Dream as if you were dying.
Ryuna, Outskirts of Abaddon

The cool breeze that trailed over the fox’s white fur caused her to shiver slightly as she lept out of the shrubbery that surround the walls and ran up them to the top of the wall. Ages ago she had given up on using gates for her kind of travels. They never worked out well for her. At the top she shifted to her humanoid form so she could hide more easily among the shadows that lingered like drowsy sentinels. Her golden gaze stared out at the corrupt city below her. It rank of things she would rather not know of.

The feeling of something pulling at her very heart was all that lead her down the opposite wall face she had scaled. With grace and silence she danced across the rooftops towards that feeling that was getting stronger, “Why is my soul here in this place?” She questioned as she finally got so close she could feel her own powers growing stronger. By now the jewel that house her soul would be growing warmer and taking on a glow.

Kaleo - The Fringe
After Phobos took over his body, it almost felt like he was in a dream. Trapped in his own head like some kind of dark, grey room with no doors or windows. Phobos was there in the room, and occasionally he would toss a comment Kaleo's way, but Fear seemed distracted. The first time this happened, Kaleo simply thought he had blacked out and was dreaming, but this time he knew better. Phobos had trapped him in the same way he had kept Phobos in check all these years, though he wasn't sure how he had managed to get out again. Did Kaleo's resolve weaken during his fight with Hi'dric? No, that wasn't it, he was fairly sure. Then what? Kaleo paced his mental prison, trying to remember what had happened right before this, but it was all a blur. Like someone had shattered a mirror and asked him to put the pieces back together again to show the same picture it had an hour ago. But then Kaleo noticed something. He was alone.

He blinked. Phobos was gone? But then, why was he still trapped here? Kaleo looked around the room, suddenly feeling both frantic and hopeful at the same time. He turned around, and there it was. A window. Without even stopping to think, he smashed it.

Kaleo gasped as he was suddenly in control of his body again, though the instant he could see through his own eyes he felt all the pain come crashing down on him like a tsunami. His right hand and up his forearm had been dyed black, but he could see the blackness had already started to crawl up his arm in inky tendrils. Along with it came the pain; his arm was burning from the inside out. Kaleo cradled his arm close to him as he slowly lowered himself to the ground in a crouch. His thoughts had been scattered in a million different directions, and images were flickering into his view like ghostly illusions. Phobos' thoughts were coinciding with his own. Between the eye-watering pain and the strange mirages, Kaleo couldn't even figure out where he was right now. Couldn't tell if he was safe, couldn't tell if he was out in the open, couldn't think, couldn't think...

Kaleo closed his eyes tight and gritted his teeth until he felt they might break. Then he forced out one, clear thought: Allanah...

Celeste
The Fringe

Celeste was not at all surprised to see the boy in such a sorry state. Even from a distance, she could make out his expression, the look of the immense pain he must be enduring. That vampire who called himself Hi'dric must have made some damage to him. She wondered if the vampire was dead, it would be such a waste for such a good looking man.

What surprised her, however, was the thought she had heard just as she was about to approach him. Allanah's name... loud and clear. An amused, sly grin fell on her lips. Who would have thought? she mused. It seems the boy is as attached to her as she was to him. Perhaps it was the bond between the victims of fate that brought the two together. They had only known each other for such a short while as far as she was aware, but it was interesting to think of the small, thin thread of bond that connected them to each other.

The thought of severing it made her mouth water.

Her feet moved faster, not quite running, but skipping happily, eager to reach by his side. Once she did, she crouched down to his level, not even bothering to try and make her best impression of Allanah. What's the point? After all, if the boy is perceptive, he'll easily catch on: that she is not quite the person he is looking for. She tilted her head and gave him a smile. "You called?"

Kaleo - The Fringe
Kaleo didn't hear her come so much as suddenly felt a presence beside him; didn't hear the words, but knew someone was speaking. He drew his arm closer, but didn't open his eyes, unable to know whether what he was seeing was really there, or just what Phobos was seeing. For just a moment, it felt like someone had touched him, and he cracked his eyes open.

Hi'dric. Kaleo's eyes widened like a crazed, wounded animal. In an instant, his good hand grew long claws and slashed at the person before him. He moved back.

Celeste's eyes widened as she raised her arm to deflect his attack, his claws slashing deep into her skin, leaving ribbons of red like small rivers of blood. As she saw the look in his eyes she blinked blankly, the smile fading from her lips. "Ah." she suddenly murmured, all emotion of glee lost in her voice. "Are you... broken already?" she curiously asked as she stepped closer. As always, she had no qualms whatsoever to what happens to herself. This boy looks very dangerous at the moment, but whether or not he rips her body to shreds is none of her concern. After all, the idea of him eventually waking up to reason just to see his dear Allanah's body dead in his arms was a satisfying image in its own right.

She smiled. Solemnly. The kind of smile you'll see in the face of an angel. She reached up and touched his cheek gently. Softly. Like she imagined Allanah would. The blood from her arm dropped to the ground, the pain ringing on her senses, but she ignored it. Instead, she leaned even closer, staring into his eyes. "Ka-leo~" she muttered. "Calm down. Because... it's no fun playing with a broken toy." She ran a finger on his cheek and smiled. "Look, don't you recognize me?"

Kaleo - The Fringe
Kaleo suddenly felt like he'd been hit by a sledgehammer. Not because of anything the person before him had said, but because a familiar presence had suddenly arrived, and he wasn't happy.

What are you doing?! he snarled.

It wasn't a pleasant sound in the slightest, but it was like being doused in cold water. Kaleo felt like he could breathe again; he felt the pain in his arm begin to numb and his head cleared. For the first time since he'd blacked out after his fight with Hi'dric, he finally truly saw what was in front of him. And she was bleeding. Kaleo looked down at his bloodied hand in shock before looking at Allanah, his face horrified.

I saved us both and this is how you repay me? You don't even let me have one single moment of glory? You try to run off when I'm distracted? And how did that work out for you?

But even though he was screaming, Kaleo wasn't listening to Phobos right now. Allanah, why are you...? I- I hurt you.

Celeste blinked. Ah, it seemed the boy has regained senses now. The look in his eyes as he recognized her was satisfying, even more so as he realized the brunt of what he's done. Her arms looked terrible. In fact, it hurt a lot. His claws have gone through at least a half inch of skin and flesh, but all Celeste could say to that was: "Oh yeah. You did."

It was then that she smiled sweetly again, hyped now that she was back to his senses. Now that she thought about it, why did she want to talk to him again? Hm... oh yeah, it was because of that thing he did in the Residential District, wasn't it? That feeling of fear that sent shivers through her spine, despite not being in control of her body at the time... it was terrifying. She wanted more of that. Yes, she so wanted to get more of that.

"What happened to you?" she asked, tilting her head, smiling innocently. For now, she would like to satiate her curiosity.

Wroth
The fringe

It is a beautiful day outside. birds are singing. A few flowers that actually grow around this area are blooming. On days like this, people like him.

Should be burning in hell....

This was it. Where either the sins of the past would be put to rest, or where he and his family would meet their end. "Whelp," Looking back at the two sins Greed and his lover Byrnhild. "Guess this is the time to say...... Don't die. Follow that advice and you'll do fine." Saying that Wroth bent over, digging his fingers into the earth and with one almost casual tug. Pulled out a piece of the ground. The chunk was about as big as a piano yet he held it as if it were weightless. 'Let's see if this old fart still remembers some old tricks.' Using his fingernail he started to trace an archaic symbol on the bottom of the earth, resembling a tornado with the sun shining at the top. He then placed it back on the spot it originally was, he then made his way to another piece of land and did the same, the only difference was the symbols. "Hey Brynhild." He called over to her in the middle of his work. "Ya have a minute?" Brynhild approached the sin of Gluttony, Wroth having the most melancholy smile on his face.... Yet there also seemed to be hope in his eyes. "I know we all have just met a few days ago but I feel the need to tell you.... That even though we might not know what comes next, even though we might not all see the light of day. Our spirits will live on in ways we couldn't even imagine." A small scoffing laugh left his lips. "Corny I know. But hey, I'm out of practice with one-liner."
