The Shards . . . how to explain them . . .
Shards are people... beings, I guess you would call them, Entities, really, that have an unprecedented control of the world around them. There, as of yet, seem to be four of them, all with various ways that they interact with out world, and with various personalities and abilities. These shards seem to be a part of one singular government, and make decisions about what the whole would do, also seeming to be able to hold back members of their own order from doing certain things.
Unlike other super powerful beings, these beings do not like to be worshiped. Some tolerate it, and some actively discourage it, but they all dislike being worshiped. They do not see themselves as gods, although they functionally are, they just see themselves as stewards of the power they are given, their responsibility being to maintain the world's cohesion and protect certain people, just as it's others' responsibility to work at their occupations and support their family. It's what they were born for, but nothing worthy of being worshiped.
This file strives to introduce all of them in detail, as well as their suspected interactions with each other.
