Resolved/Answered Too Many Emails

How do I disable email alerts for things like Conversations and threads I post in? I tried unclicking all the boxes for email alerts in my Alert Preferences, twice, but I'm still getting emails for every reply I get. It's getting annoying and filling up my inbox, I check the site enough to not need emails at all. Any help?

If you've unclipped the one that says email alerts for topics, then you won't get any emails for new threads you comment on. But to disable topics you already have commented on and get emails for, you'll have to go to them manually, unwatch them, and then watch them again but unchecked the email box.

Currently that's the only way I know, and a bit a of pain, but it's how I did it.

As cream said, changing your settings only impacts future posts. Threads you already have watched will remain watched until you manually unwatch them. However you don't need to do it one at a time.

OK, that helped with threads. Thank you both for that. But I'm still getting alerts for Conversations/PMs. That wasn't in the Threads option.
