Here is a list of locations in The Last Bastion, as well as the general state of the world. This thread will be divided into three sections.
Bunker Chicago & Surrounding Areas
Bunker Chicago: A settlement a few miles south of the city ruins. At the centre of the colony is a military bunker, built into the ground, and surrounding it are layers of civilization, in this order: Core, Inner Ring, Outer Ring, and Beyond The Wall. The further toward the core you get, the more security forces one can find--though the overall level of scraping by remains the same.
Chicago City Ruins: The city ruins of Chicago. The city has been effectively abandoned for 160 years, and it shows with the significant overgrowth of plant life. Many of the less well made houses have collapsed, partially or totally, while most of the skyscrapers and apartment complex remain relatively intact--though fragile and in dire need of maintenance from engineers who will never come.

- Core: The Bunker itself, and everything immediately surrounding it. This is controlled by The Coalition, and services as the steadying point for the rest of the colony.
- Inner Ring: The inner ring is comprised primarily of housing--ramshackled apartment complexes where entire families live out of a single room to the best of their ability. The definition of luxury is owning an apartment room with two bedrooms with two bathrooms. The definition of poverty is living in an aluminum shack.
- Outer Ring: The outer ring. This is where the majority of businesses set up shop, and where the industry that makes Bunker Chicago unique thrives--like machine shops.
- Beyond The Wall: Surrounding Bunker Chicago is a protective wall, built after The Coalition arrived to keep raiders out. As a consequence, some who find themselves unable to afford to live within the colony, instead live just outside it--in small shack-based communities a few hundred a piece in size.

- The Orange Fog: A mysterious orange fog where no organic life exists within it. Poisonous if inhaled without a gas mask to filter outside elements. It has expanded from the center of the city outward--having obscured most of the skyline entirely, and leaving only certain commercial and residential districts untouched.
