"Yeah... We're right behind you! There's no time to waste. Revan can try an' slow us down all he wants, but he can't keep us away forever! Let's go!" He exclaimed, and after catching his breath for a quick moment, was off once more along with the rest of the group, unwilling to be deterred by anything at this point.

The momentum was at an all-time high now; if the multiverse being destroyed twice over wasn't enough to stir at his resolve, then nothing could anymore!

Billy did not say another word as the group continued forward. They seemed to be getting closer and closer to their goal as they walked through this massive battlefield.

"I'm getting a sense of what this loop is," he said suddenly. They could see fighting in the distance. In the direction where Revan supposedly was, there wasn't Revan at all, but a battle between two different parties. "... He's there."

Billy suddenly disappeared in a blue light and appeared ahead. As the group got closer, they could see that a group was battling just one man.

"You are facing a hopeless battle." Thanos fired off a blast of cosmic energy towards his foes. "Your elders have already been defeated. What do think you can accomplish?"

A group of young superheroes stood defiantly against the man. They looked exhausted and beaten down, but still they stood strong.

"As long as we draw breathe, we will never stand down, Thanos," said the young man with the shield.

"We are the Avengers," said a young girl who towered over the others in size.

"Unfortunately, we're really stubborn like that," said the bow-wielding girl.

A boy suddenly appeared within the group, looking pretty familiar.

"What the hell?" he said. "Who are all of you?" His eyes went wide and his breath caught in his throat at the sight of Wanda. "W-Wait... You're alive?!"

"Billy?!"

His attention turned from Thanos, a big green guy with wings was floating in the air, staring at Billy, who in turn was staring back. It wasn't long before tears were streaming down Billy's face.

"I-I almost didn't think I'd ever see you--"

"A touching reunion," Thanos interrupted with much mirth in his voice, his voice projecting across the battlefield. "Even with these reinforcements there is nothing left for you to do-"

A crash through reality itself when a star-shaped appeared out of thin air. "You--" A person burst through it punching Thanos hard in the chin. "Talk." Another blow sent the Mad Titan crashing into the ground. "Too much." She turned to face others. "Sorry I'm late, but..."

"Reality is being a bitch right now."

"If that's Billy's brother, these must be his friends," Elliot said.

"But who the hell is that guy?" Claire asked, looking at Thanos.

"Not someone any of us should take lightly!" Makoto said.

Billy's eyes flashed blue. "Teddy, we're here to help. Everyone, we have to do this... We're gonna break Thanos!"

"Well, whatever the case, if they're friends of Billy, then they're friends of us too!" Touma said in conjunction with Elliot, staring down the alien conqueror looming over them all. It all clicked together from there as the group had run into Billy's friends, including the white-haired boy that Vanitas had disguised himself as before; as Billy had lampshaded earlier, this was definitely his world. His "loop," so to speak.

"Don't count us out just yet, bastard! Looks like you'll be needing some reinforcements of your own real soon!" The boy postulated as the unfamiliar young woman appeared and socked the Mad Titan for good measure. "He's here, isn't he?! Revan's in this very world, isn't he?! And he can't even show up to face us himself?!"

Both Thanos and America were using cosmic energy, he could recognize it anywhere, since he uses cosmic energy too.

❝ Heard you loud and clear, Billy! ❞ Blake declared, readying himself for yet another fight. There was no time to take a break here, even if his body was starting to reach their limits. His tech cube whirred to life once more, and the amplifying nanomachines in his bloodstream started to run its course. He took a hold of a projected sword, anticipating what to expect from here on out.

"If we have to break this ugly purple thing to break this loop and fight Revan, we'll do it. Billy. I do have to ask one thing. Is there anything special in this loop that Revan could be looking for?" He asked, his eyes flashing for a moment to a blue. There was something around here that was awakening some of those locked powers Lucifer hadn't used....not that he knew it. He would shoot some fire at Thanos, wondering how he did that.

"I-I'll be okay," Elliot said to Azura, holding out a hand to her.

"I don't know about any traps," Billy said, "but he knows we're coming." He looked to Gentaro, Emily, Ruby, Thaal, Blake, and all of the others. "Though we couldn't all make it here, I know we have the power to put things right. And don't worry..."

"This way," Wanda suddenly said, looking in a random direction. Billy began to fly that way.

"... we'll find reinforcements!"

As the group continued in the direction Wanda gave, they found that much of the area they were in was little more than a scorched battlefield. It was clear that this entire area had been the sight of an incredibly destructive battle. The group wandered past smoking craters and ruined buildings, on and on, only being forced to stop when a voice could be heard.

"Hold on now," said a male presence. "Where do you all think you're going?"

Suddenly, a giant card appeared before the group, blocking their way. A series of them appeared in a giant circle to trap the group inside.

A blond man appeared before them, smirking. "Let's sit down and play a game first."

"Why should you have all the fun, Luxord?" said another male, who appeared next to the blond. This one seemed to have weird-looking guns and an eye-patch.

A third appeared next to them, with long blue hair and looking a bit like the "student" who had tried to stop Makoto and Kyoko before. "I am not letting these ones get past me again," he said.

Luxord calmly stroked his beard. "Xigbar... Saix. I suppose having you two here evens the odds, no?"

Billy's eyes glowed blue. "These guys are working with Revan!"

Xigbar and Luxord instantly teleported away as Saix took the brunt of the railgun attack. He raised his weapon high, drawing the blast to it and standing his ground to absorb the attack. Claire grunted as her pistol flew out of her hands. Other metal debris within the walls of the battle flew at Saix, but he simply tossed his weapon into the middle of the group. Billy cast a spell to cease the magnet's effect. Saix then summoned a copy of the weapon into his hands and flew at Touma, ready to strike him down.

Xigbar appeared behind the charging Biscuit, firing an energy bullet into her back. He then craned his neck toward Jianyu and instantly fired off a volley of shots at her with his second gun.

When Luxord reappeared, Honda zeroed in on him. "Want to play?" he asked, four cards suddenly spin around him to protect him from direct attack. The cards spun rapidly. Three of them had Xs on the back of the, while one had an O...

Saix slammed hard against Blake's shield with his weapon, pushing against it with an incredible amount of force. When it seemed he might win over, Giorno came through, delivering a punch that sent Saix staggering. Further blows sent him flying backward and the blue-haired man could only look back at him in rage. As Bridgette's fireball came at him, he swung his weapon through the ground to kick up debris and dissipate the attack. Touma's sneaky attack came next, though with rock and dirt hindering him, it was easy for Saix to grab him by the throat and toss him aside. As if in a full-on rage now, the man started rising into the air, glowing.

The energy pulses Jianyu sent out had Xigbar flying backward, while Biscuit's kick sent him into the air. It took him a moment to gather himself as he stopped himself in mid-air, as if suspended by magic. "Nice try," he said, suddenly disappearing and re-appearing all around the arena. Energy shots from his guns held in the air, suddenly moving when the man snapped his fingers. All in all, dozens of bullets were heading toward Biscuit, Jianyu, and Azura, while threatening to hit anyone who happened to get in the way.

Luxord raised one hand toward Wanda's hex bolts, conjuring a wall of cards that blocked her strikes. The O card gave way easily and Luxord flinched as if this action had hurt him. "Fair and square," he said, as another card appeared in his hand. It turned giant, large enough to be use as a weapon, and Luxord swung it in front of him as if to strike Honda.

Azura's pendant glowed, and as she slashed horizontally with her naginata, water followed the harsh movement in an attempt to cut into the bullets or deflect them from harming the Songstress and Elliot.

With Jianyu, Biscuit, and Nathan going in to attack Xigbar, she turned her head to check on Elliot momentarily.

Whether Jianyu or Nathan's attacks landed, Xigbar would be in Azura's sights.

Singing in a lower key, she sent a wave of water to hopefully crash into Xigbar with enough force to throw him back after the others attacks.

There was a second shock wave when Touma's fist impacted Saix's face. Touma's ability to cancel out powers made Saix no stronger than anyone else as Touma sent him flying in the opposite direction he had just shot forward at. He continued flying until he hit the ground, only for his body to get blown up by Wanda. This was then followed by Gentaro's attack, which caused an even bigger explosion, resulting in a smoking crater.

Xigbar had just gotten himself out of the debris when Biscuit landed a couple of blows against him. Luxord was pulled roughly from his card form by Lucifer and held in the air. When Nathan punched Xigbar, he went stumbling backward into Luxord.

"I want you both gone!" Billy yelled, magic flying from his hands. A bolt of energy coursed across the battlefield and slammed into the pair, enveloping them.

When the dust settled, nothing remained of the three men. The giant cards that had been trapping the group disappeared.

"This isn't over yet," Billy said.

Even though Emily was eager to meet up with the reinforcements, deep down... She knew it wasn't going to be so easy. As she followed Billy, she carefully prepared for whatever awaited them.

And then, they appeared.

A group of fighters that gave off the same ominous Vanitas had. As she suspected, they were working with Revan, and thus, she prepared to jump into the fray.

Xigbar's bullets flew towards Biscuit, Emily fought with her usual magics, using her powers to deflect and knock back her foes, at least until Billy managed to make them vanish, allowing them to find the 'backup' they were looking for.

At roughly the same time as Billy, Emily too realized the nature of this loop. And seeing how close they were to the finish line, she saw no reason to hold back anymore.

For the first time since that battle in Raccoon city decided to unleash the full extent of her stone's powers. Having built it up until now, she had been preparing for the final encounter with Revan and his forces.

"This ends here, Thanos!" She shouted.

And suddenly... A fiery aura surrounded her body, as a familiar set of orange wings sprouted from her back, formed from that strange magic she had used against Nemesis, and in its lesser form, against other foes since that fatefull encounter.

Unlike that battle against Nemesis though, she had no need to change fully into her Phoenix form, but instead, used the very magic that had made up the form like she would her usual stone magic.

And then, she rushed forwards, a blur of magenta and orange magic, leaving a trail of hot air in her wake as she rushed to envelop Thanos in her own magical aura, constricting him as she tried to anticipate his next move...

Ruby in the meantime, had been fighting alongside Emily and the others, dusting off her skills as a Huntress as she slowly and surely began to warm up to the all too familiar rush of andrenaline in battle, her motions growing faster and faster, as she began to appear and disappear in a flurry of petals.

But once they met Thanos, Ruby instantly knew what to do.

As the others either charged him, or in the case of Emily, began to wrap him in some strange version of her stone magic, Ruby herself took a more direct approach.

Fumbling for an aged, but still fully usable magazine on her belt, she quickly loaded it into her crescent rose, adjusting how she held the currently scythe-like weapon as she dug in her heels.

"Ruby Rose! Armed and ready!" She shouted, a confident smile on her face just before she launched herself towards Thanos, preparing to slash at her foe as soon as she drew close enough.

Between this and Emily's stone magic, which the stonekeeper had carefully parted for brief moments to let the attacks of the others go though, she hoped it was enough to turn the tide.​

Nathan let out a deep exhale as the cloaked men disintegrated in front of them. The small moment of relief ended as Billy charged forward, the others following swiftly behind. Nathan fell back slightly so he could be near Bridgette, Elliot, and the white-haired girl. He gave a long gaze at the other man, who still seemed a bit off.

"You okay, Elliot?" He asked, putting a hand on his shoulder in a comforting manner- before turning towards the woman he was fighting with, noting her striking eyes and tough demeanor.

"I'm Nathan by the way," he gave a smirk to the woman as he walked off. He stood in his tracks as a blue light engulfed Billy, his eyes now focusing on the large violet man who was behind the view of the light.

A group already was there fighting him, one of the people Nathan recognized as Billy's twin. He felt a bit more confident now their group had grown in numbers. As soon as Billy said they were going to defeat him, Nathan jumped towards the enemy- drawing his gun.

"Eat this you grape flavoured FUCK!" He yelled shooting at the man, trying to aim past the armor.

"Amusing..." If Thanos was bothered by the fire and heat the Mad Titan didn't show it. Before Ruby's scythe managed to connect with flesh she'd find it be caught in Thanos' hand with a bemused smirk on his face. "Who are you to assume that you could hurt me?" Emily felt the strain on the magical aura until it started to crack and finally shattered. "Children believing themselves to be 'heroes'? Pathetic." Nathan's bullets harmlessly hit his skin and fell to the ground.

"I admire your spirit. However, no matter how hard you struggle." He flung Ruby to the side as he blasted Emily with energy from his hand. "Death is inevitable, and you have only hastened it by attacking me."

"The hell is this guy?" Biscuit replied as she tried to seize up their opponent.

"Thanos the Mad Titan is a threat that few have faced and lived to tell the tale about," Wanda, still weak from the attack she used on Saix was trying to play interference. "The only way we are going to survive this is if we work together and overwhelm him."

"Easier said than done," Biscuit scoffed. "Someone needs to be coordinating us then."

❝ Sure. I can work with some team coordination... not good on planning but I can improvise on whatever happens... ❞ Blake commented on the exchange between Biscuit and Wanda. There was only so much that he could think of from the top of his head when it came to dealing with this Mad Titan guy. He was initially thinking of rushing in and throwing whatever he could at Thanos, but obviously that wouldn't do much given how he didn't seem to be hurt from Lucifer's, Emily's, and Ruby's attacks. It was going to take more conbined effort than that to overwhelm Thanos.

Even if it did feel like a stupid move to bank in on, Blake thought up... something.

❝ ... or I go through with an undeniably dumb plan for myself that's out of the box. Then again, it's probably better than nothing. ❞ The ravenette lodged a drone pod out of his tech cube, attaching it to the projected sword he was holding and allowing the sword-drone to levitated around him defensively.

❝ Whatever coordinated attack we do, I'll tag in when I'm ready. Just gonna play an extreme version of 'monkey see monkey do' as preparation. ❞ He sported a dumb smile in attempts to whisk away the nervousness out of him, because really, he wasn't sure if this was going to work out on top of everyone else's efforts.

Unbuckling the tech cube off his belt, he held it tightly in his hand before reciting a vocal command for his nifty invention. ❝ Program start... Trace on... all! ❞

In response, his cube began to light up with numerous scan-lines that traced over everyone present in this fight, simultaneously collecting recorded battle data of them, allies alike and Thanos himself, from this moment on until Blake stopped the "trace" program. As battle data was being collected, it was being sent remotely to the nanomachines in Blake's body, causing him to flinch in pain. It was like essentially forcing himself to learn all sorts of fighting styles and possible abilities he trace from them alone, should the tech cube be able to process all this sudden information at once. Considering their opponent, he was going to risk collecting as much battle data as he could, merely using the hovering sword-drone as his only defense while doing this.

Nathan rolled his eyes as the bullets effortlessly bounced off the man's course skin. He winced as he watched the others be thrown, he had to think- he was never good under stress, but being through this made him quicker on his feet. Nathan had no powers, and he wasn't sure his fists would do much. He let out a deep exhale before pulling the knife he had stashed away before scanning the area for Elliot. When he located him he shouted to him.

"Hey! El, think you're strong enough to use your powers?" He asked before moving into a running position and sprinting towards their opponent hoping to catch him off guard. He let out a noise of annoyance before plunging the knife.

Honda took a place in front of Wanda, noticing she was in a weaker state. "Anyone who's still recovering from the last fight, let those of us with our strength up take this guy on! We need all the help we can get to take on that Revan chump!"

"Don't have to tell me twice," Jianyu muttered, still a bit winded from the stupid running around that Xigbar fucker had her do. Still, she gave Nathan's knife a nice little coating of Psycho Power just in case the metal itself wasn't enough to do some damage to this eggplant jarhead son of a bitch.

As one of Thanos' attacks sent debris flying in Billy's direction, Teddy swooped in to pluck him from the air. As Teddy flew him out of harm's way, Billy allowed himself a moment to lay his head against Teddy's chest, which prompted the other young man to speak.

"I thought you--"

"I know, but it's not real," Billy interrupted. "Well, the people are real, but the situation isn't. Our friends are alive, but only if we win this."

Teddy set Billy down next to Wanda, Honda, and the others. "What do you mean? Does Thanos have them captured?"

"No!" Billy rubbed his eyes, unsure how to put it. "This fight is only phase one! You have to get ready for the fight of your life."

"You mean this isn't it already?!"

Elliot was still recovering slightly, though his brain wracked for some kind of tactical plan. "I'm okay, but I don't think there's much I can do to this guy either way!" he yelled to Nathan. His eyes went wide though when he saw the other young man make a run for Thanos. Worried for his safety, Elliot pulled Nathan through a portal with his powers back to his side. Thankfully, Nathan had been able to stab Thanos just before Elliot pulled him back.

"That was incredibly dangerous!"

However, a new voice suddenly came over the battlefield.

"Strength... to face me?"

The air seemed to shimmer next to Thanos. A rip in reality opened up and a man casually stepped through. He was wearing dark armor, a cloak, and mask that covered his face. Blake's scan of the man would overload his systems.

"Pardon the intrusion, Mad Titan, but these unfortunates have decided to involve me in your fight. I am Revan, and I command quite the army."

Thanos' tone towards Revan could be described as downright contemptuous. "I know who you are, Sith Lord, and what you are attempting." He fired off a blast of energy towards the Young Avengers. "Your arrival is not welcome. I will take care of what you clearly don't have the power to do. Destroy your enemies, and then... I will take care of you. Personally."

"Then we shall settle this matter later."

Elliot staggered on his feet and reached out to roughly grab Nathan by the arm. "That's...!"

"Revan!" Makoto growled. "Don't you see now! How we will never, ever give up?!"

"I see that my precognition was not infallible. It somehow missed the young Wiccan... perhaps if I had been able to see what occurred during Othinus' reset. Regrettable."

"Regrettable?!"

"It's true, everyone," Billy said. "That man is Revan." He looked to his friends, the former Young Avengers. "Guys, our fight is with him. We gotta stop him at all costs!"

"You got it!" Kate said without question. She knew how these things worked.

"I don't know exactly what's going on, but I'm not quitting on you," Eli said, holding his shield up high.

"I don't care what you throw at us, Revan!" Makoto yelled, sounding almost uncharacteristic of himself. "We're making this right!"

"Big words for such minuscule man."

"It seems..." Thanos came in close to deliver a punch at Billy. "That you have forgotten about me. I will now show you why that's a mistake."

America came in to get him off Billy. "Give it your best shot! I might not be with the team anymore but once a Young Avengers always a Young Avenger."

"And suddenly it's a battle on two fronts," Bridgette mused aloud. "Never an easy moment."

"Well the others can deal with the giant prune, I know who my target is." Biscuit leaped forward Revan and was ready to deliver a vicious haymaker to his jaw.

❝ GAHHH!! ❞ Blake screamed in agony from his tech cube overloading upon the arrival of Revan, the nanomachines in his body going haywire. It wasn't long before the cube itself powered off from the sudden power surge, leaving Blake without his trusty data weapon constructs. After coming this far, the ravenette could only stare at what he had left to fight the one responsible for this conflict. Staring at his bare hands.

At this state, he didn't see it as possible to contribute with his own bare hands. A part of him wanted to just let the others do their thing from here on, he would only get in the way until he found a way to fight as well.

Despite this, he couldn't bring himself to give up now. Not when everyone was giving it their all. Despite the pain that radiated throughout his body, he stood with a firm resolve. Despite being left defenseless without his tech cube, Blake took a step forward. Then another. And another. His hand reaching out as if waiting for something to happen.

Why was he even doing this? He didn't even know. Yet, it felt... right to him. Purely justified. This was the end of their journey, and they had to finish it somehow.

Then a sudden memory popped up in his head. Despite having no meaning to this confrontation with Revan at all.

Awkward as it was, he remembered glimpses of the Witch who appeared like his long lost sister, glimpses of her using some sort of sleeping spell on him while in Avalon. Even reminding himself that he fell victim to such a spell so fast, he knew that she was saying something more than just to quell him to sleep, he could read that she said something else by her lips alone.

Oh... that's why he was remembering this all of a sudden.

' In case of the worst, carry a piece of my Miracle with you. '

He was sure that's what the Witch mouthed in steady silence to him. He was starting to think that maybe that Witch really was his sister all along... and that hidden spell of hers was doing its work when Blake was in the "worst" of all situations.

❝ ... carry a piece... of your Miracle, huh? ❞ He mumbled with a distant yet amused smile. That was definitely like her, shoving her problems onto him, especially in advance. Streaks of blue began to build up from the palm of his outstretched hand. Staring ahead at Revan himself, Blake felt faint memories that weren't his to begin with fading in. That explained why Blake had the unconscious urge to settle scores with Revan. He was simply picking up the torch from someone else that was near and dear to him.

A rather faint yet meaningful Miracle resided in him all this time.

❝ ... watch me, Rin, I'll finish your fight for you. ❞

A brilliant flash of blue sparked into life, and fading to reveal a crystallized sword in Blake's grasp. Blueprints of a unique fighting style were given to him upon accepting this Miracle's gift, preparing to make full use of this somehow.

❝ Alright, we're going to settle this here and now, Revan. Not only for my sis's sake, but for everyone else and the multiverse! ❞ Several blue sparks of crystals manifesting into physical form appeared by Blake's side.

❝ I'll gladly use what you thought was my sister's "meaningless power" to grant this Miracle! Granting determination for those who fought their way here to stop you! ❞ Almost like an apparition from the past, a brief flash covered Blake from head to toe, fooling any other's eyes to see him as a particular Witch of Miracles should anyone know her. It wasn't long before that flash went away, showing that this was still just Blake Dormi.

❝ This alone... ❞ Blake finally charges with a burst of magic boosting his aggressive charge forward, preparing to swing the crystallized sword he wielded and about to launch crystallized blasts from the various levitating crystal orbs following him. ❝ ... is my one and only WISH!!!!! ❞

Nathan let out a yell as he plunged the knife into Thanos, smirking at his success- but yelped as he felt himself being flung backward. He grunted as he fell to the ground beside Elliot. The other man had used his powers on him, causing him to frown in annoyance.

"What the hell Elli-" He started but stopped as a portal was ripped open next to their current enemy- from the look on Elliot's face, this was not an ally. The other man muttered out that it was someone as he pulled Nathan up to his feet roughly.

Revan!

Nathan heard Makoto yell, the name shaking Nathan's core. He looked at Elliot, putting his hands on the other man's shoulders before running towards Revan and drawing his gun again. Shooting at him, aiming at his middle- before swinging a punch.

Lucifer had assumed that whatever the ugly purple thing was that it would take more to defeat him then a simple flame trip. He also doubted that playing up, down, sideways would do anything to damage him. Of course, then Revan arrived on the scene. A battle on two fronts, never the easiest thing to do.

Of course, it was noteable that the two didn't seem to get along.... " As invaluable as it would be to destroy others, don't you think it would be more benefical to hurt the interloper who interrupted your fight first? He thinks you are much too weak to take us on without his help." He hadn't even bothered to turn on his mojo, he was just working on what he already knew. He would teleport to a safe distance and use his telekinesis to look like Revan had thrown him into Thanos before shooting fire back at both of them, one with both hands.

"Amusing..." If Thanos was bothered by the fire and heat the Mad Titan didn't show it. Before Ruby's scythe managed to connect with flesh she'd find it be caught in Thanos' hand with a bemused smirk on his face. "Who are you to assume that you could hurt me?" Emily felt the strain on the magical aura until it started to crack and finally shattered. "Children believing themselves to be 'heroes'? Pathetic." Nathan's bullets harmlessly hit his skin and fell to the ground.

"I admire your spirit. However, no matter how hard you struggle." He flung Ruby to the side as he blasted Emily with energy from his hand. "Death is inevitable, and you have only hastened it by attacking me."

"The hell is this guy?" Biscuit replied as she tried to seize up their opponent.

"Thanos the Mad Titan is a threat that few have faced and lived to tell the tale about," Wanda, still weak from the attack she used on Saix was trying to play interference. "The only way we are going to survive this is if we work together and overwhelm him."

"Easier said than done," Biscuit scoffed. "Someone needs to be coordinating us then."

Emily Hayes

Seeing her magic being shattered, Emily was soon reminded of that first battle with a monstrous stonekeeper. One who had turned themselves into a towering creature, and practically overwhelmed her and her allies.

It was then that she realized that she couldn't always win alone.

Sometimes, what counted was the allies you had in a battle.

"You're right Wanda. We'll strike him at once. I'll protect us, and the rest of you... I'll trust in your own decisions." She said.

And just then, Revan appeared, seeming to cause Emily's stone to flare to life in anticipation for the final encounter.

"Revan... Tell me this; How many wrongs make a right! How many more lives are you willing to sacrifice, for a dream that will never be!" She shouted.

And then, it happened. Her stone magic flared up around her body like before, still its fiery, orangish tint, but instead of throwing it directly at Thanos, or Revan, she instead began to use it to empower those in the battle. Every one of her allies had that strange, orangish magic wrapped around their bodies, acting both as a shield, and renewing their strength.

Even Nathan's bullets from his gun were wrapped with this power, guiding them to their intended target, and as he moved to strike Revan, he could feel an unexpected increase in his own strength.

Emily knew now more than ever, that she couldn't just rely on her own powers. Instead, she opted to use every ounce of stone magic she had to strengthen and protect her allies, hoping it would be enough to finally put an end to all of this...

Though her efforts required a good deal of concentration right now, Emily's eyes were completely fixated on Revan for now, carefully watching his every move as she herself prepared to defend against anything that came her way.

If she were to go down, the power she had been using to protect and strengthen her allies would also dissipate. She couldn't let that happen.

Ruby Rose

Ruby in the meantime was reeling after Thanos threw her away, but swiftly found her footing again, digging her scythe into the ground as she surveyed the scene in front of her.

They were up against both a great threat to Billy's own home world, and the very person that was trying to dismantle the multiverse. But yet, with Emily's help, and the other's efforts, she felt... Strenthened.

Surrounded in an orangish magical aura, ontop of her own innate one, she used her semblance once more to charge forwards, firing off a shot from her crescent rose to increase her acceleration.

Soon, it was almost like a spiral of orange, red, and black was rushing its way towards Thanos! One that let out quite the anguished war cry!

Revan used his Force powers to counteract Lucifer's trick, throwing the man away from both of them and forcing him to collide right against Ruby! Revan made short work of the man's fire as well as he sent it flying harmlessly up into the air. "Foolish!" Revan cried. It was then that both Biscuit and Gentaro froze in their mutual charges, time around them stopped. Revan leaped forward and delivered twin blows to the pair that sent them flying as time resumed.

He then turned on Blake, chuckling. "Her power was as meaningless then as it is now!" Revan met Blake's blade with his lightsaber. It was definitely powerful for Revan's blade to not cut through it. Still, Revan seemed unfazed as time began to again fluctuate.

"Oh no you don't!" Billy yelled. He grunted and got himself to his feet after Thanos' attack. "Guys, cover him for a moment," he said to the members of the former Young Avengers. "I gotta deal with this asshole."

Billy appeared next to Revan and Blake, eyes glowing blue.

"You no longer have power over time, Revan," Billy said. "For there is a new Great Spirit to rival the power that you stole from the previous one!"

Revan grunted as a giant flash of blue light enveloped him. With all his might, he shoved Blake away, throwing him into the air. Billy backed off as Revan lashed out with his lightsaber. There would be no more time manipulation it seemed.

"No matter, you forget the infinite power I wield."

Revan turned, holding his hand out toward Nathan's gunfire. Even powered with Emily's magic, the bullets froze in the air, stopped by some kind of telekinetic force. He attempted to shoot them back at Nathan, but Elliot used his powers to make the bullets go away into a portal. Still, even as Nathan landed a punch on Revan, he found that it was like hitting a brick wall. Emily's power seemed to matter little where Revan was concerned.

"Ah, so you are using that too, huh?!" Elliot yelled, running up behind Nathan. He reached out toward Revan, grasping his hand into a fist and seemingly ripping some kind of energy out of Revan, much like he did to Bane.

Revan, for all his might, staggered on his feet and was forced to take a leap back from the two boys. "More clever than I thought you were, Elliot," he said. "And that is saying something, for I did think you rather gifted. However..."

Revan reached a hand into the air. "You are not the only clever one!"

As Revan pulled his hand down, dozens of portals appeared amidst the group and around the battlefield. New warriors appeared out of each one, stepping into the fight. The first three out were Xemnas, Xehanort, and Ansem.

"These assholes...?!" Touma exclaimed incredulously as the three robed men appeared, the boy recognizing at least one of them from during the height of the Revanchist War. It was just fine with him though; if this was to be the final stand-off for the fate of the multiverse, they may as well go at it no holds barred.

More warriors followed, for it seemed just about the entirety of what remained of the Revanchist was now on the battlefield.

Ashley Barton, Medb, Izuru Kamukura, Dagran... they were all here to fight for their cause.

"You've gotta be kidding me!" Claire yelled.

"It's not over yet, Miss Redfield!" Revan exclaimed. He was right, even more were coming, and these ones... "You may have ended my ability to manipulate time, but let me share with you the fruit of my timely exploits!"

Further portals opened, revealing enemies that were the very last people Makoto ever wanted to see again.

One such figure, a towering man in a priest's robe, stepped out of one of many of Revan's portals. With glee that was barely contained into a devious grin that betrayed his exterior once known to be calm and contained, the man -- whom only Makoto and Touma would recognize -- let out a malicious laugh.

"If only my dear tactician, detective, and Punisher were here to see me now," he chuckled, clenching his bony fist in anticipation, crackling noises ringing out. "Now, this must certainly be the divine plan I've been waiting for. Not a battle against someone else, not a battle for the fate of the multiverse, but more than that, a battle with your souls at stake!" He exclaimed madly, opening his arms out as though welcoming the enemies in front of him gleefully.

"Oh God, I thought I hallucinated that guy back then," Touma gritted his teeth as he laid eyes upon Kotomine, having only met him once in the past, and remembering why he had chosen to repress the memory of him.

A second man held a similarly devilish grin as he calmly adjusted his dark trench coat amidst the blowing winds of battle.

"Time to fix a couple of mistakes," the man sneered.

"You talking about yourself?!" Claire snapped back.

"Ah, Claire Redfield... I'll enjoy pummeling you into the earth for what you did to me."

Thirdly, and probably worst of all, was an obnoxious glowing triangle.

"DON'T MIND ME, JUST HERE TO END SOME LIVES!" he yelled.

"Revan has... H-He's really pulling out all the stops!" Makoto exclaimed.

"Sure, but so can I!" Billy responded. "Bring in the cavalry."

Lights exploded out from Billy that burst across the battlefield. For every light, a new friendly face appeared, once of which being none other than the lost Cullen Bloodstone.

"Oi! Did you all forget about me until the final battle? Is that how it is?"

"C-Cullen! Good of you to join us again!" Touma exclaimed. "Please tell me you've got backup! We're gonna need it!"

Nearby, a voice familiar only to Giorno rang out by his side. "On your left, Geronimo," the voice said, predictably getting Giorno's name wrong as though it were the most natural thing in the world.

"I have no idea what's going on, but it sounded like you could use some help, so here I am!" Shichika Yasuri, an old ally of the blonde gangster, gave a smile toward his friend, as though it was the most natural thing for him to be here.

"Don't you two forget about me," said another old ally.

"Of course, Dorian Pavus is impossible to forget, right?"

"Heroes and villains throughout space and time. How exciting..." Kotomine chuckled in the meantime, practically shivering at the collection of opposing warriors arriving to the table.

"Oh, to see you all try and try so hard..." Revan grunted as he shook his head, hardly perturbed by the appearance of new allies to counter his own new forces. "Don't you all see? This is the destined fate of the multiverse. I will lead the multiverse toward its destined prosperity. Why do you all resist so much? What could possibly drive you to try, again and again, to fight against that which is inevitable? How many times has the multiverse been threatened with destruction, only for the date of judgment to be pushed back only by mere days? At least my hand is one that is worthy to rule over the multiverse. Better me than the countless madmen that will simply arise in my place with the same goal, after all. So why then? Why do you persist, even when there is nothing left to save?" he asked, gesturing at the devastated landscape that was this world, one of the last few spaces throughout the multiverse that still existed at all.

"..." Touma gave pause, furrowing his brow as he seriously considered Revan's words. For Touma, he hardly had any doubt as to what he was doing. There was a purpose for what he was doing, something above all else that he wanted to protect and save. He struggled though to put a name to it, even when that something had been in front of his eyes the whole time. Something he observed, even when the entire multiverse was destroyed, that lasted in the people they had met along the way.

It wasn't hope, nor was it a mere survival instinct. It was something much simpler, yet at the same time, much deeper and more profound. It was right there, at the tip of his tongue. He realized it now! It was... It was called...!

"It's love!"

...

"... What?" Revan only responded after a pregnant pause, stirring as though that kind of answer was the last thing he'd expected.

"The thing that we wanted to protect all this time, more than anything else! The thing we found along the way! The thing driving us forward this entire time! The one thing that lasts, reigns eternal, even when the multiverse is all but destroyed!" Touma exclaimed resolutely, clenching his fist tightly. "It was love!"

Touma never had such profound thoughts about love; he was just a normal high school boy, after all. Perhaps that was why it had taken him this long to realize it, but once he did, the entire game had changed for him. He looked back, toward those who had accompanied him this whole time, who had showed him what the meaning of their fight truly was.

"I saw it! In Nathan and Elliot! In Makoto and Kyoko! I saw it when Claire called upon Aqua's power! I saw it in the way Billy cares for the love of his life, the way he cares for his family! It was love all along!" Touma exclaimed unabashedly.

Elliot stammered out a protest. "I-I wouldn't say that applies Nathan and I--"

"Insolent child..." Revan growled, interrupting him. By the sounds of it, Revan had already heard enough of Touma's yammering.

"You wanted to know why we kept going, but the answer was right in front of you the whole time! Love was what drove us forward! What are you driven by, Revan?! You wanted to know why we keep fighting?! It's to protect what was in front of us all this time! Normal people living their lives, with the people they loved! You were so intent on making a new world, but wait 'til you get a taste of this! The power of the normal world!"

Standing defiantly before Revan, Touma narrowed his gaze with red hot determination. "If you think your new world will truly be a better place than the normal world, if you think that the people and places you've sacrificed to achieve your goal was worth the end result, then I'll... No..."

"... We'll break that messed-up illusion of yours!"

"Then let us see who will triumph in the end, once and for all! Just as you intend to stop me with the power of your world, I will show you the power of my world, just like you want it!"

It had finally come. The battle to decide the fate of the multiverse. Whoever the winner was, the multiverse would never be the same again. The countdown had begun for the next day. The first day of the rest of the multiverse. It all began during this time wherein even time ceased to exist.

The Zero Hour.

The final battle had begun.
