The Wardens (small group roleplay)

Brief Disclaimer
This shouldn't be considered political in any way, I am simply using the situation in the middle east as a base for a future scenario. I know the likelihood of something like this happening is slim to none, it should be taken with a little creative license and a pinch of salt, in the way all creative works are. Please don't label it as unrealistic or anything like that, the whole point of this is it is a possible scenario, in a modern realistic setting, and one of the main factors is that the faction you will play as are entirely seperate from established governments etc so yeah.

Backstory

It is January 1st, 2020. The world has been plunged into chaos, stemming from the war on terror and the subsequent refugee crisis, the result of the destabilization of middle eastern and African countries. At the end of 2017, the Syrian civil war ended in a government-rebel peace treaty, and a free election. The election never happened. While the coalition pushed ISIS back in Iraq, they gained ground in Syria, gaining support from discontented rebel and government forces alike, unhappy with the outcome. Syria was overrun, and taken back into a state of civil war and anarchy. Next, with weakening support at home in coalition countries, and elections in the EU resulting in drastic policy changes, coalition forces began to weaken their military support in Iraq and the middle east in general. It was plunged into anarchy, the only states to survive were Saudi Arabia, Israel and Iran.

In 2019, several veterans of various nations militaries, banded together after seeing the futility of the fight their countries were pursuing. They chose a different path. They called themselves the Wardens, guardians of the weak, the powerless, and the persecutors of the unjust and immoral. They have shrugged off their old, national allegiances, in favor of a new one. The Wardens, elite warriors, formed from the core of most armies on the planet, with one goal in mind - peace through force. They see no other recourse, and they will give no quarter. These veterans, a small group of 20, had no base, little equipment and money, and no support. So they waited, and watched, timing their moment carefully. It came in mid 2019, when Saudi Arabia was attacked by insurgents, and on the brink of collapse. These men stepped in, now numbering 40. Through their contacts in their old militaries, the procured transport to the country and fought back the insurgency by using guerrilla tactics against them. After the battle of Riyadh, the insurgents were pushed back into the desert and adjacent countries. The Wardens pursued ruthlessly, hunting them down and taking their weapons, equipment and whatever money and supplies they could. After a month of this, they returned to the capital they had saved. They explained their predicament, and the Saudi's gave them money and arms, and a small plot of land in northern Saudi Arabia. A radical solution to a radical problem. Only the highest members of the worlds governments knew of their existence, and most ignored them, writing them off as a rogue PMC group, taking advantage.

The leaders knew now what they had to do. On their plot of land, they built a small compound, calling in whatever favours they could, begging and stealing for everything they could get. Now they have a couple helicopters, an arsenal of weapons and enough supplies to keep them going for as long as they need. They keep recruiting, and everytime they complete a mission they get more money, from locals donating to their services, from things they steal from the enemy and sometimes governments and groups donating, hoping they will be visited again by the Wardens.

Who are The Wardens?

The elite of the world's militaries, at the beginning of 2020, they number about 80 soldiers and 40+ support staff, ranging from mechanics and engineers to medics and pilots. You don't apply to join their ranks, you are picked by their recruiters throughout the world. They find you after exceptional gallantry, heroism and bravery. These values, coupled with the morals of wanting to do good, make you a Warden. They have a compound in north Saudi Arabia, and operate throughout the world, when they can get transport. They have two helicopters, and a dozen vehicles, mostly MRAPs and jeeps.

How the game will work
Thanks for reading this far!! So basically I will function as the game master for this roleplay, and I will decide what missions and opportunities become available, and I will describe the actions of the enemy for the most part. The players will be free to decide among themselves where to go, how to accomplish their objectives and what equipment they use. There will be many opportunities to forge relationships with constantly evolving factions in the world, gain funding and fight in varied environments. There will also, of course, be a massive emphasis on character interaction at the base and in mission, as the team will rely on eachother.

To you guys
Hi there thanks for reading this all. Basically just want to register interest, I really need like 5 people minimum because of the scale of this roleplay. It is essentially endless and limitless in scope, wit hso much possibility. Before I mock up character sheets and all that stuff, I want to make sure there is an interest in this kind of roleplay. Thanks, and any feedback is appreciated even if you don't want to partake in this. Please comment if you are interested :)

Name:
Nickname:
Gender:
Age:
Remember you're all elite in your field. You're not likely to be teenagers or 70+. Most realistic age bracket will be somewhere between 24 and maybe 40/50, with some exceptions. For example support personnel (medics, engineers, pilots) are more likely to be older, whereas front line combatants will have an advantage from being younger, so are more likely to be the frontline. However with enough justification just about any age is acceptable for any specialty/class.
Nationality: The country that your character originates from.
Languages Spoken: Most characters will speak English and all will have at least a basic understanding of it, because special operations forces usually get training in English, as well as other languages (including their native one obviously).

Race:
E.g. African-American, Caucasian etc.
Build: Light, medium and heavy. Will affect some aspects, such as how fast a character is or how quick a character is.
Description: A brief description of your character and how they look, a few sentences will do it, with any distinctive scars or other features.

Class/Specialty: The class or thing they specialize in, for example being a medic or a machinegunner. This will effect what proficiencies are allowed, and how effective your character is in certain roles. For example, a rifleman won't be able to fly a fighter jet, but a medic will have a much higher chance of saving someone from a life threatening injury.
Proficiency: The guns your character is best with, and what skills they have, effected by their class/specialty. You can have up to 4 of these, for example a medic with the proficiency: First aid, surgery, rifles and negotiation. These skills can be pretty much anything positive, and will have an effect on every decision that you and your allies take in game.

Equipment:
The equipment your character has and carries into battle. Such as an M4 rifle, armour (this includes bulletproof vest, helmet etc as these are standard battle gear), medkits, extra ammo and food, NVGs, things like that. Anything you can think of. However, take into account how much these things each weigh, and your characters body type. They will slow you down.
Weapons: The weapons your character carries into battle. Remember that in real war, soldiers carry one large weapon and often one sidearm, depending on your class. For example, snipers often carry a sniper rifle and submachinegun, whereas riflemen carry a rifle and a handgun, and pilots often only carry a submachine gun.

Former unit(s) and combat experience:
The former units your character has served with. This is impacted by your nationality, e.g. Russian's might serve in the Spetnaz, but only in exceptional circumstances would foreigners be allowed to serve in their ranks in any capacity. Some special forces have differing policies on this, so doing your research is advised. Also what combat have they take n part in? You are encouraged to consider conflicts which could have taken place in the dystopian future. For example, did your soldier fight in Egypt, as it fell?
Rank (In former unit): This will depend in some part on the special forces for example US Navy Seals use naval ranks whereas most others use army ranks. Again, if you're unsure ask or look it up.

Personality:
A few sentences describing your character as a human being, what they like and dislike, how they act and talk.

History: A paragraph at least, and however long you want to make it, about your character's childhood and their life, as well as their more recent history and how they came to join The Warden's.

If interested please feel free to post a character sheet on this thread, and if you have ANY questions ask in the thread or PM me :)

Class/Specialty: amphibious warfare and paratrooper (can properly dive from the sky and operate several types of land & water based vehicles.

Former unit(s) and combat experience:
Raider trooper brigade (2 years - Corporal) & The french foreign legion ( 7 years - Major)

Personality:
Focused on the mission, doesn't complain or fear much of dying

History: Takoda was just a boy when his mother died. The entire nation was on fire, cars mowing over people and no peace in sight. He saw no future with his family, his brother died to a overdose and father too weak and depressed to even get out of bed. He joined the military and was first assigned to peacekeeping on the streets, throwing teargas and bashing people down same age as him. Then he asked to join the air force, but to no avail. Instead, he was given the option to join in the Greek raider trooper brigade where he was taught much of courage. On one the raider troopers joined forces on peacekeeping missions with the foreign legion, who he saw as fearless. Determined to leave his country and live a life preventing disasters at its core he joined the legion. In the foreign legion he with many others went on several peacekeeping missions throughout the African continent and middle east. He felt finally like he was doing the right thing, saving people, removing bad guys. Governments were corrupt, but independent organisations was not he thought. But that changed when he and his company was betrayed. The mission was going to be simple, an embassy had been taken hostage, get in and free them. The part where the informed numbers of enemies were more than ten times as many as first informed who also knew their plan of attack increased the difficulty quite the bit. It was not after three days of torture that the wardens entered as rescuers. Takoda was grateful and begged to join the wardens. To him, they were what he wished the foreign legion was, real heroes. Instead, his former employment had been corrupted and he a victim of it. Trough the help of the wardens Takoda hoped to one day take his revenge.

Passionate about medicine and psychology. Finds gardening calming.

History: Immigrated from France to America at age of 11 with a single mother who remarried at age 13. He disliked his step-father, a military man who wanted Alain to also experience military life and the lessons it taught. He was made to apply to the Army Reserve at age 17 - briefly enjoying the time away from home - but ultimately leaving after his min. 1 year was up.
Pursued a medical career from the age of 18, purposefully losing contact with family, and completing his undergrad course and medical school by age 26. As a way of celebrating, he decided to contact his step-father only to find that he, too, had also passed. Alain switched to an Army career the same year.
He joined the Army National Guard at 27, then the Green Berets 3 years after and found a job in the Army that also utilised his medical background (Special Forces Medical Sergeant). One of the best in his field, he was offered a place at The Wardens which he accepted.
