Jinvahn General Info ~ Lots of topics covered in a relatively compact matter
The Jinvahn are a large amorphous amoeba like species that believe in harmony, commonality, and peace. Though they present a very shiny exterior, the interior workings of the government are heavily controlled, keeping a select few elite pushing Jinvahn agendas, while the rest of the populace is kept happy under a single unifying religion.

The Jinvahn culture emphasises harmony with nature, and teachings such as Karma. Outside of the elite, money does not exist for the common populace, and the elite only use currency when dealing with outside nations. Everything belongs to everyone, which means everything also owned by the government. The Jinvahn communicate with sound and touch, being unable to use any kind of vocal system on their own. Thus, their planet has no pronounceable name. However, a work-a-round has been devised. Translators, are used by the Jinvahn to communicate to other races, and has given their planet the name of Concordia, latin for harmony. The translator is flawed however, and Jinvahn end up speaking broken english and odd speech patterns.

Most people never actually see the true form of a Jinvahn, as anyone who interacts with them usually is greeted by one in an environmental suit. The suit is usually orbular and floats off the ground. After that, its appearance depends on its utility, although all suits are usually done with with the Jinvahn aesthetic, being that of gold colors and gilded designs, comprising of smooth curves ending with sharp angles. This pattern applies to almost all Jinvahn infrastructure, as they pride themselves on appearance, especially to outsiders.

Their harmony of nature makes it difficult to gain supplies rapidly, and so Jinvahn have turned to the Novo Crystal, an incredibly rare but incredibly powerful form of... material... crystal... element... thing... that forms when two Multiverses collide. It is very volatile, and hard to contain without accidentally ripping a tear and destroying everything around it, but it can be used to transmute materials. Along with that, the ambient energy from the crystals can also be turned into a material, albeit at an incredibly slow rate. Because of this, when it comes to spacecraft, Jinvahn fleets are relatively sparse, and don’t contain many ships, however because of the lack of resources, the Jinvahn have made sure that their craftsmanship is of the highest caliber, as each ship is optimised and refined to stand toe to toe with any fleet despite being outnumbered.

Perhaps the most impressive technology the Jinvahn posses is their ability to terraform entire planets over the course of a few years. This however is a major undertaking, and costs a large amount of resources, so much so that the Jinvahn often have to make agreements with other nations to supply part of the cost. There is no particular reason the Jinvahn terraform planets and moons, only that they see it as their sacred duty to be the caretakers of the galaxy. A terraforming fleet is usually dispatched to modify the atmosphere, while ground crew erect giant terraforming towers for the grunt work down below. The terraforming fleet is the most expensive and fiercely guarded fleet the Jinvahn has, and to destroy it would be considered an act of negative karma to an unimaginable level, so much so that the Jinvahn will feel that it is in their right to be the force that will “restore the karmic balance,” a la, declare war. This also applies to any race that destroys planets, or destroys Jinvahn mobile habitats or important embassies. Jinvahn will fight in a defensive war if anyone they’ve made a defensive pact with is attacked, although the Jinvahn will only defend and take back what was lost.

The Jinvahn are specialized in diplomatic affairs, having many connections with various minor factions around the galaxy. Diplomatic fleets are not an uncommon sight, often only comprising of a basic military escort and a diplomat ship. What is more impressive is their mobile habitats, giant mobile space stations housing many different sentient species, in an attempt to better unite the galaxy. These double as embassies as well.

TL;DR

Race:
Large Amoeba. Usually only seen in their orb-like environment suits.

Government: Collective. Money does not exist outside of the Elite. Religion is used to unify the populace. The Elite consists of general Government, Diplomats, Scientists, etc. The Elite, aside for Diplomats, do not necessarily follow the Jinvahn Collectivism, and are more independent compared to the rest of the population.

Culture: The Jinvahn practice Karma, Nature, and Harmony, along with a caste system. A citizens job is determined in what caste they were born in. If they lead a successful life, they are promised they will reincarnate into a better caste. They do not believe in violence, although are by no means defenseless. War can be declared for extreme cases such as planet destruction.

Terraforming: The Jinvahn posses the impressive technology of terraforming. They feel it is their duty to turn barren planets into lush paradises. Often the promise of terraforming of a moon is used as a bargaining chip in diplomatic affairs.

Diplomatic Immunity: The Jinvahn have deep diplomatic ties, and during times of duress, multiple species can be seen working in tandem to resolve the issue. Attacking a Jinvahn embassy usually means more than just angering the Jinvahn. Because of their harmonious nature, the Jinvahn try their best to always establish new diplomatic ties, and unite the Galaxy under a single banner.

Novo Crystals: Because of their lack of exploitation of nature, resources can be sparse. The Jinvahn have managed to master the use of the Novo Crystal. A dangerous but powerful crystal... element... thing... only formed when two Multiverses converge. They provide the means of power, and a slow rate, new material. While the lack of resources does mean it is harder to replace losses, the Jinvahn have made their limited resources count. Their craftsmanship is some of the best and efficient.

Military: Jinvahn military, due to the lack of surplus resources, is relatively sparse. However, what they lack in numbers they have in quality. Their fleets can still win encounters when outnumbered. Due to their aversion to violence, infantry weapons tend to be nonlethal. Brainwave guns, and knock-out gas are commonly utilized. Criminals are kicked out of Jinvahn borders. Terrorists or P.O.W.s are "re-educated."
