On a side note however, there are some discrepancies. First of which Verdanthome is literally just one giant mysterious jungle, so living in a mysterious forest is like 95% of all Verdantkin. Also the day/night thing is common knowledge so it won't be likely for any Verdantkin to wonder if they were adopted if their parents just so happened to be the different type.

Appearance: Pale skin with blue eyes (naturally). He has short, brown, curly hair and weighs about 150 lbs. He is 5'11" and wears a bracelet made of saplings on his left arm.
Background: Kodner is the eldest of 2 siblings. His family owned a jewelry shop in the woods. His mother had been taught in the School of Nature in the college of Stahlhiem. The bracelet he wears on his arm was made by his two younger sisters. They gave to him as a good luck charm for the college.

Appearance: (There are surprisingly little polar bear demihumans)
Standing at just over 9 feet tall, rippling with muscle and weighing 342 kilograms, Harrison is gigantic, even when compared to most other beastkin. Due to cross breeding between beastkin and humans for the last 200 years since his family first arrived in the human lands, many of the features of his ancestors have been lost, causing Harrison to look more like a human than his animal counterpart. This is not to say, however, that all aspects have been lost. With short pure white hair, lower canines so large that they reach to the tops of his gums, a musculature that is almost impossible for humans to reach and eyes with pupils so large that they dominate the iris and most of the sclera, it is evident to all that he is not purely human.

Background: You know what happens when a kid who, all his life, has known nothing but the rigours of farming, suddenly develops the magical ability to create and control ice? Absolutely nothing. The only evidence Harrison had of his magical ability for years was just small things such as permafrost in summer or waking up somewhat colder than usual. Harrison wasn't even aware of Magic's existence until a few months prior to his transfer to Stahlheim, when his latent ability finally awoke in such a manner that it could not be passed off as just 'weird'. It took an entire field of crops being frozen within ice almost instantaneously for both him and his parents to realise that he was magical. So, in response, he was quickly chartered on for Stahlheim and sent off to the school.
