. It was quite a shame.
"Anyhow, I think I'm going to be done with this task. It's hard to focus on shooting arrows when it's raining. That may be part of why it's so hard for me right now," she admitted. With a wave of her hand, Elsa lowered the barrier of ice she had made around them, feeling the rain start to fall upon her head once again. "So, perhaps we should go back inside and dry off?" she offered.

Leuan nodded a little at Elsa's comment; he could definitely relate... Alot of the time, his, well, career brought him all over the place, even when he didn't feel like traveling, and, sometimes... He found himself doing things that he didn't want to, but, had to in the end, to keep living... Though, sometimes he wasn't even sure if it was worth it at all, however, it was too late to change it; he was simply in too deep. Though, why was he thinking about all of that now? He had a mission, but, at the same time, he was less and less confident about going through with the whole thing, but, why? Was the great Leuan losing his nerve? Or, maybe he had grown a soft spot, but, was that even possible?
What Elsa said though jolted him out of his existential pondering for a moment, and, he nodded in response "I guess you're right..." he said, he didn't pull his hood back over his head; sure the rain made it rather cold, but... It never bothered him anyways... Wait, didn't Elsa say that once? Who knows, in either case, that was the truth. Though, getting all soaked like this wasn't exactly pleasant "I won't object to that." he said, managing to crack a smile, he headed over to the tree to retrieve the arrows embedded in it's trunk. Then, he started on the way to the castle, stopping to wait for Elsa before he continued... It was more of something he did instinctively rather than something he had consciously done, like he didn't even need to think about doing such things anymore, something about him had definitely changed since his arrival here...

Just as soon as Leuan agreed to go back into the castle with her, Elsa began to make her way back inside. Upon entering, the guards who stood and the gates appeared surprised to see Leuan and Elsa--but especially the queen--outside in the rain. Elsa, on the other hand, found it amusing that the guards of her castle always found it odd to see her outside during any sort of precipitation. Anything cold and wet didn't bother the blonde one little bit. Some people probably weren't used to that fact yet, but it was the norm for Elsa.
Once inside, Elsa called a maid over to bring the two of them some fresh towels while she waited with Leuan near the entrance. She hardly said a word to him, again submitting to a shy spell. She could bring herself to speak with him every once in a while, but at the end of the day she still just wasn't used to speaking with a male. One little planned party by Princess Anna wasn't about to change that. Anxiety was a part of who the queen was, and Elsa doubted it could change in a day.
When the maid returned with fresh towels, Elsa began to dry her hair off first. While she was drying her hair, the maid offered Leuan a towel, leaning in to whisper in his ear when Elsa was distracted. "I'm from back home. When you get some time, meet me in the kitchen. Its about your mission." She then stepped to the side as if she had never spoke, waiting for Elsa and Leuan to dry themselves off.

After she had dried herself off, Elsa slung her wet towel toward the person closest to her--thinking it was the maid from before. To her embarrassment, however, it was Leuan! Her wet towel slapped him right in the face. Opps! How inelegant! This was something that Anna would do--no offense--and she probably looked like such a spazz.
"Ah, my apologies," she said, letting out a laugh afterwards. Ugh, and now she was even laughing too! Laughing at him was probably rude, by the queen couldn't help herself. For some reason, she found her previous action amusing.

Leuan followed behind rather closely, occasionally brushing a strand of water-logged hair away from his face; judging from the expression the guards had on, they probably didn't expect them to pop out of the rain falling around them just like that. Though, looking at Elsa on the other hand, she seemed almost natural the way she was out here, despite the cold freezing rain that is, though, neither of them seemed to be too bothered by the temperature, though, Leuan was beginning to get a little bothered by the clammy feeling the rain inevitably brought.
As the maid Elsa had called for arrived soon enough, Leuan started to dry off his face first rather than his hair, leaving it till last, keeping in mind what the maid had told him... Though he was trying his best not to blow his cover by motioning back too much, so, he just nodded, ever so subtly, starting to dry off his hair now as he started to think again. What could this mean? Was there something else he was supposed to keep in mind? Well, he'd probably be told in due time, but, it didn't stop the curiousity, and possibly concern from gnawing at him, even if just a little.
Noticing that Elsa had finished drying herself by the time he had managed to wring all the water out of his rather copious locks of hair, he headed upstairs with her, he figured he might as well catch some shuteye... Maybe a brief conversation before he went off to the Kitchen. For some reason, he felt like he wanted to put that little meeting off for the time being, he almost dreaded it really, for reasons he himself couldn't really explain, no matter how hard her had tried... Was it strange that- *smack* he was abruptly brought back to reality by a cold, wet fabric that had more or less just slapped him right in the face.
It took him a few moments to fumble around with it before he finally pulled it off of his face, it left a damp feeling, but, nothing he couldn't deal with... Though, shamefully enough, Elsa was laughing at him all the while. Granted, however, it probably did look funny from a spectator's point of view, and, with that in mind, he laughed a little himself "No worries... It could have been worse." he said, trying to play it off as nothing, though he couldn't escape the slight embarrassment he was feeling about it all. Despite that on the other hand, he was alright, and his ego for the most part was intact, he figured he'd just walk Elsa to her room, then, head off to his room... Or, maybe he should just head to the Kitchen right after? It's better to hear what that maid had to say about his mission sooner rather than later, right?

Her cheeks flushed red and she turned away for a moment, trying to convince herself of his words. "Right, it could've been worse," she mumbled in reply. But in truth, Elsa had found the situation to be rather embarrassing. A queen was supposed to have grace and charm, but slinging around a wet towel was rather careless and silly. Then again, it was kind of like something Anna would do so maybe it wasn't all that bad. It wasn't as if she was like an ordinary queen anyhow.
Taking a lock of blonde hair to fiddle with in her soft hands, Elsa gathered the nerve to look at him again after a moment. She cleared her throat, attempting to sound strong and queenly. "Anyhow, I do apologize for keeping you out in the rain for so long. Do you have any plans for the rest of the day? If not, I shall walk you to your room and be out of your way." Trying not to let her guard slip again, the queen worked her best to keep her voice sounding official. She couldn't be too much like her ordinary self around him. If that happened, she could slip up and embarrass herself again. She really didn't want that to happen.

Leuan noticed Elsa's embarrassment, but, didn't comment on it; that probably wouldn't help much really, instead, he just offered a smile and a nod, wiping away the slight dampness left over by that wet towerl from his face as he thought a little. That incident certainly could have gone better, but, it also could have been worse... It wasn't such a big deal, nor much of an inconvenience fortunately, but, he couldn't help but feel like it wasn't exactly one of his finest moments on duty... Or, really, even off-duty all things considered.
Soon enough, Elsa's voice snapped him out of his thoughts once more, he just shrugged in response "Getting wet once in a while isn't that bad..." he said, though, he shrugged a little "I don't have many plans right now... But, I'll let you know if anything turns up." he added, smiling once more... A genuine smile too, but, once more, he wasn't sure why he was doing this; it just... Came naturally. Though it was a shame they were parting soon, he did realize that he had that little meeting to get to, and, well... Would it be a good idea to grow too close to someone you're supposed to be taking out? Not in the romantic way either, but, could he even help it? The answer was uncertain, but, as far as he was concerned, he really couldn't seem to keep his feelings in check like he had so many other times... It frustrated him a little as he had no idea why that was the case.

Once again, Queen Elsa wavered between sounding official and speaking more like her ordinary self. Her next reply to Leuan came off as more casual than her offer to walk him back to his room. "True. Getting wet isn't even really that bad for me. I can just freeze all of the water on my body and shake off the ice most times." Very slightly, Elsa shrugged her shoulders. "But sometimes it's nice to use a towel like an ordinary person and not some kind of..." freak "...magician."
Stroking a bit of her damp blonde hair, Elsa turned in the direction of the castle stairs before clearing her throat. "Anyhow, let's get you to your room, shall we?" she asked him, taking one step forward to show him that she was ready to proceed. She tried to ignore her heart slightly fluttering in her chest at the sight of Leuan's smile. She couldn't quite put her finger on why, but this man seemed a bit different than the others.

Leuan nodded a little, looking a bit deep in thought... While rumors of magic such as Elsa's were common, it was deeply abolished in Weselton, but... He could never understand why; maybe it was merely a gift a select few were born with? Or, it was some sort of hidden trait that only cropped up once in a lifetime. In either case, he himself didn't see such things as abnormal no matter how little he's seen of someone like Elsa actually using their powers, though, he could understand the need to be like others, as even he himself had felt that need in a younger time.
After a while, he nodded, snapped out of his thoughts by Elsa's words, following suit when she took a step forwards "Yeah... And..." he hesitated for a moment... What was he going to say? There was something he subconsciously was preparing himself to tell her, but, all of a sudden, his mind drew blanks for some reason. "Thanks for the escort... Maybe you'd like to practice again, some other time?" He said, finishing the sentence where he had trailed off; it wasn't entirely what he wanted to say... But, it was good enough to put his mind at ease for now.

As she walked along, Queen Elsa began to curl the damp ends of her hair around her fingers. Whenever Leuan drifted into thought, the silence was honestly welcoming to the blonde. She didn't like having to talk to him too much, when she wasn't all that used to talking for long periods of time. The breaks were nice. She did have to wonder though, why did he take pauses? Was he strategically trying to find good replies to what she had to say as to not upset her? Did he deeply think over her words? Or perhaps he was simply daydreaming? The only one who ever daydreamed when when she spoke was her sister Anna, so Elsa wasn't entirely sure.
When he finally replied, the queen nodded. "You're most welcome." She froze for a moment, however, when he asked if they could do it again sometime. "I-I suppose so," she responded, nervously fiddling with her hair a little more. "But I wouldn't get your hopes up. Many people see me as a prize since I'm a queen, and I really think I should be careful about who I spend my time with so that I learn... who is real and who isn't." She sighed. "I suppose I'm just being careful so that I don't end up growing closer to someone who pretends to be something that they're not."

Leuan nodded, keeping his composure relatively calm "I understand... Either way, don't worry about it too much." he smiled again, strangely enough... But, why? He was a bit more open with Elsa than he was with most people, despite the whole assassin thing really, though, he realized he still had a mission to carry out, though, this time, there was this strange pang in his heart when he thought about it. After a while, he cleared his throat a little, yawning a bit "Well... Take care of yourself I guess... I'll be getting some shuteye soon enough, long day and all." he said, and, well, he wasn't really lying either...
However, he did realize that he needed to meet with that maid in the kitchen when he could, so, he'd have to drag himself to that before he went to sleep "officially"... However, he was beginning to get what was commonly known as "cold feet" about his whole mission, could he still pull it off? All these thoughts were swirling in his head, but, at the same time, he managed to keep his expression the same, warm, and friendly, but, why? Sure, it was his mission to grow close to Elsa, but, it wasn't supposed to be part of the mission to feel some sort of attatchment to her, was it?

Although Elsa had told Leuan not to get his hopes up, the queen almost felt bad for saying such a thing. Why? The queen wasn't really sure. Maybe it was because he seemed to be a decent fellow and didn't act as if he were trying to be fake to impress her. All he really did was speak with her and offer to help her out. He wasn't like a few of the snobbier men who wouldn't have even bothered to go outside into the rain to see what she was up to. That was something, at least. "You're right, I won't try to worry about it so much," Elsa finally replied after a moment, tucking a lock of her blonde hair behind an ear. "All right. I will see you later then," she said, offering a polite bow to him before heading off into her room.
Meanwhile, the "maid" from before was waiting for Leaun in the kitchen. She quietly did some work for the castle as she waited for him, pretending she was of good use to them. In truth, she was actually a spy from Leuan's land who had come there to deliver a message to him. She was supposed to aid him in his mission in any possible way she could, and at the moment she had orders to give him that were expected to be carried out soon. In fact, it was a job he would have to take care of that very night.

Leuan maintained his composure, but, on the inside, he grew a little concerned... Was it going to happen already? But... But what? Why was he getting cold feet on the night he was supposed to kill Elsa? Maybe it could be attributed to the growing feeling of attatchment to Elsa, but, why the hell now? Of all the places for this to happen to him too! Everything was beginning to take it's toll on him, but, eventually, he headed off to his room; maybe it was for the best to put an end to this madness; he was beginning to feel like he was losing his mind. However, the very thought of carrying out his mission he came here for, ironically enough, seemed to leave a rather bad taste in his mouth, causing him to freeze up, even if it was for a moment before he forced himself to move on.
He finally made it to his room, and shut the door, he looked a little worn out for a change, however, he knew he had to carry out his job... So, why the hell wasn't he just doing it? There was a knife hidden underneath his bedsheets, well, it wasn't exactly hidden, just very well cushioned... He didn't want to risk carrying such a weapon with him out in the open, but, now was the time where he'd have to use it, but, could he? Leuan shook his head from side to side, now was not the time to doubt himself, was it? After a moment of thinking, he grabbed the weapon from underneat the mattress carefully, slipping it underneath his clothing, he was experienced enough to conceal the weapon rather well, but, it still made a very subtle lump under his clothes, he'd just have to keep his actions discreet, until he reached Elsa's room. This time, instead of that strange feeling he felt before, he felt something else, apprehension perhaps, he couldn't quite explain it, but, he felt like his own body was opposing his own decisions right now... But yet, he couldn't understand why...

Klutzy Ninja Kitty - Nov 6, 2015 at 11:27 PM
Later that same evening, the very same maid--who had spoke to Leuan earlier--came to look for him. She walked all the way to his room, her fingers wrapped around the handle of a candlestick holder--which held a small burning candle. She held it close to herself; it was enough to light up her face, but not enough to light up the dim hallway. Nevertheless, she continued to walk until she had reached the assassin's door. She knocked, frowning when he didn't answer. He hadn't... gone to do his job already, had he? Wondering about this, she also began to make her way for the queen's room.
Outside of Elsa's room, Leuan would find several guards standing watch. The were armed, with their swords and looked rather alert for the time being. Quietly in the shadows, the maid began to approach Leuan, grabbing him by the back of his shirt. "You never came looking for me," she harshly whispered, blowing out her candle so the guards wouldn't see it. "I have an important message to deliver to you, straight from Weselton," she began to explain. "It's about your mission for tonight."

Leuan blinked, quickly realizing that in his thoughts, he had entirely forgotten about meeting with that maid, he stopped when he felt the back of his shirt being grabbed, which he stopped in response to, nodding a little. "Right... What is it?" He asked, keeping his voice rather low, it looks like he'd have to be a bit more carefull about this sort of thing from now on... Though, this had to be his first true stumble in this line of work, which was really starting to get to him; was his actions usually this insteady, and in such disorder? Well, this was hardly the time to think about this sort of thing now, he was literally right outside of Elsa's room, and, he couldn't risk blowing his cover, not right now.
However, what if Elsa were to come out? Then what was he supposed to do? Stand here and take it? Why was he even worried about that right now? What did he have to lose if Elsa were to walk out? Well, actually, come to think of it, the answer to that was easy; her respect, her friendship, and most likely the little semblance of the person who he was trying to be here in Arendelle, not to mention his mission being botched and some crazy reprimand from Weselton... What a fix...

The maid sighed heavily before gesturing for Leuan step back with her further into the darkness and away from the guards. She knew that if anyone caught even the slightest wind of their plan they could be in huge trouble. Not only would they lose their jobs with Weselton, but they could also be put on trail and possibly even put to death for being a threat to the queen's life.
Once they were far enough out of sight, she leaned in close to Leuan and whispered in his ear. "You're not going to kill her tonight. The boss wants you to continue trying to get close to her. If you can marry her and then kill her, you'll not only be getting rid of the Queen, but also have the power of Arendelle in your hands. So instead, you have a new task tonight. I'm going to break into her room and attack her, while you're going to stop me. It'll make you look like even more of a hero in their eyes, and will make you even more likely to win her hand. Understand?" she asked him, her eyes glancing around to make sure nobody was watching them.

... Well, this certainly wasn't something he was expecting, but on the other hand... He wasn't entirely opposed to the whole... Marriage thing. Hmm... It was odd that he was feeling adventurous like this though, and well, less like he's being pressured into basically wedding the Queen of Arandelle. Listening closely to the maid's plan, he nodded; though for a moment, as he quickly thought up a few ways he could stop her from attacking Elsa, he suddenly imagine freezing her legs in place... Because... Actually, what was that thought even?! He certainly didn't ahve ice powers, and well, neither did anyone he knew except... Well, Elsa, of course, he really must be losing it.
"I understand." He said as quietly as possible.
Looks like he was going to have to see this plan through, but well, what he was supposed to do after he wedded Elsa was seeming a whole lot less appealing to him all of a sudden... Ugh, these thoughts weren't the best to have while he was around this maid, if he were to keep himself from screwing up this whole operation, he had to at least wait until he got into his room before he well, starting brooding like this again. It was... Odd really, he hadn't usually felt strange urges like this, but he had recalled having a few peculiar thoughts in the past... Starting from his teens. What happened before that age was a bit of a blurr... All he could remember was that he was cold, and alone...

Upon hearing two simple words from Leuan to confirm his understanding, the maid whirled away from the man. "Good, just stay nearby. You should hear some chaos coming from the queen's room in a few minutes." The young woman then began to walk away from Leuan, turning to round the corner in the hallway.
She honestly wasn't all that happy about the role she was being forced to play in this assassination. It was the most dangerous role of all. If she appeared to be too much of a threat, there was a chance that Elsa's guards could kill her before Leuan even had a chance to capture her. And even if she was captured alive, there was still a chance she could be executed for her attempt at the queen's life. Knowing their organization, however, someone was likely to break her out before she was assassinated, but there was still a chance they could be too late.
Regardless, she didn't have much time to worry about these things.
Using a few back rooms that castle maids were allowed to traverse, the young assassin made her way out of the castle quickly and sneaked out of the sights of the guards. Once she was sure they weren't looking and she made their way into the blindspots of the castle guards, she began to climb the side of the tower that lead up to Elsa's room using hooks, rope, and other tools to help her hang on. She had trained for years to do things like this so the climb was swift and smooth. Before she knew it, the young woman was arriving at the top and directly in front of Elsa's room.
Now, if she wanted to, the assassin could've sneaked in quietly and probably would've been able to easily end Elsa's life. However, the whole point of this mission was to get caught. So, instead of being sneaky, the young maid loudly kicked Elsa's window in and jumped onto the floor in her room. The sound was more than enough to cause Elsa to awaken. Half asleep when she spotted the woman in maid clothing, the queen thought nothing of it.
"Could you please leave?" the queen asked. "I'm resting."
The maid assassin laughed loudly on purpose to make more noise and walked toward Elsa, giving her bed a rough kick. "I think not, your majesty," she said. Instead of heeding Elsa's wish, she quickly pinned the queen by the wrists and captured her hands behind her back easily with Elsa half asleep. Before the queen realized what was going on, she was unable to squirm and felt her hands bound by rope.
"I'm here to end your life, slowly, just as you deserve," the maid said, hitting Elsa hard across the face and causing the queen to let out a yelp. She then looked back at the maid, surprise in her eyes more than fear.
"I'll give you until the count of three to let me go," Elsa warned. "Before I deal with you. I'd really rather not," she told the woman, struggling against the ropes as she spoke.

Leuan nodded... Closing his eyes for a moment as he leaned against a nearby wall, carefull not to knock an armor stand over or something, despite all odds seeming to be against him, given the layout of the whole castle. Though he knew the Maid's plan was probably for the best, somehow, he felt a little cheated to know how things will end, even before the whole failed assassination attempt ended, not that he'd want actual competition for his job anyways, right? It was... A bit hard to tell if he really still wanted to carry it out anymore, though why should he stop here? Plenty of jobs like this one had been carried out before, right? It... Shouldn't be this difficult for him. The only difference was he would have to get... Close to his victim.
... Maybe that was the problem. A loud crashing noise suddenly pierced the silence of the night, looks like that was his cue to do something. Naturally, a true assassin would have avoided making such a jarring entrance, but since this particular assassination attempt was supposed to be easy to foil, it looks like Leuan practically had everything planned out... Well, almost everything. As he rushed up the stairs to Elsa's room, he quickly ran through the potential entrances he could take, as well as the one liner he was probably supposed to spout the moment he entered.
Well, he had never been one for that sort of thing, but... Well, if he was trying to impress Elsa, he might as well pull out all the stops, right? Unfortunately he didn't quite get the time to go through anything substantial, as he had arrived at Elsa's door. Well, since the window had been smashed, and he presumed the maid was already inside, doing her thing, he jumped to the conclusion that kicking the door open would probably be the best course of action, and so, he did. Fortunately the door wasn't much of an obstacle, and flew open with a loud thud. As expected, the maid was there alright, already having tied up both of Elsa's hands... ... What now?
At first, Leuan seemed almost frozen there... But that only lasted for a moment. Perhaps it was just his old instincts kicking in... Or maybe, he was driven by something more, but as he rushed into the scene, he let out a shout that he could hardly recognize as his own.
"Get away from her!" He yelled, suddenly launching himself across the room.
This was clearly not really his plan; to come at the maid with one, swift leaping motion in an effort to send a flying kick her way, it just sort of... Happened. Hopefully she wouldn't be too hurt by this little improvisation act, if this was even an act... Saving Elsa like this, felt unusually... Natural, like he had done this dozens of times, even though this would mark the first time he had ever actually... Saved anyone, really, even if it was part of an act. Unlike completeing one of his previous tasks, it didn't leave the cold feeling of guilt behind, though he still sort of wished that all of this wasn't planned... Perhaps it was just a pride thing, or maybe... He actually... Would have liked to save Elsa... For real...
Leuan wouldn't have much time to reflect on this though, as his kick would quickly connect with Elsa's captor... At least, if things went exactly according to plan.

The maid laughed at Elsa's threat. "Oh, you're a spunky one, aren't you? Go ahead and do your worst." Despite her confidence, the female assassin knew Elsa was no pushover. In fact, the queen could likely kill her if she wanted to. This setup was all for show. The most important, thing at the moment, was that Leuan would make it to the queen's room to stop her before Elsa rescued herself. If the queen rescued herself then an opportunity for Leuan to become more liked by the queen and her subjects would slip right through their fingers!
"Release me," Elsa stated firmly, her voice sounding more commanding than before. When the maid ignored Elsa's demand, the queen began to count to three as promised.
"One..."
"...two..."
Preparing herself, Elsa froze the tips of her fingers with the intent of cutting the rope that bound her hands.
"Thr--"
"Get away from her!" Leaun cried, seeming to fly into Elsa's room from out of nowhere. The queen's blue eyes widened in surprise and a smirk crossed the lips of the maid. Right on time. The smirk on her lips promptly faded, however, when her fellow assassin saw fit to send her flying across the room with a swift kick. She crashed into a wall and groaned before she hit the floor, shooting the man a glare. Ugh, this is acting! You don't need to be so rough!
Despite how annoyed she was, the maid played her part and pretended that Leuan's attack had been enough to subdue her. She remained on the floor, waiting for him to capture her. Moments later, the door of Elsa's room burst open and a hoard of guards entered. "What's going on in here?" one of them asked.
Elsa let ouf a huff. One would think queen's guards should be more competent. I was attacked and yet a guest at the castle did a better job of rescuing me. "I was attacked, please untie my ropes," she told the guards.

Whoops, Leuan even surprised himself at the ferocity of his strike, he had acted more out of instinct than reason, and well... Had not quite planned to hit the maid as hard as he did. In either case, despite that glare the maid had shot him, it seemed that she would be okay, despite having been sent flying across the room. He blinked a few times, seeming to be surprised at his own actions... Though it would be played off as an act if questioned about it by his... Contacts (including the maid), his reaction was as real as it gets, looks like his own actions had surprised even himself.
The guards that were posted around Elsa's room burst in not too long after, reminding Leuan of what he was supposed to do next. Since the maid was already subdued, and the guards were going to untie Elsa's ropes, he figured he would capture the maid, and... Hand her off to the guards. Hopefully her connections with other contacts from Weselton would eventually break her out. So, he did exactly that. Despite the whole thing being unlike any of his previous tasks, it still felt just natural enough for him to thwart any potential mistakes he might make, for now.
Well, his first instinct would have been to tie the maid up, but unless he was going to take a risk and tear down some curtains or something... He decided against this, and instead, carefully hoisted the maid to her feet, if she had still been conscious, though in the case that she wasn't, he would make sure to full on pick her up instead (so it wouldn't look quite so awkward). Then, he cleared his throat for a moment, before he spoke.
"Her Majesty's assailant has been... Apprehended." He said calmly, attempting to keep a formal posture.
Sure, he had brought prisoners back to his employers in Weselton before, but unlike those cases... He knew it was not wise to gloat or brag about his feat, besides, at the moment, he didn't seem to have it in him. But, even if this whole thing was a setup, he couldn't help but feel somewhat happy that he had helped Elsa out in some way...

After receiving a command from their queen, the guards moved over to the woman and untied her. Once she was free, Elsa stood up and walked over to Leuan offering a hand to him. "I believe thanks is in order," she told him. Of course, Elsa knew she could've handled this situation herself. She had been in far worse spots that she had escaped on her own without guards or extra help, but still this man did actually rescue her before Elsa had the chance to even react. It was such a speedy response, Elsa had to wonder how he even knew to come into her room so quickly.
Before speaking with her rescuer again, Elsa watched as her guards moved to capture the faux maid and take her out of the room. The situation surely had been a surprise, but for some reason Elsa hadn't been afraid. "Also, I suppose as queen it is my duty to reward you for your efforts. Is there anything you would like in return for having saved me?" Elsa questioned Leuan, her voice sounding hesitant. Leuan was one of her suitors so she had a feeling he would ask to spend more time with her.

The whole situation had been fortunately diffused without an incident, minus some displaced furniture and a possible dent in the wall, though that would hardly be noticeable. Leuan seemed a little surprised when Elsa asked if there was anything he would like in return, and... Quite unlike his usual self, he simply smiled and shook his head.
"No thanks... My reward is the comfort of knowing you are safe, my Queen." He said, bowing a little.
Huh, he had never known himself to be so formal, but... This all seemed to come so naturally in Elsa's presense, and he couldn't help but blush a little, thinking about this. Good thing the maid wasn't there to see him now, as she might even question if this was all still part of the act, as much as Leuan would like to keep telling himself just that.

Taken aback by Leuan's response, the queen couldn't find words to use for her reply. Why wouldn't he ask for a reward? If he wanted one, now would be a perfect opportunity for him to speak up. Feeling a bit odd with the silence between them, Elsa convinced herself to speak after a moment.
tumblr_inline_nnyw45nhUf1t8hke3_100.png

"Are you certain? Regardless, I'd like to reward you with something. It wouldn't be right if I didn't present you with something to show you my thanks. Take the night to think it over. If you can't come up with anything I'll come up with a reward for you myself." The Queen smiled. "It's the least I can do."
Elsa then turned to a guard, whispering something in his ear. She then turned back to look at her "rescuer" with a smile. "I'll have a guard escort you back to your room, but we'll speak again tomorrow, all right? In fact, if you wish, you may join me for breakfast and we can talk then," she offered.

Leuan nodded, smiling noticeably... It came alot more naturally than he had expected, despite the worries niggling at the back of his mind. Realizing the Queen had given him the night to think over some sort of reward, he did start to wonder if he could figure out a particular reward that would... Benefit them both.
"I'd be humbled to join you for breakfast... My Queen." He said, trying to sound as formal as he could, even bowing a little.
Though this did also benefit him in terms of achieving his ultimate goal, the whole reason he was sent here... That alone, wasn't the driving factor behind him agreesing to join Elsa for breakfast tomorrow. He, really had been looking forward to joining the Queen over a meal some time anyways, and plus, it would no doubt strengthen their relationship.
Hmm... About that reward though, as he parted from Elsa, he had an incessant urge to wink at her a little, but that instinct only managed to cause his left eye to twitch a little. Where the heck did that come from? At any rate, he'd better figure out how he was gonna go through with that reward thing... Sleeping on it would definitely help, alot.

When Leaun agreed to join her for breakfast, the queen nodded and had her men escort him back to his room. Afterwards, she--and a few others--worked to clean up her room before she went to bed herself. She wasn't sure if she was interested in having breakfast with that man or not, but she had to be polite. Still, wasn't it an odd coincidence that she either kept running into him or he was always around at the right moments? While she could've thought more on this, the queen simply decided to sleep and not worry about it.
The next morning, when it was time for her to go down to breakfast, she made her way for the dinning hall and sent a maid to fetch Leuan. While she sat at the table, she felt rather relieved about one thing: Anna wasn't a morning person. At least she wouldn't have to witness her sister teasing her about eating breakfast with a man. After all, it wasn't a date! It was an obligation! At least, she kept trying to tell herself that...

Leuan was polite to his escorts, and didn't take long at all to lay down and doze off, thanks to him letting his mind wander pretty quickly. It had been one crazily eventfull day, and so far, everything was going as planned, but he didn't really think a whole lot about his mission for once, instead... He wondered what he was going to say when he met up with Elsa in the morning, though he didn't really want anything in return for his help, he realized he had to at least think of something, otherwise they might be stuck in an awkward social limbo the next morning.
When he finally drifted off to sleep, he had an... Odd dream, where he had fallen through some ice, and sunken into the freezing waters, despite his struggles to get to the surface, the bitter coldness of the water eventually won him over. He couldn't breathe, he couldn't move, but oddly enough, just before he completely lost his battle to survive and get to the surface, there was a sudden, pale, but yet somehow warm light cast upon him. Despite not really being able to see as he was underwater, somehow, he knew it was... Moonlight?
Soon after, he awoke with a start, to the knocking on his door by a maid sent to fetch him. Despite that strange dream, he seemed to have gotten enough sleep to not look all tired and ragged, which was for the best, since he was eating breakfast with the Queen... He definitely didn't want to appear all scraggly at the table. After quickly smoothing out his ruffled hair a little, something that occasionally happened when he slept, Leuan opened the door to his room to greet the maid. Looks like he was ready to go, and, even looked a little fresher than the day before.
A good nights sleep, and a hasty attempt to smoothen out his hair seemed to have done him alot more good than he might have given it credit for.

When Leuan would open the door the maid would greet him before gesturing for him to follow her out of the room. She walked him to the dinning hall, leaving him to meet with Elsa alone. The queen stood up when he entered, swallowing nervously. "Feel free to have a seat," she offered, gesturing to a spot across the table from her. While she waited for him to approach, the women mentally calculated what she might say to him. Her conversation skills weren't the best, especially when it came to speaking with men, so she could already feel anxiety clawing at her chest.

"Breakfast will be brought out in a moment. Until then, feel free to make yourself comfortable Sir Leuan," Elsa said before sitting back down. After that, she wasn't sure what to say and even froze up for a moment. The awkward silence only made her more uncomfortable, however, so she pushed herself to try and come up with something more to say. "So, um, perhaps you could tell me a bit about yourself? We've spoken several times but I feel I can't recall where you come from or what you do for a living," she said, hoping her question would keep him talking for a moment.

Leuan took a deep breath before he entered the dining hall... He had to keep his composure if he were to leave a good impression here, but, it was the least of his concerns. His mind kept on drifting off to what he might be asked, and moreso on how he might end up slipping up with his answers. However, despite his worries, he tried to look as formal as possible as he finally stepped into the dining hall, bowing politely towards the Queen before he sat down.
"Thank you for having me... Queen Elsa." He said, as smoothly as he could.
Huh, strangely enough, he wasn't at as much of a loss of words as he thought; things just sort of... Came to him as they went. He nodded briefly when she mentioned that food was coming shortly, he could wait. On the other hand, he was getting a little fidgety, occasionally running his fingers through his hair to fix it, or adjusting his position in his chair a little. Though, he realized the silence would have to be broken somehow, and... Was almost prepared to open his mouth and say something.
Fortunately, Elsa seemed one step ahead and did the job for him, but well... Her particular question, innocent as it was, would be quite difficult to be completely truthfull about, so... For now, Leuan decided to be a little less specific, for both of their sakes.
"I'm a... Ranger, from the South." He said, trying to smile a little.
Well, it was partially true; Weselton was to the South of Arendelle, but... He couldn't exactly just straight up say he was a Royal Assassin, so... Naturally he had to find some other way to explain his... Skills, really.
With any luck, this was enough to keep the conversation going, but he had a feeling he might have to specify about the whereabouts of his home sooner or later, but... They'd cross that bridge when they came to it. Oddly enough though, while he usually had no trouble lying to someone, lying to Elsa just felt... Wrong, somehow.
This really was an... Odd couple of days for Leuan, to say the least.

The blonde fidgeted in her seat, somewhat uncomfortable with Leuan's short responses. She had hoped the topic presented to him would keep him talking for a while, but apparently not. She swallowed a lump that had formed in her throat, feeling the ugly demon of social anxiety rearing its ugly head in her heart. Hoping she would not embarrass herself by having a panic attack, Elsa took a deep breath in and out before trying to figure out what she would say to him next.
As a queen, she wanted to seem strong and approachable, unlike how she felt inside. Elsa much rather would've stood up and walked away from the breakfast with him, locking herself in her room where she was much more comfortable. She didn't like dealing with people one little bit, but deep down knew that this was good for her. She needed all the practice she could get with people, especially when it came to males. At some point, Arendelle would want to have a king...
"When we're alone, you may call me just Elsa if you wish," the queen began, addressing what he had called her. "I'm more familiar with you than I am the other suiters, so I honestly don't mind one bit. So long as the others don't find out I've given you any special permission. After all, I wouldn't want them to think they've lost their chances just yet." Elsa knew the day would come when she would have to choose one, and she honestly dreaded it. She knew it would anger some people, and she didn't like it when others looked at her with anger in their eyes.
"A-Anyhow, where do you come from in the south?" Elsa began, hoping to further extend their conversation with this question. "Forgive me for asking about you, but I would much rather speak about you. As a queen, I'm certain you--and the entire kingdom--knows more about me than I know about you or anyone else for that matter."

Oops, maybe he was a little too... Sparse with details in that response, as evidenced by the few moments of awkward silence that followed. Leuan knew he had to do something to break the tension, and for some reason he felt like throwing a snowball or something might help, where on earth did that train of thought come from? Even if Elsa did have ice powers and wasn't bothered by the cold, he doubted pelting her with a snowball here would help, at all... Besides, he wasn't like her; he couldn't exactly just summon one out of thin air, even if he wanted to... Right?
At any rate, that was the least of his concerns, he had to break the ice somehow, er, more figuratively than literally, and at this point... While he did not really seem to completely register this, it had little to do with carrying out his mission, more to do with... ... What, exactly? It was a bit hard to explain, let alone understand on Leuan's end, but he felt like he owed it to Elsa to... At least be good company right now.
Fortunately, he didn't have to worry too much about an opening line or something, as Elsa seemed to have picked up his slack, much to his relief.
"I'd be humbled to... Elsa." He said, smiling warmly.
Huh, he didn't even need to pretend with that one; it did somehow feel... Better to call her by her true name. This alone seemed to be enough to quell the subtle fidgeting he had been trying to cover up mere moments ago... Despite this being a whole new experience to him, somehow, he was... Calmer, allowing him to be a bit more receptive this time when Elsa inquired more about where he came from in the South.
This time, he decided to be more truthfull than before, and, seized the opportunity to hopefully diffuse any remaining awkwardness in the air. Unlike most of his previous actions, what he did next wasn't completely thought out, just... Something that, sort of happened. Carefully folding his napkin so it looked roughly like a moustache, and somehow balanced it across his upper lip.
"It's... Weselton!" He said, putting on his best impression of the Duke.
Unfortunately, and, probably to an unintentionally comedic effect, the napkin fell off his face as he spoke, causing him to fumble around with it a little in an effort to catch it before it hit the table. It was then that he realized his little mistake; he had been... A bit too truthfull, but now that the cat was out of the bag, he figured he'd have to... Improvise
"I... Know things are... Dicey with the Duke." He murmured, arefully putting down the now wrinkled up napkin in his hand.
"But since I live near the northern border... I, don't have to deal with him, much." He said smiling as he shook his head a little.
Well, while he was lying about the Ranger thing, bigtime, he did have a house near Weselton's northern border... While he worked for the Duke, he wasn't so fond of hanging around him when that wasn't required. Hmm, then something occurred to him; while he couldn't exactly blurt out that he was an undercover assassin or anything, he certainly didn't see a problem with talking about a particular... Encounter he had with that Duke.
"I mean... The only time I've seen him in person was when he asked about a giant snowball that soared into a neighboring Kingdom." He added, chuckling a little.
Once he got going, Leuan was actually quite... Talkative, as he realized keeping his sentences brief weren't going to cut it. However, while he had expected to be trying to wrack his brain for something to talk about, it seems that he was, actually getting the hang of this pretty quickly, at the expense of the Duke, hopefully he wouldn't catch wind of this particular conversation...

Elsa wasn't sure what difference had been made, but she could sense that Leuan had become more relaxed all of a sudden. It was a huge relief to the queen, who hadn't quite shaken away the nerves herself, that her company appeared a bit more content. She managed to cease her fidgeting, even letting out a laugh when the young man made an impression of the Duke and fumbled with his napkin. She was almost surprised! With how nervous he seemed before, who knew he could be so funny?
tumblr_inline_nlc0f8Zln91qkdr2y.png

"Ah yes," Elsa said, straightening herself up when he would mention her kingdom's relations with Weselton. "We've actually cut our ties with them entirely. We no longer trade or do business with them, and for good reason. I don't mean to insult your homeland, but its leaders haven't exactly treated my family with very much respect," she said, glancing down at the table for a moment.
"Truthfully it surprises me that someone from Weselton would be interested in coming here at all. However, I don't mind. I don't judge you based on the action of your leaders. After all, you seem to be nothing like them."
Leuan had seemed to be nothing but helpful, in fact, and quite nice. Regardless, Elsa couldn't help but feel a bit uncomfortable knowing he was from Weselton. While it could've been worse (he could've been from the Southern Isles) the queen couldn't help but wonder if he shared any of his leader's opinions at all. Surely they didn't speak highly of her there. Or, then again, maybe he had other motives...
"I hope you don't see this as a rude question, but does your reason behind trying to court me have anything to do with repairing relations with Arendelle and Weselton?" After asking her question, the queen almost regretted it. But she knew if she ignored it, the thought would only continue to nag at the back of her mind...
Before saying anything else, and almost at awkward timing, the maids came in to deliver breakfast for them. They laid out trays before the two, consisting of fresh fruit juice, milk, various fruit slices, breakfast sandwiches, oatmeal, yogurt, and various other items. It was quite the impressive spread. "Ah, well, the food is here. Feel free to make yourself a plate," she told him.

Oh dear, Leuan had really dug himself into a bit of a hole this time, but... He was still able to salvage this, at the expense of the Duke, and er... Possibly himself if the wrong person happened to hear him, though at this point, he figured it was that or botch this whole dinner.
"Ah! Well... You see, I was never a big... Admirer of my homeland." He explained.
To be fair, he wasn't really lying either; he really wasn't too fond of Weselton, from its flakey Duke to its shady business partners... But well, desperate times called for desperate measures, didn't they? It wasn't like he was happy working the job that he was, but rather, he, like many others were... Roped into it.
"I mean, have you seen the Duke dance? They say the local women wear steel toed boots as a safety measure!" He added... Aaand whoops, he was getting carried away.
Clearing his throat a little, he tried focus his attention back on the conversation at hand, and more importantly... Elsa's question. He nodded a little to acknowledge that food had arrived, but, he didn't seem to touch it yet, more preoccupied with answering the question for the moment.
"... Now, to answer your question. I'm not here for anything like that..." He said trailing off a little, for some reason he actually felt a bit hesitant about saying what he was about to say. Partly because there was indeed some truth to it.
"You see... I wanted a little time away from home, you know? A little breath of fresh air, a break froom the norm..." Well, even if he was sent here on a mission, this was, secretly, part of the reason he had agreed on it. One could only take the Duke's shennanigans for so long.
"And more importantly... I... I wanted a chance to... Meet the famous Ice Queen... Elsa..." He admitted, seeming to mumble that last part a little.
Granted he skewed the details a little, he did always wonder what Elsa would be like... Having heard so many things about her, granted they weren't always good, well, fortunately there were some in Weselton who were willing to tell the full story of that whole ice powers thing rather than leave out some very important details. Perhaps he hadn't just come just because he was oblidged to, but... Well, he doubted he'd ever admit that out loud, especially since he risked blowing the whole operation, even if it did feel progressively less appealing him to... Carry out the whole thing, to the end that is.

Elsa listened to her breakfast guest, unsure whether or not he was trying to talk down the Duke on purpose just because he knew those in Arendelle weren't exactly fond of. Whatever the case, however, the queen couldn't help but giggle at his words. She could indeed picture woman wearing steel-toed boots to protect themselves when dancing with him. Those poor ladies...
tumblr_inline_nlbx62Ei301qkdr2y.png

"Ah, yes, he actually danced with my sister at my coronation. It was quite a sight to see, especially knowing he was wearing heels. I know he's a short man, but still it's odd seeing someone like him wear shoes such as those."
Next, Leuan actually began to answer her question. Elsa nodded, actually understanding him a bit. "If anyone understands wanting to leave home, it's most certainly me," she admitted, privately recalling the time she had run away from home when the others discovered her ice powers. It was stifling to stay at home sometimes, especially when feeling like she didn't fit in. Thankfully, she felt better about herself these days.
After Leuan's next comment, Elsa shrugged in disbelief. "I wonder if I'm really all that famous. Infamous seems to be a more fitting term to describe me," she told him, reaching down to gently run one of her fingers on the edge of the table. "Many people still fear my powers, or only find me interesting due to my status as a wealthy, unmarried queen."
The queen paused, deciding to make herself a plate of a few breakfast items she could eat. She usually ate light in the mornings, so she didn't grab a lot, but enough to satisfy herself with. "Sometimes, I feel I may be so infamous that one of these suitors might be an assassin intending to take my life. Silly, right?" she said, smiling sheepishly.

@Klutzy Ninja Kitty
Leuan smirked a little when he heard that the Duke had actually danced with Elsa's sister at the coronation... So the rumors were true! Obviously the Duke himself was as secretive as he could be about that sort of thing, as it was, as those who have dared to say it; "an exquisite disaster".
Though hearing the Queen's words... He couldn't help but remember the awfull stories the Duke had tried to spread about Elsa during that time her ice powers had run wild. About how the Queen of Arendelle had gone mad... And made an icy fortress for herself, a monster that sought to destroy all, but... It didn't take a genius to see through it.
While many still feared Elsa's powers, many more were willing to accept Elsa as the Queen of Arendelle again, after she had gained control of her powers. However... Because of the Duke's foolish actions, trade from Arendelle was completely cut off for Weselton, and as a result, the place slowly began to fall into disarray, and the Duke chose to force most of his very own citizens to live in poverty, just so he could continue to live the posh life he so desired.
High paying jobs were in high demand these days in Weselton... But they were never "clean" ones; after all, the reason that the jobs still paid well, despite the Duke's high taxes, was because they would, in their own way... Ensure that the Duke would get a constant flow of cash, whether it be through shady practices, or through more... Malicious means.
There were many things he had done in the past that he had come to regret... But, he had become so numb to them... Until now. Now, of all times, he felt a desperate need to somehow break free of the chains that bound him to Weselton's higher ups, and at long last... Be free to make his own choices.
Unlike Elsa, Leuan seemed to have taken a somewhat sizeable portion for breakfast, as unfortunately... As much money as one may have from their higher paying jobs, Weselton was having a bit of a food crisis too, one that was rarely helped by the Duke's voracious appetite.
Looking up from his meal though, as he continued to listen to Elsa, rather intently... He finally spoke up, trying his best not to waver at the mention of one of the suitor's being an Assassin, intending to take her life. Letting out a small laugh in an effort to relieve some of the tension he felt on the inside, as he was on the very brink of blowing his cover, he tried to improvise.
"Haha... Yeah... Besides... I'm sure even an Assassin would be hard pressed to kill someone as pleasant as you~..." He sad, smiling a little.
Well, it was supposed to be a joke... And a compliment, but he really hoped he hadn't just come off as cheesy in the process... But regardless, he did very well believe this to be true... While he knew he would have to face the consequences of failing to complete his task, the temptation only seem to grow to just ditch his mission all together... And spend the time he had left with Elsa, here in Arendelle, where he was, for the most part... Free from the Duke's wretched grasp.

Ignorant to any internal discomfort Leuan may have been experiencing, Elsa glanced down at her plate and began to eat her food, her mannerisms very polite and sophisticated. She then dabbed her lips with a napkin and glanced back up at the male just in time to hear what he had to say in reply to her assassin comment. "Oh, you'd be surprised," she told him, shrugging her shoulders slightly. "A lot of people from the Southern Isles and Weselton aren't really all that fond of me. I'm sure you're aware of that since you're actually from Weselton yourself."
tumblr_inline_nlbwblGJY31qkdr2y.png

The queen paused to smile. "I can tell you're trying to be polite though. Thank you." Returning her attention to her food, Elsa would eat until her plate was empty. It didn't take her very long considering how little she had on it. After she had finished, the queen placed her napkin in her lap and glanced back at her company. She was in no rush for him to finish his meal. In fact, the longer he took the more time Elsa would have to prepare herself for what she wanted to ask him next.
Although she wasn't the most comfortable person when it came to spending time around males, Elsa knew she would be required to spend more time with her suitors today. Out of any of the men in her castle at the moment, she just so happened to be most comfortable with Leuan due to the fact they had several encounters already. If she was going to be forced into spending time with men, she was already more content with the idea with spending time with Leuan.
After thinking over her plans, Elsa slowly began to lead into the subject, deciding to see what Leuan planned to do with his day. "So, what are you doing today?" she questioned, realizing she hadn't yet come up with an idea for what she would invite him to do. Well, he wasn't exactly from the area, so maybe he would be interested in going into town with her? It wasn't often Elsa went into town herself, so she figured the experience would be enjoyable enough so long as she wasn't bothered too much by any civilians from town.

Leuan seemed to have resumed eating himself, though he listened to Elsa, seeming a bit thoughtfull as he ate... Recalling the amount of animosity some seemed to display towards her and her Kingdom. While the Duke was the most prominent figure that had something against Arandelle, and by extension, Elsa, it did not mean there weren't others... Even if he found it a bit hard to understand why.
Though she had lost control of her powers a while back, it didn't seem like she intended to hurt anyone; a bad misunderstanding, followed by another, and another... That lead to the entire land being shrouded in a rather thick layer of snow, a cold, cruel winter that only lifted after things were finally resolved. However, it was definitely possible that some did not understand Elsa's side of things, perhaps having developed a less than savory opinion of her from what they had heard, and experienced, of her powers.
Yet, even with that in mind, he still couldn't even muster up the tiniest bit of contempt or anything for her, especially having spent a day or two with her by now. While if his superiors questioned him about it, he'd say it was part of the act, that was far from the truth. It truly did feel pleasant to be around Elsa, even knowing all that he knew... Her presense was a gentle one, warm in a sense, despite the nature of her powers, one that he couldn't help but enjoy.
When Elsa asked if he was free today, not long after he had polished off his meal, minding his table manners and all... He looked up, smiling a little, trying to maintain a sense of confidence despite what he was about to admit.
"Oh... I had no plans in particular..." He said, with a somewhat sheepish laugh, rubbing the back of his neck.
That much was true, though he had hoped to spend more time with Elsa in some way, he just wasn't entirely sure where to start... But, perhaps she had something in mind?
Otherwise it would seem odd for her to pop a question like that...

After scoping out Leuan's plans for the day, Elsa couldn't help but feel a little smile tug at her lips. The queen quickly held up a napkin in front of her lips, however, trying to hide any such look from her guest. She didn't want him to know it, but the blonde was actually a bit excited to invite him to go into town with her. This surprised her too. As far as she could recall, this was the first time she had actually been excited to spend time with a man. She could only hope the part where she actually invited him to go into town with her would turn out well.
Here goes nothing.
"I see," Elsa began, placing her napkin back in her lap. She smoothed it out before folding her hands together and setting them down on it. "If that truly is the case, would you be interested in accompanying me into town? You're new here, so perhaps you'd be interested in seeing what Arendelle is like outside of the castle? B-But if it's not something you'd be interested in, I understand. We could do something else."
Although she had tried her best, Elsa still felt as if she had fumbled with her words somewhat. This would take some getting used too. But what if he said no? The queen was sure she would die of embarrassment if such a thing were to happen! Then again, Leuan didn't seem to be the type who would turn her down. Waiting anxiously, she twiddled her thumbs to see what he would say next.

Leuan blinked a little, trying his best to hide the surprise he himself felt, as Elsa's request seemed to align with what he had in mind... Even if he hadn't spoken it out loud... How... Peculiar, but, not unpleasant at all actually; maybe they had some sort of connection or something? Which, oddly seemed to make him feel a little fuzzy inside thinking about it really.
It took him a couple of moments to realize that in his sudden flurry of thoughts, he had almost forgotten to respond, and so... He did, trying not to let himself get too carried away with his feelings and all, in an effort to maintain his composure.
"Why... Of course I would, my liege..." He said, squaring up his shoulders, and puffing out his chest, in a mostly joking fashion.
Though while he sort of, improvised in an effort not to come off sounding too excited or something, trying to joke around a little, it seemed that he was indeed serious about his answer itself. On the other hand, it did strike him a little weird that he, a high class assassin would improvise and come up with something like this, but, then again... This might be the first time, on the job in fact, that he had gotten room to... Be himself a little, and, as much as he may try and deny it, perhaps being with Elsa had a little part to play in all of this too...

It was the moment of truth. The queen could feel her palms starting to sweat, something they scarcely did often. This was proof of just how nervous she was. Even when it came to other men she never became sweaty; she was an ice queen, after all, and heating up wasn't something that usually happened. In all honesty, it was embarrassing, but she really couldn't help herself.
Clearing her throat Elsa would reply, "Very well then." She tried to seem less flustered than she actually was, not wanting to make her guest think she couldn't handle herself as his escort. It wasn't as if she knew a lot about Arendelle, but that didn't mean she couldn't do her absolute best to show him around. She was rather intelligent, after all.
"In an hour from now, let us meet at the castle gates. From there, I'd be more than happy to accompany you into town. That should be more than enough time for us to ready ourselves, yes?" she questioned before casually moving to take another bite of her food. At this point, she was nearly finished with her breakfast and glad her guest seemed to have enjoyed himself.

While Elsa had given it her all to disguise her apparent nervousness, and had Leuan not been in his profession for as long as he was... He likely wouldn't have noticed at all, but... Knowing that it wasn't just him feeling a little antsy about the whole ordeal, he was able to find the strength to push past it, and flash Elsa a reassuring smile after they settled on going to town.
As much as he felt nervous himself though, his smile was as genuine as it could get. After all, it wouldn't be long before he would be living a dream, in a way. No matter what happened after, he wouldn't miss his chance to finally experience what it's like in Arendelle, especially if he had Elsa's company...
He nodded in response to her proposition, taking a brief look out the window to locate where they were before he spoke.
"Agreed..." He said, trailing off a little as he seemed to be contemplating something.
Before he spoke anymore though, he polished off his plate with a little more vigour than before, as he had never had food this good, or in this large of a quantity before... And he could only restrain himself so much. Additionally, it would appear that he was a bit distracted by his thoughts to keep himself under control, at least at the moment.
Ultimately, when he finished, he did seem to register what he was doing, but tried to play it off, carefully wiping his mouth with that napkin he had folded from before... Even taking the time to stack together the few dishes he had, in an effort to appear more civlized than he actually was, under normal circumstances that is.
Eventually, he decided to break the silence, speaking again after he more or less made up his mind, deciding to act on his thoughts from earlier.
"... Would you... Like me to escort you to your room?" He asked extending a hand, with another, more confident looking smile.
While he knew, almost for certain that the maid wouldn't try anything again, he felt an almost pressing need to do so... Perhaps out of courtesy, or a general concern for her well being, given that Elsa probably made a few more enemies all around, other than just throughout Weselton...

After a moment or two of waiting for Leuan to reply, Elsa managed to finish eating her breakfast. She dabbed her napkin against her mouth once before neatly folding and placing it on the table in front of her. Afterwards, she rose to her feet--just in time to hear Leuan offer to escort her back to her room. The queen contemplated his offer for a moment, brushing her hands down her locks of platinum blonde hair. "Oh, I-I should be fine to walk back myself, thank you," she said, politely bowing to him afterwards. "I'll meet you downstairs very soon. I thank you for joining me for breakfast." She smiled. "I hoped the foods were to your liking."
Although she didn't mind walking with him, the young woman wanted a bit more time to compose herself before she would yet again spend an extended amount of time with him. Goodness, this was getting to be a lot. She wasn't used to spending this much time with anyone, let alone a man who could possibly be one of her suitors.
The queen exited after speaking with Leuan, making her way back to her chambers. Once there, she bathed and prepared herself for the day, hesitating before getting dressed. She was most comfortable in her usual blue dress, but was once again tempted to cloth herself in a disguise. If she did, she would be less likely to draw attention to herself and be more able to focus on getting to know more about this man.
An hour after readying herself, she exited her chambers wearing a tan peasant's clothing, a brown cloak, and a brown wig. It wasn't her favorite of looks, nor was it comfortable, but she was more than used to dressing up in clothes she didn't exactly like. It would be better this way. With that thought in mind, she headed for the castle gates and stood there, waiting for Leuan to arrive.

Whoops... Perhaps he had been a bit too er... Forward to say the least; Leuan instantly regretted his rash decision to request this of her at all when she refused. Though, fortunately for the both of them, Elsa didn't seem too perturbed by the whole thing; she just looked a little flustered is all.
Smiling a little, he tried to play off his little moment of self doubt by flashing a casual thumbs up in reference to the food.
"The food was great!" He said, quite abruptly... Before he clasped his hands over his mouth.
Evidently he hadn't quite intended to add that much emphasis to his words, but eventually he uncovered his mouth, and tried again.
"I mean... Ah... Thank you... For inviting me..." He said, rubbing the back of his neck a little.
Giving her a little bow, he waited for her to leave first... Before he followed suit, trying to keep a bit of a low profile in the hallway.
It looks like he'd need to put on something less formal out in the public, blend in a bit more, lest he draw some unwanted attention. Thus, when he finally found his room, he headed to his closet, noticing that aside from his usual attire, that he had brought with him, there were a few new sets of clothes in there too.
Hmm... Well, he probably could do with looking a little less raggedy, even in his casual attire.
Mixing and matching a few sets of clothes, he ended up with a sort of... Robin Hood like outfit, which hadn't quite been his intention; he had instead wanted a more huntsman type look, but nonetheless, it worked, as the colors didn't stand out too much. Though instead of going with a green cowl, he went with a green, pointed hat that appeared to have been left by a previous occupant.
To try and sell his new look, Leuan even tried to have a more confident gait in his stride as he approached the castle gates, tipping his hat when he met up with Elsa... Bowing a little.
"Shall we go... M'lady?" He asked, in the most regal tone he could muster.
It was hard to tell if he was joking right away... At least until his expression began to falter a little, as the absurdity of what he was doing right now had sort of... Caught up to him.

Elsa waited for Leuan for what seemed like hours. She tapped a foot against the floor and chewed on her lower lip, attempting to curb her budding anxiety. Regardless, thoughts of negativity swirled her head and invaded her troubled mind. What if he didn't show up? What if he laughed at the way she was dressed in her disguise? What if he didn't like Arendelle outside of the castle after they visited it together? There were just so many possibilities that the queen wasn't sure what to expect.
Still, she needed to remind herself that she had a tendency to overthink things and imagine the worst of possibilities in all of the scenarios of her life. Life up until a certain point hadn't exactly been the most pleasant for the young woman, so it was easy for her to fall back into a continuous rut of expecting things to turn out bad. All of her negative assumptions, however, could easily be proven wrong. Leuan would show up. He showed interest in her before. He hadn't laughed at her the last time she had been disguised. And, lastly, the guy lived in Weselton of all places. It was highly doubtful he would be judgmental of Arendelle when he lived in such a place.
Due to calming herself down, the young woman finally shook away her troublesome thoughts by the time her company had arrived. She took a breath of relief and stepped toward him, giving the male a nod when he asked if they should leave. "Certainly, let's go," she replied, turning to the castle guards. She asked them to open the gates before heading out with Leuan. "So what would you like to see first? We have shops, a marketplace, the docks, and our clocktower. Admittedly, there isn't a lot in town, but it's a nice small town," she stated, glancing ahead as she walked.
