While carefully following Maxwell, focusing on his balance, Adoneus browses through the room before coming to a halt in front of the door on his left. Calmly he enters the room and takes a moment to let his eyes accustom to the dim light, "This seems like a perfect place to zone out."he utters with a weak smile and goes to one of the tubs. Pleased he let's one hand run along the edge of the tub, before leaning forward to turn on the water, before glancing over his shoulder back at Maxwell with a smile to assure him: "I will be careful with the bandages."

While the hot water runs, Adoneus already begins to take off his clothes, gently stripping them off his delicate body, "Usually..?" he repeats with a faint chuckle while leaning against the tub to look at Maxwell, it amused him how the healer seemed to feel uncomfortable about the situation, unlike himself "I don't mind anyone seeing me naked, there is nothing to see that anyone wouldn't know of already, nothing except for the beauty of the human body." he states, dipping his hand into the water to feel the temperature, before turning the cold water slightly up.

"Usually." Maxwell said again at Adoneus' chuckle. He smiled a bit and averted his eyes respectfully. Adoneus took to the tub with ease, at least. He came to step into the room and settle on the bench. He crossed his arms and leaned back, "You're confident," He observed, when the man called it 'beauty', "Many of our patients prefer their privacy, despite the danger."

He snorted, then chuckled. "Then again, some of our patients prefer to share the baths, especially when they need sponge baths." Maxwell smiled as he laid his head back, his eyes closing. He vaguely wondered how the funeral was going.

Once more the white haired man dips his hand into the water, by moving his hand he creates small waves in the water which now had the perfect temperature, not too hot, nor too cold. He removes his hand and instead grips the edge of the tub to secure his balance while stepping into the the tub and sitting down. He sighed as all the tension in his body seemed to disappear in the warm water, it was a truly delightful feeling. Adoneus leans back and closes his eyes, each arm resting on it's side of the tub's edge.

"It is not that I am particularly confident, most people today just lack confidence." He mumbles and opens one eye to look over to Maxwell on the bench, "everyone seeks the truth, but seeing naked skin seems to become more and more of a taboo, even though naked there is nothing but our true appearance, the way we are born. Ironic isn't it...?" he says with an amused smile before chuckling "I can greatly imagine some old men asking for the nurses to wash them, maybe you should consider getting nurses that don't look as good...?" Adoneus says in a cheeky tone and laughs.

It would have been ironic if not frightening that a small pack of undead came to knock on the door of the Warden’s Haven. For mindless beasts, they surely appeared to have a sense of humor as they caved the door in, a handful of them wandering in rather aimlessly at first. They appeared to be a disorderly bunch, ill-equipped, some missing limbs, others with entrails hanging from their gut. Perhaps they were just there to get their yearly checkup.

Maxwell lift his head when he heard Adoneus settle into the tub. Now properly covered, Maxwell felt no trepidation in watching the young man settle and slowly begin to relax. The stress and aches of a terrible injury was beginning to bleed out of him - but the humor he showed never really faded from him, even at the worst of it. "Naked skin is taboo," He countered, "Beautiful as it may be, it represents a weakness in us, meant for those we trust."

He smiled, then as Adoneus mentioned the nurses, sighing at his comment, "Perhaps they should all grow old quicker" He huffed, "It would save me a bunch of time dealing with the fraternizing."

He smiled, settling his head back down, only to jump, his eyes widened as a chill ran down his spine. The moment something.. wrong.. passed through the ward, he could feel something wasn't right. His expression pinched and he stood up, quite suddenly. "Stay here.." He said, almost as a second thought as he stepped out of the bath just as the front door collapsed. It startled those patients and nurses inside, and Sarah let our a startled scream when the.. beings came inside.

Beings that weren't alive.

"Rosie, get the patients into the back rooms!" Maxwell demanded, stepping back and turning then to go to his office while his nurses worked to get the patients out of the way of the shuffling dead. He had to get a weapon. He had only a glance of the creatures, but thats all it took: these guys were monsters.

"Meant for those we trust."

Adoneus closed his eyes and began scrubbing his fair skin with a sponge, trust has always been a difficult word for Adoneus since he found out about his ability, so he decides not to go deeper into the topic, "It seems our opinions differ from one another." He says with a light smile, glancing over to Maxwell for a moment "I don't see our truest self as weak, mentally and physically."

A strange silence fills the room, the atmosphere now was rather eerie instead of relaxing, Adoneus' body tenses up. The white-haired man began to feel uneasy when Maxwell suddenly stands up, something was certainly wrong, as it seems he wasn't the only one who felt it.

The healer had just left the room when a loud slam could be heard "What is going on there..?" he mumbles with concern, standing up to leave the tub, Maxwell told him to stay, but at this point, he didn't think that would be the best idea.

A scream could be heard, Adoneus who is standing next to the tub trying to rub his body dry with a towel, now sped up, skipping the dry-rubbing, jumping right to getting dressed as fast as possible. Fate certainly wasn't on his side lately. A bit wobbly on his feet, Adoneus walks to the door and takes a look, his eyes widen at the sight of those... things. He looks around, trying to find something he could defend himself with, but in a hospital that would be hard to find.

Before any of these things noticed him, he slides as quick as he can out of the door, sprinting to the back rooms, there he would be safe for a moment. Panting he reaches one of the back rooms, he takes a look back and noticed how he just ran that whole way, adrenaline truly makes incredible things possible. Once again he looks through the room, trying to calm other patients with a light smile while walking past them. At the end of the room, he finds a broom which he picks up with a short sigh, it was better than nothing. Adoneus could feel that his body was as weak as before, but the adrenaline right now was masking it very well, so he decides to make the most of it, as long as it lasts. With the broom in his hands, Adoneus goes back and positions himself at the doorframe.

Adoneus' parting words would have to be dwelled on latter, it seemed, as Haven was invaded by what seemed to be the walking dead. No, not only Haven. The entire city, perhaps. This wasn't good, and Maxwell had an unsettling feeling that the funeral had something to do with it. What were they here for? And how dangerous were they? Maxwell itched to go find the source and beat the hell out of it, but right now his home, his Haven was in danger.

He was going to protect it.

He came back out of the office with Eternal Harmony on his hip. The hallway was a rush of nurses and patients fleeing the main room and Maxwell could hear the low snarling moans beyond them. He pressed forward, pausing to catch Bernard by the arm and the nurse pause, his expression uncertain but clearly putting on a brave face for the patients. "Check the back door. Make sure its locked and brace it with something heavy."

He waited until Bernard nodded in understanding, only to pause when he spotted the familiar figure guarding the door with a broom handle. Maxwell hesitated, casting him a hesitant look, but the snarls were growing louder and he didn't have time to give doctorly advice that will definitely be ignored. Instead, he said, "In my office there are proper weapons, if you need them." He said to the brave Adoneus who's first thoughts were to protect and not run.

He gave the young man a firm nod before he turned and slid past his patients to stand at the entrance of the front room where Rosie was helping the last of the patients quickly as they could leave the front room. They were elderly, and slow to move, and the shuffling creatures were taking notice. Six in total, but Maxwell could sense more inside his ward.

He pulled Eternal Harmony from her sheath and gripped her with two hands. The two closest to Rosie had taken notice, and suddenly, as if a switch had been pulled they lunged. Maxwell quickly rushed them, cutting off their advance as he swung his sword. He fully expected the sword to smack into them like a bat - they were human once, after all - but the sword sliced clean, cutting the first one's head clear from it's body. Rosie saw it all, but had no time to worry about fear, she quickly moved everyone out of the way while Maxwell went for the next kill.

In the back, Bernard was heading towards the back door when it was suddenly shoved open and three of the dead toppled over each other to get inside. Bernard quickly backpedaled in surprise.

Just as the former Grandmaster, Ceolin Anwil appeared in the area, all of the undead turned their attention towards the marketplace, rushing out almost in unison as if heeding the call of their master who was about to go head-to-head with Grandmaster Raakshdos in the streets.

Adoneus notices Bernard struggling with three of these creatures, quickly he cimes to aid, smashing the broomstick into the chest of one of the bottom ones, causing them to collapse from the force of the hit.

He heard Maxwell before saying that there were weapons in his office, he looks around searching for the door of said room, but before he could do anything, all of a sudden aĺl of the creatures flock once again and rush to the exit. What was all this about?! As soon as they had left Adoneus drips the stick, his body felt even worse than before now, exhausted he drops down onto his butt.

"Mother... sister.." His family came to mind were they alright? What if they ran towards their home? A troubled feeling spread through his mind and he tries to get up, failing as his muscles just won't do as he wants anymore, they were too weak.

"Adoneus?" Bernard's hand pressed against his shoulder when he found the young man collapsed inside Maxwell's office. Behind him the nurses were rushing around, tending to shocked patients and boarding up the back door before the creatures threatened to come back, "Come on, you're alright, just breath." He said, mistaking Adoneus' worry for shock as he crouched down beside him.

The fleeing dead certainly came as a shock as Maxwell finished off the third before the rest made it out the door. Three bodies laid upon the ground in various states of decay. Maxwell looked over them, then towards the door. Why did they just leave? It was as if they were called away..

"Maxwell?" Rosie touched his shoulder and Maxwell turned his gaze upon her, "What were those things?"

"I don't know, but I think the city is in danger," He frowned, "Tend to the patients and bar the doors until help arrives."

"Where are you going?" Rosie huffed as Maxwell cleaned his sword and slid it back into its scabbard while he headed for the door.

"I'm going to help." was all Maxwell answered as he disappeared through the door.

At first, Adoneus didn't react, he was imagining the things that could've happened to his family, gruesome things. Or maybe they are torn apart by the undead in the exact moment he is thinking about it? The young man lifts his head to look Bernard in the eye, "I got to know if my mother and sister are alright." He grasps the shoulders of Bernard, clinging onto the young man to pull himself back up on his feet amid exhausted panting.

His whole body was tensed up and shaking like leaves in the wind, but his voice sounded calm and smooth as ever. Adoneus' eyes look through the room, searching for any trace of the healer, but he could not see him anywhere.

"Hey, wait, calm down," Bernard said, trying to keep himself standing as Adoneus practically climbed him to get himself to his feet, "ITs going to be alright," He said, grabbing hold of Adoneus' arm before he nearly fell down again, "Those.. things.. they retreated and Maxwell went after them. Whatever happened I'm sure your family will come find you." He said, encouraging, as he lead Adoneus to one of the open chairs. Around them, people were crying and asking their own worried questions. No one seemed to know what was going on.

Oni walked into the hospital, the children still with her. Though they were quickly taken by nurses once they saw the state of the sister and the nearly hysterical crying of the boy. Oni was not sure if the children would get the help they needed, or if their parents had made it. But she had gotten them here. She could see more people making their way there. She sighed heavily, wishing there was more that she could do. So she started to help sort out the people, directing those who had severe injuries to the doctors, while nurses were to the helping those with more manageable injuries. It was not much, and it was not enough. But she was doing something.

Wolf was a newcomer to the city. He's only been here half a day, and already he must perform his duties as he had assisted strangers from the undead attack, using his strength and armor to lift up beams and debris that had fallen on the civilians. Now he guards the hospital, protecting it from the crazed or desperate. His companion Calm Before the Storm, had been out scouting the area, looking for survivors among the wrecked buildings people were not able to scout out for one reason or another. His companion jumps through a window and makes her way to the Honor Guardsman.

"Report." Wolf ordered

"Nothing. Everything has been relatively calm for now. All the undead are now properly dead and the survivors are now here now helping out the ones who are trapped." Calm replied

"That is good to know. I wonder how this could have happened?"

"However it could have happened, I will not doubt the Master won't be disappointed in our report."

"Hopefully not Storm, hopefully not. Now I need you to stay here and guard the area. I shall examine the condition of the Cathedral."

"The Cathedral? What's the importance does that serve us?"

"In times of distress, people turn to the church for guidance. I want to see if the situation there is any different from here."

"Fine. I shall stay as ordered." Calm said and Wolf leaves the Haven, leaving behind his comrade to watch over his post.

As soon as Adoneus sat down onto the chair and his mind started to calm down, he begin to realize inappropriate he reacted, after all, he wasn't the only one who had problems right now. With a deep sigh escaping his lips Adoneus looks through the room before looking back at Bernard with a frown "Maxwell went.. after them?" he asks, wondering why one would follow a mass of undead people, of what use was it? He looks down at his still slightly pruney fingers, ah.. right, the time that had passed seemed very long, but in reality, it had actually only been a few minutes since he got out of the tub.

"I think they are smart enough to stay in the house until these beings are gone.." He mumbles calmly while trying to fix the bandage around his head which had loosened up.

Sikex, played by Meliodas

Warden's Haven - Hospital
Having returned abruptly from Abaddon, Sikex wandered quietly into the hospital, passing by one patient after another, all of who seemed to give him the strangest look. It wasn’t until he stopped that everyone grew tense. Turning, Sikex faced a young boy who had been badly hurt. He wasn’t going to make it. The boy seemed to almost accept that fact as he looked at Sikex, fear in his eyes as tears began to well up. “What’s wrong, boy?” Sikex murmured, taking a knee beside him. Struggling to speak, the child briefly found his voice. “Am I going to die?”

“Yes.” Even though he was addressing a child, Sikex didn’t see the use in lying. “I’m afraid.” The boy spoke again, fighting with every breath just to hang on. “Fear is only something man created in the face of the unknown. But just because you don’t understand something, doesn’t mean it is scary. This world is only half the journey, and you have to leave it behind before you can enjoy the rest.” Whether the boy was comforted by those words was unknown because just as Sikex placed a hand over the boys, he was gone, his soul parting the world peacefully.

Oni did her best to help, though as other wardens filtered in, she didn't really need to any more. She stepped back into the hospital and simply took in the scope of what had happened. Or at least the damage it had caused. People of all ages and races that lived in New Eden were here. Some were dead, others dying, and the rest were in various states of injuries. And that was just in the lobby of the hospital. She felt her stomach twist painfully and she felt sick. There was a lot of unnessicary death and destruction. To what end she had to wonder.

Oni turned to see a man kneeling beside a child. The child was too still, and Oni was sure that her kind were taking the soul of the child to the after life now. She walked over and looked down at the child, a shake of her head tossing her long red hair around her face and shoulders. "Did you know the child?" Oni asked the man that was crouched beside the boy. Even if he did not, she would understand. All of this death, and a lot of them were children. It was heartbreaking.

Warden's Haven - Hospital
He almost didn’t register the woman’s voice, lost in reverie as he stared at the lifeless body of the boy in front of him. When he finally turned his attention towards her, he could sense she was an angel, albeit a fledgling, whom he hadn’t run into previously. “Not personally. Although, it is hard to get any more personal than being there when someone dies.” Eyeing the angel, he seemed to silently marvel her. She was a beauty, no doubt, with flowing fiery red hair and pale blue eyes. A vision, no doubt, just like most of the divine tended to be. Perfect.

It was hard at that moment not to remember that he had left Lorie and Abbi alone in the tavern. Lorie especially wouldn’t have taken that well. Sadly, they could never know about his work, or true intent nor would they ever understand the responsibility he carried.

"That is all too true." She said as she shifted her eyes from the boy to the male. She could not tell if he was human or not, but at the moment it did not matter. She pushed her hair from her face, then offered her hand to the male. "I'm Oni." She said to him, figuring that since they were both there at the hospital, it was a good time to introduce herself. She rolled her shoulders a little, not realizing just how tense she felt and she shifted her wings a little, the light in the hospital gleaming off her red tipped, rainbow feathers.

Calm stood at her post. She scanned the area, looking at the frightened, the distressed, the crazed, the dying and the dead, but she couldn't care less. This was part of life, and her duty was to watch and protect these people, as boring as it was to do. She noticed however a man starting at a winged red headed woman with deep interest. The people here were busying tending to their own and they didn't need a trouble maker in the hospital. Still it wasn't a crime to stare so she left the man be, but kept a close eye on him and a hand on her blade.
