Calongáel struck against the thin blade with an almighty clang, delivering a mighty blow that Sarika's wind-enhanced parry was just barely able to deflect to the side enough that the spear-point passed her by, likely sending a shock of force up the woman's arm at the impact. Kinra quirked a brow, impressed that his opponent had successfully guarded against the strike, then grinned. "Well parried!" He called, stepping away from the vine he was grasping. His eyes warily followed the glowing blade, keenly aware of how the closed quarters could work against him as much as in his favour when pitted against a foe seemingly focused on melee combat.
Seeing the skill with which Sarika was able to parry, Kinra judged a spear to not be the most useful form for Calongáel to take. At a mental command, the weapon briefly surrounded itself with light, its form shifting as it passed by Sarika from her deflection. It shrunk and broadened, transforming from the shape of an ornate spear to that of a circular ring blade. By the time the light cleared, the weapon was arcing back around, beginning to rapidly spin like a sawblade as it rocketed towards her.
Leaving the vine wall in place, Kinra then relinquished direct control of the plant, turning his focus instead to avoiding being taken off-guard by a shift to offence on Sarika's part. She seemed to be preparing something with the runes on her weapon, and it would be poor form to underestimate its potential. To that end, with a little smirk, the sylvae boy turned his illusory magics onto Sarika, slipping a veil over her mind to simply ... omit him from it. Had she no protections against such magic, to her, his body would shimmer and vanish from view without a trace. Then, he flit upwards and away, gaining distance from his last known position whilst using his flight to avoid disturbing any dust or debris that might give his movements away.
