Mundane Lives of The Supernatural (1x1)

That night Carmine stayed up all the way into the morning. The little old vampire lady stirred the sugar into her cup of blood as she watched the morning news. In her own way, she was anxious. It was most noticeable whenever that one particular incident was mentioned. Her supposed niece checks in on her. Marley was accustomed to the old lady's habits. She noted the energy of the stirring, faster with the unease. And the moment the vampire spots her, she begins unloading all her anxieties onto the poor young lady.

Marley had been planning on staying at home. She didn't usually need to go for work during the weekends as that's when the school is closed. Now she wanted nothing more than to get out of the house. Maybe a jog would be good. Yeah, she's going jogging. Anything to escape a highly anxious vampire 'aunt'.

Forest was tired after a long shift at the hospital, but she was also keyed up. The weird patient that had come in alongside the news reports of all the disappearances. The brunette was uneasy.

She needed to run if she was going to get any sleep today. It was bright out and most of the disappearances happened at night so she wasn't worried about being snatched during her job. She went to the public track, and tried to remember the last time she'd gone for a jog. It's been a couple years. On the track the doctor stretched out, glancing at all the other joggers. There was one who, even from a distance, looked vaguely familiar.
