Whether you are a Spartan or an Elite, both sides have the same set of abilities that they can put into them, whether it's an attachable for the Covenant or built into the suit of an UNSC Spartan. These abilities can do certain things for their respective wielders such as:

Active Camouflage

This ability allows the user to go completely invisible for a period of time. This allows them to sneak up onto a target and take from behind, or if they need to sneak past a group of enemies. Take note however that the affect does not last long and it drains faster when moving and makes you easier to detect. It also muffles sounds making it harder to hear gunfire or explosions.

Armor Lock

This ability allows the user to drop down to the ground and emit a EMP based shield around them for either a short period of time or as long as they keep their position. Once it runs out or if the user drops out of the stance, it releases a short-range EMP blast which takes down shields and immobilises nearby vehicles, however the radius is very small.

Drop Shield

This ability allows the user to drop a small shield below them to absorb incoming fire. While it allows for an area based protection, it will die out from constant damage but will change colour depending on how much damage has taken. The one disadvantage to this ability is that the shield does not restrict movement, allowing both people and vehicles to pass through. It also has a visible generator on the inside which allows anyone to walk in and destroy it.

Hologram

This ability allows the user to display a holographic form of themselves towards an area. This can be used to bait out enemies to trap them. However once the hologram stops moving, it stands there until it depletes. Also, once it gets shot once, it also disappears.

Jet Pack

The Jet Pack is used to gain a temporary amount of flight for the user whether it's a physical Jet Pack for the UNSC or the Anti-gravity Pack for the Covenant.

Evade
latest

This ability allows the user to dive sideways or backwards or forwards to break lock ons or for quick manoeuvrability. However it has limited charges of 2 so it's recommended for situational use.​
