YOU MEAN
"Hey, hey, sister, tell me that story again?"

"Which one, Chimera?"

"You know, the one you always tell me."

"You sure you don't want the fifth book of the Odyssey?"

"Nope."

"Alright alright. Here we go.

A long time ago, there was a great king of the Golden Age. His name was Cronus. A prophecy had said that the youngest of his children would overthrow his rule, and even though he tried to halt this, his efforts were futile.

Soon, his six children and several others, dubbed the Olympians, overthrew Cronus and his Titan brethren after the great war known as the Titanomachy, banishing them to the depths of Tartarus, where they were never to be seen again... I guess.

And thus began the age of Olympians.

Well, there's the part where father sought revenge but that's another story for another time."

"Oh! Tell it to me!"

"I said, another time. Good night."

One night, above the Winter skies of the small town of Kuri-shi, a small, young girl floated down, swaying from side to side like a feather.
A young boy was fated to meet her, as his hands were the ones she landed on.

She briefly opened her eyes, then her mouth.

"My name... is Saturn... what is yours?"

It was not long before her return to the land of dreams as the boy carried her home.

Kuri-shi

This is a fictitious town that will be the primary setting of the Roleplay. It is close to Tokyo & within the Chiba prefecture. The Northern area of the town is very akin to a traditional Japanese suburb, and is where Kurihara School, which hosts years from Middle to High School, is located.

The Southern area of town has some evidence of Roman architecture, even having statues of Roman deities where one would expect Japanese shrines, with an interesting tale to boot. The scenery contradicts the mix of Japanese flora and some Japanese suburb housing. Sometimes, it feels as if the Northern and Southern side of Kuri-shi are two seperate communities, and that is the case. If you want to find out more, try asking the locals.

Terminology - Playable Races

Deity - Divine beings that sit atop the heavens and control all that is below, sometimes they sit below if they are Underworld deities. In Greek Legend, there are various different kinds of gods, most notably the Titans & Olympians. This covers lesser gods that thrive on the earthly plane as well.

Divine Monster - a monster or beast that is one generation below a deity, specifically the offspring of a god that is a monster. At times, they themselves are considered deities. Like their parents, most are partially immortal, and will eventually return if 'killed'. While the gods with their vast divinity can assume a wide variety of shapes to blend in, Divine Monsters can only inherit a fraction of this polymorphic ability to shift between two base forms - their beast-like forms that they are generally depicted as in legend, and a more humanoid form, which resembles a human with traits from their beast form, such as fins, hooves, wings, animalistic ears or even a tail. If your beast form is already partially-human, like in the case of Chiron the Centaur, it will be much easier to suppress one's monster-like traits. Some of them are one-of-a-kind, such as the Chimera or the Sphinx, while others may be of a Daimone race, such as Chiron being a centaur.

Daimones - They are similiar, yet far apart. This term is used to encompass all the powerful mortal races that have appeared in Greek legends, such as Gryphons, Harpies, Centaurs & the like. Unlike Divine Monsters, they cannot hide themselves with a more human-like form through regular means.
If you are playing this, insert in the Race section 'Daimones - Insertracehere'.

Human - Well, what do you think? Also, human legends that have left the Underworld or Elysium through some means will still be considered human.

Terminology - Affiliations

Main duo - our main hero & Saturn herself. Their main goal is to live normal lives while helping Saturn regain her memory.

Typhon's Alliance - A faction lead by Typhon himself. The faction's primary goal is fueled on Typhon's primary desire, which is to bring Cronus back so that he can lead all in the Titanomachy and the return of the Golden Age. It mostly consists of the spawn of Typhon as well as any potential allies that might want a world without Olympians.

Olympians - The 12 Olympians & many figures who are associated with them. They have many errands to run, but now, they are focusing on stopping Cronus.

Olympian Chosen - A deity-chosen mortal, specifically of the Olympian variety. Introduced in Arc 1.

Unaffiliated - Basically every other character. This will consist of mundane mortals who associate with the main cast, or mythical figures who just feel like frolicking about.

Arc 1
Dawn of Return

Over the course of decades, the various constellations have began to vanish from the night sky. That was part of the prophecy.

The prophecy of Cronus' return.

The first signs of the prophecy were the disappearing constellations that would only disappear at an alarming rate as the true day got closer.

When the true day had passed, the process would slow but continue. That was how the gods knew it had happened.

The Olympians knew that one could not alter a prophecy, only prepare for it.

The prophecy had also stated that the land that Cronus will step foot upon was distant from the lands of Greek Legends. All it said was that this land was the domain of a certain 'Amatheres of the Sun', whoever that was.

As such, it was decided that the first six Olympians - Zeus, Poseidon, Hades, Hera, Demeter & Hestia, would select one of their worshippers each & bless them with some of their power.

It started with them, and it would end with them.

This arc will introduce the 6 chosen ones, handpicked by the original six Olympians that were born from the union of Cronus & Rhea. They are sent to find Cronus' whereabouts. They can be warriors, priestesses, and such.

Zeus', Poseidon's, Hera's & Demeter's chosen ones

They can be warriors that have their blessings, or even priestesses who tend to their shrines. They are devoted to their cause and will aid their patron deities in the current quest of finding Cronus.

For Zeus' chosen, the reccommended abilities would consist of flight, strength and an extent of weather manipulation, to reflect Zeus' affinity with the skies.

For Poseidon's chosen, the reccommended abilities would consists of various water-based abilities & enhanced Equestrian feats.

For Hera's chosen, the reccommended abilities would be flight, strength, and an extent of weather manipulation.

For Demeter's chosen, the reccommended abilities would include ice manipulation to represent Demeter's sorrow, or outright plant manipulation, healing and such to represent her regular state.

Zeus', Hera's and Demeter's chosen would communicate with their patron god via any reflective surface, but Poseidon's chosen must specifically communicate via a body of water.

Hades' chosen

Hades has randomly chosen some random guy from the Underworld under the promise that this person will return to the afterlife. His wife Persephone might convince him to choose one more, and if she does, Hades will oblige. His siblings aren't too fond of this, but hey, he loves his wife.

Hades' chosen would preferably possess powers relating to necromancy, or perhaps even some of Hades' weapons.

A second chosen, if somehow persuaded by Persephone, would have abilities more in-line with Persephone, such as plant manipulation or healing.

Hades' chosen communicates with Hades via reflective surfaces.

Hestia's chosen

A long time ago, the Vestales were a select few maidens in Rome who help maintained the flame of Hestia, or Vesta as she was called in Rome. They were thought to have vanished, but a certain rather-isolated town in Italy continues this tradition. That is where the current Vestales live.

Hestia has chosen a Vestalis to aid in this. While the Vestales aren't the best at combat, Hestia has blessed this chosen one with the power of her flame.

Hestia's chosen will communicate with her patron god via a flame.
