Slamming her locker shut, the young seventeen year old girl adjusted the bag on her back and walked among the sea of students that flooded the school hallways in the morning. Her friends were located far from her locker and so she had to quicken her pace every morning to catch up and find solace in the company of others. The laughter and mocking noises that her friends made as she tried to squish in between the densely packed hallways warranted a glare from her, quickly turning into a scowl as some taller student slammed into her and walked off with blissful ignorance. They were a rowdy bunch, although not part of the popular group at school, they were still a fun and loud group of people. They've all been friends all these schooling years, some longer friends than others. She sighed. At the end of this year, she had made a deal with her parents. She'd move to the much more expensive Nobleman's Page College to pursue a much more beneficial education, with the money that her family had been saving up for years. However, she would have to leave the friends that she'd gained over the years and she personally had a lot of trouble making friends with how open she is with her honest opinions. Running up to her friends, her light jogging came to a halt when a rustling in her bag ensued. Throwing her head backwards, she frowned at the movement in her backpack and moved towards the side of the corridor to get some space. Opening her bag, she was greeted with the sight of her elemental chewing on her textbooks.
"Mitzi!"
Scolding the sandy wombat, she placed her arms around its chubby body and took it out of her bag, placing it on the floor next to her. Holding out her hand with narrowed eyes at her partner for life, she looked at Mitzi with an expectant look on her face. The wombat in question however only turned towards the girl with wide innocent eyes, adding a vulnerable look to the creature. "That's not going to work this time. C'mon, hand it over." The act continued, and despite the girl's firm tone, she eventually caved in like all other times and left the wombat alone.
"Fine! But you're not getting any extra snacks when we get home."
Slinging her bag over her shoulder, she watches as the wombat releases her textbooks and waddles in front of her, already aware of the path to her next class. Grabbing the textbooks from the floor, she grimaced and wiped off the residue of sand from the cover before following behind her adorable elemental.
