A hushed unease held the small town of Valenar within its grip, and the locals who ventured from their homes did so with hurried steps to reach their destinations quickly. Whispers passed from ear to ear speculating into the joint presence of the Shintenchi militaries, but they were farmers and fishermen, not soldiers.
The foreigners mostly left them to their own device for the time being though. A curfew had been ennacted, but as long as they went about their lives, and didn't interfere with the military presence, then no one would be harmed. Or so they had been promissed.
The streets were heavy with military vehicles and soldiers though.
