A Piece of the world is missing
((This Rp was started on a different site but died so I'm hoping we can bring it back here on STC. Any questions feel free to ask.))
The Bat Family Tragedy was a moment in history that would be deemed as unforgotten, their sacrifice for Gotham and its people, a sacrifice that ultimately led to the unfortunate turn of events that would forever change Gotham. It all would begin on a night unlike any other, a time Batman would seek to take the Joker in for good. As the two long time rivals traded blows, it seemed the overall intensity of the fight overcame the caped crusader, he suddenly clutched his heart and began to collapse, he was having a heart attack and there was nothing to be done. Joker's reaction was all too surprising, instead of reveling in the Batman's death he seemed to be angry about it, deeming his death unfair in his eyes.
The clown prince of crime would go on a week long rampage, showing a ferocity like no other. Calling the Bat Family with every act of malice, his mind so broken he was positive that they were just as strong as the Batman. He fought them just so only to find they were not as resilient, every attempt he made to ensure his long time enemy's tenacity would never die, he killed them all. Eventually the Joker was taken in by the GCPD, but not by use of force or any other means, he actually turned himself in in proclamation that he was done.
A month would pass before the waters were truly tested by the crime society of Gotham, in full force, the acts committed reached a statistic higher than anything ever seen before in the categories of Burglary, Homicide, and Rape all in that order. The police were being literally and figuratively slaughtered on the streets, it was horrible until a day came that a number of heroes found their way to Gotham, quickly sweeping the streets clean in their own special way, albeit efficiently, letting the whole city know, the Knights have made their stand and they're here to stay.
Name: Viran Pronounced Vy-ran
Hero/Villain name: Viran
Age: 22
Appearance: Viran is around 6'4 and has emerald green skin with dark blue eyes. He wears a dark grey body suit which is covered by a black trench coat
Powers: Superhuman strength and Superhuman endurance When he's at the verge of death his superhuman endurance and strength gain a temporary large increase due to genetic modifications as an infant. A side effect of the Genetic modifications is that his body can adapt to what's hurting or killing him but this ability doesn't manifest itself often.
Skills: Experienced hand to hand combatant
Weapons: None
Gear: None
Personality: Originally Viran was a bit cautious when his beat up spacecraft crashed outside of a large city. He had heard rumors that the inhabitants of the planet were not friendly and was afraid of being dissected by someone, but over time he grew to be friends with the group of heroes known as the Titans of the city he crashed outside of and even developed feelings for one of them in particular.
History: Viran was born on a battle-torn world that was known as Valkoris. Although most Valkorians are raised to be warlike and brutal by a militant faction that had taken over many years ago, Viran was born to a family that was part of a group that resisted the military run government and tried to show others the way to a better life then conquering and killing other races. This made them a prime target of the militants three most feared warriors. Eventually, the group was discovered and was nearly wiped out, leaving very few survivors. Viran was one of them, a child that was supposed to be raised to show others that conquering and killing wasn't the answer. The small group of survivors were forced to send Viran away from Valkoris to another world where he would safe and then they were forced to flee or be killed by one of the three enforcers.
Viran landed on a small farming colony and was adopted by a family that didn't fear his Valkorian heritage but decided not to tell him of his heritage. Viran grew from a small infant to a 6'4 giant of a young man who was always happy to help others but couldn't understand why the others on the planet grew frightened when he was around. Eventually, Viran was able to procure a small((and unknown to him, badly built))star ship that allowed him to leave the farming colony so he wouldn't frighten anyone anymore. Before he left, he told his adoptive parents that he would always remember them and that he would always be grateful for what they had done for him over the years. He hugged them goodbye and waved as he left the colony.
Two weeks later, Viran found himself losing power above a blue planet and was forced to make an emergency crash landing. It was shortly after this that he met his first friends, Mason and Mina and with a small group of other heroes, they formed the Teen Titans of Second City. Over time, Viran discovered more of his heritage and was horrified to discover his own dark side. Somehow, during the escape from Valkoris, one of the three enforcers known as "Genocide" had managed to somehow leave a part of himself within Viran which would manifest itself shortly before Second City was attacked by the Militants led by the Valkorian warrior Vengeance who had ruled Valkoris along with Viran who was forced to fight against the Titans as Genocide. During the battle, the militant's ultimate creation was unleashed, the mad genetically engineered Valkorian known as "War." Despite regaining control and the Titans unleashing everything they had against War, he was still standing and still quite willing to fight until the Titan known as Sinna managed to banish him to purgatory with the souls of all of those he had killed. This would prove to be a mistake as he managed to adapt and absorb the souls around him to make himself immeasurably stronger. He later managed to escape and using the corpse of Vengeance, managed to extract Genocide's personality from Viran and place it in the body of his former leader. The two vanished shortly after this for awhile.
For a while, Viran was afraid that his friends would be targeted due to War and Genocide's obsession with him. He was especially afraid for his fellow Titan Mina for whom he had developed strong feelings for. Shortly after, a small group of Valkorian refugees settled outside of Second City and were attacked by War who now went by the name "Death" and Genocide who now called himself "War." Although the two managed to kill or abduct many of the surviving Valkorians, they were finally driven away and have not been seen since.
Other: Feels guilty that the people around him suffer because of War and Death's obsession with destroying him.
Name: Alana
Hero/Villain name: Steel
Age: 19
Race: Human
Alias: None
Appearance: Steel is 5'9 and is covered in a metallic substance that has bonded to her body in a way that makes it extremely painful for her to transform back to her normal human form.
Powers: Superhuman strength and endurance though nowhere near Viran's level.
Skills: Above average hand to hand combatant.
Weapons: None
Gear: None
Personality: Steel has a shy personality because of where she came from but she does try to remain civil most of the time. She has deep buried anger that sometimes gets her in trouble.
Background: Twelve years from now in a possible alternate future, four extremely powerful super-villains have managed to destroy nearly all of the world's heroes and have enslaved the population, leaving only a few resistance fighters to fight against their regime. Alana was a resistance fighter who fought alongside the remaining heroes until one day during a raid against the lair of the villain known as "Blood witch" she came in contact with an silver metallic substance that covered her body and bonded with her cells which transformed her into the hero known as "Steel." Steel continued to fight against the villains that held her world in an iron fist until one day she disappeared in a battle against the leader of the villains known as "Doctor Night," who had ambushed her patrol leaving only a badly wounded Doctor Night, the bodies of her fellow resistance fighters and a scorched battlefield behind. Unknown to the resistance and the four super-villains, Steel was sent into an alternate past by the force of the battle where she was found by the Titans of Second City and ended up joining them after recovering from her injuries.
Other: Was thought to have a relationship with fellow resistance member "Voltage" until she disappeared.
Name: Janice
Hero/Villain name: Voltage
Age: 20
Race: Human
Gender: Female
Alias: Given the nickname "Reaper" after slaughtering a number of Blood witch's higher ranking henchmen
Appearance: Wears a black coat and a full face mask that hides her face. As far as anyone in the resistance knows, only Steel has seen the face of Voltage.
Powers: Manipulation of electricity and ability to fire blasts of electricity. She can also absorb massive amounts of electricity and release it through electrical blasts. This ability takes a lot out of her though.
Skills: Experienced fighter and is able to use the environment to her advantage by combining her powers with the environment
Weapons: None
Gear: None
Personality: Voltage can best be described as a bit of a loner who used to trade with resistance fighter cells until the death of many of her friends which drove Voltage to join the resistance. As someone who lost everyone they know to the villains of their time She can be a bit cold when interacting with people that she doesn't know but it seems as though Voltage has taken a bit of a liking to Steel and often goes to see her when at the main resistance base.
Background: Most of Voltage's history is unknown. The costumed fighter showed up at the resistance base one day dragging the destroyed body of one of Doctor Night's mechanical warriors to the base so resistance solders and scientists could examine the technology that it incorporated and attempt to reverse some of the technology. It was shortly after this that Voltage was seen hanging out around Steel's room and once in a while was even seen leaving it. When Steel disappeared, Voltage stopped visiting the base and was last seen heading towards Doctor Night's citadel. Four hours after Voltage left the base, a massive electrical disturbance was seen on the horizon by resistance scouts which caused massive damage to Doctor Night's citadel and created odd energy readings for a few hours. The resistance has officially listed Voltage as KIA, not knowing that the force of the battle not only badly wounded Doctor Night but also sent her into the same past that Steel was sent to.
