Kin no Keifu

Genealogy of Gold
In an unspecified part of the world, there's a school. It's a big one, big enough that all the students have dorms, and it boasts one thing and one thing only above all.

It's a school where special people go to learn.

Everyone at this school has an anime plot surrounding them. Just last year a princess from the fairy lands graduated her magic lessons and became a warrior destroying threats to the planet one at a time. The year before was the year a warlock got thrown into a game and emerged with a virtual daughter. Classes barely matter unless they have plot points in them and every student knows it. Zombies attack every three months and they are fought off by whatever club deems it interesting to fight them away. Every trope and every plot can and will be put into effect here.

And, just for this year, the school is hosting a talent show that gives the winner A-pluses on every subject, a free home for their use designed to any specification, and a potion that can give you your chosen Happy End for free, 100% guaranteed. Anyone from any background can drink it and instantly get exactly what they really want in life.

Every prospective student is sent an application for this talent show. They are asked to give their answers soon.

Good luck!

(Hope this is good. Any character of any humanoid species with any background is welcome. Except the R-18 backgrounds. That's a little much; this is meant to be a casual, slice-of-life sort of thing. Questions will be entertained here. I want to see how this goes.)

You're perfectly free to make a character. (TBH I really do like this idea. I hoped it would get some kind of response.)

So, I wanted to post a character. Again, you're perfectly free to make the character fit any genre. Except the ecchi-based genres. They can be a magical girl, an orc, a typical love interest, an evil doctor, a serial killer, a genius billionaire playboy philanthropist, a detective, the vessel of Lucifer, whatever you want to do. Hell, mix two unrelated ideas. There is basically nothing stopping you.

Name:
Andraste

Age: 79, officially 16 in the school records.

Gender: Female

Species: Seelie. The Seelie court are known to seek help from humans, to warn those who have accidentally offended them, and to return human kindness with favors of their own. Still, a fairy belonging to this court will avenge insults and could be prone to mischief. The most common time of day to see them is twilight. Other names for the Seelie court are 'The Shining Throne' or 'The Golden Ones' and 'The Summer Court'. Seelies are known for playing pranks on humans and having a light hearted attitude, forgetting their sorrows quickly and not realizing how they might be affecting the humans they play pranks on.

Background: A solitary Seelie who decided to escape to the human world, Andraste decided it was a better idea to use her considerable magic to build a content life. She doesn't want to be recognised as a Seelie, and pretends to be a typical witch, going so far as to dress up as one. She really doesn't want the group she escaped from to find her. She takes all of the sweets witch classes, which focus her magic specifically on edible things, and excels in the enchantment area, as any food she makes or any potion can be enchanted with ease due to the magic of the sidhe and fae.

Quick Description of Self: A young "witch" who's unused to the world outside her home, Andraste has a fairly specialised magic set and exactly zero humanoid friends. She has a cat that she says is her familiar, but it's honestly doubted. The school is pretty sure she's lying and just wants to keep the little cat she found on the school grounds. She has a lot of personal "enchantments" that enhance her physical characteristics. She has a real love for cooking and baking, often simply giving out snacks at school and offering dessert in the cafeteria. For some odd reason, anyone who eats her food is entirely unable to leave the school. She keeps trying to make a potion or food that might turn her cat human.

Appearance:

Powers: Enchantment, enhanced condition, decelerated aging, illusion, dream manipulation, misdirection, trapping with food or drink, and contract making. Contract making is being able to warp reality by trading something equally important and losing it for as long as reality is changed in that way.

Hypothetical Happy End/ Plot Goal: Successfully becoming a brilliant sweets witch and being able to leave behind her past with the Sidhe.

Rival(s): None.

Hobbies: Cooking, playing with her cat, reading, testing potions, making potions, dancing.

Club(s): Sweet Royale, Gourmet Grant

So I mentioned clubs earlier. Yeah. I decided I'd make a list of the clubs, to be updated as needed or as wanted. You're perfectly free to suggest a club if you're reading this. Give me a description and I'll add it to the list.

.

Sweet Royale: A club for any who love making sweets. Has frequent bake sales and are the main caterers for any birthdays held within the school. They actually get a budget for as long as they offer catering services.

Gourmet Grant: The gourmet counterpart to the above, they are offered a similar stipend by the school. They are mainly in charge of such things as the school festivals' food and the once-a-month specials at the cafeteria, which are subject to the whim of the club president.

News U.L.T.I.M.A.: The school newspaper club, publishing any and all stories that come within sight. They have a reputation for lightning-fast reporting, enough that an interesting thing from moments before could have an article written about it already. They only take the best of the best, and members must have passed multiple speed and metaphorical accuracy tests.

Basketball Bouncers: The basketball club, in a heated rivalry with the music club that spans two school-regulated weeks of nonstop pranks that span both clubs. They play championship games against each other regularly and often come out barely the worse for wear. Watching them play is like watching a futuristic anime swordfight: everyone knows the Kirito character *cough*them*cough* wins every time.

Maestros of the Court: The music club. They have an ongoing rivalry with the basketball club as detailed above. Their performances and battles of the band are frequent enough that the janitors' pay is doubled and paid by the hour for every time they use the auditorium (read: daily). Their instruments are the best and they have a reputation of being able to train even the worst students of music into grand masters after a few montages too many.
