Welcome to the world of Pokemon. This world is filled with amazing creatures of all size and shapes, known as Pokemon. People and Pokemon have forged a life together. They life, work, play, laugh and cry together daily and both Pokemon and people have benefited from this bond. The most popular form of this bond is a sport known as Pokemon Battling where both Pokemon and the Trainer's hard work and bond are tested in the flames of battle.
Pokemon Battling has become so popular that tournaments known as Pokemon Leagues have sprouted up in almost all regions and there are even local Pokemon Battle Competitions and Tournaments in many towns and cities outside of the official leagues. Now joining this trend is the famous Pokemon Safari Park, simply known as Zara's Park. Zara's Park is the world's largest Pokemon Safari Park, consisting of over 355700 square miles used to host Pokemon from all regions that all live and interacting with each other. The park offers an easy way for one to examine and wander the park's land for a price, and for a bit more they can get a license to battle and catch Pokemon within the park.
With park attendance at the lowest it has ever been, Zara's Park manager, Professor Zizi, have set up a grand team tournament to generate revenue and attract Battlers as a new audience for the park. The park attracted many tourists of all kinds from all regions, and even some park Rangers have decided to put their hat in the ring as the prize is the total amount of 6 million, and the title of the first champions of Zara's Park. Participants will be placed in teams of 2 and will travel through the park's regions winning Park Badges and eventually fighting other teams then each other in the new Park Coliseum.

OOC Rules & Misc.
1. Site Rules apply to the RP.
2. Swearing is not allowed at all so keep the RP PG as much as possible. I'm sure most people are fine with dark subjects but no blood, obsessive violence, sexual imagery and such.
3. NO LEGENDARY STARTERS!!!
4. Mega-Evolution will be a thing, but you will not be able to get it right off the bat.
5. Understand that if you are primarily going to RP as a person. You can RP as your pokemon if you wish, but remember that they'll most likely going to in your pokeball like 80% of the time.
6. I am going to determine what pokemon you encounter, their abilties, and when your pokemon evolves. You can select the pokemon's default move set. Any moves can be chosen for the pokemon but the set must come from the pokemon's naturally learned moveset.
7. Battles are going to be more like the Anime. Stats and Status will play a secondary role as Tactics, Skill and Strategy will be the primary factor in winning.Don't be an idiot however. A elderly, wild Charizard will more then likely decimate your trained and fresh Bulbasaur. Moves will be strong based on the pokemon as well so a Charizard's Flamethrower will be way stronger then a Magby's Flamethrower.
