Sun peeped through the holes in the curtain attacking Olivia’s eyes. She let out a soft groan and rolled onto her side in bed, facing away from the bright light. It was too early for her to get up. Sure she had chargo to bring out of her village, Peseo, (Others can attend this transporting mission?) but she was way too tired. Light suddenly filled the room when her best friend Reece tore back the curtain.

“Wakey, wakey!” He called out and Olivia groaned throwing a pillow at him. He didn’t bother trying it knowing he had no chance at dodging it, he wasn’t coordinated at all. “Oh come one, we have a mission today Olive, an adventure! And we both know how much you like adventures.” He fixed his goggles and saw that she wasn’t getting up. “Alright, you left me no choice.” He muttered then went into the kitchen grabbing a pot of water then came back into her bedroom and poured the water over her.

“What the hell Reece!” She hissed and sat up quickly wiping the water off her eyes. “That was perfectly good water that we could have used.”

“Oh hush, we can always get more water.”

“What happens if acid rain season comes too early? Hmm? What then, water prices will skyrocket.” She argued then grabbed the flimsy mattress and dragged it out of the room and out onto the porch setting it in the sun to dry. As she did that Reece put together the breakfast made up of green eggs and bright blue fruit.
After breakfast they headed out walking down the large dirt street filled with people trying to sell things and people buying things. They were heading towards the front of the village to aboard a boat and cross the lake and start their travel by foot to the next village.

---

Caution ate silently in a tree, watching the monkeys play on the branch beside him. He held out a piece a fruit and clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth calling the monkeys to eat and they came right away letting out soft chirps. The bigger monkey grabbed his piece first then the smaller one. The two monkeys were brother and sister and Caution too felt like a sibling to them. Right away the boy, Bean, ate his piece right away then watched as his sister, Cookie, worked on eating hers slowly. The bigger monkey eyed the piece of fruit then grabbed at it running off, climbing onto another branch. Cookie screeched at him and followed after him but he was too quick and tricky. Caution watched letting out small low laughter, but enough was enough. He hissed loudly and bared his large fangs making both of the monkeys stop and look at him. Caution then snapped his fingers together and glared at Bean. He did the walk of shame as he made his way over to the monkey boy and handed back the piece of fruit. Caution flashed his fangs once again as a warning sign for him not to do it again. He then handed the fruit back to Cookie and she continued eating it.

Ian - The Jungle Near Onac
Ian breathed the fresh, crisp morning air deeply. He loved mornings. It was when everything was so fresh, awake, and alive. It was the time of day that he felt the most invigorated, and today was no exception. He strode quickly through the woods; his hands stuffed in his pockets, whistling the refrain of some old, forgotten sea shanty. He would have been singing it, but he couldn't remember the words. The newly risen sun had filtered it's way through the damp forest canopy; filling the forest with green and yellow light. A soft breeze pushed it's way through the trees and across Ian's face. He stopped whistling and smiled at its cool touch. It smelled of damp wood and moss.

Ian had never been to Onac before. He had never been anywhere outside of Peseo before. Every sight and sound was new to him and he was loving every bit of it. He had heard about Onac from various travelers passing through the Peseo. The idea of a village in a tree was intriguing to him. He had also heard other stories about the jungle surrounding the village; of the monsters that lurked there; monsters such as the three-headed snake. He patted his two daggers, Annabeth and Susan. He hoped to meet this snake. It had been ages since his girls had gotten any playtime.

Alexis finished up her breakfast and fed her pet snake Apep. She had woken up earlier than usual because of the mission that she was carrying out for her village. She was going to transport the two majors trades of her village, fabric and minerals. Her father would usually do this but he had fallen sick. Since her mother was merely a housewife and her brother had more important things to do apparently. So her father had picked her to temporarily take his place. Alexis grabbed Apep from his tank and placed him on her shoulders. She chuckled when he hissed in annoyance and curled his body around her neck. After making sure that she had all her weapons Alexis walked out of her house.

The goods that she was to transport was loaded into a carriage that was pulled by two shadow bears. In order to get where she was going she would have to weave her way through the jungle swiftly. She had been on the ground a number of times and her father had taught her the path until it was engraved into her memory. But now that she was hauling a load it would be a little more difficult. The many monsters that called the forest home would most likely attempt to claim her life on her journey. Alexis was prepared though, her trusted short sword was strapped to her hip and her spear was strapped to her back. Alex weaved her way through the forest plants, using the darkness to hide herself.

Lily - Peseo

Lily had already been up for an hour or so reading about propulsion systems when the sun came up and told her to get moving. Placing the large book in her bag Lily grabbed her gear and headed for the kitchen. Lily didn't have her own home in the city, since she spent most of her time out in the wild exploring, so when she did come back home she just stayed with her parents. "Good morning sunshine," Lily's Mother said with a smile as Lily entered the kitchen, "The usual?" Lily's mother asked taking two eggs out of the pantry.

"Yes please," Lily replied sitting at the table across from her father, who was reading a book Lily had brought back for him.

Setting the book down Lily's father smiled at his daughter, "so where are you off to this time?"

"I volunteered to help escort some cargo. It should get me out of the city and relatively close to an old town I want to check out," Lily replied pouring herself a glass of water.

"What do you hope to find this time?" Lily's father asked.

"Well, I am hoping to find some old automobile parts, but anything will do," Lily explained as her mother brought her a plate with two eggs and a muffin.

After finishing breakfast Lily tossed her backpack over her shoulder and hugged her parents goodbye. Stepping out into the street Lily headed for the meeting spot, ready to start her next adventure.

Peseo, Olivia & Reece

The chains on Olivias heavy leg armour clinked and clunked as she headed over to the next crate, she readied herself before grabbing onto the sides of he heavy crate. She lifted it with a soft grunt and loaded it into the large boat.

"Whoa there, you don't have to show off and do it yourself y'know, we can help with those heavy cargo." Said one of the men helping with escort. Olivia stood up fully after setting the wooden box down and did a quick stretch, her arms over her head.

"It's more than alright, I trust myself more to get the job done than relying on someone else." She spoke out , her olive green eyes looking out over the water. "Ain't that right Reece?" She said turning her head to see Reece sitting on one of the crates, cleaning his fancy bow. His eyes shot up with a cheesy grin,

"Oh come on Ollie, y'know I can't lift crates, I'd just be gettin' in y'way." Reece worked on explaining his absence.

Olivia chuckled then went back to work loading the boat.

The jungle near Onac, Caution

A breeze hit and the monkey boy picked up a scent. His head tilted up, his nose lifted to the air, sniffing it. It smelt. .. like one of those .. humans... it didn't smell earthy like an animal and it didn't smell bitter like a monster. He raised himself on the branch and began to look around. He was close.. really close.. a soft whistle made Cautions ears twitch.

What on earth was that sound? He never heard anthing like it before, so rhythmatic, so beautiful, so different. A spark of curiosity lit in Cautions chest. Before he knew it he was following that sweet and soft sound. His climbing in sync with the beat. Then he spotted him, the human. Cautions face lit up and he wrapped his white monkey tail along the branch he stood on and swung himself so he hung there, upside-down. His long shaggy blonde hair blew in the wind and his pale face tinted with red from all the blood rushing to his head.

He clapped his hands together happily and let out soft chirps of joy. His monkey friend had followed along, doing what he did, hanging upside-down and chirping. Oh what fun!

Ian - The Jungle Near Onac
Ian was growing bored. It was the same path and the same trees and the same surroundings over and over again for the past couple of hours. The tune he was whistling was getting old.

He was going to change tunes when suddenly he heard clapping. He paused in his tracks; his hands drifting down to his dagger sheaths. He looked around; he didn't see anything. It was just trees and vines all around him. Then he looked up, and jumped back in surprise. A monkey! Then he looked closer. No, it wasn't monkey it was a man who looked like a monkey. He hung there upside down clapping gleefully. An actual monkey was next to him clapping along as well. Ian grinned broadly and made a dramatic bow.

"Thank you, thank you very much!" He bowed a couple of more times, then continued on his way. He'd stay and talk, but if there were people around then that meant that Onac was close by. He looked up at the trees. The branches grew in such a way that they were all interwined together. They twisted and spiraled from tree to tree. They looked big enough to walk on. Ian crouched, then sprung; his powerful legs launching his small body up onto the nearest branch. He wobbled a bit, but managed to keep his balance. He looked around him. He was so high up; luckily he wasn't afraid of heights. He crawled nimbly across the branches; leaping from time to time to a new branch, his powerful strength catipulting him through large spaces.

He had just landed on another branch when a flicker of movement down below caught his eye. It was a carriage drawn by... Bears? That was a new one. He crouched down on the branch.

"Heloooooo down there!" He called, "how far is it to Onac?"

Lily - Peseo

Loading the cargo onto the boat was almost enough work for Lily to reconsider joining this mission, but she knew that in the long run this would save her a lot of walking. As Lily wint back and forth loading the cargo she took some time to examine the others that would be accompanying the cargo. Lily was especially interested in one of the other females, she seemed to be able to lift the cargo with easy, while Lily and the others had to struggle with the weight. She must have mutated muscles, Lily thought to herself, what ever her mutation it must be tied to her skin color. The olive green town is really pretty. Lily was so caught up in her thoughts she almost bumped into the girl as she climbed onto the boat with another crate, "sorry," Lily exclaimed moving quickly to give way. Pay attention! Lily thought to herself as she wint for another crate.

Alexis was passing along rather easily. She plan of doing this swiftly was working so far. Occasionally she would look around the forest to see if anything was watching them. This time instead of some hideous creature her gaze landed upon a human hanging from a branch. Alexis then realized it was two. She slowed down the carriage. Upon closer inspection the other person that she was wasn't human at all in fact. They had monkey like features, how odd. Alexis eyed the two cautiously. They had no cargo so they weren't traders. She contemplated not telling him a thing but them though against it.

Her village could handle itself after all. "Only a few miles from her stranger. "I am sorry but I must be off." Alexis nodded her head to him before she was gone. She didn't have time to stop and talk. Now when she was surrounded by the forest and all it's deadly presented lurking about. She knew that resting for too long could end in her death.

Chojin- Totuko

Chojin woke up on the sunny day as he jump from his bed and walk over to his bathroom "why today" he told himself as he got dress. Chojin quickly walk out side and jump down to the dock of his house "ill be out for alittle while" he called back to him parents and began to walk to the store. "Hey Dan" he called out to a older man who came from behind the conder and ran over to Chojin and gave him a hug "how are you doing old friend" Dan ask while still hugging Chojin "im good" Chojin reply before hugging Dan back. Chojin then let go and pick up a box "thats the package right" Chojin ask while he pick the box up "yep and can you take it to Peseo" Dan ask while pulling out a pair of keys "sure" Chojin reply while grabing the keys and walk out of the store and to a garage

Ian - The Jungle Near Onac
"Thanks!" He called, She's in a rush. He shrugged to himself and continued on, leaping from branch to branch. It felt good to do something other than walking. He had just made it to an higher branch, when suddenly a sharp pain seized his chest. He gasped slightly and leaned against the tree. His heart was acting up again. It always did this when he was active for too long. It was the most aggravating thing ever. He sighed in frustration and and sat down. He would have to rest for a bit. He let his head fall back against the tree's trunk and gazed up at the canopy above him. The mid-morning sun was filtering its way through the leaves casting a greenish yellow light through out the entire jungle. He smiled and stroked his wispy goatee. Just a few miles more.

Chojin open the garage door and found a motorcycle "nice" he thought to himself as he place he box inside the motocycle glove compartment and place the key into the ignition. "And awwaayy we go" he called out and drove through the doorway and out of town "wow this is going to take forever" Chojin said out loud while still driving. 2 hours later Chojin past a few people till he got close to Peseo and stop a few feet from the entrance of the city "well here's the place" Chojin said while he got off the bike and walk around the city for alittle bit.

When Alexis finally reached her destination she let out a sigh of relief. She had been approached by a few not too friendly creatures but was able to handle it. After entering the entrance of Peseo Alexis immediately dropped off the cargo. She decided to stop and rest for a bit before leaving the bustling place. Now was her chance to explore the neighboring village as she pleased. After feeding the shadow bears and finding a safe place to place the empty carriage she continued on her way. It was her first time here and though it didn't show on her face the young woman was excited. Onac was so small compared to the place that her father nicknamed Trading Central. Apep had been napping for the whole ride. When he woke up and noticed that his surroundings were different the serpant looked around sharply.

Alexis looked at the different shops and vendors on the street. If only she could stay longer. The jungle was even more dangerous when night fell. Maybe should could find a place to rest for the night and then leave early in the morning.

Chojin deliver the Box to the post office and got his stamp before leaving for his trip back home Chojin thought about looking for a quick snack to eat. "I wonder where the nearest place to get some is at" he told himself as he got back on his Motorcycle and drove around to look for a bite to eat.

Dust King - Peseo Waterfront

The hot sun beat down on the humid waterfront oppressively as the midday sun reached its zenith. The streets slowly began to fill as people began to mill off from work in search of their midday lunch. Dust and his caravan made their way through the street, kicking up thin clouds of dirt as they went. The caravan members slowly began to split apart, drifting off down side streets and into buildings as they came through the town, each having their own business to attend to.

Dust settled at a roadside food sunken into the vine covered, war torn remains of a dockside warehouse. He took a seat on one of the faded leather stools, and rested his elbows on the serving bar. Dropping his head, he let out a sigh of relief, glad to be off his feet. Out from within the shop drifted the tantalizing scents of the food being prepared within. Seared fish from the local river simmered on a flat and open grill. Long skewers of thinly sliced pork hung over a smoldering fire, juices crackling as they dripped and fell into the flame. Bowls of roasted vegetables, hardy foods, onions, potatoes, and roots, sat prepared, lightly salted and seasoned with Paseo's local blend of herbs.

"Well, if it isn't the old traveler, back from another exciting tale of intrigue and adventure. Awe me, Dust, with your heart-stopping tales of daring and action." A scraggly, sharp featured young man in a stained butcher's smock taunted. He wore an ear to ear grin, eyes fixed on Dust's tired form. "You know Dust, you're late. And not a little late. Quite late. Almost a week! You can't leave your best friend to be worried like that!"

Dust gave a snort of laughter, and lifted his head to meet his friend. "I'm sorry, Jeremy. It took longer to sell everything than anticipated. I hope you didn't loose too much sleep over." He said with a touch of sarcasm. "Trading things out in the world isn't always quite as easy as selling bowls of fish to hungry dockworkers." Reaching into one of the deep pockets in his cargo pants, he retrieved a small, cloth wrapped bundle and handed it to Jeremy. "Your items." He added.

"You certainly have that right." Jeremy replied, passing a plate of food to Dust. "And thanks for the stuff. Now I can finally fix that damn radio, and boost. Maybe pick up the broadcast from Tutuko, I heard they had a music station up and running there. Having that playing would probably draw some customers." He slapped Dust on the shoulder. "Anyway, I'll leave you to your food. I'm sure you're tired, and I've got other customers to attend to."

Dust smiled as he left, began to slowly eat his food, sipping at a canteen as he ate, and watch the travelers as they passed by.

Chojin rode for a little bit till he got to Peseo Waterfront in which the Motorcycle ran out of gas "dang it" Chojin said as he got off of the bike and began to push it. After a while Chojin saw two people at a roadside food shack "hey over there can you help me" he called out to them while he push the bike faster.

There were so many smells assaulting her senses, Alexis felt a little overwhelme. Her stomach growled from hunger and she put a hand over it. She walked around the village looking for anything appetizing to eat. She stoppe when her gaze landed on what appeared to be some sort of old warehouse. The food smelled heavenly and without realizing it she began walking over. Apep curled around his human's neck a little tighter but not enough to choke her. The smell of the food didn't do much for him. He liked his food alive and well. When Alexis reached the source of the delicious smelling food she silently looked around.

Everything looked and smelled so delicious she didn't know where to start. She looked at the food choices thoughtfully. Sometimes she hated how indecisive she could be. Maybe ordering multiple things would be better but then again she was certain that she didn't have enough money for that. She was just a barmaid after all.

Dust King - Peseo Waterfront

Dust raised a brow as he heard the call for help, and turned to the caped individual pushing his motorcycle down the road. He whistled appreciatively at the sight of the vehicle. A well oiled and well cared for machine, and, from what knowledge Dust had of the subject, a powerful one at that. He slid off of his bar stool. He noticed the girl nearby standing a bit dazzled at the array of food she could order. Carefully avoiding the snake curled defensively around her neck, Dust tapped her on the arm and said, "I'd recommend the pork. They caught it this morning."

Passing through the foot traffic on the street, Dust finally reached the smartly dressed young man. He examined the motorcycle more closely as they pushed it across the street. "That's quite an impressive rig. You don't see many motorcycles in working order nowadays, let alone one of that caliber." He remarked. Crouching down, he flipped a switch hidden among the hot pipes and dusty frame of the machine, switching the fuel from main tank to reserve tank. "You should have about a half gallon left, if you want to ride it to the general store. It's down the end of the block, on the right." Dust signaled the directions with his hands as he spoke. "Although it's close enough that you could probably just hoof it. Good luck."

Alexis blinked a few times when she was touched. She turned her attention to the stranger who tapped her and watched as he walked away. That was the first time that someone she didn't know touched her...wow odd. She placed a hand on Apep's head and gently stroked it. The serpant was on guard now that someone had gotten so close. As recommended Alexis ordered the pork and sat while it was prepared. She would get something for Apep later. Maybe she would go to the park and let him roam as he please. He would surely catch something to eat there. Alexis trusted that he wouldn't harm anyone while alone. He had proven that he could behave a numerous amount of time.

Alexis stared at the cook curiositly. She was probably making him uncomfortable but she didn't notice. Maybe she'd get him to give her some to go. She needed something for the trip back. While he thought of it she would need something for the shadow bears as well. She had feed them before she walked off but then were big animals with big appetites.

Chojin smiled "thanks" he said while he got back on his bike and drove to the store where Dust showed him. The bell rang as Chojin walk into the store "hello anyone here" he called out as he walk up to the counter where a old men appear from a shelf to the counter "how can i help you stranger" the Old Man ask while Chojin pulled out a Gas tank and set i down on the counter. "This please" he said while the Old Man scan the Tank "that will by $6.89" he old man said while Chojin pulled out a 10 and paid for it "keep the change" Chojin said as he walk to the door "Have a nice day Stranger" the Old Man called out "you took" Chojin reply before he walk back to his Motorcycle.

Dust King - Peseo Waterfront

Dust watched as the caped man drove off on his motorcycle. He was... brusque, but not a bad guy. He shrugged. People were always a bit weird nowadays. He made his way back to his seat to finish his meal.

"God damn, Dust, are you sure these parts work? I can't get this damn thing to work!" Jeremy said, before muttering. "Maybe if I... Yes! There we go!" The radio buzzed to life, the back-lit analog dial shining a pale yellow as the crackle of static added to the cacophony of noises in the kitchen. Quickly screwing the back panel closed, Jeremy wasted no time in tuning the ancient device. Quickly, he managed to home in on a signal, and the catchy, relaxed tunes of early reggae resonated with surprising clarity out onto the waterfront. Dust smiled.

"I haven't failed you yet, Jeremy, don't doubt me now." He chuckled. He turned to face the woman who seemed almost transfixed by Jeremy. "Is it really so unbelievable that he's actually able to cook?" Dust joked. He found the lady with the snake quite interesting. "I haven't seen you around here before, Miss. I'm Dust King. I would offer a handshake, but I think your snake's not all too happy I tapped you earlier. Do you have a story?" He asked, leaning back against the bar, unstopping his canteen for another swig.
